All competitors make their way to ringside. They now wait anxiously to see when, and more importantly, who, they’ll be wrestling.

R.M. Stones showcases the Old Man Rivers Memorial trophy that will be handed out to the winner of tonight’s event.

Kali Fornia and Dharma Gregg are doing the honors of drawing the names, and the two couldn’t look more different. Kali is dripping sex in a very revealing, very skin tight outfit while Dharma plays the girl next door role as innocently as possible, complete with sweater tied across her taut stomach.
Kali spins the bingo basket, grabs a piece of paper and unfurls it.

Amazing Fire Fly flew around the ring as tried to tire out the notoriously poor conditioned Zachary Inc. The plan may have worked if Fire Fly toned down his risk taking as he came off the top rope one too many times and Inc. caught him in a Credit Crunch.

Dharma pulls her paper out, turns toward Kali, and drops her paper between Kali’s cleavage. As Kali is stunned by her brashness, Dharma reaches in and pulls the paper out using only her teeth.

“Kelly Taylor!!” she says with a wink.

Kelly Taylor gives Fearless Blue a surprisingly tough match up in the early round but is bested by the former XDW mainstay due mostly to his quickness and aerial ability.

Fearless Blue defeats Kelly Taylor.

Clearly pissed, Kali lets Dharma pull the first name.

Kali, with a smirk on her face, imitates the stunt and pops the paper fully into her mouth. It reemerges unfolded after a few seconds. As seductively as she can muster, Kali reads off the next name.

Sonic attacked the injured Morgan ruthlessly but the best natural wrestler in the HWA slowly regained control before slapping the STF on Sonic who mercifully tapped out.

With only two men left, it’s obvious who will face each other as Fearless Blue slides into the ring and panders to the crowd. Zachary Inc. takes his time on the outside as he’s still trying to regain his breath from earlier.

The lights flicker for several seconds and when they come to, a colossal, well-built, massive man stands behind Fearless Blue, hulking over him. He grabs Blue around the throat and delivers a massive one handed chokeslam to the high flier. The mystery man leaves the ring as Zachary Inc. crawls inside and covers the motionless Blue.

Zachary Inc. defeats Fearless Blue.

With Inc. in the ring, Morgan slides in as the other finalist and starts to put the boots to his still winded foe. Fearless Blue still lays on the mat and Morgan pulls Inc. towards the middle of the ring. Inc. barely puts up a fight as Morgan slaps on his patented STF. Inc. doesn’t even have the energy to tap out as he noticeably starts to fade. The lights in the gymnasium flicker again and when they come to, the mystery man from before prys Morgan off of Inc. Morgan strikes at the man and lands three blows before the behemoths completely overpower him. A one handed chokeslam completely saps Morgan of every ounce of fight in his body. The giant places Zachary Inc. overtop of Morgan and R.M. Stones is forced to make the count.

Taylor will be getting a picture shortly. He was a randomly generated worker so I had to find something to suit him. He's building to a gimmick and the picture I chose for him kind of gives it away. Not too many shows left before he'll have a face.

And Zachary Inc. is mad over in the HWA. He's really the only guy I worry about being stolen. He has chemistry with tons of people on the roster and his stamina has skyrocketed.

He's the most over guy in the HWA. From starting at zero in the Tri-State area, he was up to 22 popularity there in less than a year. I think the next closest guy was at 14 on my roster. For a 0/0/0/0 promotion, I'm impressed.

Prepare yourself ladies. I will come back and enter into the Old Man Rivers Memorial Tournament. And I will win. Year after year after year. The asshats back stage will have no choice but to change the name in recognition of me. Then we can forget the old dead **** that is Old Man Rivers. In my short time in this company, I’ll have killed the careers of two old bastards.

But, it gets lonely at the top. I’m the sole reason this company continues to exist. I’ve yet to lose here. And I never will. Some of you may point to January when I choked out that old ****. He passed out. I was ‘disqualified’. But I’m getting distracted.

I rarely do anything for you people because you’re just not worth it. You come here to see success. You come here to see someone achieve their goals. I don’t want to pose for polaroid’s with your family because you’re too poor to afford a digital camera. And I don’t want to waste my energy on punks who don’t deserve it. Prepare yourselves people for the awe inspiring sight that is Leon ‘Giant’ Brody.”

The hulking man who squashed Fearless Blue and Thomas Morgan last month walks to the ring with a purpose. He towers over everyone at ringside and takes his place behind Inc. with his arms crossed and a determined scowl on his face.

