Beejus
WCW WrestleWar 1995 official program! http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/wrestlewar.jpg WCW WrestleWar 1995! LIVE on pay-per-view on Sunday, November 19th, 1995, from the Richmond Stadium in Richmond, Virginia! http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/rickysteamboat.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/vs.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/ricflair.jpg The Battle for Respect! “The Dragon” takes on “The Nature Boy”! In one of the most classic matchups in all of WCW history, Ricky Steamboat is out to teach Ric Flair a lesson in respect yet again. But after the Horsemen put Magnum TA on the shelf, and with Flair focused squarely on showing Dustin Rhodes what it’s like to “go to school” will he learn his lesson or disrupt the class? http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/steveaustin.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/vs.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/roddypiper.jpg One redneck and one brawler; the KoW has bitten off more than it can chew! Steve Austin and “Hot Rod” Roddy Piper has have some kind of a “cold war” as there have been very few times they actually saw one another in the ring. But that cold war is about to heat up, as they will finally be one-on-one, and we will see which one of these loudmouths can cash the check that their mouths have been writing! http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/cactusjack.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/vs.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/randysavage.jpg Entering the Danger Zone! Who will stand tall as the craziest of them all?! After months of battling after Cactus Jack swore off joining the Kings of Wrestling, Jack was mortified by the depths that Randy Savage stooped to; sending a message via a Giant assault on Cactus’s mentor, Terry Funk! Now, with revenge on his mind, Cactus Jack will finally meet “Macho Man” Randy Savage one-on-one in the ring, and he has sworn to enter Savage’s own match, The Danger Zone! That means both men will be placed in solitude with no water, no food, and no human contact for twenty-four hours, before being released upon one another in a no disqualifications, falls count anywhere matchup! This one must end at WrestleWar! http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/sting.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/vs.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/chrisjericho.jpg Will the “Lionheart” prove to be a chicken? Chris Jericho has been in WCW for a few months now, and since day one he has been calling out Sting as not being “The Franchise of WCW” anymore, and that he should be the fans’ new favorite hero. With all that’s gone on with Sting over the past year, does Jericho have a point? Rick Rude seems to no longer be a factor, but will Sting show up for the match? It seems as though he will, and there is the threat of termination if Sting does not compete, but who knows where his head is at anymore! http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/lexluger.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/rwhawk.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/rwanimal.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/rickmartel.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/vs.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/nWo.jpg The New World invades Chicago in a massive eight-man tag that may decimate all of Richmond! Brian Pillman and his New World Order have put all of WCW on notice that they are men who are tired of sitting back and waiting for their time; they are going to stand up and take their rightful place in WCW! Three men who have taken offense to their comments are Lex Luger and the Road Warriors, and at WrestleWar they will join forces with Rick Martel to do battle with the upstarts! http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/ronsimmons.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/bookert.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/vs.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/johnnybbadd.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/stevieray.jpg Brotherly Battle! Johnny B. Badd has been talking about being held down as of late as well. He says that WCW management have been keeping he and “his people” away from title opportunities for a long time now. While Ron Simmons disagreed, Badd was able to convince Stevie Ray of his logic. Simmons quickly swooped upon Booker T, who was none too pleased about his brother’s betrayal, and now the two sides shall meet in a tag team war! http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/ricksteiner.