Regis
Frat Pack (Darius King & Kal Patel) vs. Wiseguys (OG Sweet & Brooklyn Bully) BASICALLY JOBBERS! Zergon
Frat Pack (Darius King & Kal Patel) vs. Wiseguys (OG Sweet & Brooklyn Bully) I believe that Wiseguys are higher on the ladders right now. Golden Heart vs. The Magnificent Mountie I just don´t see Heart dropping a match to Mountie. Shay Kinsella & Stallion Stanley vs. Faceless (???? y ????) Stanley is just a jobber so I go with Faceless. Johnny G. Wells vs. All Hallows Eve Bookerman jobs here. Faceless vs. The Great Juan w/ Alexia Dynamite Going with the unknown guy again. POW Trios Championship That Seventies Trio (DISCO Fox, Donny Chic & KC Summer) vs. Air Gangsta © (Brian King, Lil Swag & Lt. Geoffrey C. Westminster II) I just think that they are better team, assuming of course that Fox are actually on the same page than the other two. The Pledges (Pledge Suzuki & "Pledge" Phil Holz) vs. Longhorn Hung Lo (Lance Van Der Beek & Hung Lo) w/ Tess Stickles Jobbers! POW Sidekicks Championship 2/3 Falls Los Cinematicos (El Hot Dog y El Popcorn) vs. Women of Doom © (Mio Nawabe & W.M.D.) They not jobbers but they aren´t good enough to beat Women of Doom either. POW Grand Championship Elimination Christian Prophet vs. J.T. vs. Ashmedai vs. Little Willy © w/ Tess Stickles Little early for a title change so I go with champ. OG Sweet looks into the camera with a fierce expression. “Swag, you been big news a long time now,” he says. “Big news round here, anyway. “I kinda gotta respect that. But you still dissed my sister. And that's gonna have to be dealt with. “South Central for life, yo. In the end, despite Darius King's best efforts, the Brooklyn Bully stuns him and sets him up for the South Central Slam, securing a pin. The Wiseguys defeated the Frat Pack Rating: C- http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/POW_Banner.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/KosmoSupreme.jpg Kyle Hart is doing one-handed pushups backstage. He ceases entirely, then stands up, and the camera moves up with him to reveal that it's his cousin-in-law Jess Gilmour-Hart who's visiting. “This place is growing,” she remarks. Kyle grins and nods. “This is the first time in a while NEITHER Hart has been competing... And that's a sure sign the talent is coming.” “I blame the IPWF,” Jess laughs. “We're seeing some real talent come through. “But it's still a real shame to lose out,” she nods Golden Heart's music starts to play, and she smiles. “Excuse me a moment, Kyle,” she says. “I rather want to watch this.” “I'll come with you,” Kyle offers. There is an inexplicable smoke grenade, and when it clears, only Kyle is standing there, bewildered. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/POW_Banner.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/GoldenHeart.jpg vs. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/MagnificentMountie.jpg Golden Heart vs. The Magnificent Mountie The contest is surprisingly good, given the Magnificent Mountie's form of late. The heroine takes the fight to him in stunning style but he does manage to hold his own, at one point meeting a flying lariat from her in such a way as to convert it to a C4 – but that doesn't get the win, and in the end a Golden Wizard – a shining wizard flying from the top rope – ends it all in Golden Heart's favour. Golden Heart defeated the Magnificent Mountie Rating: B- http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/POW_Banner.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/ShayKinsella.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/StallionStanley.jpg vs. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/thefaceless_zpsd9a9cdd7.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/thefaceless_zpsd9a9cdd7.jpg Shay Kinsella & Stallion Stanley vs. The Faceless Another match that slightly surprises, but Shay and Stanley are hard-pressed from the off. Da Commish is, for once, not his usual lighthearted dancing self, and the Faceless have a surprising level of ability to perform as a single grouping. Shay will ultimately take this one, connecting the Urbana Native to grab a pinfall, but Stallion Stanley is out cold in the ring by the time that happens. Shay Kinsella & Stallion Stanley defeated The Faceless Rating: C- http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/POW_Banner.