FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN!

MADISON SQUARE GARDEN!

20,000!(SELL OUT!)

-Your announcers are Michael Cole, Matt Striker and Josh Mathews. Tonight, a sneak preview of what's in store with the upcoming WWE Tag Team Title tournament as the Prime Time Players take on the Usos; Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes takes on Tyson Kidd in a non-title bout; four of the six Smackdown Money In The Bank competitors in tag team action as Damien Sandow teams with Jack Swagger to take on Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio; and Big Show, Randy Orton, Sheamus and Dolph Ziggler all scheduled to appear as well!

-We open the show with Mick Foley coming out and pandering to the fans... RIGHT HERE... IN NEW YORK CITY! *cheap pop* He says it's great to be campaigning to be the new Smackdown GM in the same building where he hitchhiked to see Jimmy Snuka take on Don Muraco in a steel cage. He says that his record as WWE Commissioner back in 2000 speaks for itself, and that alone should be reason enough for the fans to vote for him. "CAN YOU DIG IT, SUCKA?!" Booker T's music hits, and he comes out to a nice pop from the fans. He tells Foley that he's always respected him, but that his time as being in charge of a show has come and gone, and that his vision would be stale, and that what Smackdown needs is someone who will bring fresh ideas to the table, someone who will take Smackdown to new heights, and that man is Booker T. Big Show's music hits, and he comes out to boos from the fans. He pleads his case to both Foley and Booker that he should get a World Title shot. They both agree, with Foley saying it should be a cage match, and Booker saying it should be a street fight. Sheamus comes out to a big pop. He's more serious than ever, because in order to beat someone like Show, he says, "You've got to get down and nasty." He didn't even say "fella!" Sheamus and Show stare each other down but don't come to blows as Foley and Booker book them in matches respectively: Foley books Big Show vs. Randy Orton, and Booker makes Sheamus vs. Dolph Ziggler.

-The Prime Time Players defeated the Usos by pinfall when Darren Young used a foreign object on Jimmy Uso while the ref was distracted with Titus O'neil bodyslamming Jey Uso down hard on the floor.

Rating: 72

-Mean Gene Okerlund is backstage with Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns. Dean says they are the Shield, and they are here to bring justice to WWE. Dean and Seth talk about how they don't like crap like part time wrestlers such as Undertaker and Triple H hogging the limelight at WrestleMania. They don't like that The Rock hasn't been seen since WrestleMania until this past Monday night on Raw, but yet he gets to take part in Raw's Money In The Bank. Mean Gene asks them if they've signed with either the Raw or Smackdown brand. They say that they'll show up whenever they want, and that they won't sign with a brand until they like what they see. WWE owner Triple H walks in and tells them that they have five minutes to get out of here or he'll have police take them to jail, as well having them blackballed from the wrestling business since they're not even signed to WWE contracts, much less a Raw or Smackdown contract. They walk off, with Roman Reigns being his menacing self, shooting a death stare toward Triple H.

Rating: 75

-In a non-title match, Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes defeated Tyson Kidd by disqualification when Christian ran in and attacked Cody in response to some rather tasteless tweets he posted today!

Rating: 78

-The match may be over, but Christian won't let up, wailing away at Cody. Cody fights back, and a brawl ensues that has to be broken up by random lower card workers.

Rating: 89

-Beth Phoenix is walking around backstage when she bumps into Trish Stratus. Beth tells her to watch where she's going. Trish responds by telling Beth that she should show respect to women like her(Trish) who paved the way for all the divas. Beth and Trish argue over who the best diva in WWE is when Layla, holding her Diva's Championship over her shoulder, walks in and overhears the argument. She says "Um, hello, I'm the Diva's Champion. That means I'M the best diva in WWE!" Aaaaand a three way catfight breaks out that has to be separated by security.

Rating: 84

-Ryback beat Jinder Mahal in less than five minutes by pinfall after hitting the Shell Shock.

Rating: 73

-Natalya and Eve defeated the Chickbusters(A.J. and Kaitlyn) via pinfall when Natalya used the ropes for leverage to pin Kaitlyn.

Rating:79

-Kane and Daniel Bryan are walking around backstage, arguing over who the better half of Team Hell No is. Kane says "I will win the WWE Tag Team Titles in the tournament." Daniel of course replies with the ever mature "No, I will win the WWE Tag Team Titles in the tournament!" They go back and forth with such a prim and proper discussion about how they're going to win the WWE Tag Team Title tournament when... BAM! BOOM! Antonio Cesaro and Kassius Ohno lay out Kane and Daniel Bryan respectively with steel chairs! They waylay Kane and Bryan with the chairs, while Aksana stands off in the background, grinning an ever evil grin. She then walks up to Cesaro, who puts his arm around her and both he and Ohno say, "No. WE will win the WWE Tag Team Title tournament."