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/scottsteiner.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/barrywindham.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/vs.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/arnanderson.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/owenhart.jpghttp://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/eddyguerrero.jpg Six-Man Shootout, dedicated to Magnum TA! While Owen Hart and Arn Anderson were supposed to get a World Tag Team title match, the actions of the Four Horsemen led WCW to cancel that. Instead, they will team up with fellow Horseman, World Television champion Eddy Guerrero, to take on the Steiner Brothers and “Blackjack” Barry Windham! Windham is out for revenge for his friend, and the Steiners want a piece of Arn and Owen; can the Horsemen withstand this level of competition?! Also: Ted DiBiase has a big announcement regarding WCW Starrcade, and “The Natural” Dustin Rhodes has something to say that he says will severely affect Ric Flair when it comes to Starrcade! In a special challenge match, there will be a World Cruiserweight title match between Ultimo Dragon and Dean Malenko! The Final Countdown
“Nature Boy” Ric Flair w/Bobby Heenan vs. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat Comments: Should be a mat classic, but the build is on for Flair vs. Dustin at Starrcade. Steve Austin vs. “Hot Rod” Roddy Piper Comments: I see Roddy winning in cheap fashion, setting up a gimmick rematch at Starrcade. Danger Zone Match Cactus Jack vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage Comments: A Cactus win would be huge for his career, but my gut says Macho. Sting vs. “Lionheart” Chris Jericho Comments: I love Jericho; he's in my top 5 all time favorites for sure. That said, he has zero change of winning this match. Zero. “Total Package” Lex Luger, The Road Warriors, and Rick Martel vs. The New World Order Comments: I'd be shocked if the nWo lost here; it feels like it would have a very negative impact on their momentum. Ron Simmons and Booker T vs. Johnny B. Badd and Stevie Ray w/Badd Girl Comments: Some kind of shenanigans here, whether it be Booker turning or a third party aligning with Johnny & co. The Steiner Brothers and “Blackjack” Barry Windham vs. “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson, Owen Hart, and “Latino Heat” Eddy Guerrero w/Bobby Heenan Comments: Horsemen win, leading to a tag title shot at Starrcade. Steve Austin vs. “Hot Rod” Roddy Piper Comments: I echo mah bud TFC here. Danger Zone Match Cactus Jack vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage Comments: Seeing how Macho has lost the majority of the matches on the feud, I say he wins here. Sting vs. “Lionheart” Chris Jericho Comments: I see Jericho winning a future match with Sting and bragging about it. But this is not that match. “Total Package” Lex Luger, The Road Warriors, and Rick Martel vs. The New World Order Comments: Poor Martel is just here to be pinned Ron Simmons and Booker T vs. Johnny B. Badd and Stevie Ray w/Badd Girl Comments: I say that something happens and the heels are disqualified. The Steiner Brothers and “Blackjack” Barry Windham vs. “The Enforcer” Arn Anderson, Owen Hart, and “Latino Heat” Eddy Guerrero w/Bobby Heenan Comments: It's pretty obvious. Scott shows signs of the heel turn here and turns at Starrcade. How many turns will there be? I will say 1, but I have no idea on who will it be. It might be Macho Man or someone to join Rick Rude and Jericho on the crusade against Sting, but for me the only obvious turn right now is Scott Steiner, and it happens at Starrcade, not here. But then, 1 turn. What match will be highest rated? Flair vs. Steamboat. What match will be lowest rated? Booker & Simmons vs. Badd & Stevie. Who will win the match between Ultimo Dragon and Dean Malenko? Malenko. How many matches will end by disqualification or countout? One, Booker & Simmons vs. Badd & Stevie. What will Dustin Rhodes have to say? That he wants to fight Flair at Starrcade because of what happened to Magnum. Fun Fan Signs: ''STEVIE: WE COMIN' FOR YOU BADD [N WORD]!'' Mattywood