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/ShayKinsella.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/StallionStanley.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/thefaceless_zpsd9a9cdd7.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/thefaceless_zpsd9a9cdd7.jpg The two Faceless drive Shay out of the ring and then surround Stanley. Wells is his usual punching bag throughout the match and, despite dominating in any case, Eve uses her magical wiles, perhaps to make a point, then lays him out with the Creature of the Night for the win. All Hallows Eve defeated Johnny G Wells Rating: D http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/POW_Banner.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/thefaceless_zpsd9a9cdd7.jpg vs. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/JoseAngelGarces.jpg w/ http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/AlexiaDynamite.jpg Faceless vs. The Great Juan w/ Alexia Dynamite The Faceless does his, her, or its best, but Juan is a shining talent and easily controls the contest before laying him out with the Capitalist Running Dog. Both Alexia and he pose as he pins. The Great Juan defeated Faceless Rating: D+ http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/POW_Banner.jpg Backstage, the DVD camera crew have their field of focus squarely on the floor of a corridor. At the very top of the visual field, the bottom six inches of a double-door can be seen. And, coming from somewhere beyond them, there's a muffled bass beat. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/DISCOFox.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/DonnyChic.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/KCSummer.jpg Both doors fly open simultaneously. Three pairs of dazzlingly funky boots approach the camera in synch. As the doors bang shut behind them, the camera starts to pan up as That Seventies Trio swagger toward, a ghetto blaster over a shoulder each their funky beat in perfect synchronisation, the three of them moving as a perfect unit. As the music swells they hit a spinning move simultaneously, somehow still not connecting with one another or breaking stride. They pass the cameraman and head out toward their title shot. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/POW_Trios.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/DISCOFox.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/DonnyChic.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/KCSummer.jpg That Seventies Trio vs. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/BrianKing.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/LilSwag.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/GeoffreyWestminsterII.jpg Air Gangsta © Considering how long the dancing trio have been at each other's throats, the synchronisation and teamwork of their moves is hard to believe. They're at least as unified in their style and endeavours as their opponents – and that's no mean feat; their opponents have been trios champions for a surprisingly long time. Air Gangsta aren't easy to take down, not by any stretch. They slowly resort to the trickery they've only occasionally had to bust out, but DISCO Fox struts clear of a cloud of white powder, connecting with the Last Dance on Lil Swag. Discotheque promptly rush Brian King out of the ring, allowing Fox to score the pinfall and win them the titles! That Seventies Trio defeated Air Gangsta Rating: D+ http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/POW_Banner.jpg As the DVD crew once again go backstage, they find what appears to be a neatly organised, businesslike office. A large oil-painting of Little Willy holding the Grand Championship aloft hangs to the left of the big chair. Hanging to the right is the Grand Championship itself and the subdued pink double-oval logo of VAGINA. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/JamieVann.jpg Tess Stickles, business-suited and efficient, look out at the camera. “Good afternoon,” she says politely. “On behalf of the IPWF, the Committee of Licensed International Technicians (Open Rules, Independent Standards) is proud to announce that we will be superceding POW events through the next month. We will be hosting tournaments and showcasing IPWF wrestlers throughout that time. “VAGINA is open for business, ladies and gentlemen. He promptly locks in the Sophomore Slump to secure a submission. The Pledges defeated Longhorn Hung Lo Rating: D http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/POW_Banner.