Is this dead? :(

NOOOOOOOOOPE!

Sorry, coaching started this week and two-a-days have consumed my life. Also had a family emergency but likely it was only a scare. Next show will probably be up this weekend. There is plenty more HWA to come.

HWA Valley of Chrome

The Weston Gymnasium

Attendance: 104

*All matches contested under hardcore rules unless stated otherwise*

As soon as the cameras turn on, footage is streamed of Fearless Blue and Leon ‘Giant’ Brody throwing their bodies at one another.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=FearlessBlue-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/FearlessBlue-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Blue"></a> <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=GiantBrody-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/GiantBrody-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Brody"></a>

Other wrestlers and workers are seen getting out of the way as the two brawl throughout the school. With it all happening so fast, cameramen aren’t able to follow them as they take the fight outside…

Amazing Fire Fly walks down to the ring wearing his newly crowned championship and panders to the crowd, who absolutely adore the Mexican Luchador. His opponent for tonight is Daredevil Aero, the former XDW mainstay. Fire Fly, a huge proponent of respect, extends his hand to Aero and Aero graciously returns the handshake. The two men back into a respective corner and Bret Graveson calls for the bell.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=AmazingFireFly.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/AmazingFireFly.jpg" border="0" alt="Amazing Fire Fly"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=DaredevilAeroalt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/DaredevilAeroalt.jpg" border="0" alt="Daredevil Aero"></a>

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=unnamedt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/unnamedt.jpg" border="0" alt="Queens Bridge Championship"></a>

A nice, swift encounter between the two men as they feel each other out. After only a few moments, it’s quite clear that Fire Fly is reasonably a cut above Aero and once that set in, Fire Fly dazzled the crowd with his Sky High Fire Fly finisher to make the first defense of his Queens Bridge Championship.

Amazing Fire Fly defeats Daredevil Aero to retain the HWA Queens Bridge Championship.

As Fire Fly circles the ring, high fiving those in the front row, Marshall Dillon sprints down right past Fire Fly and lays into Daredevil Aero.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=MarshallDillon.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/MarshallDillon.jpg" border="0" alt="Marshall Dillon"></a>

Bradley Blaze is quick to follow and after Aero has been softened up, delivers a Dallas Drop to the downed Aero.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=BradleyBlaze.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/BradleyBlaze.jpg" border="0" alt="Bradley Blaze"></a>

Marshall grabs a mic and hands it off to Blaze.

“Jebediah. Arrow. Team Texas is gonna beat you like a red headed step child next month. Yous about as lucky asa blind man walkin’ cross the street. You may be big as all hell and half o’ the great state o’ Texas, but we will whip you like we own you.”

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=Jebediah-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/Jebediah-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Jebediah"></a>

Jebediah walks with a purpose down to the ring and doesn’t hesitate climbing inside, even though there is a two to one advantage.

“If brains were dynamite boy, you wouldn’t have enough to blow yer nose. Steppin’ in the ring with us two.”

Before Blaze can continue with anymore Texan colloquialisms, Jebediah blasts the smug Dillon so hard with a clubbed right fist that it sends him over the top rope and out of the ring.

The two men remaining stand in the ring and Blaze stares skyward as he gives up several inches to the larger than life Jebediah. Their breathing becomes more labored as their eyes never leave one another’s face. A trickle of sweat rolls down the brow of Blaze before the inevitable happens. The two start trading blows. Eventually Jebediah gets the upperhand and sends Blaze crashing to the mat. As Blaze is stunned, Jebediah goes for the Sundown Splash but finds nothing but air, as Dillon pulled his partner out of the ring just in time and the two walk back to where they came.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=m004alt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/m004alt.jpg" border="0" alt="Mike Simmons"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ZacharyInc.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ZacharyInc.jpg" border="0" alt="Zachary Inc."></a>

A quick squash as the more dominant Inc. easily handles the rookie Simmons.

Zachary Inc. defeats Mike Simmons.

