Journal Entry #7

If we ever make it big, I feel like this will be a good story: The Old Man Rivers Memorial Tournament competitors are chosen completely at random...well, as random as a computer program can make something. I assign every active wrestler a number alphabetically and then take the eight numbers the simulator gives me and pick which wrestlers that corresponds to.

I told Lee this and he didn't believe me. I finally had to show him the excel sheet I had set up. He thinks I'm crazy. But then again, this is a man who hired me when I had zero wrestling knowledge.

How am I supposed to know who to push? Normally, I think, you would push the popular guys or the ones ready to break through to the next level. Have you seen this roster? I've thought about experimenting with the random simulator and letting that also choose the winner. Could you imagine? I could be one step away from Pyromaniac and Trauma (Well, last year) winning something. Maybe it could decide the finalist...

That's crazy. Or is it?

Okay okay. It's crazy.

HWA Old Man Rivers Memorial Tournament

The Weston Gymnasium

Attendance: 68

*All matches contested under hardcore rules unless stated otherwise*

Lee Bambino is seen holding a microphone and starts talking in his signature high-pitch voice.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=LeeBambino_alt2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/LeeBambino_alt2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

“Ladies and gentlemen, due to the unavailability of Dharma Gregg tonight, the competitors will be announced by me.”

The crowd groans as they were expecting someone with a little more sex appeal…and a lot less penis.

“First up tonight, we have reigning tournament champion Zachary Inc. taking on Nigel Svensson.”

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ZacharyInc.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ZacharyInc.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=NigelSvensson.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/NigelSvensson.jpg" border="0" alt="Nigel"></a>

In a repeat of their HWA MOTY contender, the Swede and the 8 Mile product told a story in the ring. Nigel isn’t quite ready to go toe to toe with Inc. but the time isn’t soon off.

Zachary Inc. defeats Nigel Svensson.

“The next two names for the Mexican Luchador Amazing Fire Fly and Kelly Taylor.”

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=m017.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/m017.jpg" border="0" alt="Kelly Taylor"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=AmazingFireFly.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/AmazingFireFly.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

A remarkably even affair as the opening two matches produce some great in-ring action. Fire Fly nearly pulls out the victory but succumbs to an Angel’s Grace from Taylor.

Kelly Taylor defeats Amazing Fire Fly.

Lee continues in his high-pitch voice.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=LeeBambino_alt2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/LeeBambino_alt2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Bradley Blaze gets what he’s been wanting for a while now, as he takes on the Amish Jebediah!”

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=Jebediah-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/Jebediah-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Jebediah"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=BradleyBlaze.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/BradleyBlaze.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The two men tore into one another from the get-go and the action quickly spilled to the outside. The young cowboy fared well against the massive Amish man. R.M. Stones repeatedly warned them to get into the ring but neither man paid him any mind. As he counted them out, the two men brawled near the entrance.

Jebediah vs. Bradley Blaze is ruled a count out. Neither man advances.

As Jebediah started to gain the upperhand in the slugfest, another Texan jumps him from behind.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=MarshallDillon.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/MarshallDillon.jpg" border="0" alt="Marshall Dillon"></a>

He was no match for the two cowboys.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ThePilgrim.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ThePilgrim.jpg" border="0" alt="The Pilgrim"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=XavierReckless-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/XavierReckless-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Kade"></a>

The last two first round competitors jump in the ring and lock up. Luckily for all involved, the match was a short one as Kade Codeine picked up the victory after only three minutes.

Kade Codeine defeat The Pilgrim.

“Our first semifinal match is Zachary Inc. taking on Kelly Taylor.”

Another Taylor vs. Inc. matchup has the fans on their feet as they witness two of the most known wrestlers trade blows.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ZacharyInc.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ZacharyInc.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=m017.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/m017.jpg" border="0" alt="Kelly Taylor"></a>

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=XavierReckless-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/XavierReckless-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Kade"></a>

Kade Codeine, realizing he has a free pass to the finals, sits and watches with a smug look on his face.

