<p>TFC: I'm definitely still running the Hotline between shows, because I love that aspect. The only thing that will ever happen to the Hotline will be maybe when we get to 1996 it'll change to WCW.com. As for the signs thought, that was kinda what I was leaning toward. I'd had a few ideas, but I think it'll just be a thing where anyone who wants to can leave me fan signs along with their comments. Also, I didn't really mean they'd be upset that I posted the show, just that I gave no prior warning for it. But now, without predictions (save for PPVs) I won't need to post warnings at all anymore, so shows will just go up when I finish them.</p><p> </p><p>

Chuck: Oh good I'm glad you didn't mind, cause as soon as I saw you'd posted in here I immediately felt bad! lol! Have a great time on your honeymoon though! I actually was trying to rush my way through a few of the Spring Stampede matches in order to get the show posted quicker, because I felt like I was sitting on a time bomb with the Blonds reveal - either I was going to get the show posted, or I was going to have to spoil it to everyone!</p><p> </p><p>

Jag: glad to have you reading, and I honestly love seeing other WCW'94 games running as well - I don't have a monopoly on the time period or anything!</p>

The winner will receive the Spoils of War, which will grant one lucky wrestler anything his heart desires! But the other huge event going on will be the matchup signed after our main event last week, as Hollywood Hogan will defend the World’s Heavyweight title against “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes! Otherwise on the card, there will be a ladder match for now TWENTY thousand dollars between “Hired Hand” Scott Hall and “Nature Boy” Ric Flair, a Last Man Standing match that could potentially last all night long between Cactus Jack and Vader, Armstrongs against Armstrongs, Art Barr going one-on-one against former partner Eddie Guerrero, and JPL against Lord Steven Regal! Fans, you can NOT miss this one – call your local cable companies to order now! </div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Option 2: WCW contract release!</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>World Championship Wrestling came to terms with the release of “Wildfire” Tommy Rich from his pay-per-appearance contract. It was said to just be so that the aging Rich could focus more on his independent career, without having to worry about coming into WCW shows. There was no bad blood left from this departure, and if the chance arises in the future, WCW would welcome Rich back to the roster. </div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Option 3: Exclusive contract news!</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Our sources have told us that both Mark Callaway a.k.a. The Undertaker, and Solofa Fatu a.k.a. Headshrinker Fatu are nearing the end of their WWF contracts. Rumor has it that Callaway has decided to stay loyal to the WWF – probably a bad idea – and not take any contract offers from WCW; while WCW has no real interest in bringing Fatu back to the promotion. Fatu and Samu worked as the Samoan Swat Team in WCW in the late 80’s. But in one of Vinceland’s “better” ideas, is that they are letting retired wrestlers James Cornette and Pat Patterson walk away. WCW are said to be very interested in bringing in Patterson, feeling that his experience can only help in the backstage area. However, Cornette is more interested in running his own Smoky Mountain Wrestling instead of rejoining WCW. </div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Option 4: WCW Saturday Night preview!</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>It may not be the right season for basketball yet, but don’t worry, sports fans; WCW are heading to Indiana’s Basketball Cathedral this week to bring you more hot action than you can handle!<p> </p><p> After the blockbuster announcement regarding World War 3’s huge battle royal, we will hear from all manner of entrants in the match, who will be talking about what they want if they are able to win The Spoils of War!</p><p> </p><p> The World Tag Team titles will be defended in a return match from Spring Stampede, as the Road Warriors, with Dusty Rhodes back in their corner, look to knock off the new champions, Brian Pillman and Steve Austin, at the first defense! How about your World champion losing a silly tag team match? Apparently that’s the WWF’s route, as Vinnie Vegas and his little buddy defeated Bam Bam and Bret in the main event of In Your House this month. It was the epitome of a C-show pay-per-view, as no titles changed hands, but nothing was important whatsoever. Compared to Spring Stampede, where the world was stunned by the change of the Tag Team titles. The next night, Mean Mark defeated the not-Japanese in a Raw main event that barely drew flies. </div></blockquote><p> </p><p> <span style="text-decoration:underline;">Option 9: A special gift from the WCW Catalog!</span></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Baseball season is right around the corner! WW3 is in week 2 of May, so there isn't much build; but really, most of the build deals with the battle royal, and I made sure I set it up that way because it means I get an extra week on the road to the Bash, which I intend to be on par with Starrcade!</p>

Tony laughs, saying that he didn’t have to rile up the Indianapolis crowd, they were excited when we got here, and that’s when “The Body” jumps in, saying that he’s excited too, excited to see his favorite tag team in the main event where they belong, defending the titles against the Road Warriors. As the camera sees a sign in the crowd saying “Free the Hitman!” Bobby notes how outspoken Jesse has been about Nick Bockwinkel lately, saying that he may agree with Jesse but he’s tried to keep his head down a little bit. Ventura says he doesn’t care about that, he just wants to see his men get the fair shake they deserve. He says that the two of them have been at odds a lot as of late, mainly due to comments made by Steamboat on his build to Spring Stampede. He says he knows that “The Dragon” has no intention of apologizing for his words, but he wanted to bring the two together as a mediator, and say that by fighting with one another, they’re losing the big picture, which is the battle against the KoW! Steamboat says that Jesse is exactly right, and a few weeks of thinking about it has brought him to the same conclusion. He says that he doesn’t like Flair, and he will never trust Flair; he never has and he never will. But he will always respect what Flair can do in the ring. Flair returns the favor, saying that he feels the same way – that the two have far too differing personalities to ever get along, whether in the ring or out of it. But they have three things in common: incredible talent, the drive to be the best in this great sport, and hatred for the Kings of Wrestling! Flair says that he has an idea, though, something that will get everything all out in the open between the two, and will help them to get past their problems, which is something they need right now. Flair says that next week, WCW Saturday Night, woo; World Championship Wrestling will be in their famed stomping grounds of The Omni in Atlanta, Georgia, and he respectfully challenges Ricky Steamboat – one more time, step in the ring with “The Nature Boy” and tear the house down! The crowd cheer loudly, as Jesse turns and asks Steamboat what he thinks; and he agrees! For the first time ever, the two agree to a match with a handshake instead of an argument, and the date is set: two Saturdays from now, in The Omni, Ricky Steamboat faces off with Ric Flair!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B</em></p><p><em> Notes: Flair improvised quite well here, and Jesse really enjoyed playing the crowd.</em></p></div><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/BradArmstrong.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/BrianJames.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/RobertFuller.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RickyMorton.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RobertGibson.jpg</span><p> <strong>The Armstrong Brothers w/Colonel Robert Parker vs. The Rock ‘n Roll Express</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:8px;">Referee: Randy Anderson</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> This one, like the match before it, had some really good action, but the crowd were busy waiting for something bigger to happen. Tony said that they must be all talking about the big match that was just set up for Saturday Night in two weeks at The Omni. With the help of “The Colonel” on the outside, the Armstrongs dominate Ricky Morton for a short period, but they lose track when “Bullet” Bob comes out of the back! He has a microphone and he stops the match cold to say that due to what happened last week, he’s asked Scott to stay out of the family match at World War 3 next week – and HE is going to team with Steve to take on Brad and Brian! BG kicks the ropes and says he doesn’t want that, but just about then, Ricky grabs him from behind in a quick roll-up – the Rock ‘n Roll get the win! He wonders if maybe all those years of pulling Ric Flair’s coattails has made Arn go soft, and that’s why last July he didn’t jump on Parker’s offer to join the Stud Stable! Anderson laughs, saying that he didn’t join the Stud Stable because he knew Parker was the kind of guy to do what he did to Steve Austin and Diamond Dallas Page! Gordy grins, saying that is the sound of a soft, old wrestler who doesn’t think he has it anymore, because if Anderson thought he was good enough, then there’d be no reason for Parker to send him up the river, just like he has been! Arn fires back that he may not have many morals, but he knows a man who doesn’t when he sees them, and as soon as Gordy gets on the bad end of things, “The Colonel” will do away with him in a hurry for the next, newest toy, just like he always has! Terry squares up to Anderson, but Arn says that if Terry is so adamant that Parker is on his side, as much as he is above that level anymore, he’ll take a step down, and compete on Gordy’s level – if he’ll put the US title on the line at World War 3! Sting says that in the past year, he’s fought Flair, he’s fought Vader, he’s fought Muta, he’s fought the KoW, he’s fought Jake Roberts, but one thing he hasn’t done is go into hiding! He only wants one thing, and that’s to talk to Lex Luger, and the two can work things out like brothers, find out what Luger’s deal is, and they can get to the real business of kicking KoW butt!