Kelly Taylor. Xavier Reckless. The King of New York Championship is on the line, but it’s not the focal point of tonight’s contest. No one knows what to expect. Taylor, whom everyone expected to be fuming as Xavier took the His name in vain and pronounced himself G.O.D, surprisingly laughed it off.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=XavierReckless.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/XavierReckless.jpg" border="0" alt="Xavier Reckless"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=m017.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/m017.jpg" border="0" alt="Kelly Taylor"></a>

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=GenericKingofNY.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/GenericKingofNY.jpg" border="0" alt="King of New York Championship"></a>

Cold. Calculating. That’s the way Kelly Taylor is in the ring. Xavier tried to fight by the mantra of his last name but Taylor was ready for that every time. Any offense the champ got in was fleeting. To some, it looked like Taylor may have been toying with the champ. Waiting for him to rise to his feet before knocking him back down again. But Taylor isn’t a man to play around. He was punishing Reckless. He was dismantling the champ piece by piece. Without any use of weaponry, Xavier started bleeding from an opening on his head, suffered from the vicious strikes from the possessed Taylor.

Taylor would lift Reckless to his feet, just to blast him again. Everyone in attendance waited for the part of the match where the babyface became superman and fought back against insurmountable odds…yet it never came.

Taylor unveiled a new weapon in his arsenal as he locked on his CROSSface submission move. Reckless was too tired to tap out. Bret Graveson would raise his arm…

The first time Graveson let go, it fell limply to the champs side…

The second time, it fell like an apple out of a tree…

The third time…Taylor relinquished the hold and had Graveson start all over again.

Graveson took offense to this and started berating the challenger, telling him to end the match or he’ll end it for him. Taylor just laughed as he stood inches from the official. The staredown was so intense that for once, Taylor wasn’t aware of his surroundings. He was blasted from behind and crashed into the mat. A boot rained down on his head over and over again. Graveson turned a blind eye as Taylor was viciously assaulted by Zachary Inc.

When Graveson finally turned around, Inc. stood tall as both competitors were down and out. Graveson counted to ten and rang the bell as the two men couldn’t answer the call.

Kelly Taylor and Xavier Reckless fight to a draw. Inc. interferes.

Inc. fetched a microphone and stared at Taylor…

“You’re not taking what is rightfully mine.”

And then to Xavier…

“Next time, you won’t be so lucky…”

Inc. slams the microphone down onto Xavier’s chest and he coughs up a spittle of blood. As Inc. leaves the ring, I stand tall at the entranceway.

“This has got to stop! Next month, the three of you will be in one final match with each other. After that, no more. Find someone else to pick on. Inc, since you may be the only one able to hear me, pass this onto the others, next month there will be a winner. Next month the three of you will be involved in a triple threat No Holds Barred/No Disqualification Falls Count Anywhere match. If you want to beat the hell outta each other, fine, so be it. But if it’s going to happen, it’s going to be sanctioned. No more sneak attacks. No more ambushes. No more draws. If you’re going to kill one another, it’ll happen next month, here, in that very ring.”

Inc. creeps a small grin as the cameras fade to black…

HWA Welcome to the Terrordome

The Weston Gymnasium

Attendance: 123

*All matches contested under hardcore rules unless stated otherwise*

In the back, Thomas Morgan is seen talking with some of the ring crew and trading war stories.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ThomasMorgan.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ThomasMorgan.jpg" border="0" alt="Thomas Morgan"></a>

Leon ‘Giant’ Brody takes offense to this for some reason.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=GiantBrody-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/GiantBrody-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Brody"></a>

He smashes Morgan into the wall and then choke bombs him through a coffee table.

In the ring, Amazing Fire Fly addresses the crowd:

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=AmazingFireFly.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/AmazingFireFly.jpg" border="0" alt="Amazing Fire Fly"></a>

“Yo soy un hombre de honor y respeto. Me gustaría abrir un reto a cualquier hombre en la espalda que le gustaría la oportunidad de enfrentarme a mi campeonato. Por favor, si usted viene a través de esa cortina, traer su juego.”

One or two people in the crowd understand what he just said but they don’t care, they cheer wildly at every rolled r.