Inc. looks to keep the tournament title in his grasp and seems likely to do so as Taylor seems off his game tonight. It wouldn’t matter though as Xavier Reckless made his presence felt and stormed the ring, laying rights and lefts on both competitors. Kade Codeine vaults into the ring to stand tall with his brother as he lays boots into whoever was weaker at the moment. R.M. Stones calls for the bell as the match breaks into utter chaos.

No contest.

“Does this mean…Kade Codeine is the Old Man Rivers Memorial Tournament winner…?”

As the announcers bicker back and forth over what to make of this development, R.M. Stones finally has the four men separated into different corners. That’s when I decide to make my presence known.

“Following the interruption of the last match, it would seem like Kade Codeine is the tournament winner. But seeing as he has only won one match tonight, that doesn’t seem right, now does it? I apologize to those who have already lost tonight but for the Tournament title, the match will be Xavier Reckless and his brother, Kade Codeine, versus Kelly Taylor and Zachary Inc. The person who scores the pinfall or submission will be named the Tournament winner. Now, Reckless, for interfering in this event, which you weren’t booked for I might add, if you’re pinned by either Inc. or Taylor, not only do they become the Tournament champion, but they also become the NEW King of New York Champion as well. You got that Stones? Make this worth the audiences time gentlemen.”

And with that, I exit the ring. Felt very empowering. I may need to make myself more of a fixture in the show…Anyways…

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=XavierReckless.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/XavierReckless.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> & <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=XavierReckless-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/XavierReckless-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Kade"></a> vs.<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ZacharyInc.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ZacharyInc.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> & <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=m017.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/m017.jpg" border="0" alt="Kelly Taylor"></a>

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ffllqorg.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ffllqorg.jpg" border="0" alt="Old Man Rivers Memorial Tournament Trophy"></a>

Kade Codeine had no business being in a match with people of this caliber and it showed early as he ate a Credit Crunch from Inc. almost immediately. That meant Reckless had to work double as he took on his two adversaries, sans partner. Inc. and Taylor worked surprisingly well together and kept Reckless thoroughly restless throughout the match. With Codeine finally regaining his senses, Taylor nailed him with a Angel’s Grace before tagging in Inc. again. With Reckless exhausted, Inc. nailed the Credit Crunch and went for the pinfall. But again, Kelly Taylor was there and sent Inc. through the ropes to the outside. He stared down at the fallen Reckless and pushed him out of the ring as well. He found Kade Codeine and covered him for the pinfall, becoming the second winner of the Old Man Rivers Memorial Tournament.

Kelly Taylor defeats Kade Codeine to win the Old Man Rivers Memorial Tournament.

The lights went out and a single light shone down on Kelly Taylor, as he hoisted his book over his head instead of his newly won trophy.

I decided you are getting them anyway.

Amazing Fire Fly waves me down right as the show starts to begin.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=AmazingFireFly.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/AmazingFireFly.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

“Señor, le pedimos respetuosamente a un partido más entre los dos de nosotros. Y sabemos acerca de los problemas de límite de tiempo que hemos tenido por lo que sugerimos un partido de ninguno de nosotros estamos familiarizados con: una jaula de acuerdo con tal.”

“I’ve boned up on my Spanish some and I take it you two want another match?”

“Si, Señor.”

“Well, I’ll do you one better. It will be a ladder match, I feel like that suits both of your skill sets, and to top it all off, the winner will be crowned the new Harlem Wrestling Alliance Queens Bridge champion.”

“Nos sentimos honrados de que usted elija el dos de nosotros para este honor, el Señor Preston.”

Irwin Gutmann makes his debut in the Harlem Wrestling Alliance and like most new arrivals, faces a tough opponent in Leon ‘Giant’ Brody to start the show, wrestling-wise.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=GiantBrody-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/GiantBrody-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Brody"></a>

Gutmann stands no chance and Brody finishes him off with a one-handed choke bomb two minutes into the match.

Leon ‘Giant’ Brody defeats Irwin Gutmann via pinfall.

Following the win, Brody lifts Gutmann up and delivers another choke bomb. He starts a third one when Fearless Blue runs down and throws his body into the unsuspecting Brody, knocking him over the top rope.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=FearlessBlue-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/FearlessBlue-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Blue"></a>

As Brody climbs into the ring to get revenge, Blue drags Gutmann out and hightails it to the back as fast as a three legged man can.