Before Zachary Inc. can say another word about his import, Kamikaze Christian Vars appears from the back with a microphone in hand.

Inc. can’t help but laugh.

[Vars]: “So this guy is just going to come here, say nothing, and beat up your opponents? Not on my watch!”

And with that, Kamikaze Christian Vars storms the ring where the two men stand. As the giant brute takes it to Vars, Inc. slowly slinks out of the ring. After a few seconds, Amazing Fire Fly comes to Vars’ aid and R.M. Stones signals that we have a match on our hands.

Vars lived up to his Kamikaze nickname by storming the ring. The giant bodyguard showed no mercy to Vars or Fire Fly as he hit both men with a barrage of punches and kicks and power moves before ending the youngsters night with simultaneous chokeslams and covered both for the win. Strictly business, he walks straight to the back before Stones can raise his arm in victory.

Leon ‘Giant’ Brody defeat Kamikaze Christian Vars & Amazing Fire Fly.

As the two youngsters are helped to the back, Kelly Taylor walks to the ring with little fanfare. He looks upon the kids with pity and solace before he enters the ring. Daredevil Aero is quick to follow and the two men shake hands before locking horns.

Taylor outwrestled the more agile Aero from the get-go, but Aero kept fighting back due to his high impact aerial moves. Aero gambled one too many times though, and as he tried to springboard off the ropes, Taylor caught him with a dropkick that spilled Aero to the outside. Seconds after he hit the floor, Super Sonic was out and laying the boots to Aero. A quick DDT to the floor followed and Sonic rolled Aero back into the ring. Taylor just stared at Sonic as a trickle of blood escaped from Aero’s mouth. Taylor had no choice but to cover his downed opponent and pick up his first victory in HWA.

Sonic rolls into the ring and stands face to face with Taylor. Neither man seems ready to stand down. After almost a full minute, Taylor exits the ring and pulls Aero out with him.

Super Sonic grabs a microphone as the two men head towards the back.

His thick southern drawl seems more pronounced tonight than usual.

[Sonic]: “2007. XDW goes outta business. All I hear from Aero and Blue and Deluxe and Xavier is how ya’ll are gonna make the big time. Ya’ll think Eisen is gonna come callin’? Ya’ll think Rip Chord is gonna see ya’ll fightin’ with trashcans and jumpin’ off the ropes and offer ya’ll a fancy deal? That’s why XDW failed. It’s why HWA will fail. Ya’ll kept wantin’ to go somewhere else. Somewhere better. What was wrong with what we had? Ya’ll keep wanting to be known bout the Quest? Well **** the Quest.”

In the back we’re greeted to Honey Golightly talking with Extreme Deluxe.

[Golightly]: “I’m here with The Backyard Sensation, Extreme Deluxe. Deluxe, you alluded to something about Xavier’s past but really haven’t said anything else about it since. Any chance you’ll give us a sneak peek…?

[Deluxe]: “He’s living a lie. He needs to embrace his past. I’ll give him another shot to do it on his own. If not, I’ll see him in the ring in December. Mr. Bambino saw to it that I’ll get a shot at the championship he holds so dear to him.”

Deluxe simply walks away, leaving Honey frustrated that she didn’t get any type of answer from him.

But quickly she’s on the heels of another story, quite literally, as she follows Jebediah around the backstage area.

Jebediah ignores her as he flips trashcans open, peers into rooms, and stalks about the hallway.

[Golightly]: “Come on Jeb, the world wants to know what happened between you two.”

Jebediah stops in his tracks and stares at Honey.

[Jebediah]: “The world…? The whole world is watching me…? My Ma can see this? My Pa? My brother Ezekiel? My sister…But they don't even have those...”

“AAHHH!” Honey shrieks as Pyromaniac ambushes Jebediah from behind.

The surprise knocked Jeb off his feet and it allows Pyro to put the boots to him.

[Pyromaniac]: “I didn’t do anything man! Déjame en paz!”

Jebediah reaches up and grabs Pyro by the throat. As he regains his feet, Pyromaniac has picked something up in his hands. As Jeb gets face to face with his assailant, Pyro uses something hidden in his hands to shoot a quick burst of flames into Jebediah’s face.

Jebediah hits the ground clutching his face as Honey Golightly screams.

[Golightly]: “We need a doctor! Someone get an ambulance!”