The Pilgrim emerges from the back and climbs into the ring. He seems giddy with excitement.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ThePilgrim.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ThePilgrim.jpg" border="0" alt="The Pilgrim"></a>

He shakes Fire Fly’s hand and the two men get underway.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=AmazingFireFly.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/AmazingFireFly.jpg" border="0" alt="Amazing Fire Fly"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ThePilgrim.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ThePilgrim.jpg" border="0" alt="The Pilgrim"></a>

A short match displayed the coming greatness of the Mexican Luchador, as he easily handled the robust Pilgrim and made his second defense of his title.

Amazing Fire Fly defeats The Pilgrim.

Kelly Taylor speaks to the stationary camera:

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=m017.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/m017.jpg" border="0" alt="Kelly Taylor"></a>

“Grappler. On. Drugs. That is quaint. He recognizes your talent Reckless. That is why He chose you. But He selected myself as well. And this morning, He communicated with me. He appeared right afore my eyes and dictated unerringly what He desires accomplished. I sat in stillness pending His conclusion. I know better than to interpose Him. He has given us a gift Xavier! And before long my child, all…will be…revealed…”

In the ring, the hulking cowboy Marshall Dillon squares off with HWA Original Daredevil Aero.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=MarshallDillon.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/MarshallDillon.jpg" border="0" alt="Marshall Dillon"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=DaredevilAeroalt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/DaredevilAeroalt.jpg" border="0" alt="Daredevil Aero"></a>

A short match as Aero is really no match for heavier Dillon.

Marshall Dillon defeats Daredevil Aero via pinfall.

Zachary Inc. speaks to the stationary camera:

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ZacharyInc.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ZacharyInc.jpg" border="0" alt="Zachary Inc."></a>

“I’m the man these people here want to see. I’m the man they want to walk out of here with that belt you hold so securely around your waist. I could care less about that holy war you’re battling with Kelly. I’ll let you two beat the f*cking p*ss out of each other. As long as I get mine. I swear Taylor, you f*ck me over again tonight and I will be waiting in your home, armed, Detroit style. I'm going to leave you both 'Lion' on the floor like a Detroit helmet.”

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=GiantBrody-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/GiantBrody-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Brody"></a>

Leon ‘Giant’ Brody is seen looking for his next victim in the back and Bret Graveson looks to be the target.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=BretGraveson.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/BretGraveson.jpg" border="0" alt="Bret Graveson"></a>

Before he can start his assault, Fearless Blue jumps him from behind with a chair.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=FearlessBlue-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/FearlessBlue-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Blue"></a>

He wails on the colossal menace until he’s fallen on the floor. For the first time, someone has gotten the best of the Giant.

The other half of the Amish Aero and Team Texas square off as Jebediah and Bradley Blaze meet in the ring.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=Jebediah-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/Jebediah-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Jebediah"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=BradleyBlaze.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/BradleyBlaze.jpg" border="0" alt="Bradley Blaze"></a>

Jebediah is slowly learning how to use his massive size to his advantage and is in control for the duration of the match. Sensing his partners trouble, Marshall Dillon rushes the ring to help his teammate. Daredevil Aero quickly joins the fray and Bret Graveson is quick to throw out the match as he stands no chance of controlling such chaos.

Jebediah and Bradley Blaze fight to a draw.

Xavier Reckless speaks to the stationary camera:

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=XavierReckless.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/XavierReckless.jpg" border="0" alt="Xavier Reckless"></a>

“You talkin’ all dat gangsta sh*t but we both kno’ you too scured to use a weapon Inc. But test me, I’ll pull mine out n bust like I don’t use protection. And Taylor, I admit, you had the upper hand on me but you failed to put me outta my misery and dat’s gonna bite you in the ass.”

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=XavierReckless-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/XavierReckless-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Kade"></a> & <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ExtremeDeluxe.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ExtremeDeluxe.jpg" border="0" alt="Extreme Deluxe"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=m004alt.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/m004alt.jpg" border="0" alt="Mike Simmons"></a> & <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=NigelSvensson.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/NigelSvensson.jpg" border="0" alt="Nigel"></a>

The team of Simmons and Svensson was much better wrestling wise, but Deluxe knew how to level the playing field to stay competitive. While Deluxe would poke the eyes and use the ropes behind the referees back, Codeine blatantly nailed Simmons with a kick to the groin in front of Graveson. Deluxe used that opportunity to put the rookie in his place and Kade Codeine continues his unwarranted push as he gets a pin on Simmons following a Deluxe Driver II.