Rating: 82

-Damien Sandow and Jack Swagger defeated Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara via pinfall when Sandow hit Cara with the Terminus.

Rating: 78

-We cut to the backstage area, where we see Alberto Del Rio(who's arm is in a sling), Ricardo Rodriguez, Dolph Ziggler and Vickie Guerrero all yelling at each other in an argument. Del Rio tells Ziggler the only reason he's in Money In The Bank for Smackdown is because he(Del Rio) is injured. Ziggler tells Del Rio it wouldn't matter if he was hurt or not, that he(Ziggler) would STILL be in the Smackdown Money In The Bank match. Wade Barrett, who's wearing a cast on his arm, tells them that they're both wrong, and that Ziggler is only in it because he(Barrett) is injured. And if he wasn't not only would he be in Money In The Bank, but they would both be on the shelf. Triple H walks in to restore order, and tells everyone to either go to their respective locker rooms now, or none of them will be at Money In The Bank because they'll all be fired. He then tells Ziggler "By the way, when you go to your locker room, you better hurry up and get changed, because your match is next."

Rating: 93

-In an non-title match, World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus defeated Dolph Ziggler by disqualification when Big Show ran in and tried to attack Sheamus, only for Sheamus to fight the big man away.

Rating: 92

-We see a promotional video highlighting the career of the Undertaker.

Rating: 100

-Randy Orton defeated the Big Show via pinfall after hitting the RKO when Sheamus, who was on commentary, got up to distract Big Show.

Rating: 96

-Orton has walked off to the back, and Sheamus is laughing it up with the commentary team. Big Show is slow to get back up, but when he does, he rolls out of the ring and makes a beeline for Sheamus. He grabs him by his T-shirt, picks him up and throws him down into the barricade. Big Show then picks Sheamus up and brings him over to the announce table, bashing his head into it, then picking up a monitor and bashing it into Sheamus' head, knocking him out. Big Show takes the top half of the table apart, then picks Sheamus up and chokeslams him through the table! Big Show is standing over Sheamus as we go off the air.

I may put this diary on hold for a few days while Adam tries to look into the issue of wild momentum swings happening to the same workers. Hopefully it's not corrupted data and just a bug with setting momentum and recent fortunes in contracts.

Okie dokie, here's the latest. Adam is addressing the bug with wild momentum shifts for the next patch that will come out(not the one that just came out yesterday for May 3rd, obviously, but the next one). For those that missed the thread and are curious as to who was being affected, the main ones being affected were Kaitlyn, Beth Phoenix, Natalya, A.J. and Fandango, and sometimes David Otunga and Michael McGillicutty, depending on who they were facing.

That said, if I am not mistaken, even when I download the next patch, it won't fix the current game save I have, right? If that's the case, I'll have to start over a new game, but I can book and make the same decisions I made with the diary here. Granted, the ratings may not be the same, but it's better than abandoning this diary altogether. But if I am mistaken on whether or not playing with the latest patch will matter on my current game save, chime in. Either way, this dynasty is still going.

It should stop any future momentum shifts on your existing save, but obviously it won't reverse any that have already happened.

Right, that much I figured. I can always try to correct those by running storylines with those affected, which I planned on doing anyway. ^_^

==The Day After Smackdown Tapings==

http://s2.excoboard.com/forums/20864/user/366987/527954.jpg

It was great to be back in Madison Square Garden last night. That building has been legendary for us and has provided many great moments. As they say, you could cut the electricity with a knife. Mick Foley and Booker T really seemed to have fun out there, and this Smackdown Your Vote storyline should turn out to be really entertaining. Speaking of which, that leads me to one of my signings last night just as we were getting ready to tape Main Event: Scott Hall. I'm willing to give him a chance if he truly has cleaned up his act, and I have plans to throw him into the Smackdown GM storyline. If he's clean like he says he is, he'll really help our younger talent develop their entertainment skills.

==Saturday, Week 1, July 2012==

Looking at the overnight numbers for Friday Night Smackdown on SyFy: 2.67. Not too bad, considering our numbers have been hovering around in the 1s region. And in the past several days, we've been able to seal the deal on several workers I was looking to sign: Davey Richards; Ashley Lane, who will be working as Madison Rayne; Kip James, who'll work as Billy Gunn; Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, who will give our tag team division a boost as the Motor City Machine Guns; Amy Dumas, working as Lita, which I'm sure has made CM Punk really happy; Dutch Mantel, and we have big plans for him, but I'm not going to divulge those just yet; and of course, you all know about Scott Hall. You know, I did consider putting him into the Smackdown GM storyline, but maybe he could work as Davey Richards' manager. I'll give it a test run on the pre-show for Superstars to see what kind of chemistry, if any, is there.

