Have you ever wondered how Black Mountain Wrestling got started? Neither have I!

So when I happened across this dusty volume of the history of Black Mountain Wrestling, I did what any sane person would do. I bought it for a cool looking monitor stand, to replace the bright yellow phone book I had been using. My girl’s been riding me forever about how horribly it clashes with our décor.

As with so many decisions in my life, the one to open that thick dusty volume had a lot to do with four very good friends. (jim, Jack, Johnny & Jose). Those four have gotten me into and out of more jams, troubles and tight spots than I can shake their empty bottles at. I wandered home at four AM with a splitting head ache that would not quite, all I wanted to do was brush my teeth, crawl in bed an snuggle up to my little angel. All she wanted was to yell an scream, and throw pillows at my head. (What, was I supposed to call and tell her I was going to be hours late, on her birthday? Hell no, I know how that argument would have ended!)

Any whays . . . She just wouldn’t shut her trap long enough for a guy to catch 40 winks, but she wouldn’t let me in the room either, so to cut the sound of her ever droning voice, I plucked up the volume and started reading. Some of the dreariest sh*t you can imagine; pages and pages of, how big this guy was and how big that guy was. Who came to work at this time, and when this other guy broke this bone or that. Just page after page of boring *ss sh*t.

So I will save you ever having to read the first 1000 pages or so;

Black Mountain wrestling was founded by a former train engineer, Boiler Plate Jack. Jack had a one track mind, and the track was running wrestling like a train system. Once a month every month, the whole thing booked on the back of a huge life time settlement from his former rail way accident.

The best part of the whole book? Well that when I slammed it into my head after reading it, it knocked me the F*** out! But the foot notes about each show weren't half bad either.

Bob Casey, Ace Young Blood, Thomas Morgan, Marc Speed, Snap Dragon, Al “the Cole man”, Dirty Bill Lebowski, Chuck Frisby, Menace & Thunderbolt. 10 man battle Royal, with Bob Casey the last man standing.

The match sets a monster pace, in the first minute alone half the combatants are gone. Thunderbolt, Menace, Chuck Frisby, Drity Bill, and Al “the Cole man” all go over the top rope. A high flying clinic is then put on my Marc Speed and Snap Dragon, unfortunately “The Blue Blood” Thomas Morgan is not above low bridging the rope, as Bob Casey and Ace Young blood clothes line the two CZCW out of the ring, leaving us with an all BMW match.

Tom tries his dirty tricks on Bob and Ace, but they team up the throw the smaller man out of the ring. They turn on each other, not noticing that Tom skinned the cat, and came back in under the bottom rope. Tom lines up Ace and drop kicks him out of the ring, right after he has DDTed Bob. Tom then tries to throw Bob out of the ring, but can’t get him up high enough. Bob rolls back and uses the most boring monkey flip ever to get Tom just over the top rope. Tom tries to skin the cat again, but Bob is ready for this and hits “The Blue Blood” with a fall away drop kick that sends him out to the security railing and eliminates him. D-

Flash clutches the wound with both hands, and flees from the ring side area. Bulldozer rolls back into the ring where he is dominated by Titan. Titan hits a huge choke slam and rolls Dozer over for the three. E+

I looked at my watch, it had been at least an hour since the last time I heard a door slam, or an f-bomb rain down on me from upstairs. Maybe she had caught the hint that I was ignoring her, or maybe hurricane crazy had played itself out, and she had gone to bed. Maybe it was time to venture upstairs and see if it was safe to join her again.

Black mountain wrestling had sucked me in! what was Boiler Plate Jack going to do to keep Titan happy? Had Jack really set up a fake fight with the British Mainline just to get them another legitimate shot at the tag team titles? Did that make Jack a good guy or a bad guy?

The International Hillbillies had split up over a girl, turns out Paige had been seeing both of them on the side, oops. I guess smaller things had ended friendships than that.

The stuff shirt Thomas Morgan had fallen flat in the mud, but I doubt he’s learned too much from the experience.

All in all it had been a good year for this little federation that could. I decided sleep could wait, what another year couldn't hurt, I mean I was already in the dog house.

“the Future” Stephen Parker, K-square, Ace, Cal Sanders, Hillbilly Kashmir, Ricardo, Hillbilly Inca, Alex Smash, Thomas Morgan, Menace.

Thomas Morgan & Menace immediately squared off with Richardo Vedder and Cal Sanders. Hillbillys Inca and Kashmir threw wild hay makers, that allowed Rick and Cal to over balance the bluest bloods and toss them over the top rope.

Alex Smash tried to square off with Stephen Parker, and took a huge right the sent him over the top rope. K-square and Ace laid low staying out of traffic, Richardo and Cal turned on the fighting hillbillies, Inca was quickly eliminated, Kashmir took to offense as that was his fight, and picked up and tossed Richardo over the top rope.

Cal and the remaining hillbilly started to tussle, but K-squared and Ace bum rushed them and threw both men over the top rope. Stephen Parker then drop kicked Ace young blood right on out with them. K-squared tried to fight back, but Stephen Parker hit him with a future shock, spun him around, and lead him right out over the top rope to secure the win! E+

Titan takes a couple moments to lay out his game plan from winning just one fall, he doesn’t mind losing the battle tonight, as long as he wins the war, and keeps the Black Mountain Gold. E -

BP over titan, winning all 3 falls to win the BMW gold.

Titan fights valiantly, but BP uses a well placed low blow to land the first fall. Titan then scores a huge choke slam, and gets a good 10 count, but a ref bump moments before leads to a new ref having to run down to the ring, by the time he gets there, bp has recovered and kicks out at 2 and a half. Titan is so fustterated that Jack sneaks a quick small package for the second pinfall.

The last pinfall is clean, Jack has just outlasted Titan, he hits his finisher, the Old Raild Spike, driving his hardened hand right into Titan’s forehead. Titan goes down like a rag doll, and BP covers for the final three count winning the match, and the Black mountain Gold. E