Extreme Deluxe and Kade Codeine defeat Mike Simmons and Nigel Svensson.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=m017.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/m017.jpg" border="0" alt="Kelly Taylor"></a>

It has been almost a full year since Kelly Taylor went on a mission to ‘save’ Xavier Reckless. His devout diatribes were almost a monthly occurrence. Last month, he beat the life out of Reckless. It was the most thorough domination of any competitor in HWA’s history. The championship isn’t his primary focus. It’s ‘helping’ Xavier Reckless. Since embracing this new found light, no one has come close to putting Taylor down for three seconds. What does Taylor have in store for Reckless tonight?

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ZacharyInc.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ZacharyInc.jpg" border="0" alt="Zachary Inc."></a>

Zachary Inc. is primed to move onto bigger and better things than the HWA. But he knows that to be truly noticed, you have to be the top dog in the company, and to be the top dog you need to be able to call yourself the King…of New York. Every time he came close, Kelly Taylor foiled his attempt at capturing the gold. Will tonight be the night he realizes his dream?

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=XavierReckless.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/XavierReckless.jpg" border="0" alt="Xavier Reckless"></a>

Xavier Reckless, the only champion the Harlem Wrestling Alliance has ever known. What kind of shape is he in? Not just physically either. How’s his mental state? His psyche? Kelly Taylor has been trying to devour his mind, body, and soul for over a year while Zachary Inc. has been targeting his top spot in the company. Does he have anything left for tonight?

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=XavierReckless.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/XavierReckless.jpg" border="0" alt="Xavier Reckless"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=m017.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/m017.jpg" border="0" alt="Kelly Taylor"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ZacharyInc.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ZacharyInc.jpg" border="0" alt="Zachary Inc."></a>

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=GenericKingofNY.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/GenericKingofNY.jpg" border="0" alt="King of New York Championship"></a>

Inc. was true to his word. As Reckless jumped on Taylor, Inc. slid out of the ring and let the two beat on one another. It was a slugfest as the two men exchanged rights and lefts after the opening bell. Reckless gained the advantage and backed Taylor into a corner, where he proceeded to stomp a hole right in Taylor’s chest. Inc. rolled in the ring and caught Reckless by surprise with a Credit Crunch.

“Holy sh*t! We’re going to have a new champion!”

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=HoneyGolightly_alt3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/HoneyGolightly_alt3.jpg" border="0" alt="Honey Golightly"></a>

“As long as it’s not Taylor, I don’t care.”

Inc. went for the cover and Graveson slid into position.

One…

Two…

And Reckless kicks out! Inc. is in disbelief and gets to putting the boots to the downed Reckless. With all his attention focused on the champion, he never saw Taylor charge from the corner. The clothesline nearly decapitated Inc. as he was turned inside out.

“That may have been the most vicious clothesline in the history of wrestling!”

Inc. is down and out as Kelly turns his attention to Reckless. In a repeat of their last encounter, Taylor decimates Reckless. Hard kicks to the stomach. Strong chops across the chest. Vicious rights across the brow.

The right hands open Reckless up and a crimson mask covers his face as it looks as if he has no idea where his is. As Reckless is on his knees with Taylor raining rights down, he mounts a counter with a low blow to his standing opponent. As Reckless makes his way to his feet, Taylor recovers and nails an Angel’s Grace on the champ.

He kneels down as Graveson goes for the count and Taylor lifts Reckless to his feet. Another Angel’s Grace is hit.

Zachary Inc. sits in the corner, watching this all unfold. After the second Angel’s Grace, Taylor rolls out of the ring to grab the title. Inc. sensing his opportunity, goes for the cover. Taylor shoots him a devil’s glare and speaks:

“Do not interfere in His will!”

Inc. hovers over Reckless, stunned. He slowly slinks back to the corner…

Taylor rolls back into the ring and taunts Reckless with the title belt before laying it next to his fallen head. He lifts Reckless and drops him one more time with an Angel’s Grace.

Taylor turns to Inc. and speaks:

“Collect your pittance weakling.”