In the back, Bradley Blaze and Marshall Dillon hype their upcoming tag match with Amish Aero.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=BradleyBlaze.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/BradleyBlaze.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> & <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=MarshallDillon.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/MarshallDillon.jpg" border="0" alt="Marshall Dillon"></a>

“That Jebediah boy is all hat and no cattle. Now Marshall here is all bowed up from his favorite Stetson being ruffled last month. Now ya’ll in for a treat as he’s fix’in to smash ya’ll up. You don’t mess wit Team Texas.”

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=BradleyBlaze.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/BradleyBlaze.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> & <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=MarshallDillon.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/MarshallDillon.jpg" border="0" alt="Marshall Dillon"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=Jebediah-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/Jebediah-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Jebediah"></a> & <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=DaredevilAeroalt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/DaredevilAeroalt.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Daredevil Aero couldn’t keep up with the brawling of Blaze or the strength of Marshall and that kept Jebediah doing most of the work. As Jebediah wore down, the two Texans dispatched him to the floor with a double clothesline before making short work of the overmatched Aero.

Team Texas defeats Amish Aero via pinfall.

A debuting Mike Simmons takes on Pyromaniac in the next match.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=m004alt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/m004alt.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=Pyromaniac.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/Pyromaniac.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Simmons, making his first professional match in his life, smartly avoids getting in too close to Pyromaniac and keeps his attacks short and precise. What we see from the new guy is that he does everything well but doesn’t really master anything. It’s a decent match and since the crowd hates Pyromaniac, they quickly get behind Simmons. He puts away Pyromaniac with a top rope superplex to collect his first official win.

Mike Simmons defeats Pyromaniac via pinfall.

His victory is short-lived though as Extreme Deluxe runs into the ring and assaults the rookie.

After a vicious beating, Deluxe nails a Deluxe Driver II on Simmons and leaves him lying. Deluxe stares down at the man with disgust as he slips out of the ring and into the back.

Kade Codeine vs. The Pilgrim vs. Thomas Morgan vs. Nigel Svensson

The four men were told that the winner may get a title shot against the newly minted Queens Bridge championship. Keyword being: May.

Thomas Morgan had Kade Codeine locked in the STF, unbeknownst to him that Nigel had the Pilgrim in the Hyperextended Elbow Lock at the same time. As R.M. Stones called for the bell, Morgan leaped for joy at finally getting a chance to make something of himself in the HWA. That all came crashing down as Stones hoisted Nigel’s arm in the air as The Pilgrim was the one who had tapped out, not Kade Codeine.

Nigel Svensson defeats The Pilgrim via submission.

Morgan stomped the mat several times and seemed to be throwing a fit as he exited the ring.

Xavier Reckless and Kelly Taylor are in the ring as Zachary Inc. comes out last, microphone in hand.

“You do have swagger Reckless, I give you that. But it’s that exorcism swag cause I’m gonna smack your head so hard it’ll spin around. And you may have ****ed my moms but she said the myth about black guys aint true.

And Kelly Taylor, if you screw me over again for a title, you’ll be screaming to your Lord and Savior more than a Tijuana prostitute getting a train rain on her.”

Inc. drops the mic and slides into the ring where R.M. Stones shows the entrants what prize is on the line.

Kelly Taylor vs. Xavier Reckless vs. Zachary Inc.

Another three way dance between the three men. Another no contest as the men never made it to the ring. Zachary Inc. delivered a Credit Crunch on Reckless as he finished his promo, right onto the gym floor and Taylor came out to protect Reckless. Codeine ran out to protect his brother and ended up brawling with Taylor and Inc. Inc. focused on Codeine before dispatching him with a Credit Crunch. He turned back to Taylor and Reckless, but they were both gone…

Journal Entry #8

I'm sure this has leaked to the wrestling press already, but I had to fire Irwin Gutmann. I've never fired anyone. But he came in a day before the event and we scheduled him for a quick squash against Brody. He had no problem doing that.

Then the day of the event happened.

In the span of maybe fifteen minutes, he got in a verbal argument with Lee Bambino. Let me add 'HWA Owner Lee Bambino' so future generations understand the severity of this altercation. Most people know vaguely of the story between Super Sonic and Lee and how Lee made sure Sonic would no longer be a part of the HWA as long as he was around.

