Wrestlers Rising Up

Recommended Posts

Having played TEW 2010, one of my biggest complaints was that workers never really rose up from the indies. The people who were signed to big companies were always indy stars who the mod-maker had rated highly.

Has this changed at all in TEW 2013? I haven't noticed it, but perhaps I missed it. I'd like to see situations where an unknown wrestler becomes a star over a year or two, much like how it happens in the real indies.

Does this happen?

There's a reason why most people run heavily perfornance-based promotions as far as Regional-it is simply easier to find workers with decent skills but low popularity, and it's lso cheper to pay them in comparison to workers with high popularity but terrible skills.

The basic product I would use for a small promition would be:

Key Feature: Traditional, Realism

Heavy: None

Medium: Modern or Pure

Low: Mainstream

You can tinker with all products of course, but this product will tell you exactly what workers you need and can use. It will favor performanced-based workers (read: high performance or "Ring General" skills with high "top-row" skills, with "Show Stopper" Skills a plus; it "permits" managers and personalities).

Physical decline helps: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1818504

The new worker generation upgrade helps too: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1816151

I simmed 3 games for 10 years and it does make a difference. It is still hard for newcomers (like in real life) to climb the ladder. But, now quite a bit more do make it.