Inc. unsure of what is occurring, slowly slinks over to the lifeless and bloody Reckless and makes the cover. Taylor is seen exiting to the back, not even looking back as Graveson makes the cover.

One…

Two…

Three…

Zachary Inc. defeats Xavier Reckless and Kelly Taylor to become the NEW HWA King of New York Champion.

Journal Entry #10

Two years ago, this is one of the last places I would have pictured myself. I figure wrestling booker was close to Alaskan crab fisherman and submissive male porn star on my list of future career choices. But I’ve been doing this for two years. Wow.

I started watching the old footage of the HWA. Not the Mr. G kind, but Bambino’s version. We’ve come a long way in two years. Our crowds have increased tenfold. We’ve made an incredible profit. The next step is to sell out our arena and put the HWA back in New York.

But that’s in the future. I want to take this time to reflect and see where we’ve come from. I wish I would have kept better records of this stuff, and I intend to in the future, but for now these shoddy lists will have to make due.

The top five attendances of the HWA’s first two years:

HWA Welcome to the Terrordome: 123 paid

HWA Through the Wire: 111 paid

HWA Valley of Chrome: 104 paid

HWA Old Man Rivers Memorial Tournament: 68 paid

HWA New York State of Mind: 66 paid

This is acceptable for Lee so it’s fine by me. We’ve increased our attendance with each month. We may start selling out this year…

The top five most acclaimed shows of the HWA’s first two years:

HWA Through the Wire

HWA Red Nation

HWA New York State of Mind

HWA Welcome to the Terrordome

HWA H*A*M

This came to be from fan feedback, Twitter, and the amount of traffic that the webstream picked up. I wish they were in rising order like the attendances, but I’m new to this so the booking can be a tad…off. That should improve. Luckily, all of these events were from this past year so I must be doing something right.

The top five highest rated matches of the HWA’s first two years:

Zachary Inc. defeats Nigel Svensson (Old Man Rivers Memorial Tournament)

Zachary Inc. defeats Nigel Svensson (Greatest Story Never Told)

Kelly Taylor defeats Amazing Fire Fly (Old Man Rivers Memorial Tournament)

Kamikaze Christian Vars defeats Amazing Fire Fly (Greatest Story Never Told)

*Tied* Bradley Blaze defeats Daredevil Aero (Through the Wire)

*Tied* Kamikaze Christian Vars drew with Amazing Fire Fly (H*A*M)

*Tied* Amazing Fire Fly drew with Kamikaze Christian Vars (New York State of Mind)

Firstly, I have no idea how to grade a match. I think Fire Fly’s flips are neat and I enjoy Brody being menacing, but that wouldn’t be a five star classic, at least I don’t think it would be…Anyways, in figuring this out, I had to consult someone. So the top five matches were actually chosen by the HWA’s own, Thomas Morgan. He’s travelled and is an experienced wrestler so I value his opinion over mind when it comes to this stuff.

I think we’re onto something. Let’s hope I’m as optimistic in 365 days.

Seacrest Out.

The Weston Gymnasium

Attendance: 68

Kelly Taylor makes his way to the ring, wearing a heavily hooded robe that clouds his face and most of his body.

[Taylor]: “I communicated that He has a plan for you. He desired you to keep the championship. He wanted you to keep up the lifestyle you were breathing. And then, it happened. You embraced it. G.O.D. You are a Grappler On Drugs. And now that you have encompassed your role, He has decided to educate you as to His going ons.”

Xavier Reckless appears from behind the curtain.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=XavierReckless.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/XavierReckless.jpg" border="0" alt="Xavier Reckless"></a>

[Reckless]: “Yo…I said YO! Now listen to me. You can call yourself a man o’ higha power and a disciple of Jesus or God, but no one here is believin’ that sh*t dawg. Look at the beatin’s you dish out. What are ya gonna say? ‘My God’s a vengeful God?’ Yous a piece of sh*t dawg.”

[Taylor]: “Jesus Christ? God? You have yet to cognize, have you my child?”

[Reckless]: “Hey dawg, real recognize real. I’ve seen yo getup. Look at youself now. Yous in some Bishop robes. Looks like you finally went on a shoppin' spree Kelly. You tryin' be a boss? Throw some cash around? It don't count when the spree is at the dolla store.”