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/JamieVann.jpg “This is a bad idea, Tess,” a cultured British accent informs her as the DVD crew find themselves backstage again, studying the VAGINA Committee room. Stickles looks up. “What makes you say that, Mr Vine?” http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/PaulCrowley.jpg “The Faceless thrive on the lives and names of great wrestlers. And you're planning to bring a great many of them together, in the same place... “They'll feast. And Ashmedai's plan will be so much closer to fruition. “You can't do this, Tess. Please.” She smiles up at the charismatic secret agent. “What would it be worth to you, Charles, for me to refrain?” He bites his lip. “Tess,” he says. “That was a long time ago. I was... uninvolved, then.” “Well,” she smiles. “Uninvolve yourself... and perhaps I'll put pleasure before business.” http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/POW_Sidekick.jpg Best Of Three Falls http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/ElHotDog.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/ElPopcorn.jpg vs. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/MioNawabe.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/WMD.jpg Los Cinematicos vs. Women Of Doom © In a spellbinding exchange early on, WMD and El Popcorn wrestle to a standstill. She levels him with a lariat, but he rolls out of the ring, and WMD eats a Mustard-Based Assault immediately afterward – only to kick out. She levels El Hot Dog with a big boot and squeaks out the pin, winning the first fall. Nawabe takes over through the second fall, which works well for a while but Popcorn, revitalised, comes back, saving Hot Dog from the Fisherwoman's Suplex. The duo combine, connecting with the For A Dollar More to equal the score at a fall apiece. With tensions rising WMD and Nawabe pick up their pace, hitting hard and tagging quickly. Los Cinematicos take a beating, especially El Popcorn, but Hot Dog ultimately rallies and comes off the top rope with a two-footed dropkick. WMD rocks backward – and trips over Popcorn's form, crashing backward. El Hot Dog covers as El Popcorn spears Nawabe out of the ring. And, against all odds and all probability, Los Cinematicos are the Sidekicks Champions! Los Cinematicos defeated Women Of Doom Rating: C http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/POW_Banner.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/ElHotDog.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/ElPopcorn.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/MioNawabe.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/WMD.jpg WMD moves to lay them out – and Nawabe is in her way, stopping her. The Woman of Mass Destruction pauses, confused, and Nawabe calls for a microphone. “I have wrestled all over the world,” she says. “but I have always fought as joshi. You know this word here, yes?” She looks around them. “I must hope so. Joshi is the spirit that drives me. That drives, whether they know it, my sister here,” she pats WMD's shoulder, “the last champion here, Jess Gilmour-Hart... Alexia Dynamite... Nevada Van Sant... All Hallows Eve... FearForce. “Joshi is the spirit of the woman warrior. Joshi is the heart of a wrestler. Joshi is what makes us stand opposite the men, and fight them, and best them where we can. “Joshi is what I have tried to show, tried to bring, wherever I have been. “And while I have had a good career, it is time to end it. There are many here who will continue. “My sister, you and I have been successful no matter what, and no matter where. It is time for me to stop... and I know you will do the cause proud. “But for now... this once... allow my final opponents what they deserve. The chance to celebrate their victory.” WMD hesitates, but nods. Los Cinematicos exchange glances, then move forward. To the crowd's approval, each raises one of Nawabe's arms. Nawabe bows, and the quartet head backstage, Los Cinematicos pausing toward the end to raise their new belts aloft. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/POW_Grand.jpg Elimination http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/ChristianProphet.jpg vs. