TNA: The Future Is Ours

I'm going to start a diary game based on real-world TNA as it is today, starting the show after Destination X. I hope to get some readers this time around, as I am very excited about this game and some of the directions I plan to have it go in.

Storylines

Aries/Daniels/Styles

Aries is the reigning world heavyweight champion. Daniels attacked him after his first title defense, to send a message to the champion. Styles has put himself in the middle of this feud by coming to Aries' aid.

Ray/Angle/Parks

Bully Ray and Joseph Parks have been battling it out for months now. When Ray was set to end their feud-and Parks' career-Angle came to the lawyer's aid. Angle doesn't want to see Bully inflict a serious neck injury on Parks. Abyss has interjected himself recently, telling Angle to stay away from his brother.

Devon/Dinero

Devon is the former proud Television champion, who wants a rematch from the cocky new champion that only seems to be avoiding him.

Tara/Tessmacher

TnT has seemingly exploded as thara attacked Tessmacher after her title defense on iMPACT. Tara seems to have underestimated the champion, though, who has taken matters into her own hands by fighting back at the veteran knockout.

Roode/Storm

Once arguably TNA's greatest tag team, Roode and Storm have spent the better part of the past year trying to destroy each other. Now that Storm has cost Roode his world title rematch, Roode inflicted a major injury on Storm, taking him out of action for an indefinite amount of time. When and how will Storm get his revenge?

Hogan's mystery attacker

Hulk Hogan had a major announcement to make on Impact before he was attacked by a gigantic masked man. Who was the masked man, and what are his motivations?

What will happen in this history-making match? That and the fallout from Destination X to come on Thursday, Week 1 of July 2012!

From Battelle Hall in Columbus Ohio, we bring you iMPACT Wrestling, Live!

<a href="http://s1264.photobucket.com/albums/jj486/Andy_Staed/Roster/?action=view&current=Austin_Aries.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1264.photobucket.com/albums/jj486/Andy_Staed/Roster/Austin_Aries.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The show opens with the music of TNA’s new World champion, Austin Aries. The crowd goes crazy as the confident superstar comes out onto the ramp with the gold around his waist. He pauses to soak in the reaction, milking it for all it’s worth before swaggering his way down to the ring. Stepping in, he takes a microphone and waits for the crowd to die down a bit before raising it to his lips.

Before the new champion can get a single word out, the former champion’s music blares over the speakers.

Bobby Roode walks out to a chorus of boos, and by the look on his face, he is in no mood for messing around. A “you’re a loser” chant starts up as he steps into the ring, and Aries starts to laugh in Roode’s face.

“Aries, last Sunday at Destination X-“

Aries cuts him off before he can get any further. “Let me stop you right there, Roode. Let me guess. You got screwed over and blah blah blah, some crap that nobody cares about. Well, let me spell things out to you plain and simple. Me Austin Aries. Me new champion. You…LOSER.”

By that point, Roode has had enough of Aries’ mouth and swings at the champion. Aries saw it coming, ducks the fist, and takes the title belt off to hit Roode in the face with it, knocking him down in the middle of the ring so that Aries can pose confidently over his body.

Devon© vs D’Angelo Dinero

Dinero is out first to boos, though the crowd cares little about him. The champion comes out next to defend his title, to a slightly louder positive reaction. The match starts with the champion offering to shake the hand of his opponent, only to get kicked swiftly in the gut. The two brawl into the corner, where Devon turns the tables and stomps Dinero down. He picks Dinero up and whips him into the other corner. Charging, he gets caught with an elbow to the face, and then hit with a swinging neckbreaker for a count of two.

Dinero puts Devon into a headlock, which the champion fights out of after a minute. Pushing Dinero into the ropes, Devon rolls the challenger up for a pinfall attempt that goes nowhere. Dinero brawls his way back to his feet and knees Devon in the gut before hitting a DDT. Devon kicks out of that pin attempt as well, then fights his way back to his feet. He gains control and goes to hit his finisher on Dinero, but as he lifts the challenger up¸ Dinero flips behind Devon and rolls him up, grabbing the tights for the win at 11:48.

Zema Ion vs Eric Young

The new X-Division champion comes out with hairspray in hand and the belt around his waist. He sprays his hair heavily before spraying the title down with it and wiping it off with his arm, using it as a mirror and grinning at his reflection. Eric Young comes out next with his wife ODB, and the match is underway.

Ion and Young tie up at the start, with Young taking control with a headlock. Zema ends up dumping EY to the floor before hitting a baseball slide and a suicide dive through the middle rope. Ion rolls Young into the ring and covers for a two. He starts to stomp on Young until he gets distracted by arguing with the crowd that has been boing him. Young uses this opportunity to throw him into the turnbuckle and hit a suplex, covering for a two. Young locks up with the referee after Ion kicks out, allowing Ion to hit him from behind. ODB gets on the ring apron to yell at Ion, allowing Young to charge from behind. Ion moves and Young knocks ODB to the floor. As Eric checks on his wife, Ion rolls Young up for the pin and the victory.

Hardcore Match

Bully Ray vs Joseph Parks

Ray comes out first, yelling into the camera about twitter, his calves, and various other things. Joseph Parks comes out next in his track suit, looking incredibly nervous and scared. Bully wastes no time in beating Parks down in the corner until the lawyer rolls out of the ring. Ray follows, chasing Parks around the ring until the large man slides into the ring. Ray follows and gets stomped a few times before he fights to his feet. Ray throws Joseph from the ring and then follows, tossing him into the barricade and then the steel steps. Ray retrieves a trash can from under the ring and dents it over the head of the lawyer, who starts to bleed from the impact.