</p><p> </p><p> “The Total Package” comes out, and he says that Sting doesn’t get it, and he isn’t surprised at that – THAT is what he’s trying to do, to pull the wool back off of Sting’s eyes! He says that the old Sting wouldn’t have bothered fighting with Vader, or with Jake Roberts, or even bothering with Lex Luger right now – he’d be out there already kicking Hogan’s butt right back up to cartoon land where he came from! Sting asks when Lex thinks Sting went so soft, and Luger replies that it was really recent; right about this time last year, when he gave up his World title match to Hulk Hogan, was when Luger saw it. He tried to come back to WCW as soon as he could, so he could stop Sting from doing anything really stupid like join with Hogan and the KoW! Sting says he would never give up on the “Little Stingers” like that, but Luger says he also never would have thought Sting would so easily play second fiddle to another wrestler like he has in the past year. Lex says that he does have someone else helping him though, someone else who knows how the old Sting would operate, because it’s someone who Sting forced out of the sport! He comes out and Luger hands him the microphone. Rude says that what he’d like to have right now, is for Sting to close his mouth, and open his eyes; he’s been played like a fiddle by World Championship Wrestling AND his “Little Stingers” into not being the man he should have been from the start of this war. Rude says the sooner Sting realizes that, the sooner the threat of the Kings of Wrestling will end, because Sting is the hero that WCW needs – but the Sting in the ring in front of them right now will never be that hero. The same man who went face-to-face with the Dangerous Alliance, the same man who broke Rude’s back and forced him out of active wrestling would never let himself get side tracked while there was an immediate threat to World Championship Wrestling, and he wouldn’t let an excuse like not being able to wrestle for the World title get in his way either. Rick closes by telling Sting that until he snaps out of it and lives up to being the franchise that he and Lex know he can be, they’re going to make his life hell. Vader scoffs, replying that he better stick to Terry Funk and a possible title reign and call off the match with Vader – because he may walk in as a champion, but he won’t walk again after the match! Vader says that after he breaks Jack’s legs, he’ll never be able to defend the titles; he’ll never be able to be the last man standing, and since he won’t even be able to satisfy his old lady anymore, then maybe she should come and find out what “The Monster” is all about!</p><p> </p><p> Jack attacks! That last comment was way out of line, and he throws the first punch, as the two go at it with wild rights and lefts! Sonny and Okerlund run out of the line of fire, Okerlund calling for security to get in here! They finally rush into the ring and fill it in an attempt to separate the two, as we head to commercial break as all hell has broken loose!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B-</em></p><p><em> Notes: Vader did not do very good improvising here, but Gene did well.</em></p></div><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RicFlair.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/ArnAnderson.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/DustinRhodes.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/GeneOkerlund.jpg</span> </div><p></p><p></p><p> “Mean” Gene Okerlund is backstage with Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, and Dustin Rhodes when we come back from break. He says that he wants to hear from all three of them, but first he wants a word from “The Enforcer” about earlier tonight, is Terry Gordy right that Arn has no desire anymore in wrestling. Anderson says that he doesn’t have much to say about World War 3 because he wants to keep things close to his chest rather than run his mouth about things. He talks about how he’s had respect for what Terry Gordy did in the Freebirds, and that’s why he would have gladly co-existed in WCW with him. But he says that since Gordy wanted to call upon the clouds, then he will get the storm that comes with it. Anderson says that the two have had similar roles in groups, but only one of them has ever been good enough to be “The Enforcer”, and he’ll show Gordy all about it at World War 3.</p><p> </p><p> Gene throws it to Ric Flair, who says that he’s been practicing at home all week! Climbing ladders up and down, preparing for the ladder match. He says that to people who think he won’t be able to defeat Scott Hall in the twenty-thousand dollar, double or nothin’, climb the ladder match, he has a great plan: he’s going to lock Hall in the figure four leglock, break his legs off, and then climb the ladder at his leisure, woo! Okerlund turns to Dustin Rhodes, and asks him point-blank if he thinks he can defeat Hollywood Hogan next week at World War 3. Dustin says that the biggest thing he’s worried about is Kings of Wrestling interference. He knows that Hogan always has a few extra tricks up his sleeve, but Dustin is not only a Rhodes, but he’s been listening to his friends Flair, Steamboat, and Anderson – he’s learned that there are a lot of ways to skin a cat, and he is inviting the fans, Hogan, and especially his father next week to find out his huge surprise, a ghost from the past. Gene tries to prod him for more information, but Dustin clams up about it, turning his back to Okerlund as Flair “woooo”s at him until the segment fades.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: C+</em></p><p><em> Notes: Flair didn’t do very well improvising here, but Dustin improvised well.</em></p></div><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/ScottSteiner.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/LexLuger.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/RickRude.jpg</span><p> <strong>Scott Steiner vs. “The Total Package” Lex Luger w/Rick Rude</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:8px;">Referee: Nick Patrick</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Luger seems all pumped up for this match, more than usual, with the addition of Rick Rude at ringside, who does little more than stand stoically at ringside for the majority of the match. Steiner is game though, and he and Lex really seem to get into a groove against one another. Luger’s power moves are often countered by Scott right into beautiful belly-to-belly and belly-to-back suplexes, thrown with precision. Steiner nearly upsets Luger when he ducks under a running forearm smash and follows up with a hard Steinerline, getting a close two count! Scott sets Lex on the top rope, and yells out to the crowd that this is over! He climbs up to hit a Frankensteiner from the top rope, but Rick Rude takes this moment to climb up onto the apron, causing a distraction for Nick Patrick; Luger is able to reach up and hit a hard low blow on Scott! He shoves Steiner onto the top rope, crotching him there, as Lex gets off the turnbuckle and walks over, pulling Steiner onto his shoulders with the Human Torture Rack! Scott fights the pain as best as he can, but eventually he has nothing to do but signal to Nick Patrick that he submits! Is this kind of thing what Sting has to look forward to?</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winner in 12:06: Lex Luger</em></p><p><em> Rating: B</em></p></div><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWWorldTag.jpg</span><p> <span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/SteveAustin2.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/BrianPillman3.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Animal.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/Hawk.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/DustyRhodes2.jpg</span></p><p> <strong>WCW World Tag Team Championships</strong></p><p><strong> Steve Austin & “Loose Cannon” Brian Pillman vs. The Road Warriors w/Dusty Rhodes</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:8px;">Referee: Tommy Young</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The match seems to pick up as a great sequel to the impromptu open challenge from Spring Stampede. This time around, the Road Warriors are more rested, they’re meaner, they’re hungrier, and they’re more fired up – they want to tear Austin and Pillman limb from limb. Austin and Pillman may not have the element of surprise on this side this time, but they have the crowd going crazy for this almost Cinderella story. Plus, Austin hasn’t already had a street fight before this. The eyes of everyone in the Hinkle Fieldhouse are on this match, and boy do the participants deliver, holding an old school tag team match that is reminiscent of the 1980s badass Road Warriors against the smaller champions. Dusty Rhodes is back in the corner of Hawk and Animal, shouting instructions to his men throughout the matchup. Dusty also keeps interjecting himself when Tommy Young’s back is turned, which causes Jesse Ventura to cry foul on commentary. </p><p> </p><p> Pillman gets caught, literally, and dropped with a brutal powerslam from a springboard crossbody attempt on Hawk. The challengers take him apart piece by piece, the crowd groaning in agony along with “The Loose Cannon” with each vicious slam and smash he takes. Tommy Young gets caught in the wrong place at the wrong time, and he gets hit with an Animal clothesline that was meant to take Brian’s head off! With Young down, Hawk and Austin rush into the ring, and it’s a wild brawl! Austin uses a low blow to take all the steam out of Hawk, and he turns around to drill him with the Stunner – but Dusty Rhodes hits him with a title belt! Austin drops, and Dusty shoves him out of the ring. He calls for the Road Warriors to lift Pillman into the Doomsday Device, but somebody isn’t able to take it anymore…</p><p> </p><p> Despite pleas from commentary, into the ring rushes Jesse Ventura!! He has a chair, and he smacks it across the back of Animal! As Jesse goes and shoves Dusty, the two leave the ring as Austin pulls Hawk off the turnbuckle. The crowd actually start a small “Body, Body, Body” chant as he argues with Rhodes outside the ring, but inside the ring, Brian Pillman has rolled up Animal! Tommy Young! He’s right there – 1! 2! 3! The champions retain! The champions retain, and it’s thanks to their biggest fan, Jesse Ventura! Jesse helps the champs grab their titles, and the three head up the ramp and away from the fuming Road Warriors, as Dusty kicks the bottom rope in anger!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winners in 15:34 and still WCW World Tag Team champions: Steve Austin and Brian Pillman</em></p><p><em> Rating: B+</em></p></div><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/NickBockwinkel.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> After a commercial break, we’re joined in the ring by WCW Commissioner Nick Bockwinkel. He says that due to his actions in the previous match, it is with heavy heart that he is relieving Jesse “The Body” Ventura from commentary, and from WCW in general. Bockwinkel says that he cannot have his announcers playing favorites like that, jumping into the ring and influencing the outcome of matches; and thus, next week and at World War 3, we will have a new commentary member replacing “The Body”, his close personal friend “The American Outlaw” Dusty Rhodes! Tony asks how Dusty will be impartial, being a member of the Kings of Wrestling! Heenan audibly groans, saying that Nick is abusing his powers yet again. Before he goes, Nick adds that next week, the World Tag Team titles WILL be defended, twenty-four hours from World War 3 on WCW Saturday Night, when Steve Austin and Brian Pillman take on the number one contenders – Rick and Scott, the Steiner Brothers! Nick thanks the fans, saying that up next we have a real interview for you all to watch, before leaving the ring. Tony wonders what Harlem Heat will think of Nick giving the Steiner Brothers the next Tag title shot.