Zero
Today, my long 3 year game data got corrupted. It was mostly my fault because I was doing a year simulation and the power went out, and when I rebooted it wouldn't turn on. I turned the power off though to play a joke. Oh well. 1997 WWF here we go again. Maybe change a few things up this time around. Oh well. thought I would vent
mitsukaikira
Just copy the backup save... unless you lost that too.
Mkelm44
Just copy the backup save... unless you lost that too. I've had this happen to me too... and what do you mean backup save? Do you mean as in a copy of the file you made, or as in there is actually a backup copy the computer automatically saves for you?
Irish Wolf
In the folder for the saved game there are two folders Backup and Temp (I think. Sure about there being two not sure about the names). Go into the backup folder copy all the files, pastem over the files in the main folder for the save and load up. You'll get a message saying something like if there are problems yada yada. But it shoudl allow you to regain your game.
Wallbanger
I have gotten into the habit of making two copies of any active game via the Copy Game button on the Load Game screen. One I will tag with _BAK, then I will copy the files from that game (in the SaveGames/Name of Game_BAK folder) to a portable drive. The other I will tag with _TST and use if I think something's going wonky so I can compare behaviors between games. I try to remember to refresh these after each show I book. Overkill perhaps, but I think it's worth it.
Zero
the files were still messed up after i did the back up none of the wrestlers or promotions were in there hah. So now I am in the process of doing a new mod. Not sure if I want to start over or start at WWF 1997 or I may skip to 2001 not positive yet
