Last TNA show occurred in April with their pay per view LockDown. TNA wrestling was put up on sale. Everyone in the wrestling community expected Vince McMahon to purchase the now-defunct TNA as he did with WCW and ECW years earlier. Instead, a group of investors led by former WCW Exec. and WWE employee, Eric Bischoff, purchased TNA for $15 million and merged it into a start-up promotion, Alliance Championship Wrestling. The company formed, Xentertainment Corporation, will official debut in October with monthly pay per views beginning with ACW Starting Point. ACW will feature the ACW World Heavyweight Title, ACW Television Title, ACW X-Division Championship Title and ACW World Tag Team Title. They will feature two touring weekly shows, iMPACT and Coast2Coast running on Wednesday and Friday. Eric Bischoff comments, "Given, TNA, and myself, are given this second chance to finally ascends from the problems of the past and move toward the direction towards the future of professional wrestling. We have a lot of money to work with. Almost the same with my time in WCW. But we are going to do this right. We are taking the route of cutting edge as our business approach.