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HulkHogan2.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/RoddyPiper.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/ScottHall.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/GeneOkerlund.jpg</span> </div><p></p><p></p><p> On their way to the ring, Hollywood and “Hot Rod” high five Nick Bockwinkel, as Scott Hall comes in from the crowd. “Mean” Gene enters the ring, rolling his eyes and muttering about why he got stuck doing this job. He turns to Scott Hall first, asking the “Hired Man” why he is out here working with the bottom of the barrel like these two guys. Hogan and Piper voice displeasure at being called out like that, but Hall answers by calling Gene stupid; “Ain’t you boys got it yet? I work for tha’ green, chico. Whoever got the most machismo, got Scott Hall for tha’ night.” He says that is why he’s in this match against “ol’ man Flair” next week, because he is going to throw a huge party once he gets that twenty grand. Gene says he hopes Hall isn’t making the guest list up before winning the money or it could be a party with only beer nuts. Roddy Piper steps to the microphone next, and he begs the question of “How many times do ya hafta beat a man before he goes away?” Piper says that win, lose, or draw, he is done with Martel and Santana next week, because he has better things to do with his time than spend it facing the same guy month after month, just because the guy isn’t in his league. “It don’t matter if ya turn to your ex-lover and make it a tag match, you’re not high enough in the deck to bring the ‘Hot Scot’ down, and so next week, we’ll take care of you two and then you can head to Quebec or Tijuana and drink yourselves into your own respective comas.”</p><p> </p><p> Hollywood goes last, and he laughs off any “big surprise” that Dustin Rhodes could bring to World War 3. He says that after being to the top of the mountain as many years as he’s been, nothing surprises him anymore. He adds that even with a surprise, the surprise had better be that he’s bringing along a cannon because there’s no other way for “Daddy’s boy” to hold Hollywood down for a three count. He closes by saying that Dustin can bring along friends, allies, trainers, grandparents, or the Dallas Cowboys, and it won’t matter because there is no way that he can defeat the Kings of Wrestling!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B+</em></p><p><em> Notes: Gene improvised well with the three, and Roddy did superb at it this week, really getting the crowd fired up.</em></p></div><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWMainEvent-1.jpg</span><p> <strong>WCW Main Event</strong></p><p> <em>Commentary: Gordon Solie, Tony Schiavone, Eric Bischoff</em></p><p><em> Rating: C-</em></p><p> </p><p> Gordon, Tony, and Eric talk about what action we have for you tonight on WCW Main Event! Tony talks about how this match came about, with Terry Funk goading Dusty Rhodes into putting the titles on the line. Dusty says that he wasn’t goaded into anything, that he has faith in his boys to pull off the win. He blatantly cheers his team on, as Bobby wonders if they can win a match without him being at ringside. Orndorff and Meng are strong champions even without their manager, as they take Cactus apart in their corner for much of the match. Meng’s strikes and Orndorff’s holds are a vicious combination for any challengers to overcome, but Cactus stands up to the onslaught, finally making the tag to Terry! Funk comes in a house of fire, putting Paul on his back with a huge back body drop and tumbling down around the ring with Meng! Funk gets back into the ring along with the legal man Orndorff, and Paul sends Funk to the ropes, looking for a receipt for the back body drop. But Funk makes a blind tag, and as Paul puts his head down, Cactus runs in and grabs him for a double arm DDT! Terry rushes Meng and tackles him aside, and Mark Curtis is there – 1! 2! Rhodes has to calm Hawk and Animal after that comment, turning to Hogan to say that he doesn’t need to worry, the Warriors are the baddest of the bad, and they’ll beat them pretty boys into the ground. Hogan says they better; if they can’t do it, maybe he should give Bill and Barry a call, see if they want to put on some some face paint again and do a better job! Austin looks down at the hand of Scott, and he slaps it, not shaking it. Dusty jumps all over that as well, saying that’s the sorta lack of respect that Austin is gonna teach all the kids watching at home, and why Nick is trying to get rid of him like he is. Bobby says that it’s horrible the lessons kids can learn from watching wrestling; offering handshakes, sticking up for your former friends, or spraypainting people’s backs. Everyone in the match has a chance that they act both heroically and heelish, and the crowd cheer for all of it. The great tag team action reaches a fever pitch when Rick and Scott both start throwing the champions around with suplexes, until Austin and Pillman take the heel route of climbing out of the ring to regroup. The champions take over when Pillman enters the ring, as he unscrupulously rakes Rick’s eyes, drawing him into their corner and doing damage alongside Austin. The whole match falls apart when a dazed Rick ducks a clothesline from Pillman and grabs him for a belly to belly suplex, as Brian’s feet catch Randy Anderson in the head! At that point, not only do all four men climb into the ring to do battle, but out run the Road Warriors! Out run Harlem Heat! It’s a massive donnybrook in the ring, and as everyone brawls, somewhere in the chaos Rick Steiner goes down from a Booker T missile dropkick! As people brawl up the aisle, Brian is able to drape an arm over “The Dog-Faced Gremlin” and Randy Anderson barely comes to long enough to count the pinfall! Nick says that both brothers have good points, and obviously they’re very strong points. He says that he can’t just gift them a title match, because then the Steiners will cry foul after what happened out there earlier; but what he can do, is that in one week’s time at The Omni, he will make a match between the Steiner Brothers and Harlem Heat to determine the new number one contenders for the World Tag Team championships! He even adds that he gives his word, the Road Warriors will not interrupt their match this time. The Heat say they can dig that, and they walk away, leaving Nick to breathe a sigh of relief. Another huge match added for next week’s WCW Saturday Night!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>We go to the backstage before a commercial break, first seeing a split screen of “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, shimmering sequined robe ready to go, as he is getting prepped to walk out; juxtaposed with partner Sting on the opposite side of the screen, checking his facepaint at the last minute in a nearby mirror, before screaming that it’s time to go! The next split screen shows Hollywood Hogan and The Queen, as Hogan shoulders the World Heavyweight title on his way out of the KoW locker room; and “The Monster” Vader on the other side, throwing punches at a wall while Sonny Onoo takes a few photos on his disposable camera. Anderson and Gordy start the match, a preview for their United States title match at World War 3. The two seem to get into it, Gordy using his size and strength to overpower Anderson and shove him away from a lockup, but Arn outmaneuvers the champion on another lockup and places him in a hammerlock. Arn turns it into a top wristlock and pulls Terry into his corner, where he tags in Ric Flair, who comes in and works over the shoulder with an elbow to Gordy’s shoulder blade! Flair takes over the wristlock, and he chops Gordy, “Woooo!”ing to the crowd as he does! Flair puts on the wristlock again, and this time he tags in “The Dragon”! Steamboat comes in off the top rope with an overhead chop to the shoulder, before hooking a deep arm drag and putting on an arm bar! Gordy starts to work his way up to his feet, using an eye rake to escape the arm bar. He sends Steamboat into the ropes, but Ricky ducks a clothesline, and when Gordy turns around he gets sent down with another arm drag! Steamboat pops right up and hits the rising champion with a dropkick! He puts on another wristlock and drags him into the corner to tag in the challenger for the World Heavyweight title tomorrow night, Dustin Rhodes! Dustin comes off the middle turnbuckle with a double axe handle before sending Gordy into the ropes. Dustin looks ready to pop up with a dropkick, but Terry is able to hold onto Vader’s arm, and he reverses gears, sliding out of the ring as the crowd boos. Gordy’s partners look at him, but before they can do anything, Steamboat, Sting, and Dustin are right in front of them and they dropkick the other four men off of the apron! The crowd go crazy now, as all five of WCW’s favorite sons yell and pump their arms, firing up the Indianapolis audience! Sting and Flair “Wooooo!” and “Owwwww!” at one another in the ring, while Steamboat takes a martial arts stance toward their enemies, and Arn and Dustin yell to the crowd. Hogan, Savage, Vader, Luger, and Gordy all commune on the outside with their managers, getting a game plan formed as we go to commercial break, Schiavone saying to stay with us folks, the tape machines are rolling in case the match ends during the break!