Ray puts Parks back into the ring, along with a couple of steel chairs and a table. He sets the table up leaning against the corner and goes to irish whip Parks into it. Parks reverses, but Ray stops just short of the table, allowing Joseph to spear him through the table. Joseph drapes an arm over the wrestler for a two-count.

Parks stands up and gets one of the chairs, swinging it at Ray, who ducks and hitting himself in the face with it. Ray sets the chairs up while Parks is down, powerbombing him into them and pinning for the win.

Ray wraps one of the chairs around the thick neck of the lawyer post-match and goes up top, but gets chased off as Kurt Angle comes running down the ramp and chases the bully out of the ring.

Brooke Tessmacher© vs Madison Rayne

Rayne came out first and Tessmacher, as the champion, was introduced second. It was your standard knockouts match, though Tessmacher’s lack of stamina showed even in such a short match. Brooke got the win in just over 7 minutes.

Post-match, Tara comes to the ring to celebrate with her friend Brooke, lifting her arm into the air before grabbing Tessmacher and laying her out with the widow’s peak.

Samoa Joe vs Daniels

The two long-time rivals are set to face off in what Taz and Mike Tenay speculate could be a major factor in determining a new number 1 contender for the world title. Joe gets the jump early, beating Daniels around the ring with punches and chops. He whips Daniels into the corner and hits him with a splash, throwing his opponent to the ground before hitting a big backsplash off the middle rope.

Joe is in complete control of the match as Daniels is obviously feeling the effects of his match on Sunday with AJ Styles. Joe puts Daniels in various submission holds, working over The Fallen Angel’s midsection until Kazarian climbs on the apron and allows Daniels to cheat his way to the advantage. Daniels works Joe over in the corner, climbing up for a ten punch until Joe fights out and powerbombs Daniels HARD into the mat. Joe makes a throat cutting motion and goes to apply his coquina clutch on Daniels until his foot is pulled by Kazarian, causing enough of a distraction for his opponent to hit the Angel’s Wings for the win.

After the match, an angry Joe blasts Daniels from behind before Kazarian joins them in the ring. Joe tries to fight the two off, but the numbers game is too much and Joe is getting beaten down until Magnus runs into the ring and chases off the tag team champions.

Austin Aries © vs Bobby Roode

Austin Aries is out first, and barely makes it to the ramp before he’s attacked from behind by Bobby Roode. Roode grabs Aries and throws him face-first into the steel of the set, stomping away at the prone champion. He beats Aries down the ramp and tosses him against the barricade before ramming his head into the steps and bouncing him off of the ring post.

He rolls Aries into the ring and covers for two, but Roode already looks frustrated. He stomps on Aries again, then starts to mock the champion as Aries uses the ropes to stand up. Roode grabs Aries and gives him a back drop before dropping a knee in a very Ric Flair style. Another cover gets another two, which leads to Roode mounting Aries on the ground and punching him directly in the face.

Roode is obviously getting cocky at this point. He lets go of Aries and stands up, mocking both Aries and the crowd. Roode goes to the top rope and attempts a fist drop, which Aries rolls out of the way of at the last second. Aries runs off the ropes and dropkicks Roode in the side of the head, knocking the challenger to the ground. Aries continues the offensive against Roode, throwing everything at the former champion until he gets hot-shotted into the turnbuckle. Roode rolls up Aries, who manages to kick out.

Roode is starting to get concerned, so he picks up Aries and hits The Payoff, covering for a 1…2…but Aries gets his foot on the bottom rope. Roode is furious by this point and forces Aries to his feet, intending to hit another finisher on him. Aries shoves Roode back, though, and he bumps the referee in the corner. Aries charges, getting an elbow from Roode. A big clothesline takes Aries down, but as Roode gets to his feet, he’s caught by a Last Call superkick from James Storm, who drapes Aries’ arm over Roode. The referee comes to for long enough to count a two, with Roode kicking out at the last possible moment. The two competitors fight their way to their feet before Aries takes control and hits a brainbuster for a 1…2…3!

Aries staggers to his feet and has his arm raised by the referee. Holding the title belt high, he is suddenly attacked by Christopher Daniels and Kazarian until AJ Styles runs into the ring and chases the two off with a steel chair to end the show.

Not worried about Roode's push just booking the rematch so quick isn't my cup of tea but wasn't that big of a gripe. And yeah BFG series can be tough to figure out. Just give us a reason somewhere why its dropped have Hogan or even the commentators note it.

I'll work something in with the interim GM. I don't think it's much of a spoiler at all to say that Hogan will be out of action for at least a few weeks.

Was hogan ever in action? Haha so far i like the storylines, interested in seeing what happens with the X Division title, and i like where you're going with Roode-Storm.

Following the vicious attacks on both James Storm and Hulk Hogan on last week's show, chaos is running wild in iMPACT Wrestling. Sting has taken matters into his own hands by demanding a match with Robert Roode, but what about Hulk Hogan?</p><p> </p><p>

Dixie Carter said on Twitter that Hogan will not be at this week's show, but who will be in charge of the show in his stead?</p><p> </p><p>

Who was the masked assailant of the general manager?</p><p> </p><p>

Also, Television champion D'Angelo Dinero has very special guest former champion Devon on his new segment, Pope's Pulpit.</p><p> </p><p>

On top of all of this, World champion Austin Aries is set to address Christopher Daniels and Kazarian after costing them their world tag team championships this past week.</p><p> </p><p>

An explosive episode of Impact is all but guaranteed coming to you this Thursday! </p></div><p></p><p></p>