[Taylor]: “My child. God didn’t send me. Nor did his child Jesus. They did send you though. For you see, I am a higher power. I am the ultimate power. I am Beelzebub, the voice of the Angel of the bottomless pit."

Taylor removes his hood and displays his new look.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=11619.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/11619.jpg" border="0" alt="Kelly Taylor Alt."></a>

[Taylor]: "I am here to save you from your own piety Reckless. That championship was the only thing keeping you together. Soon you will stumble and fall worse than before. Your cravings will increase. You won't be able to resist the urges. You call yourself G.O.D? Well Xavier, I agree with you because only Rednecks, Racists, and Pedophiles believe in you."

The lights go out in the gymnasium for a few seconds and when they return, Taylor is nowhere to be seen.

[Reckless]: "...sh*t..."

The rivalry between Bradley Blaze and Jebediah is set to come to an end tonight, as both men are facing off inside a steel structure where there is no escape. The non-participating members of Team Texas and Amish Aero won’t be able to interfere either, thus leaving this brutal confrontation between the two men.

The cage is covering the ring as Jebediah and Bradley Blaze stare one another down from inside the squared circle.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=BradleyBlaze.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/BradleyBlaze.jpg" border="0" alt="Bradley Blaze"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=Jebediah-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/Jebediah-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Jebediah"></a>

Those expecting a technical masterpiece a la Nigel Svensson or a high flying affair a la Amazing Fire Fly were sorely disappointed. Those expecting a bloody brawl where each man’s skull was scraped across the mesh of the cage? They were in heaven. The two men teed off on one another and used the environment as their weapon. Even though Jebediah was a veteran of the cage match in the HWA, Blaze was not hesitant in using his surroundings. At one point, Jebediah’s beard was caught in the mesh and it allowed Blaze almost two minutes of beating a defenseless Jebediah. Once freed, Jeb was all business as he flew around the ring and crashed into the smaller Blaze. After bouncing Blaze off the cage, Jeb went to escape the cage. As he climbed over the top, he started to have a second thought. He climbed back to the top and looked down on his opponent.

The crowd climbed to their feet as the big Amish man performed his Sunset Splash from the top of the cage. It was an awe inspiring sight as a 6’11’’, 300+ pound man flew through the air. But what goes up, most come down, and all the time it took for Jebediah to decide to perform such a feat allowed Blaze to recover and roll out of the way as the big man came crashing to the ground. Blaze showed remarkable strength in getting the Amish man to his feet and landing a Dallas Drop before escaping the cell structure.

Bradley Blaze defeats Jebediah via cage escape.

Amazing Fire Fly continues his open challenge as he steps into the ring. Extreme Deluxe answers the call and spears Fire Fly to start the match. No show of honor between these two.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=AmazingFireFly.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/AmazingFireFly.jpg" border="0" alt="Amazing Fire Fly"></a> vs. <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=ExtremeDeluxe.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/ExtremeDeluxe.jpg" border="0" alt="Extreme Deluxe"></a>

Fire Fly is just too quick, too fluid, too everything for Extreme Deluxe as he makes another defense of his HWA Queen’s Bridge Championship.

Amazing Fire Fly defeats Extreme Deluxe via pinfall.

Zachary Inc. makes the first defense of his newly won HWA King of New York Championship versus an old adversary, Thomas Morgan.

Morgan gave the champ more of a match than he expected but Inc. showed those in attendance how far he had come since he first stepped foot in an HWA ring as he was able to maintain himself against the Canadian. Following a Credit Crunch, Inc. made his first defense of his title.

Zachary Inc. defeats Thomas Morgan via pinfall.

Well I'm an idiot. I forgot we had become more popular over the course of the year and forgot to designate the events that I had previously booked as such. So the gymnasium was only prepared for less than half of what we should have had at the event. We had to turn people away due to seating arrangements not being available...

F*ck me...

HWA Children’s Story

The Weston Gymnasium

Attendance: 86

*All matches contested under hardcore rules unless stated otherwise*

Thomas Morgan stands in the ring, ready to take on Leon ‘Giant’ Brody.