</p><p> </p><p> When we come back from break, Dustin is being held down in a rear chinlock by the large bicep of Lex Luger, as Tony fills everyone in on what happened during the break, that Gordy tagged out to Randy Savage, and Luger came in off a blind tag and leveled “The Natural” with a clothesline from behind. Dusty says that this is why Dustin doesn’t have a chance at World War 3, what he tried to tell him; he’s just not experienced enough to expect tricks like that from people. Bobby quips that Dusty has been a little too trusting in his own career a few times, but he ignores Heenan. Lex tags out to Hollywood, who gladly enters the ring with his opponent in twenty-four hours is down on the mat. Hogan taunts Rhodes, calling him a dumb kid, while he puts the boots to him. Tony wonders if Hogan would purposely try to hurt Dustin in this one in order to get an edge at the pay-per-view when they go one-on-one, and Dusty says that he wouldn’t <em>want</em> Hogan to, but he knows that he would. Tony asks if Dusty would condone such a thing, and Dusty says that as a father, no; but he tried to tell Dustin not to take the match, and so if it happens, it’s on Dustin. Tony’s reply is that he’s sick to his stomach, as Hogan rakes Dustin’s face with his boot laces! He locks on a surfboard stretch, driving his knee into the back of Dustin while pulling back on his arms to work over his pectoral muscles. Hogan spits at Dustin’s teammates while he holds him, causing Flair and Sting to enter the ring, and Tommy Young goes over to stop them – giving an opening for Savage to slip into the ring and stomp on Dustin’s midsection a few times! Everyone gets back out of the ring, as Hogan lets up and shoves Rhodes into the turnbuckle, holding his face and talking trash on him before slamming a forearm into Dustin’s chest. Hollywood turns around and gloats, taking Tommy Young aside and letting Dustin get picked apart by the wolves in the corner! Luger and Gordy pound away on Dustin’s ribs and kidneys while Savage chokes him with the tag rope! Tony again asks Dusty how he can watch his own son, his flesh and blood go through this at the hands of his companions, and Bobby makes a sharp comment about snakes lying together, but Dusty does the best he can to just ignore both of them. Hogan tags out to Savage then, who punches Rhodes down to the mat and starts working him over. From Savage, it goes to Luger, to Gordy, and back to Hogan again… and Bobby starts to actively wonder why they aren’t tagging in Vader? He says that Vader keeps reaching for the tag, but nobody gives it to him. Luger is in the ring, and he shoves Dustin against the ropes, letting him come back and hits him with a knee in the midsection. He turns Dustin around and shoves him into the ropes, looking to connect with a shot to the back, but Rhodes just slumps against the ropes. Lex comes up behind him and looks like he’s going to pull him away, possibly into the Rack. But Dustin’s leg shoots backward – low blow! Tommy Young didn’t see it, and Luger goes down! Bobby says that he hit him right in the “Total Package”! Dusty cries foul, saying that he learned that from rats like Flair and Anderson! Dustin starts crawling, ever so slowly crawling, as the crowd cheer him on! All four of his partners have their hands outstretched to tag in! Luger gets to the tag first, and Dustin crawls over and… he gets tagged by an elbow driven into his spine by Savage! “The Macho Man” gets up and does a spin around, pointing and yelling at the good guys. He picks Dustin up and starts setting him up for a belly-to-back suplex. He lifts Dustin – but Rhodes shifts his weight and drills Savage with a desperation bulldog! Dustin starts crawling toward the ropes again – and Savage heads toward his corner as well. Nobody is there to stop him, and the crowd comes unglued when <strong>Dustin tags in The Stinger</strong>!!!</p><p> </p><p> Sting rushes into the ring, and the other corner empties; Lex Luger, Terry Gordy, and Randy Savage all try to rush him, but Sting is not only fresh but hot and ready to go, along with all kinds of other great adjectives that mean he fights off all three of them, purposely taking some extra time to punish Luger! Hogan drops down off the ring apron, and Sting motions for the champion to come on into the ring! Tommy loses all semblance of order as everyone starts brawling everywhere – Anderson and Gordy are going at it outside the ring, and Steamboat leaps over the top rope to hit Savage with a flying plancha! Out in the darkness of the aisle, Ric Flair is fighting with Scott Hall! Dustin Rhodes is taking a breather, but he’s quickly back into the thick of things, throwing punches with Terry Gordy, Tony noting that there is no love lost between Dustin and the Stud Stable! They fight out toward the crowd, and Steve Austin appears to hit Gordy with a likely pre-emptied beer can! Brian Pillman is dressed as a vendor, and he smacks Randy Savage with the popcorn tray!</p><p> </p><p> But inside the ring, Sting is fighting for his life – before Savage left the ring, Vader had forcibly grabbed him and tagged himself into the match! “The Monster” dominates from the second he enters the match, but Sting fights back as best as he can. Sting sends Vader into the turnbuckle and charges, looking for a Stinger Splash! But Vader catches him in mid-air! Vader drills the face painted star into the mat with a vicious powerslam, before turning and heading up the turnbuckles and hitting a Vader Bomb! He doesn’t cover, instead pulling Sting off the mat and, after making a throat cutting motion, he drops Sting with a huge powerbomb! Vader rolls Sting’s legs up, and Tommy Young makes the count! 1! 2! 3! “The Monster” is victorious, and he seems to be the only one standing tall at the end! Tony begs the question, is this what will happen at the end of World War 3? </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winners in 22:09: Vader, Hollywood Hogan, Randy Savage, Lex Luger, and Terry Gordy</em></p><p><em> Rating: B+</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> As “The American Outlaw” leaves commentary to head down to the ring, Tony and Bobby survey the carnage left in the wake of the main event. Savage, Hall, Flair, Anderson, Austin, Pillman, and Gordy are all gone, having fought their way to the back; Sting remains laid out in the ring, finally rolling away, as Lex Luger walk away from his former partner and now enemy, shaking his head, with Rick Rude at his side. Vader, victorious, growls at the audience as Onoo is all smiles, shouting that he’s the man! Steamboat starts helping Sting out of the arena, but Hogan stays in the ring. He and Dusty corner Dustin Rhodes, saying that his team couldn’t even win this match, what could he even bring along to World War 3 to help him? Dustin finally gets fed up, and he gets a microphone… but before he can say anything, Hollywood slaps him across the face!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong><em>AND THEN IT HAPPENS!!</em></strong></span></p><p> </p><p> <iframe width="320" height="240" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/X9FyQNx8oyU?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Loud guitar! The odds are even, and now Dustin slaps Hollywood across the face! Dusty backs down, and he grabs Hogan and drags him out of the ring along with him! Hollywood complains the whole way up the aisle, saying he could take him; but Dusty keeps pulling him away, looking terrified! Magnum raises Dustin’s hand in the ring, and the crowd go crazy! Tony and Bobby are going nuts, Schiavone saying that anyone who didn’t think Dustin had a chance before, the critics have just gone silent! As the two play to the crowd in the ring, Tony tells everyone to call their cable company RIGHT NOW and order World War 3, until then, goodnight fans – MAGNUM TA!!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B+</em> </p><img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/eek.png.0e09df00fa222c85760b9bc1700b5405.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Gimmick and Turn notes:<p> Magnum TA’s gimmick has debuted as Old School Face (Cool), and it rated 94! </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWlogo.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p>

I don't mean to make it sound like I'm blowing smoke or anything, but I'll freely admit I'm a mark for myself a bit; I'm very excited for getting it done for you guys!</p>

Took me a week but I finally finished reading this from start to finish. Great diary so far. I must say I hope the show in worcester was a sell out. Im a season ticket holder to their ahl hockey team there amd capacity is around 7000. Ive been trying to think of who are the two high flying wrestlers coming from wwf. I can only think of 123 kid, mr waltman. One thing I'd like in yout monthly updates is the reign length of the champions. How long has hart been world champion up north etc. Also, what is the fourth promotion in the states? I see smokey at 3 and ecw at 5. Keep it up

Though in game, the capacity is 10k.</p><p> </p><p> Thanks for the feedback on the monthly update, I'll start putting that in. As for Bret specifically, he's held the belt since the start of the game, so that would leave his reign as having been the same since WrestleMania X. We go around the screaming crowd, seeing a sign in the distance that says “THIS MEANS WAR!” and “In the end, there can be only one!” until we finally zoom in on Tony and his broadcast colleague tonight, “The American Outlaw” Dusty Rhodes. Tony seems to be making the most of this new partnership ever since the public firing of Jesse Ventura two weeks ago, and he says that there will be a lot of great action tonight, but two things stand out the most: the World Heavyweight title match between Dusty’s colleague and his son, Hollywood Hogan taking on Dustin Rhodes, and the reason we’re all here, the three ring, sixty man battle royal that is World War 3! Dusty says that he can’t wait for both of those matches, he wants to see them all as a WCW broadcaster, as a fan, and as a member of the elite Kings of Wrestling, he is very interested in what the whole night will bring. As music starts to play in the background, Tony says that we’re done talking about it, let’s get right down to the action, and the United States championship match!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: B-</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWUS.jpg</span><p> <span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/TerryGordy.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/RobertFuller.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/ArnAnderson.jpg</span></p><p> <strong>WCW United States Heavyweight Championship</strong></p><p><strong> Terry Gordy w/Colonel Robert Parker vs. “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:8px;">Time Limit: 45:00</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:8px;"> Referee: Randy Anderson</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> We begin the show with the United States Heavyweight championship, giving the spotlight to a relatively minor feud that has some major players in it. These two are guys who know how to wrestle and wrestle well, and it shows as they put on a clinic for the New York crowd. The old school psychology is on full display, as both men seem to start slowly in order to save themselves for later in the night, which is pointed out by Tony. Eventually Gordy throws this out the window, however, blasting Anderson with a vicious lariat out of nowhere, but “The Enforcer” is fortunate and intelligent enough to find his way to the ropes in order to not get pinned. The end of the match leaves a sour taste in fans’ mouths though, as Colonel Parker tries to distract Randy Anderson, but Randy turns around in time to see Gordy hammer Arn in the face with the US title itself, which draws an instant disqualification. The crowd boo Terry and Parker loudly on their way out of the arena, and when he comes back around Anderson looks a bit upset in the ring. Dusty tells him that as a fan, a spectator, Tony is right; but as a wrestler, it is more difficult having to prepare to face two, three, or fifty-nine other men at once. Kip does good in the early going, hitting a succession of big strikes and slams on Wright and Badd to take over for a time, but the teamwork edge of Alex and Johnny comes into play as they come back with double teams on Kip. Dusty cries foul, that this match is completely unfair to Kip, but he still shows bursts of being in control all through the match. Wright and Badd seem awkward around one another, as Johnny still seems like he’s trying to make Alex trust him again with each blow on Kip. The end of the match comes as Badd hits the Diss That Don’t Miss on Kip, putting him down and Johnny right on top of the world, almost able to win the match with a simple pinfall. He doesn’t get the chance though, as Alex grabs him from behind and pulls into his German Suplex! Wright seems to be telling him it was every man for himself, and Alex shows that he trusts Badd again by extending his hand. Johnny looks at it for a minute… before he lays Wright out with a Diss That Don’t Miss! Teddy Long is stunned, and he drops to Wright’s side, asking Badd what is wrong with him! The fans boo loudly, as Tony accuses Dusty and the KoW of perpetrating this young team breaking up. Dusty says that the Kings had nothing to do with it, it was all brought on by Wright’s lack of trust when Badd said he wasn’t in the Kings, and apparently by Badd’s jealousy and wanting gold. Jimmy Hart on the outside points out a sign saying “The Kings will Strike down The Force” giving the fan a thumbs up. Martel and Santana’s tag experience plays off very, very well here, as the two tag in and out constantly, keeping Rogers worn down; but eventually Tito gets caught and pulled away, Rogers and Piper doing all they can to put him away. A desperation flying forearm drops Piper though, and when both men make the tag, it’s Martel who is able to use his speed and ability to wrap Bubba up with a small package to get his team the victory in a well-done, hard-fought match!