“Nature Boy” Ric Flair w/Bobby Heenan vs. Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat Comments: Gotta keep Flair strong for Dustin Rhodes. Steve Austin vs. “Hot Rod” Roddy Piper Comments: This one ends in a draw and the feud rages on. Whether it's a Double DQ, Double Count Out, or sports entertainment finish, who knows. Danger Zone Match Cactus Jack vs. “Macho Man” Randy Savage Comments: Cactus finally gets one over on Macho Man. Beejus
WCW Monday Nitro - November 13th, 1995 http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/nitro.jpg <iframe width="350" height="263" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/cXXWw8AneQw?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Monday, November 13th, 1995 Held at: Philadelphia Civic Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (Tri-State) Commentary: Tony Schiavone and Jesse “The Body” Ventura Attendance: 12,037 (sold out!) Show Runtime: One Hour (with five minute overrun) Rating: B+ This show increased our popularity in 15 regions. Nitro begins with Cactus Jack standing in the ring, which is surrounded by security. He kneels down in the ropes facing toward the entrance to the arena, and says that he doesn’t care what anyone does to him – they can beat him around, bash his brains out, break his limbs, shatter his bones, whatever – but what tends to make Jack an upset boy is when you mess with his family. And while they may not be blood related (Jack begins getting louder) Terry Funk is as much a family member as his own father! He says that what the Kings of Wrestling did last Saturday was a callous act of desperate men, but they must be desperate to write their own eulogies because you don’t just assault Terry Funk and not have Cactus Jack see red! “The Macho Man” Randy Savage finally comes out, laughing. He stays at the mouth of the aisle, and says that he’s glad he has Jack’s undivided attention now. He talks about how by no will of their own, their battle seemed to inexplicably twine together with Piper and Austin, but now with help of The Giant, Randy has made sure that all focus is on the two of them. Savage says that no man is wilder than “The Macho Man” and when he faces off with Cactus in the ring, he’s going to prove it – and he’s going to make sure that no security will get in his way to do it. Cactus laughs, asking if Randy actually thinks the security is there for his benefit; “No, WCW made them come out here, because they want to protect you from me!” Jack ups the ante though, saying that he doesn’t just want Savage in a match – he wants him in Savage’s own creation, the Danger Zone! Tony Schiavone goes into hype mode on the outside, talking about how Savage is undefeated in that match (despite there only ever having been one of them). Savage thinks about it for barely a second before saying that if Cactus wants to die, then Savage “knows of a good pallbearer”. It’s going to be an all-out war at WrestleWar, and you can see it unfold this Sunday on pay-per-view! Notes: Both men were allowed to improvise. Cactus was superb, the crowd in the palm of his hand, while Savage very performed well, as he enjoyed the complete freedom. Rating: A Hollywood Hogan is seen in the KoW locker room along with The Giant. Hogan appears to be asking Giant about how recently he has been helping Roddy Piper and Randy Savage after he gave him the nights off; Giant says that he works for the Kings of Wrestling, and when legends have enemies, there are no nights off. Hogan seems pleased with that response, and we go out to the ring. Rating: C+ Steve and Scott Armstrong are one of the most experienced teams in all of WCW, brothers who have been around every block you can imagine. But on this night, they face off against Arn Anderson and Owen Hart, who seem exceptionally pleased with their actions as of late. The Horsemen representatives seem to be taking pleasure in picking the brothers apart, as they do a wonderful job of showing why they should be considered as a serious threat to the Steiner Brothers’ World Tag Team titles. Owen finally pins Scott following a beautiful spinning heel kick. Following a brief commercial break, Eddy Guerrero has joined his stablemates for the party when “Professor” Mike Tenay enters the scene. He warns them not to shoot the messenger, before saying that WCW have informed him that due to the Horsemen’s antics this past week at Clash of the Champions, Arn and Owen will NOT be receiving their World Tag Team title match, and instead will be teaming with Eddy to take on the Steiners and Barry Windham in six-man tag team action! Bobby Heenan is incredible here, as he starts ranting about calling up lawyers and attorneys and suing WCW, Ted Turner, Tony