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/ScottSeal.jpg vs. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/Ashmedai.jpg vs. http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/CameronCody.jpg w/ http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/JamieVann.jpg Christian Prophet vs. J.T. vs. Ashmedai vs. Little Willy © w/ Tess Stickles A great fight, this one. And fight it is, with Willy the only truly speedy competitor – and he uses that speed as best he can to stay clear of a lot of the combat. Ashmedai and Prophet hammer one another with astonishing force – at one point, Prophet punches his nemesis three feet from the ropes with enough strength that the Prince of Hell topples back against and over them. Strangely, when they connect with J.T. they don't appear to hit anything like as hard. His suplexes are nasty, though, and he nearly eliminates Ashmedai after a huge superplex – but Willy senses opportunity. A Big Bang connects with them both, and he prioritises pinning his former stablemate. Elimination #1: J.T. Prophet hammers on Ashmedai a while, but the two are evenly matched. It's not until a Malle Gesserit attempt is helped by Willy sweeping Ashmedai's legs out from under him. Both men together are able to keep the giant's shoulders down – but only just. Elimination #2: Ashmedai Prophet and Willy seem evenly matched, back and forth a while before Willy spots an opportunity, taking them both out of the ring from a tussle on the apron. Back in the ring, he and Tess promptly get Tiny Jackson's attention – and, true to form, Ashmedai nails Prophet from behind. He rolls the dark messiah back into the ring and the standing moonsault from Willy confirms it. Little Willy defeated Ashmedai, Christian Prophet and J.T. Rating: C+ http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/POW_Banner.jpg http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/Ashmedai.jpghttp://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/POW/ChristianProphet.jpg Ashmedai rolls into the ring, coming to a halt kneeling above Prophet's prone form. “No mortal. Core & Kosmo Supreme vs. All Hallows Eve & Ashmedai Not sure about this one as though Core is likely the biggest name here you are pushing Ashmedai heavily. Still I think Eve is the weak link here. Christian Prophet vs. Johnny Cross Ok, so I just like Prophet too much to have him lose an outsider. Jess Gilmour-Hart vs. Tyler Mercury Again, Jess is one of your top stars so I have him going over. POW Grand Championship 30-Minute Iron Man Match Super TIGER vs. Little Willy © w/ Tess Stickles TIGER has been solid in his earlier guest appearances but I still don´t see him getting your main title unless you signed him full-time. Regis
15-Man Battle Royal Featuring: Brian King, Darius King, DISCO Fox, Donny Chic, El Hot Dog, El Popcorn, El Terrorifico, Faceless, Frightening, Johnny G Wells, Kal Patel, Lone Ranger I, Lone Ranger II, Lt. Geoffrey C. Westminster II, Shay Kinsella It's a B-list Battle Royale except for Da Commish. Atlantica y Elsa Martinez vs. FearForce (Dark Magik y La Cazadora) Be nice to the talent trades. "Kick-Ass" Candace Horne vs. Venus A shot in the dark, either woman deserves this. No Nonsense Soldiers (J.T. & Richie Santance Jr) vs. Persuaders (Charles Vine & Nevada Van Sant) vs. Longhorn Hung Lo (Lance Van Der Beek & Hung Lo) w/ Tess Stickles vs. Faceless (???? y ????) The Persuaders would be #1, but I reckon that their feud with Ashmedai will lead to them becoming targets. The Faceless are close to being JOBBERS, and though VAGINA are slippery customers, I doubt that they'll be on top here. Meido Machine vs. Mammon The less talented Prince Of Hell gets to put over the Kawaii King. Core & Kosmo Supreme vs. All Hallows Eve & Ashmedai Normally I'd give this one to Ashmedai every way, but the presence of Core changes things. Christian Prophet vs. Johnny Cross Prophet does not just job. Jess Gilmour-Hart vs. Tyler Mercury Jess is good, a top talent, but she can take this loss without damaging her credibility and we need to be good to the talent trades. POW Grand Championship 30-Minute Iron Man Match Super TIGER vs. Little Willy © w/ Tess Stickles The belt does not go back to DRAGON. Although one day, a guy on a three-show loan will win it, defend it once then lose it back, just to show that it can happen.

