Golden State Wrestling

Making WRESTLING Cool Again

Yes, I shamelessly edited the Golden State Warriors logo.

This is my first proper diary for TEW. I have no idea what the usual format for these are, but I'm just going to go with my own style like I have for other game diaries.

Golden State Wrestling is based out of San Francisco, California. It is one of the best financially backed independent companies in North America, boasting an impressive talent roster and equally impressive promotion and advertising. Despite only recently opening, it's owner and highly successful entrepreneur Jordan Swinburn (who also wrestles for the company as Jack Hazard), spent millions of dollars promoting the company prior to opening, allowing them the fortunes of large venues and capacity crowds. They are most popular in the South West region, due to Swinburn's extensive advertising in the area, as evident by their near 52000 attendance at only their third show. They currently run bi-monthly PPVs and will begin their first TV show, 'Golden State Wrestling' on Spike in June, in a late night spot.

I know the above is somewhat unrealistic, but I wanted to create an intriguing backstory. This being similar to the takeover of English football team Manchester City. The promotion in-game only has finances of $1.4m, as in the backstory, all the investment money has been focused on building the knowledge of the company.

And we're completely up to date. Apologies for the sheer number of posts there. I like to keep things in order. I'm only posting the cards for the shows, with important segments between in italics. Let me know what you think of the format of my stuff, the roster I have and the shows so far.

With the recent raid of my talent by WWE, in which they took seven guys of mine, I've decided to change the contract system to written. I was using exclusive PPAs but I'm not risking any more losses. I have a PPV carrier, a seemingly successful TV show and I'm doing good crowds, so I should be able to manage.