Pyromaniac had long left the scene by the time help arrived to look at Jebediah’s condition.

With all of the commotion in the back, the wrestlers made their way to the ring with little reaction. Xavier Reckless and Thomas Morgan look to team up against their adversaries, Extreme Deluxe and Zachary Inc.

Morgan was visibly still dealing with the injuries sustained from the attack during last month’s tournament but more importantly, he was constantly looking over his shoulder for another attack. Reckless shouldered much of the work and traded off between Deluxe and Inc. without problem for a while. When Morgan tagged in, his injuries were just too much for him to overcome. He was a step slow. He couldn’t react in time. To make matters worse, Leon ‘Giant’ Brody did show up, standing at the entrance watching the ring. Morgan eventually tagged out but was physically done at that point. Reckless had Inc. sprawled out with a Slingshot DDT but he took his eyes off his man adversary, who lived up to his ‘Sensation’ nickname by completing a 460 degree splash on Reckless as he tried to pin Inc. A Deluxe Driver II was next, just to assert his dominance.

Extreme Deluxe and Zachary Inc. defeated Xavier Reckless and Thomas Morgan when Deluxe pinned Reckless.

Official Harlem Wrestling Alliance Press Release

It is with great sadness that I inform fans of the Harlem Wrestling Alliance that one of our own has passed onto the other side.

Kali Fornia was an original member of the HWA roster and was in attendance at every show. She could be seen handing out t-shirts to the fans or getting the crowd excited for the upcoming match. She was the first female employed by the HWA and helped make the company inviting for future coworkers Honey Golightly and Dharma Gregg. She was committed to the wrestling persona that she chose in ways many of us have never seen and may never see again. She lived and breathed the character that she portrayed and for that she should be commended. She was an upstanding individual and a great locker room presence. The HWA, and the world, will be a worst place without her.

This Monday, the HWA will hold a company viewing and memorial for our fallen coworker. Her family and friends are holding a private ceremony later in the week. In lieu of flowers, the HWA and her family request donations be made to the charitable organization St. Jude Children's Hospital.

I could never find any re-renders of the guys I'm using! That may be put into use.

And it was more unexpected than R.I.P. worthy. I mostly upset because it killed a storyline...no pun intended.

Amazing Fire Fly vs. Super Sonic

The lightening quick luchador Amazing Fire Fly takes on the Redneck Luchador in a fast-paced battle between an established wrestler and one trying to make his mark in the HWA. Sonic has to be somewhat relieved that Jebediah is no longer on his tail but how long will that truly last?

Extreme Deluxe vs. Thomas Morgan

Tag opponents last week face off in singles competition but both men have their eyes on other prizes. For Deluxe, it's the fact that he's not getting a title shot this month while for Morgan, he still has an unresolved issue with Zachary Inc. Will these storylines play into the match or will the competitors be able to focus on each other?

Xavier Reckless vs. Kamikaze Christian Vars

Ownership was impressed by Vars lack of regard for his own safety in trying to take on Leon ‘Giant’ Brody on his own and have awarded him a championship bout with Xavier Reckless. Can the youngster shock the HWA faithful and come home with the title?

Pyromaniac vs. Trauma

Pyromaniac is coming off a month where he blinded Jebediah with a fireball to the face. Does he have any other tricks up his sleeve? And Trauma...well...Trauma sucks.We can only hope there's another fireball waiting for him.

As the second video plays, Daredevil Aero makes his way to the ring.

“What happened last week is disgusting…Jebediah is still in the hospital due to the burns on his face. At HWA Welcome to the Terrordome, I will be facing off with Pyromaniac on behalf of Jebediah. And don’t think I haven’t forgotten about you Sonic. You’ll find yourself in that match too.”

The first real match of the evening consists of Super Sonic taking on the Amazing Fire Fly.

Fire Fly has really stepped his game up in recent weeks and scored several near falls on the former XDW member. Sonic rolled out of the ring to catch his breath from the highflier from south of the border but was visited by his foe, Daredevil Aero. Returning the favor from last week, Aero delivered a DDT onto the floor on Sonic and rolled him into the ring. Fire Fly had no moral quarrels like Kelly Taylor did and took to the top rope to hit his patented Sky High Fire Fly splash onto the down and out Sonic.

[Taylor]: “This whole place is deplorable.”

[Bambino]: “What do you mean Kelly?”

Thomas Morgan, still bandaged up, slowly strolls down to the ring to take on Extreme Deluxe.