Geoffrey C. Westminster II, Shay Kinsella Sterling work from those involved. There are a lot more alliances in this one, and it tells, with Wells falling to Brian King first, before the Faceless spectacularly eliminates both of the Lone Rangers with a flying double lariat, bracing his feet on the second rope to backflip back into the ring. Westminster II stops the Dreaming duo from eliminating King, and Kinsella connects on Patel with an Urbana Native to eliminate him; Darius King nearly puts Kinsella out in return, but Da Commish rolls clear. El Terrorifico dropkicks Darius King over the edge and DISCO Fox and Donny Chic, with perfect timing, hustle Terrorifico out of the ring in response. Los Cinematicos demonstrate their own teamwork, with Westminster II being eliminated by a For A Dollar More. They try to repeat this on Frightening, but he counters into a headscissors, putting El Hot Dog out of the ring, then backdropping Brian King as the gangsta rushes him. That's a good start, but the Faceless nails him with a European uppercut, then powerbombs Frightening out. With the action fast and furious up to this point, the disco duo focus on the Faceless, but he counters, sending DISCO Fox crashing into El Popcorn. Kinsella connects with another Urbana Native on reflex, sending El Popcorn tumbling from the ring. Meanwhile, the Faceless suplexes Donny onto the ring apron and connects with a Pele kick to eliminate Donny Chic. Fox tries to send the Faceless flying, and it almost works but, somewhat miraculously, it stays in. A superkick from Kinsella finally puts the Faceless out. DISCO Fox and Shay Kinsella then put on a three-minute clinic before, one last time, there's an Urbana Native and DISCO Fox falls. The four “Luchadora the explorers,” as the Buccaneer accidentally refers to them (“sorry, folks. I have young kids.”) put on a pretty good show, and ultimately it's one that's decided by the veteran presence in the ring. Dark Magik finds herself whipped to the mat by the Atlantica Armbar and, not surprisingly, taps to the hold. It's biggest issue is that there are never fewer than four competitors active at once, and accordingly, most fans can't really follow it. The battle becomes confusing, but the bits that can be followed are pretty good. On the outskirts of the battle as things rage toward a conclusion, Tess Stickles catches Vine just before he enters the ring. She hops up onto the apron, getting his attention, and wiggles her hips. That means Nevada doesn't get support, and because Nevada doesn't get that support, she gets caught in the tornado of suplexes that is J.T. He bullies the smaller man with strength, tossing him around the ring like a crossdressing ragdoll. The victory looks certain for the Prince of Hell. And then, out of nowhere, Meido Machine finds a cradle roll-up. A cradle roll-up which, to POW fans, will be highly recognisable. The SWA hero Christian Alexander – now with PWI – comes out, posing for a moment in the entryway. He has a mic in hand. “Johnny, Johnny, Johnny,” he begins. “It's been a while, Johnny. And I hope... I hope... that the fact you couldn't pin this man doesn't mean you've lost anything. Because... “Because we had a war, Johnny. We fought for, what, three years? We nearly burned Seattle down. And I don't know about you... but I've been on TV for a year now, and you've been on TV for two... and everywhere I go, the first thing they ask me about isn't something like my issues with Cross on TV. The first thing they ask me about is, how much of my career did Johnny Cross take away from me? How hard did I fight? How much did it cost me? “I didn't agree to return to that with my career secured, with no need to let it all hang out, for IPWF Fun For All The Family, only for this one to be a letdown, Johnny. “And you may not want to admit it, but I don't think you'd be willing to take a short victory over a long war of a defeat either. “I want you on form, Johnny. And so do these fans. If we're going to give each other another week of lying on our backs popping pain pills, wishing we were the supermen we act like we are... then it has to be worth it. “This isn't for me. These two let it all hang out; every signature move, every major spot, a few innovated for the occasion, Mercury at one point attempting to enrage Jess by planting a kiss on her – only for an outraged Tiny Jackson to slap him “and THAT'S for being ungentlemanly!” Jess rallies, and the pair's battle spills out onto the floor, but they make it back in later. The Figure-Four is applied, but the Man of the Millennium escapes. Tyler rallies, but Jess prevents the top-rope brainbuster, slipping free cleanly. Willy nearly scores with a superkick after seven minutes, but TIGER somehow manages to get a shoulder up.