Anyways...several short minutes after that was broken up, Gutmann was in a fist fight with Xavier Reckless. I don't know who started it. I know Reckless has issues with...recreationals...and all signs point to him, but on your first day of employment you do not pick fights with BOTH owners of the company. There was no reason to keep someone around like that and although I was worried he would fight me after the fact, Irwin was at least professional with his dismissal.

He agreed to the burial against Brody and the high risk beatdown angle to make Brody look like a monster. On the business side of things, the guy's alright. On the personal side, he needs some maturing.

The guys backstage though, they seemed to side with me and a few said that with acts like that, they say I can depend on them. I don't quite know what that means, but it has to be a good thing.

[Deluxe]: “I’m sick and tired of these new bloods getting all the attention. I carried this company on my back the first year and what do I have to show for it? Jobbing out to the champ whenever he needs a worthy competitor. Why do you keep bringing in the Blaze’s, the Dillon’s, the Simmons’, and the Swede’s when real talent is right here?”

[Simmons]: “Hey man, I’m not trying to take anyone’s position. I’m just here to do a job, get some experience, and get paid. I’ll stay out of your way.”

[Deluxe]: “You got in my way once you signed a damn contract.”

[Simmons]: “Look. Let’s settle this in the ring alright. I want to get paid, you want to get paid and the only way to do that is to wrestle. Deal?”

[Deluxe]: “I’ll see you next month punk.”

Jebediah takes on his adversaries tag team partner, Marshall Dillon, this month.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=MarshallDillon.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/MarshallDillon.jpg" border="0" alt="Marshall Dillon"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=Jebediah-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/Jebediah-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Jebediah"></a>

The two men tore into one another from the opening bell, but it was a run-in from Bradley Blaze that distracted Jebediah long enough for Dillon to nail the Crackdown.

Marshall Dillon defeats Jebediah via pinfall.

Daredevil Aero runs down to save his friend and gets beaten down by Team Texas. Jebediah regains his senses and him and Marshall brawl into the back, leaving Blaze and Aero in the ring. R.M. Stones slides back into the ring and calls for the bell as we have ourselves a match.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=BradleyBlaze.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/BradleyBlaze.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=DaredevilAeroalt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/DaredevilAeroalt.jpg" border="0" alt="Daredevil Aero"></a>

Sadly though, Aero doesn’t have the body type to recover quickly from a two on one beating and seems sluggish as Blaze makes quick work of the HWA veteran. A Dallas Drop ends the match rather quickly in favor of Bradley Blaze.

Bradley Blaze defeats Daredevil Aero via pinfall.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=FearlessBlue-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/FearlessBlue-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Blue"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ThePilgrim.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ThePilgrim.jpg" border="0" alt="The Pilgrim"></a>

Fearless Blue was coming out for his match against The Pilgrim when Leon ‘Giant’ Brody ambushed Blue from behind.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=GiantBrody-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/GiantBrody-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Brody"></a>

Brody choke bombed him on the gym floor, effectively ending his night.

“Does anyone in the back want to step up in place of Fearless Blue?”

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ThomasMorgan.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ThomasMorgan.jpg" border="0" alt="Thomas Morgan"></a>

Thomas Morgan came bolting out of the back and into the ring where The Pilgrim started firing off rights and lefts.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ThomasMorgan.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ThomasMorgan.jpg" border="0" alt="Thomas Morgan"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ThePilgrim.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ThePilgrim.jpg" border="0" alt="The Pilgrim"></a>

Morgan quickly used his mat expertise to gain favor over The Pilgrim and the affair became more even. It was déjà vu for Morgan though as he locked in the STF and The Pilgrim crawled to the ropes. Anger overwhelmed the usually calm Morgan and he wouldn’t relinquish the hold, knocking The Pilgrim unconscious and losing the match in the process.

The Pilgrim defeats Thomas Morgan via disqualification.

Morgan rears back on the STF before Lee Bambino, myself, and the ref, are able to pry him off and separate the two men.