Schiavone, anyone who had anything to do with this decision; while Arn, Owen, and Eddy are in a rage. But despite their complaints, the match is signed and will happen at WrestleWar, this Sunday on pay-per-view! Match Time: 10:25 Ratings: C+ / B What starts to look like a commercial set at a beach resort (so 90s!!) is really “The Loose Cannon” Brian Pillman sitting on a chair. He’s wearing black sunglasses and has his Hawaiian print shirt open to reveal his cut physique, while wearing small shorts. He appears to be getting his picture taken by a slew of photographers as he strikes pose after pose. Eventually he gets angry when one of them appears to have gotten “his bad side” on a picture, and he throws the table that had his water on it, saying that he “just can’t work under these conditions!” Just then, he notices the camera and pulls the sunglasses off, saying that “Ya know, I’ve tried it out, and this whole ‘narcissistic model’ gig isn’t so hard after all,” before laughing maniacally. Brian then chases the photographers down, and he takes red spraypaint to paint “nWo” all over them, and the segment ends showing some of the pictures they took with the red letters in the corner of them all. Rating: C+ It is main event time, as Steve Austin marches to the ring to face off with “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff. Orndorff is trailed by partner Meng and manager Jimmy Hart, and despite the odds being stacked against the wild Texan, he rips into the veteran with reckless abandon. Jesse Ventura questions if Austin really cares if he beats Orndorff or if he just wants to send a message to the Kings of Wrestling by dominating one of the original members. Thanks to Hart, “Mr. Wonderful” is able to gain control of the match for quite a few long, grueling minutes. He works Austin over amidst chants from the crowd of “Paula, Paula”, culminating in the boogie-woogie elbow drop. After that only scores him a two count, Orndorff starts to set Austin up for the jumping piledriver – but Austin counters with a back body drop! He starts to struggle back with right hands, until Jimmy climbs onto the apron to distract Tommy Young. Meng sneaks into the ring and readies a harsh savate kick – but it catches Orndorff instead! Austin hits Meng with the Stunner, before turning and drilling Orndorff with the move as well, getting a big victory here on Nitro! Match Time: 16:02 Rating: B In something not broadcast on television, the live crowd got to see Hollywood Hogan on his way to the ring… and a brief staredown broke out between he and Austin, who was still in the ring celebrating his victory. Foreshadowing, perhaps? Austin leaves without incident, and the cameras come back on to show Hogan standing in the ring. He takes to the microphone and talks about how he doesn’t care anymore about “that floozy he used to hang around with” saying that she was never worthy of carrying his dirty boots, let alone his prized KoW World Heavyweight title! That really garners some jeers, especially from the women in the crowd who loved the big love story that went on over the past year. He turns his attention to someone “a little more near and dear to his heart” Sting. The crowd now cheers wildly for “The Franchise of WCW” but Hollywood quiets that by remarking that he can’t wait for Sting to not show up for his match at WrestleWar and end up unemployed by next Monday! He says that it shouldn’t bother people too badly though, because Sting never shows up around here anymore anyways. But…… that sentence proves to be Hollywood’s mistake, as up from underneath the ring itself comes Sting! Armed with his trusty black baseball bat, he looks fired up! Hogan hears the loud cheer and assumes it’s for him, until Sting grabs him and twists him backwards, smashing the World champion with the same inverted DDT that he used back at Halloween Havoc to decimate Chris Jericho! Sting stands over his fallen enemy and looks down upon both he and the World Heavyweight championship belt, pointing at the belt with his bat while placing a foot on Hollywood’s chest! The message seems clear: Sting is still here, and he still wants the World title! Notes: Hogan had some masterful interactions with the crowd here. Beejus
Sorry for the lack of description earlier. It's basically the Monster's Ball match from TNA.
The Nickman
Sorry for the lack of description earlier. It's basically the Monster's Ball match from TNA. Oh, don't apologise. I just assume it's something buried back in the four thousand pages of this diary!