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winners in 9:50: Rick Martel & Tito Santana</em></p><p><em> Rating: B</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> The bell has sounded and the match is done, but one man is still hot and furious; after Rick Martel slides out of the ring, the winners embrace on the outside. Chairs are used by both men, as is a giant wrench that Cactus pulls out from under the ring; but he ends up getting smashed in the face with it, bleeding slightly from his eyebrow. Vader even finds a piece of steel guardrail, which he simply uses brute strength to hurl Cactus’s body onto! Jack fights back though, and after knocking Vader silly for a moment with a flurry of forearms, Cactus grabs the guardrail and suplexes it onto Vader! A sign is being held into the frame that says “I want a Cactus Jack & Coke!” which makes Dusty chuckle. As the match wears on, Vader seems to be getting frustrated, and he threatens to powerbomb Jack off the ring apron to the floor! But Cactus is able to hold onto the ropes long enough to hit a low blow, and he grabs Vader to hit a bulldog off the apron instead! And when Vader staggers to his feet, Cactus is already on the apron again, and he runs the apron before leaping off and flipping in mid-air, using his whole body as a weapon to strike Vader! Sonny Onoo tries to help Vader up, but he’s too small to lift “The Monster” off the ground – Jack climbs to his feet, is using the turnbuckle post to stand up – Curtis counts ten! Tony puts over Ric’s adaptability though, saying that he thinks Flair can adapt to any situation anybody puts in front of him. These two guys really seem to have a chemistry against one another, and that seems to be in their favor yet again as they deliver a very good match. Ric Flair may not be Shawn Michaels in terms of high flying skill, but he has quite a few good tricks up his sleeve in this one, using the ladder to go after Hall’s legs quite often. He wraps Hall’s knee around the rung of the ladder and pulls, he even puts Hall’s leg in the ladder and slams the other side of it down on his knee! Hall comes back often though, and he fights back just as fiercely, Dusty saying that is what the smell of money does for Scott, and that money is hanging high above the ring. Dusty says that he’s been talking to Scott backstage as of late (Tony asking if it’s because Rhodes has been handling the KoW’s payment to him) and he says that Hall has given him a list of new names for his moves. He rattles them off throughout the match; at one point Flair takes a dive off the middle rung of the ladder at Hall, but he catches him and hits a fallaway slam, as Dusty shrieks that Hall is calling that the Payout! Flair gets set up on the turnbuckle a few moments later, and Hall drops back with a belly-to-back suplex, which Rhodes says is called the Blank Check. Finally Hall starts setting up for what Dusty says is the Financial Edge, but Flair drops to a knee and hits a low blow! He trips Hall up and slaps on a figure four leglock! Scott is grabbing at the ropes, but there’s no disqualification, so Flair has no reason to release the hold – even grabbing the ropes himself to apply more pressure! Scott even uses the ropes to drag himself out of the ring, trying to make Flair release the move; but he doesn’t, and Flair holds the maneuver on tightly the whole way down to the arena floor! Flair is able to reach back under the ring, and as Hall sits up to try and release some pressure, Flair smashes him in the forehead with a steel chair! Scott drops to his back, and Flair releases the hold. He gets up and slides into the ring, going straight up the ladder! Hall is slow to get back to his feet, and he gets into the ring and reaches the ladder – just as Flair pulls down the money bag! “The Nature Boy” has done it, he kept his money, and Scott Hall gets nothing!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winner in 14:30: Ric Flair</em></p><p><em> Rating: B</em></p></div><p></p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/TonySchiavone.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/DustyRhodes2.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/GeneOkerlund.jpg</span> </div><p></p><p></p><p> Tony and Dusty are joined by “Mean” Gene, and the three talk about how we’ve seen a lot of both great and unusual action so far, but nothing will have ever prepared any of us for World War 3! As Tony says that they have replaced Vader in the match officially, the broadcast team then discuss who some of their favorites for the match are, Tony citing that Sting seems to have the most to win in this one. Dusty backs “Hot Rod” Roddy Piper, saying that he’s been in all kind of battle royals over the years, and his experience edge over most in the match will be a deciding factor – though he also says that one of his Road Warriors could very likely come out the winner. Gene goes with Ric Flair, saying that he’s seen Flair win battle royals with less important stakes in the past, and he feels that Flair’s conditioning, experience, and – pardon the pun – his nature of having to be the best will bring him to the promised land. Hawk is full speed ahead power in his ring, wasting no time in taking out the only team of the match, Stars ‘n Stripes, with his vicious attacks, as Dusty cheers him on. Tony asks if the KoW members in ring one, Hawk, Bubba, Meng, and Savage, will be able to work together, what with Savage looking to get a World title shot if he wins. Dusty, annoyed, says that Randy is a free spirit, but he’ll do the right thing when the time comes. Lord Regal is taunting JPL from the other ring, laughing at how the random drawing has left them in separate rings. Johnny B. Badd is getting regular boos after what happened earlier, as he grapples with Scott Armstrong. Morton and Prichard are at one another’s throats, their old rivalry finding its way to this stage. Ric Flair trades punches with Hawk in one side of the ring, “The Nature Boy” using quick movements to not get decimated by the Road Warrior. Regal stops his laughing when from his side, Juventud springs off the middle rope on the adjacent corner to Regal and hits him with a dropkick that puts him down on the outside! JPL thanks him for getting in a good shot, and Regal’s face is one of disdain and hatred as he watches the two shake hands briefly before going back to their respective rings. Funk and Meng are going at it, Meng not taking it well that Terry and Cactus took the US Tag titles from him last night. Terry Taylor appears to be glancing at a woman in the crowd, when Brian Pillman sneaks up and dumps him over the top. Not missing a beat, he goes straight over to her in the crowd and starts flirting from a closer proximity. Booker and Hawk have found one another, as have Pillman and Savage. “The Loose Cannon” and “The Macho Man” are tearing into one another as the ring begins to filter out, as “The Guardian Angel” dumps Scott Armstrong in short order, before levelling Ricky Morton with a powerslam. Ric Flair chops away at Waylon Mercy in the corner, turning the big man’s chest red under his tank top. Following a big left hand from Badd, Tom Prichard goes sailing over the top rope. Johnny tries to give the same to Terry Funk, but Funk ducks and fires back with his own lefts. Rogers and Meng form a scary team, but Morton keeps up his never-say-die attitude from all those years of tag team matches by hanging onto the ropes and not going out. Craig Pittman tries to use his Marines training to sneak in on Booker T and eliminate him, but Booker doesn’t let him, and he blasts “Pitbull” out with a Harlem Sidekick. With the help of Terry Funk, Ric Flair tosses Mercy out, and then the two old rivals go after one another. Juvi’s flying around gives him an edge, as he briefly climbs into ring two, double springboarding off both sets of ropes before hitting Rogers with a big dropkick! Tony notes how people have kept trying to toss Guerrera out, but he keeps staying on the apron and slipping back into the ring. Pillman tries to hit his Loaded Gun standing tornado DDT on Savage, but when he prepares the jump, Meng hits him with a hard savate kick! Savage holds onto Brian’s waist, and he pushes him out over the top rope! Dusty cheers, saying that we will have no more of “The Loose Cannon” tonight! Savage goes to Meng and gives him a pat on the back, thanking him for the support – but as Meng turns his back, he gets tossed over the top, by Savage! Rogers comes over to ask him what he’s doing, when Savage throws him over as well! Terry Funk gets dumped out by Flair, who immediately chops Booker T across the chest. A high dropkick from Morton sends an off-balance Booker out. Tony says that Morton’s experience and heart could take him far in this, it already has taken him further than most would likely have expected. Johnny throws Juventud over the top, but he stays on the apron again, before Juvi takes to the air again, springboarding in and hitting Badd with a diving headscissors from the top rope! But Hawk takes his masked head off with a vicious clothesline! Guerrera is lifted completely off the ground and muscled over Hawk’s head, and he gets tossed out of the ring on top of Rick Martel, Tito Santana, Disco Inferno, and Alex Wright as they were exiting the ringside area! Johnny B. Badd comes back up, but a clothesline from Randy Savage puts him out of the match, leaving only four people remaining: Ric Flair, Randy Savage, Ricky Morton, and Hawk. Tony says that Hawk cannot trust Savage, as he already eliminated two fellow KoW members, and Dusty says he’s pulling for Hawk to throw out either Flair or Morton. The four men get into a teaming situation, however, as Hawk and Savage go after Flair and Morton. The KoW members whip Flair and Morton across the ring at one another, but they adjust in mid-run and go past one another, Flair hitting Savage with a clothesline to the mat and Morton hitting a dropkick on Hawk! The crowd on this side of the arena cheer as the two both try to eliminate their men, but referees stop things when Morton backs off and rushes at Hawk, who ducks and throws him out!