[Taylor]: “You have a man running around who burned another human beings face. You have an injured wrestler that shouldn’t be anywhere near a ring about to fight. You let women be objectified and dress like objects. You promote violence, chaos, and anarchy. Just last week my match was interrupted nonetheless it was still permitted to continue. Something has to be done.”

Extreme Deluxe walks to the ring, high off his win over Xavier Reckless in the tag match last month.

[Golightly]: “What needs to be done Kelly?”

[Taylor]: “I think the proper course of action is already underway. This…environment is being cleansed. The purification started four days ago.”

[Golightly]: “Four days ago…?”

[Bambino]: “...Do you mean Kali Fornia’s death!?”

[Taylor]: “Some beings are just not fit for this world with their perversions. Think of it like litter on the Freeway; some higher power makes sure it gets cleaned.”

[Golightly]: “Get the F*ck out of here! Now!”

Calmly and surely, Taylor pushes away from the announcers table and sets his headset down. He walks back to the curtain.

[Golightly]: “Can you believe that f*cking guy? He just insulted someone who unfortunately passed away. I…I can’t do this right now.” Honey Golightly removes her microphone and walks backstage. A look of shock and disgust cannot be wiped from her face.

Lee Bambino is left calling the action for Thomas Morgan and Extreme Deluxe.

Even hurt, Morgan shows off his mat skills and is able chain together a drop toehold into his STF submission finisher. It isn’t applied long though as Leon ‘Giant’ Brody hits the ring and dismantles Morgan. With R.M. Stones about to call for the bell, Brody makes sure he sees things from his perspective and has him count the pin fall for Extreme Deluxe.

Extreme Deluxe defeats Thomas Morgan following interference from Leon ‘Giant’ Brody.

Xavier Reckless exits the curtain and stands facing the ring, microphone in hand.

The one where I founded XDW and gave you a platform to showcase yourself? No, can’t be that. The one where I relaunched the HWA and brought you along? No, not that either. Must be when I beat you to win the King of New York Championship, right? No? Then what is it Deluxe…”

[Deluxe]: “Do you even hear yourself? Where was the guy that took the XDW by storm? Where was the young man who had a ‘don’t give a flying f*ck’ attitude and talked sh*t every single night? The one who went out and caused fights and f*cked random b*tches every night? What is this cookie cutter mold that you’re trying to fit into? You want to act like you’re better man? We grew up in this business together. We partied together. We drank together. F*ck Reckless, we smoked crack out of the same Pepsi cans together."

[Reckless]: “…I…We...did no such thing…”

[Deluxe]: “Oh come on Xavier. You’re an embarrassment to us all. Your first title defense was against Trauma. F*cking Trauma! You’re the head of a company where you employ your friends. We know your vices. And now you’re going to act like you’re a role model? Where’s the man that made us better at what we do? In XDW, on the independent scene, you stood behind Blue, Aero, me especially. You pushed them but we pushed each other to be the best. There was no good/bad guy sh*t. We used to be inseparable. Yet you’ve changed. You’re living like you’re on top. Look around. We’re in a f*cking gymnasium and it’s not even sold out. You’ve gotten soft Xavier. You’ve lost sight of things.”

And with that, Deluxe slips out of the ring and follows Leon ‘Giant’ Brody to the back. Xavier looks shook as Deluxe passes him by. Neither man makes a physical threat against the other.

As Xavier stands there, shell shocked, his opponent, Kamikaze Christian Vars, makes his way to the ring.

Xavier Reckless had his mind elsewhere and was never in control of this match. Vars wanted to prove he could shine on the big stage and was calculated, for once, with every risk he took. Although he was never in control, Xavier did manage to dole out some damage to the youngster. The tide of the match turned as Reckless tried to superplex Vars off the top rope. Vars knocked Reckless down to the mat and unleashed his reverse 460 degree splash. Reckless brought his knees up and cradled the suicidal highflier, barely escaping with his championship.

Xavier Reckless defeats Kamikaze Christian Vars to make defense number two of the King of New York Championship.

Reckless sits on the mat, still stunned over the altercation with Deluxe earlier that evening.

#HWA Following the confrontation earlier this evening, Fearless Blue will take on Zachary Inc. next month at HWA Valley of Chrome.

#HWA Honey Golightly held a vigil and a moment of silence in remembrance of Kali Fornia. It really helped the atmosphere backstage.
