Things were starting to pick up in the WWE, as the Royal Rumble was in right at everyone's doorstep. A hot rivalry was going to culminate on the night, as World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus would defend his title against the Number One Contender, Wade Barrett.

 

In other news, CM Punk's WWE Championship reign was huge now, but it might come to an end, as he is set to battle the "Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment", with the most prestigious prize in the WWE, on the line.

 

Also, the United States Championship is up for grabs in a Fatal Four Way match, pitting the reigning champion Antonio Cesaro against "Mr. Money In The Bank" Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston and the recently returned Jack Swagger, who has been wrestling under the alias Jack 'Merica.

 

Meanwhile, the Intercontinental Champion won't be getting off easy either, as Cody Rhodes will be defending his title against his former mentor, Randy Orton...in a Ladder match! However, some good news for Cody is that Smackdown GM Booker T has announced, should Rhodes win, he will receive a World Heavyweight Championship match in the distant future.

 

Tag Team action will see the unique team of Hell No battle the Uso Twins for the gold in a No Holds Barred match, with the Uso's on the rise, Hell No will have to be careful.

 

And who could forget the Divas! Beth Phoenix will be taking on current Divas Champion Eve Torres in a No Disqualification match, while the finals of the Divas Tag Team Tournament will see Tamina Snuka and Kailtlyn facing the less than co-operative alliance of Natalya and Alicia Fox.

 

But of course, there is one more thing...the Royal Rumble Match! 30 Competitors will fight tooth and nail to claim their position in the Main Event of Wrestlemania 29!