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Ring #2: “Das Wunderkind” Alex Wright, “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson, Cactus Jack, California Kip, Dean Malenko, Disco Inferno, Eddie Guerrero, Ichii Yazaki, JPL, Lance Storm, “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff, “Playmaker” Paul Roma, Rey Mysterio Jr., Rick Martel, “Dog-Faced Gremlin” Rick Steiner, Ron Simmons, Scott Stud, Tex Slazenger, Tito Santana, “The Monster” Vader</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> The ring is engulfed with the continuing war between Cactus Jack and Vader, with commentary surprised that either man is even still able to stand following their match earlier. The same is said of JPL, but he is visibly beaten down and tired after the brutal attack earlier from Regal’s Ruthless Roundtable. Rick Martel goes at it with California Kip, and Paul Orndorff puts his back to a corner so nobody can sneak up on the veteran. Alex goes at it with anybody who comes near him, as Yazaki is getting double teamed by Malenko and Storm. Tito Santana, still recovering from the attack earlier by Rogers, eliminates Tex Slazenger with some quick thinking and faster moving, sliding out of the way when the big Texan tried for a running attack. Santana and Martel team up then to face off with the Shooters, as Rick Steiner dumps Scott Stud out. The former members of Pretty Wonderful bump into one another, but they don’t face off, turning and going after different men instead. JPL is swinging at ring one, as Lord Regal taunts him from there. Ron Simmons is a house of fire, as he charges in and eliminates both Malenko and Storm at once, before beginning a battle of brute strength with Steiner. Vader and Jack are trying to throw one another out, but neither man seem able to do so. As Eddie Guerrero finishes fighting across rings with Art Barr, he begins fighting with fellow AAA star Rey Mysterio Jr. Probably the most amusing part of the match comes when Disco Inferno and Alex Wright come upon one another, and the two break out into a dance off. JPL battles with Orndorff, but his earlier injuries catch up with him, and “Mr. Wonderful” is able to hook his leg and toss the young star out. Yazaki makes the mistake of coming up on the Vader and Cactus battle, and both of them throw him out, punctuating just how badly they want to go at one another. Rick Steiner and Ron Simmons battle at the ropes, trying to toss one another, but another man, who had kept his head down thus far, Arn Anderson, throws both of them out! Once Vader finally gets the better of Cactus, however, that’s when the ring becomes a war. Vader instantly smashes friends and partners Martel and Santana, dumping them both with ease. He also jumps “Das Wunderkind” by nailing him with a clothesline to send him over the top. Disco looks like he wants to get funky, but as Tony says, this is the wrong man to want to dance, the only dance Vader knows is pain; and that’s what he unleashes. Disco grabs Vader’s arm to dance with him, sliding his arms and trying to goad Vader to do the same – but he gets a short-arm clothesline for his troubles, and Vader literally pulls him off the mat by the wrist and hurls him over the top rope all in one motion! Anderson dumps Kip over the top after the KoW member misses a big splash in the corner. From there, the final five men, even Orndorff, decide that Vader is the biggest threat of the ring. Arn, Orndorff, Roma, Rey, and Eddie give it all they have, and they even get Vader teetering on the top rope, but Vader fights back with kicks and elbows, tossing the “Playmaker” out! The alliance now down by one, everyone goes all out; Arn and Orndorff both go for each of Vader’s knees, while both Guerrero and Mysterio hit stereo dropkicks, trying to cause Vader to stumble over the ropes! They try again to eliminate him, but they still can’t get him – “The Monster” not only hangs on, but in his rush of attacking his attackers, he throws out Paul with just one hard right punch! Mysterio comes up with the best idea, going into ring one and springboarding off of both sets of ropes, trying to hit a hurricanrana on Vader – but he gets flattened by a huge powerbomb! Dusty says that one more man out of this ring will mean the final, as this is the last ring to still be fighting. Anderson tries to direct traffic, but seemingly out of nowhere, Guerrero picks up Rey and shoves him over!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Ring #3: Art Barr, BG Armstrong, “Beautiful” Bobby Eaton, Brad Armstrong, Hakushi, “Gigolo” Jimmy Del Ray, “Total Package” Lex Luger, Masuku Shonen, Psicosis, Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat, Road Warrior Animal, Robert Gibson, “Hot Rod” Roddy Piper, Scott Steiner, Shanghai Pierce, Steve Austin, Stevie Ray, Sting, Terry Gordy, and Tracy Smothers </em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Ring number three has seen two things happen immediately: Sting and Steve Austin are both going right at everyone else. Tony talks about how Sting is out to get rid of his clause about not having a World title shot, while Austin is more concerned about throwing out people and counting out beer to drink after the match. Austin and Sting are like houses of fire, as Austin eliminates Shanghai Pierce and Tracy Smothers right away, and Sting tosses out Del Ray and Psicosis. Lex Luger brawls with Scott Steiner, likely due to some hostilities from their match last week on Saturday Night. Animal and Stevie Ray battle with one another, as do Piper and Gibson. “The Dragon” and Bobby team up to fight with the three members of the Stud Stable, and the masked New-Japan representative backs up with Hakushi to strike together. Art Barr is fighting across the ring against Eddie Guerrero in ring two, until Austin interjects himself and tosses Barr down to the floor. Masuku Shonen and Hakushi try to jump Austin, but he back drops Hakushi out, and clotheslines Shonen over the top as well! Sting has fought his way to Luger, and the two enemies are going blow-for-blow amid all the other chaos in the ring. Steamboat and Piper are fighting to throw one another out, and Eaton has teamed up with former enemy Robert Gibson to try and eliminate the US champion. The Armstrong Brothers help him to stay in the ring, keeping with strength in numbers. A three way fight is going on in the corner, as Scott Steiner has found Stevie Ray and Animal in the match, and the three warring men are trying to eliminate one another. The Stud Stable finally overpower their attackers, sending “Beautiful” Bobby up and to the floor, and Gibson follows via a Gordy lariat. The Stable then move on to Steve Austin – but it’s a huge mistake, as he hits both Armstrongs with the Stunner, and Steamboat comes along behind him and helps clothesline both of them out! Roddy Piper helps out his fellow King of Wrestling to eliminate Scott and Stevie, as Gordy and Austin go at one another, their feud still burning after their past two matches. Dusty actively cheers for Gordy, saying that Austin needs stopped right now. Luger is trying to throw Sting out, but he can’t get “The Stinger” to quit and fall out. Sting finally gets out of his grasp, and in one slick motion, hip tosses “The Total Package” out of the ring! Sting and Steamboat then team up, taking it to the KoW. Austin ducks under a lariat, and he back drops the US champion out, just as Animal gets hurled over the top by Steamboat and Sting! There are four men left in the ring, and Roddy Piper seems all alone… but he isn’t going down without a fight. From the outside, Paul Orndorff slips a small hammer into the ring, and Piper grabs it; and he goes straight after Sting, smashing his knee with it! Sting goes down on the mat, and Steamboat drops to his aid. Austin ends up being the one, as he kicks Piper in the stomach, flips him off, and nails him with a Stunner. Steve lifts him off the mat and tosses Roddy over the top, and we have our three winners of this ring – but Sting is down and hurt, and Piper is laughing about it all the way to the back.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><em>Center Ring: “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage vs. “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair vs. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat vs. Road Warrior Hawk vs. Steve Austin vs. Sting vs. “The Monster” Vader</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> As Dusty and Tony take note of who is left in the match, Rhodes says that he’s pulling for his boy Hawk now. Schiavone says that Vader has been very impressive, as has Steve Austin, both men having thrown eight people out of their respective rings. He also notes that there are a lot of alliances in this match, Flair and Anderson being the biggest one. Dusty says that Vader is like an island, and anyone who goes after him will get crushed by that island quickly. Sting’s knee is visibly hurting still, but he refuses to take time away from the match, telling the officials to ring the bell already! Vader rushes everyone immediately as the bell sounds, not giving anybody a chance to gather and go after him first. Hard punches and body checks all around for everybody, as the only man who stands in the way of “The Monster” without flinching whatsoever is Road Warrior Hawk! Hawk stands toe-to-toe with Vader, as Anderson and Flair sit back and watch on. Austin and Savage battle, with neither man getting an advantage as they throw punches at one another. Flair and Arn go after Sting and Steamboat, as old rivalries die hard, apparently. Flair kicks at Sting’s knee, as Tony puts over the “every man for himself” bit. As the four men go at it, a surprise comes at them as Eddie Guerrero flies in with a big crossbody attack on all four! Vader and Hawk are still at one another, as the big strong men try to throw one another out. Tony says that whoever wins that battle may be the winner of this one, as who will take either of them out then? </p><p> </p><p> Apparently other people can’t keep their hands out of the cookie jar, however, as Ric Flair gets smashed over the head with a steel chair from the outside – Scott Hall! Flair slumps to the mat, and Hall drops down from the ring apron when Anderson lunges at him. Flair tries to get back to his feet, but he staggers after the hard chair shot, and Sting finally grabs him and throws him out. Hall laughs on his way out of the arena, talking to a camera saying that was worth every penny. Steamboat tries to help Sting, but instead “The Stinger” helps Ricky to a punch, telling him that he doesn’t want help, he wants to win! The two fan favorites start brawling with one another, as Eddie takes Savage down with a rolling suplex. As for Hawk and Vader… as the two of them try to eliminate each other, out of left field they both get tossed out by Austin! Austin holds up both hands, showing ten – which Tony reiterates is great for Austin, as that means he’s up to ten beers after the show! Austin quickly tries to make it eleven, as he grabs Steamboat and throws him over – but “The Dragon” holds on, and he skins the cat back in; he then tries to throw Austin out, but he holds on, and he grabs Steamboat to pull him back out to meet him. Sting is sent over the top, but he lands on the apron as well, and now we have Steamboat, Austin, and Sting all outside the ring, teetering on the apron! Austin rushes at Sting, but “The Stinger” blocks the punch and fires back with one of his own! Austin turns around and Steamboat chops him across the chest! Austin ducks as both of them and causes the two to hit one another. Austin jumps back up in the midst, and he grabs “The Dragon” and hits a Stunner on the ring apron! Ricky falls off the side, and is eliminated!