Beejus
WCW Television: November 18th, 1995 <iframe width="320" height="240" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/62ZdaPycJP8?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Taped on Thursday, November 16th, 1995 Held at: Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland (Mid-Atlantic) Commentary: Tony Schiavone and “The Professor” Mike Tenay Attendance: 10,000 (sold out!) Show Runtime: Two Hours Rating: B This show increased our popularity in 2 regions, but lost in 11. Angles “Nature Boy” Ric Flair and “The Dragon” Ricky Steamboat open the show with an argument about who is the greatest wrestler of all-time between the two of them, really hyping their big match tomorrow night at WrestleWar. (A) The New World Order are shown in a mini-movie as they roll on scooters into what looks like a hardened city. When they get there, it’s all scrawny men and women who are dressed like Mad Max, and the nWo are shown laying them all out. As they get back on their scooters and ride out of town, the sign by the road says “Now leaving Chicago”. Much like Pillman’s message on Monday, the nWo have mocked their opponents. (B-) Monday Nitro recap video: Hollywood Hogan gets attacked by Sting. Tony Schiavone notes that after that attack, Hogan has said he will definitely not be at WrestleWar. (B+) Gene Okerlund interviews Dustin Rhodes and a steamed Ricky Steamboat. Dustin puts over both Ricky’s match and his own announcement that he is going to reveal tomorrow night at WrestleWar, and both are going to make Ric Flair shake in his boots! (B) Lex Luger, Rick Martel, and the Road Warriors talk about the nWo; they talk about how they aren’t out here to poke fun or be irritants (Hawk saying “So you got jokes? Great – we’ve got some punch lines for you”) they’re out there to win, and that’s what they plan to do at WrestleWar. (B-) In black and white footage, Cactus Jack and “Macho Man” Randy Savage are shown being loaded into their dark rooms for the next 24 hours, where they will remain with no food, light, or water until they get released upon one another at WrestleWar! (B) After their successful title defense, the Steiner Brothers are stopped by “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff. Paul challenges them to put the titles on the line again on Monday’s Nitro, to give he and “dummy” their contractual rematch. Rick and Scott agree almost instantly, but as Orndorff wishes them best of luck, Bubba Rogers and California Kip attack the champions from behind! © The show ends with Eric Bischoff in an office setting, as he is talking about how he let this whole power thing go on way too long. He says that Nick isn’t the commissioner anymore, so he just had to take care of one more thing. The camera pans back to show Ted DiBiase and Richard Stevenson both laid out on the ground, and The Giant is standing over them! (B-) Matches Smash d. Marty Jannetty by using Jimmy Hart’s megaphone (C-) Rey Mysterio Jr. d. Alex Porteau with a springboard rana (D) California Kip d. The Patriot with the Silicon Valley Slam (D+) Roddy Piper d. Sgt. Buddy Parker with a sleeper © Eddy Guerrero d. Terry Taylor with a Frog Splash to retain the World TV title (C-) Chris Jericho d. Cousin Denny after a Lionsault (D) Richard Stevenson d. Meng after a botched interference by Paul Orndorff © Lord Steven Regal d. Ricky Morton by stun gunning Morton from the top rope; Robert Gibson and the Ruthless Roundtable circled the ring for this match © The Steiner Brothers d. The Heavenly Bodies with the Steiner Bulldog to retain the World Tag Team titles; Arn Anderson and Owen Hart came out to watch the match, but did nothing else (B) http://i1325.photobucket.com/albums/u628/beejus1/wcw-95/logo.jpg This is the final show before WrestleWar, so thanks to those who have already predicted and here's your time to get predictions in if you haven't! Main Event will, as usual, be posted alongside WrestleWar.

The Final Countdown
Looking forward to WrestleWar, especially as it means we're heading into Starrcade season! Can't wait! Refresh my memory, Beej--what's the current status of Dawn Marie, aka Belle? I seem to remember her turning heel, but I'm drawing a blank after that. Is she currently managing someone, or is she not around anymore?
Beejus
Refresh my memory, Beej--what's the current status of Dawn Marie, aka Belle? I seem to remember her turning heel, but I'm drawing a blank after that. Is she currently managing someone, or is she not around anymore? She's with Scorpio. It's actually a pairing with great chemistry, and I really did sign Scorp with high hopes. I just have trouble finding time to fit them in anywhere for the most part. Damn bloated roster though part of it is damn Marcus Bagwell. Scorpio was meant to win that feud and skyrocket, but then Bagwell went and got in a fight with Flair, so I fired him before it was complete.