In the back, Xavier Reckless and Kelly Taylor are seen circling one another as they speak their minds.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=XavierReckless.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/XavierReckless.jpg" border="0" alt="Xavier Reckless"></a> <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=m017.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/m017.jpg" border="0" alt="Kelly Taylor"></a>

[Reckless]: “This ain’t a just thug vs. a preacher; it’s a pitbull versus a pug. If we had guns, yours would click and go dud while mine would go click and sprout a slug. This’ll be a lion vs. a sacrificial lamb. You got Toto, complete with a colla’, vs. the beast Cujo. It’s a carebear vs. a Grizzly bear. And lastly, a Messiah versus a man.”

[Taylor]: “My child, He has bequeathed many prodigious effects onto myself however the designation of Messiah is not one of them.”

[Reckless]: “B*tch, you say that like I be talkin’ bout you. I’m the Messiah. I know why He sent you fo’ me. It’s cause I’m the heir to his chair baby.”

[Taylor]: “I don’t quite follow your lucidity…”

[Reckless]: “Dawg, what I be sayin’ is that I am G.O.D.”

[Taylor]: “I’m repentant to disillusion you, my child. Even though we are all extraordinary in our particular ways, no one is on an equivalent plane with the ever almighty.”

Kelly Taylor turns his back to Xavier Reckless and closes his eyes as he speaks.

[Taylor]: “When He does return, he will reveal His plan to His dedicate followers first to prepare the world for His coming.”

[Reckless]: “Guess you ain’t as in touch as you ‘pose to be Kelly. I’m am G.O.D. I’m a Grappler On Drugs!”

Xavier Reckless beats his chest before walking away.

[Taylor]: “Ha..haha…ahahaha…hahahahaha”

The evil cackling from Taylor resonates throughout the backstage area.

“Ladies and Gentlemen, the following match-up will decide the inaugural Harlem Wrestling Alliance Queens Bridge Champion. If you look above me, dangling in the air above me is the newly minted championship belt. The first man to retrieve the title will be crowned champion.

Introducing first, to my right, hailing all the way from south of the border Mexico, the Amazing Fire Fly!

*Crowd cheers fervently for the man they can’t understand*

And to my left, hailing from Toronto, Canada, Kamikaze Christian Vars!”

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=KamikazeChristianVars.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/KamikazeChristianVars.jpg" border="0" alt="Kamikaze Christian Vars"></a>

*Crowd cheers slightly less for the Canadian*

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=AmazingFireFly.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/AmazingFireFly.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=KamikazeChristianVars.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/KamikazeChristianVars.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=unnamedt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/unnamedt.jpg" border="0" alt="Queens Bridge Championship"></a>

This was as good as their recent outings, if not better due to the inclusion of the ladder. Vars was much more in his element with the ladder match setting than Fire Fly was and it showed as Vars pulled out all the stops. These two men may be friends and they may respect one another, but neither wanted to leave here tonight with a loss. Vars’ namesake got the best of him several times, as instead of taking a safe risk, or no risk at all, he went all or nothing and more times than not, came up with nothing. After a crash and burn, Fire Fly climbed the ladder toward the gold but Vars was quick to respond, leaping from the ring ropes onto the ladder in an impressive display of athleticism. It looked like it sapped him of his energy though as Fire Fly leap frogged the top of the ladder, landed on Vars’ shoulders, than twisted him around and hit a modified hurricarana off the top of the ladder. The momentum carried Vars out of the ring, and Fire Fly slowly crept up the ladder and unstrapped the belt for the dramatic finish.

Amazing Fire Fly defeats Kamikaze Christian Vars in a ladder match to become the inaugural HWA Queens Bridge Champion.

Journal Entry #9

Our first worker was poached. It wasn't much of a surprise. I knew that a few companies had been looking to hire him and whoever did end up hiring him would do so in a way that we'd have to bring someone else in.

Luckily, I've kept a few guys numbers saved and I think I've already got a replacement.

I know Lee wants us to "go to war" with the bigger companies and hopefully one day we will. But I can't fault this man. He's not a rookie. And to be called on by the big leagues was an opportunity that he could not pass up. Couldn't happen to a better guy. I'll miss having the man around but this is a business and we'll get by.

So R.M. Stones, good luck with your tenure in Total Championship Wrestling.