</p><p> </p><p> Everyone in the crowd can be heard breathing a sigh of relief when Sting slides back into the ring. Austin climbs back in as well, but gets taken off balance immediately from a dropkick by Guerrero! Anderson fights with Savage, as Sting takes a momentary breather. Guerrero starts trying to throw Austin out, as Tony says that would possibly make his career to eliminate one of the World Tag Team champions! Austin fights back with a rake of the eyes, but Eddie keeps on him, hooking the leg and trying to lift Austin out. Eddie gets some unexpected help – from Sting! “The Stinger” hits a big clothesline that puts three men out on the ring apron again! Dusty asks which man will fall first, as Austin looks ready to set up for the Stunner on Sting! But Anderson hits Austin with an elbow from inside the ring! Sting holds onto the ropes, and Austin drops to the floor! He curses on the ground, but gets up and leaves without any hassle. Inside the ring, Savage charges at Anderson, wanting to catch him from behind. But “The Enforcer” senses him coming, and Arn hoists Savage before planting him with the spinebuster! Off the top – Guerrero with a huge frog splash! Savage is down and out! Eddie is getting back to his feet, but wait – DDT from Anderson! Guerrero is down now too! Sting is back between the ropes again as Anderson picks up Guerrero and puts him out of the ring! We have our final three!</p><p> </p><p> Sting slaps at his sore knee as Anderson backs off to a corner to get his wind back. Savage is still down in the center of the ring, but he’s starting to come back again. The three are weary and battered from this marathon of a battle royal, but only one of them can come out on top yet. Sting strikes out first, going after the downed Savage. “The Macho Man” is still dazed from the dual attack from Arn and Eddie, so Sting looks to get him up and heave him out. Anderson comes to help, and with the two of them working at it, they each grab and leg and try to get Savage over the top. Randy still has some of his bearings though, and he holds onto the top rope with all he has. Sting does the same as he did with Austin, rushing forward and almost sacrificing himself with a clothesline – but this time, Anderson ducks, and only Savage and Sting fall to the ring apron! As the two climb to their feet, they punch at one another, going toe-to-toe there. “The Enforcer” comes over to attack them, but Savage catches him with a back elbow to the eye that puts him out of their way. Sting uses the brief distraction, and he hits Savage back against the turnbuckle post. He has “Macho Man” reeling, teetering on the brink of elimination – but Savage kicks Sting in the wounded knee! Sting’s attack halts, and Savage grabs onto the ropes, shaking them so Sting can’t keep a grip on them! Savage vaults into the ring and knees Sting in the stomach. Sting grabs the top rope, but Savage pulls it inwards – Sting can’t grab it, and his knee gives out! A hush falls over the entire arena, as Sting falls to the floor! Sting himself is even in shock, as he sits up and slowly realizes that he’s on the floor, looking up into the ring where Savage is on the second rope taunting him! Sting tries to rush into the ring, but his knee is too banged up for him to run, and a few WCW officials and security members from around the ring get to him, holding him back, pulling him up the aisle. Sting finally pulls free of them all, turning and walking to the back, shaking his head.</p><p> </p><p> As Tommy Young enters the ring, Dusty is ecstatic, saying that Sting is out of here, and Macho is “gonna take care of bidness’ now!” Anderson watches him from one knee, as Savage climbs down from the turnbuckle. Tony says that this is like watching two wild animals staring one another down, with only one prize to be had for them. Rhodes says that Tony is right, and the prize will be the Spoils of War! Tony again bothers Dusty about what happens if Savage wins, but Dusty instead starts on Tony, saying that nobody knows what Anderson wants because he never told anybody! The two begin circling around one another, before they lock up! </p><p> </p><p> Schiavone puts over the excitement here, as the very first ever World War 3 has come down to a classic matchup between two veterans. Savage takes the early advantage, pushing Arn into the corner. There is no clean break, as Savage starts hitting left handed jabs to Arn’s stomach, before grabbing him by the hair and running for the ropes. Savage leaps over the ropes himself, snapping Anderson’s neck across the top strand! Savage comes back into the ring, and he connects with a running forearm smash! Anderson drops to a knee, wobbly. Tony talks about how exhausting this match has been for both men, as Arn grabs onto Savage’s tights to stay on that knee. “The Enforcer” shoots some weak punches into Savage’s stomach, but Randy hits him with an elbow to the top of the head, going for a pinfall – but he only gets a two before Anderson powers out. Savage looks for a slam, but Arn slips out, instead lifting Macho up for a bodyslam, but hooking his arm and slamming him on top of that! Anderson slaps on an arm bar, as Tony says that this is wise thinking, as Arn wears Savage down while getting a moment of air for himself. Savage comes back up to his feet, and he pulls the hair to send Anderson into the ropes. He whips him to the other side, Anderson ducks a right hand, and the two both go for a clothesline, taking one another down! Tommy Young sees Savage’s arm laying over Anderson’s chest – he counts 1! ………………………2!..........................no! Anderson kicks out, as Dusty talks about how long this match has gone on, any lapse in concentration can be the end, just like it almost was right there. </p><p> </p><p> Both men get to their feet slowly, and they start throwing fists at one another. Exhausted as he is, Anderson hangs onto Savage’s shirt to hold himself on his feet. Arn hits a big left hand that puts Savage down to a knee, before lifting him up for a suplex. Arn tries for a cover, but Savage slips out. Arn sends Savage into the ropes, likely looking for a spinebuster, but Savage flips past him, locking on a sleeper hold! Savage swings back and forth, applying all kinds of pressure on it, as Dusty proclaims this could be it! This should be all it takes! Macho can put Anderson to sleep right here! Arn drops to one knee! He looks like he’s going to go out, as Savage pulls Anderson down to the mat! As Dusty talks about the sleeper hold for the fans who don’t get the basics of the move (though I don’t know who would be watching a pay-per-view and wouldn’t understand how the sleeper affects “the cahrradid ahtahry” to “stop ‘dat blood a’flowin’ if ya’ weel”) Young starts checking Anderson’s arm. He lifts it once……………………and drop. He lifts it twice………………………………………………..and drop! One more time, and this one’s over!</p><p> </p><p> He lifts it a third time…………………………………………………………………………………………. NO! Anderson keeps the arm up! He starts fighting off of the mat, as Savage does what he can to keep the pressure on! Arn looks like he’s ready to fight back, but Savage releases, using the brief confusion to grab Anderson and lift him with a belly-to-back suplex! Savage goes up to the top, lifting his arms through how tired he is to look for the double axe handle.</p><p> </p><p> BUT HE’S CAUGHT!!! OUT OF MID-AIR, ARN HITS THE SPINEBUSTER!! He floats over – 1! 2! 3! He did it! Out of the back comes “The Nature Boy” Ric Flair, and he raises Anderson’s hand for all to see! Tony asks Dusty about seeing Magnum, and he says that he hadn’t spoken to Magnum in a long time – seeing him show up on Saturday Night was a shock, but now it’s a shock that they have factored into the plan until now. Dustin comes out wearing a yellow and blue jacket and a white cowboy hat, pumping the crowd up on his way to the ring as the fans cheer him wildly. Magnum points out to a sign in the crowd, which gets zoomed in upon that says “I believe in Dustin!”</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> <iframe width="320" height="240" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/DVYRUy7ss2g?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe></p><p> <span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HulkHogan2.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/Queen.jpg</span> </p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Next out is the World champion himself, Hollywood Hogan, The Queen ever present at his side. Hogan plays the title belt like a guitar on his way to the ring, angering Schiavone like it does every time. Hollywood looks confident, brushing his nose at Magnum TA as he enters the ring, as The Queen shrieks at a fan who has a sign in the front row saying “Hollywood Chicken!”. Tommy Young takes the defaced World Heavyweight championship from Hogan, and he shows it to Dustin before raising it into the air for all to look upon.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: C</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/DustinRhodes.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> Before the bell sounds, however, “The Natural” requests the microphone. He addresses Hollywood, saying that he heard what Hogan said in the back, about how Magnum is a non-factor in the Kings of Wrestling’s plans. Dustin says that he may not be the smartest man in the world, but he is smart enough to know that against the possible entire KoW, Magnum isn’t enough to handle everything. He trusts that Arn or Ric or Ricky would come out if needed, but they also just took part in a sixty man battle royal, they’d be exhausted. And that’s why he made a call to an old friend – because when did he ever say that Magnum was his only surprise?</p><p> </p><p> As “La Grange” starts playing again, Dustin then introduces his second surprise guest for the Kings of Wrestling!</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/BarryWindham.jpg</span></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> Hogan is beside himself, and on commentary Dusty screams that isn’t fair – Dustin had more tricks up his sleeve than the KoW had thought! Tony is ecstatic though, saying that with Dusty held here on commentary, Magnum to counteract The Queen, and Barry to watch for the Kings, for the first time in a long time, the World Heavyweight champion is going to have to rely on himself to get things done! We could be looking at a brand new champion by the end of this one!