I`m just curious, how do you write up your shows? And have the pictures with C grade etc.

ROH Around the world of Wrestling

 

This is the first 2-3 month update of the wrestling world outside ROH this is just to keep the readers updated with the happenings in the dynasty....

 

WWE

 

The WWE has had an okay but very interesting few months, with Randy Orton, Edge and John Cena injured at the start of the dynasty it was clear they had to start pushing new faces into the main event which they did. Much doubted World Heavyweight champion CM Punk has surprisingly remained champ through this period with defenses against JBL, The Miz and Batista, despite this he has still been booked weak in several tag matches with Kofi Kingston and has suffered losses to the Colon's and The Legacy.

 

Other superstars to join the main event have been Jeff Hardy who entered along program with Triple H, Shelton Benjamin who has kept his US title as well as beating the likes of Triple H, Jeff Hardy, The Big Show and The Undertaker. MVP also found himself elevated to the main event working closely with Benjamin in a tag team feud against Triple H and Jeff Hardy.

 

Shawn Michaels is in the middle of what is being called a failed heel turn after attacking John Cena on Cena's return to Raw he went on to lose to Cena at the following ppv before being stuck in meaningless matches without any story line. Randy Orton returned to Raw to receive a face turn after he ditched Legacy leaving Dibiase and Rhodes, he cemented the face turn by defeating Dibiase in a match on Smackdown.

 

ECW continued to debut the young superstars from FCW which saw a batch of great talent get called up including Phil Shatter, Alex Riley and Dolph Ziggler. Mark Henry remained champion throughout this time but has been mainly featured as a midcarder on Smackdown only making several defenses of the belt against weak opponents. Meanwhile Dolph Ziggler has been established as the face of ECW main eventing most weeks and quickly rising to the top of the roster with wins over Tommy Dreamer, Evan Bourne and several draws with Finlay, this along with the returning Diesel somewhat endorsing Ziggler and becoming his manager shows the WWE have big plans for him.

 

Unforgiven and No Mercy were both success' with around 300,000 buys each although neither one were particularly great with not many big matches being featured. Raw's ratings have been terrific as they constantly are getting around 5.0's but Smackdown's are quite lackluster in comparison averaging around 3.0's.

 

They have kept Triple H, CM Punk and Mark Henry holding the three world titles and haven't changed a minor title holder either, so WWE looks to have faith in what they are currently doing.

 

TNA

 

Meanwhile TNA's roster has remained the same and they are heavily pushing the new Main Event Mafia Storyline with Booker T, Steiner, Angle and Sting fighting the younger talent like Christian, Styles and Samoa Joe.

 

Much like WWE, TNA hasn't changed champions either with Joe still world champion, Beer Money tag champs and Petey Williams X-Division.

 

No Surrender had a weak card but still managed 40,000 buys, TNA set a bench mark with Bound for Glory which contained great matches like Beer Money beating LAX, Joe defending his title against Sting, Styles and Booker T and the main event where Christian and Curry Man beat Angle and Steiner. The great show was a hit and drew 55,000 PPV buys topping TNA's highest ever (Lockdown 2008 50,000).

 

TNA's ratings have slipped slightly now in the 0.7-0.8 mark but still the company as a whole is doing good.

 

Indy's

 

The indie scene has mostly been dominated by ROH recently although PWG have put on some great shows with epic matches from Black vs Danielson (didn't deliver when i booked that match haha) and Hero vs Danielson. Excluding ROH every indy company still remains without a ppv provider or a tv show so there is certainly a lack of growth in the indy scene.

ROH would first like to announce that ROH Take No Prisoners got 1,000 buys on PPV, ROH officials are very pleased that they have managed this number for the last three PPV events and hope to try and increase it in the future.

 

Secondly Ring of Honor are pleased to announce that they have signed a television deal with HDNet, starting next month (December 2008) Ring of Honor wrestling will air every Friday in the United States and in Canada. With this it is expected that ROH will cut the number of PPV's down to between 6-10 next year to allow longer time to build rivalries and storylines.