Brody marches to the ring and shows off his menacing nature as he tears the turnbuckle padding off the corner ring post.

The match doesn’t last long as Brody is too big and strong for the Canadian veteran.

Leon ‘Giant’ Brody defeats Thomas Morgan.

In the back, Fearless Blue and Jebediah, an odd pairing, are conversing.

<a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=FearlessBlue-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/FearlessBlue-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Blue"></a> <a href="http://s1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/?action=view&current=Jebediah-1.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1049.photobucket.com/albums/s381/eextramustard31/Jebediah-1.jpg" border="0" alt="Jebediah"></a>

“I want to help. But I still need to finish things with Mr. Blaze. He said some really hurtful things about me…”

“Jebby, baby, bruh. You stand tall with the Giant and I’ll take care of your lil’ cowboy problem.”

“You really think I’m good enough?”

“You got this brother.”

Nigel Svensson walks to the ring to take on Ramon Jackson, a new signing for the HWA.

How do you go from generic rookie worker to someone with a future? You put on the greatest match in the history of the HWA with no build, no storyline, and no momentum. Nigel and Ramon looked like they had been wrestling one another for years. The short matchup that was designed just to showcase Nigel resulted in a standing ovation from those in attendance and may have solidified Jackson’s future with the company.

Nigel Svensson defeats Ramon Jackson.

“You! You want to challenge me!?”

“I…They asked…”

The two men stand chest to chest as the Giant actually has to stare upwards to meet Jebediah’s aloof gaze.

“You don’t stand a snowballs chance in hell Amish boy.”

“Hey hey. You two can settle this next month. Jebediah is needed in the ring.”

As Jebediah enters the ring, he meets up with his partner, Daredevil Aero, and his opponents for the night, Xavier Reckless and Kade Codeine.

The formula for this match was punch-kick-power move, punch-kick-high risk affair, or punch-kick-punch. The crowd enjoyed it though as these are workers they grew up with in the HWA. Seeing Reckless sans belt was unsettling for some but they quickly got over it. Reckless hit Aero with a Slingshot DDT and Codeine slide in to get the pinfall.

Brothers Reckless defeats Amish Aero.

Brothers Reckless celebrate in the ring as the lights flicker out. As they turn on, Codeine is seen laid out and Kelly Taylor is staring Reckless down in the ring. As Reckless realizes what’s happening, he hightails it out of the ring and to the back. The lights flicker and Taylor is nowhere to be seen.

Amazing Fire Fly sets out to make another defense of his championship, as Bradley Blaze accepts the open challenge this month.

Bradley Blaze is a future star of the wrestling industry, but Fire Fly is a clear cut above. Blaze gave a valiant effort but Fire Fly continues his recent roll and gains a pinfall following a Sky High Fire Fly.

Amazing Fire Fly defeats Bradley Blaze.

Kamikaze Christian Vars walks out from behind the curtain for the biggest match of his young career as he’s set to take on Zachary Inc. for the HWA King of New York Championship.

As he panders to the crowd, he never sees Inc. bum rush him and slam him into the steel steps outside of the ring. Inc. gains the upperhand by whipping Vars into the ring steps twice more before rolling him into the ring. Graveson, not pleased by Zach’s attack, reluctantly calls for the bell as the match begins.

Inc. scouts his prey as Vars fights to his feet. Inc. measures him for a Credit Crunch but Vars catches him off guard with a flailing kick. Sadly, Vars was just out of reach of Inc. and he falls helplessly to the mat. Inc. wastes no time in measuring Vars for the Credit Crunch and levels his opponent with it.

Zachary Inc. defeats Kamikaze Christian Vars.

Journal Entry #12

Really Lee? We have a storyline going with a decent following that can help elevate a younger talent and you refuse to renegotiate with one of the talents? This was the first time I actually got defensive with the boss over one of his decisions. Might as well get rid of Mike Simmons as well. He gave no reason as to why Deluxe wasn't coming back. It's not even like the Super Sonic incident where the two of them actually hated one another.

Deluxe wasn't the greatest talent, but he did everything asked of him and never complained. He established Reckless as a credible champion and was willing to help Simmons get over. He was just glad to wrestle and get a paycheck.

I'm not happy.