</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Rating: C+</em></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWWorldKoW.jpg</span><p> <span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/HulkHogan2.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/Queen.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/vs.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/DustinRhodes.jpg</span><span>http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/WCW-94/WCWs/MagnumTA.jpg</span></p><p> <strong>WCW World Heavyweight Championship</strong></p><p><strong> Hollywood Hogan w/The Queen vs. “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes w/Magnum TA</strong></p><p><strong> </strong><strong><span style="font-size:8px;">Time Limit: 60:00</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="font-size:8px;"> Referee: Tommy Young</span></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Dusty is mostly in full heel mode to start here, but a few times he does crack and give his son some good words. As much as he was annoyed at the appearance of Barry Windham, who has merely taken up residence at the top of the entrance way, he does say that Dustin was smart in having someone to watch his back. Tony questions Dusty about Magnum again, but he keeps his story the same, saying that he was just shocked to see his former friend out there. Hollywood gets the better of the early-goings in this match, twisting Dustin’s neck into a headlock off of a collar and elbow tie-up. Hogan applies pressure while yelling out to the crowd, taunting Dustin by asking “Is this your champion?!” Rhodes shoves Hogan off into the ropes, but Hollywood puts on another headlock then, utilizing his incredible upper body strength. Hogan starts to even taunt Magnum at ringside this time, but when he plants himself to not be thrown into the ropes again, Dustin instead reverses gears and lifts the champion into a back suplex! Rhodes is up quickly, and a big dropkick knocks Hogan out of the ring! The Queen is right there to try and help him back to health, and this time Tony actually has someone to ask: what is the relationship between Hollywood Hogan and The Queen? But Dusty just tells him to mind his own business.</p><p> </p><p> Hogan stalls outside the ring in order to cool things down again, but this time Dustin wins the lockup, peppering Hogan with rights and lefts! The crowd are getting into it now, as Hollywood is rocked back into the corner. Dustin keeps up the attack, using his shoulder to ram Hogan’s midsection! Rhodes starts really speeding the pace of this match up, hitting the ropes to deliver a clothesline that puts the champion on his back. Dustin screams at him to come on, get up! Hogan rolls to his knees, and he starts begging off! “The Natural” looks to the crowd, who tell him not to let up, and he listens, punching Hogan before shoving him into the turnbuckles again. This time, however, Tommy Young tries to get between them to allow a break when Dustin starts swinging punches, and that allows Hogan to hit a sneaky punch to the throat of the challenger! The crowd boo, as Hogan kicks Dustin away with his boot, flexing as if he just did something amazing! Tony sighs, saying that he knew Hulk Hogan for years, and fans, this isn’t the same man he ever thought he was friends with. He says that Hollywood Hogan is an egotistical, self-centered, piece of—Dusty cuts him off, saying that what Tony doesn’t understand is that this was always Hogan; he played everyone like a fiddle all those years, and he became rich because of it.</p><p> </p><p> Hollywood takes over the match, bringing Dustin to a crawl by utilizing a rear chinlock on the ground. When Dustin starts trying to come back out of it, Hogan lifts him up and hits a big bodyslam, going for a cover but only getting a two count. Following a big vertical suplex, Hogan seems to become even more obnoxious with each maneuver, to the point where after he hits a clothesline, he takes time to slap Rhodes in the face, telling him he never had a chance! Hogan motions that it’s over now, and he lifts Dustin to his feet. He slowly, confidently whips Dustin to the other side of the ring, and awaits his face striking the big boot.</p><p> </p><p> But Dustin drops to his back instead of hitting the foot – and he punches Hogan in the upper thigh! Hogan holds his leg, feeling the muscle cramp up, as the challenger gets to his feet! Both Dusty on commentary and Hogan in the ring complain of a low blow, but it was not. Dustin punches Hogan three times before whipping him into the turnbuckle, following him in with a clothesline! He whips the champion to the other side of the ring, and he climbs up on him, yelling to the fans! He begins raining punches down on Hollywood’s face, as the crowd count along! At the ninth one, Dustin rolls his arms in the air, Tony saying that it’s shades of his father getting funky like a monkey, before hitting the tenth punch! Dustin gets off of the turnbuckle, and Hogan comes out teetering… and he drops to the mat, causing a huge cheer in the crowd! Dustin quickly rushes over to the turnbuckles again, going up to the middle rope, and when Hogan gets to his feet and starts trying to shake the cobwebs loose, Dustin is already in the air when he turns, right into a flying clothesline! Dustin jumps on top for the pin – 1!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 2!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> No! Hogan gets his foot up on the ropes, breaking up the pin! Dustin is in charge now, the tempo of the match reflecting that as he knees Hogan in the stomach before cinching him up for his own vertical suplex! Dustin floats over beautifully, but again only a two count. He doesn’t take time to get frustrated, instead keeping on the attack, as he sets the champion up on the top rope. Dustin points out to Barry at the entrance, Tony saying that perhaps Dustin is going for Windham’s trademark, the superplex. Rhodes does indeed, but Hogan keeps a hold of the top rope, letting Dustin throw himself off the ropes to the mat! The crowd are deflated, as Hogan stands up and jumps off – but Dustin gets his cowboy boot up, kicking Hogan on his way down! Hollywood is in a daze, as Rhodes climbs to his feet, and he hits another series of punches, dazing the champion even more. Dustin then swings his fists in the air again, this time pointing toward commentary and his father, before hitting a Bionic Elbow to Hogan’s forehead! A pin! </p><p> </p><p> 1!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> ……………..2!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> ……………………….NO! Hogan just kicks out, and Dusty breathes almost a sigh of relief! Dustin is slowing down a bit now, the adrenaline surge beginning to wear down. “The Natural” pulls Hogan to his feet and whips him to the corner once again, kicking him in the stomach. He jumps to the second rope and spins his finger in the air, signaling that this one is wrapped up! Dustin looks to leap off and hit the bulldog! Hogan catches him though! Hollywood plants himself, and instead of going to the mat he instead directs Dustin onto the top rope, crotching him! Hogan quickly runs to the other side of the ring, hitting the ropes and coming in with a big running clothesline, which Dusty even screams in joy that it was the Axe Bomber! Dustin drops on the inside of the ring. Rather than go for a pinfall, Hogan hoists him up, and he holds him to allow The Queen to get on the apron and slap Dustin!</p><p> </p><p> But her arm is grabbed by Magnum! He shakes his head, telling her it isn’t happening! Hollywood throws Rhodes down and gets in Magnum’s face, and the two start to argue! The champion even puts his finger in Magnum’s chest, poking him to say he’s nothing! Magnum doesn’t take that much, before he shoves Hogan – right into a schoolboy rollup from Rhodes!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 1!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 2!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 3-NO! Hollywood barely snuck his shoulder off the ground! Dustin gets to one knee, but the motion in his arms says to everyone that he’s feeling the adrenaline pumping again, willing him on! Hogan is getting to his feet, and Dustin hits the ropes behind him, going for the bulldog again. But no! Hollywood heard him coming, and spun around with a wild clothesline that sent Dustin on almost a full flip to the mat! A cover! 1!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> ………….2!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> ………………………………….NO!!! DUSTIN GOT THE SHOULDER UP!</p><p> Hollywood is starting to get frustrated now, and he starts waving his hand at the back! Out of the locker room comes Hogan’s Heroes, Little Hollywood and The Jeep – but they’re stopped in their tracks by Windham! Barry punches them both back, meaning they don’t make it to the ring! Hogan watches on, upset that he doesn’t get his back-up! Even The Queen is being pursued up the ramp by Magnum, as he points his cane at her! Hogan is all alone – and when he turns around Dustin has hit the ropes behind him on his blind side, and he finally hits the bulldog! The champion’s face collides with the mat, but Dustin is beaten as well, and is slow to roll him over! But he does, and he goes for the cover!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> 1!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> …………….2!!!!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> …………………………………………….No!!</p><p> </p><p> Hollywood barely saves his title by getting his shoulder up! Both men are tired and worn out after this long match, and it’s beginning to show on their faces. Dustin gets up first and he goes over to the turnbuckles. He gets on the second rope, and he waits for the champion to rise. Tony wonders what Dustin is going for here, either the bulldog or the clothesline again. He says that whatever it is, if he hits it, this one might be over. Hollywood gets to his feet, and Dustin tenses. He leaps as Hogan turns, going for the clothesline – but Hogan ducks him, and Rhodes crashes to the mat! He rolls to his back in the momentum; and immediately gets crushed by a leg drop! Hogan hit the ropes as Dustin was skidding across the mat, and he hit the leg drop!</p><p> </p><p> 1!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> …………………………2!!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> …………………………………………………………………..3! It’s over! Hollywood Hogan has retained the World Heavyweight title, but he did it by the skin of his teeth! The Queen enters the ring with the title, as Magnum and Barry both get in and check on Dustin. Hollywood holds his title high in the air, before holding it to his chest – he may have won here, but how long until the youth of WCW are too much and they finally take the belt away from him?</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:right;"><p><em>Winner in 23:41 and still WCW World champion: Hollywood Hogan</em></p><p><em> Rating: B</em></p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="35691" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Gimmick and Turn notes:<p> Johnny B.