-We open the show with Miz TV! The Miz talks about how tonight is a great night because not only does he have a chance to soften up CM Punk before their title match at Money In The Bank, but also tonight he has booked the greatest guests in the history of Miz TV. He tells the fans to welcome Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash, and the recently re-signed Scott Hall, the Klique! "Rockhouse" by Frank Shelley plays over the PA, and the fans are going nuts as all four members of the Klique make their way down the ramp and to the ring. They take a moment to soak in the adulation of the crowd, then Shawn puts his hand up to get the crowd to simmer down so the show can go on. Shawn talks about how happy he is for Scott, having been working on cleaning up his life because he's been down that road himself and knows how tough it is. Triple H and Kevin Nash both agree and talk about how it's great that Scott looks better than he has in years and hope he keeps up the good work. It's now Scott's turn to talk... "Hey yo." The crowd goes nuts, and he smiles, but before he can say anything else, "Cult of Personality" hits, and the fans are booing their lungs out as Paul Heyman leads the WWE Champion, CM Punk, and former UFC Champion, Brock Lesnar, down to the ring. All three have very smug looks on their faces, with Brock trying to intimidate the Klique and even getting into Nash's face before Heyman and Punk hold him back. Heyman tells the Klique to enjoy this night while it lasts, because all the joy from tonight will be sucked out come Money In The Bank when Brock Lesnar destroys Kevin Nash. CM Punk then tells Miz that it won't be Miz softening him up, but the other way around, and that he may not even make it to Money In The Bank. Punk then tells Scott that he should have just been straight edge to begin with, and he would have never had the problems he had. Scott is ready to deck him, but Nash, Trips and HBK hold him back as he cools off. Triple H tells Heyman, Lesnar and Punk to leave the ring, or else there would be consequences that they would not like. Knowing he's not one to be messing around, the three heels think better of it and leave the ring, still looking all smug.</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">

Right before the finish, Beth had the ref distracted while she was down, with Lita having come during the match as if to watch Trish's back to make sure Natalya didn't come down to interfere. However, that wasn't the case as Lita slid into the ring, grabbed Trish and took her down with a Reverse Twist Of Fate, then slid right back out as the fans booed her. -The Rock comes down to the ring, live in front of a hot crowd that gives him a huge pop. "FINALLY... THE ROCK, HAS COME BACK, TO CIN-CI-NNA-TI!" The Rock then goes on to talk about Money In The Bank, and how he has been working out more than ever before to prove that this past WrestleMania was no fluke, as well as to keep his promise that he has come home. He said that at Money In The Bank, he was going to climb that ladder, grab that briefcase, shine it up real nice, turn that sum-bitch sideways and stick straight up the candy-ass of whoever the WWE Champion was when he decided he was ready to cash it in! The Rock went on for just a little bit more when Chris Jericho's music hit, and he came out to a big pop as well. He told Rock that he admired the fact that he was putting more of an effort into everything at the moment, but then wondered if he truly did want to come back home. No, no, no, Jericho said. Jericho said he knew what Rock's true motives were. He wanted to win Money In The Bank just so he could go back to Hollywood and just make movies for a year while not turning his back on the fans that made him who he is, just to come get a WWE Title match whenever he felt like it. Rock told Y2J that he was one to talk when it came to taking a break from WWE for other endeavors. Before they could come to blows, the interim co-GMs of Monday Night Raw, Theodore Long and Bret "Hitman" Hart, came out and told them they better put their differences aside now, because they have a tag team match tonight against Team Hell No, and that match is next!</span></strong></p><p><strong><span style="color:#FF0000;">

</strong><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">I'm very pleased with how everything turned out last night on Raw. There wasn't any bad chemistry when Scott Hall went out there with Alex Shelley to be his manager, so I may just go ahead and work out an angle where he becomes the manager for the Motor City Machine Guns. Speaking of Scott, it was great having that Klique reunion last night during the Miz TV segment, and having Paul Heyman, CM Punk and Brock Lesnar interrupt it was the icing on the cake.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

Despite not being the best in-ring talent out there, Kelly Kelly is pretty over, so I need to make sure to give her a win here pretty soon before fans start perceiving her as a jobber. Speaking of the divas, I really love how Lita's return went down. Everyone just assumed she'd be returning as a face, then surprise! She turns on Trish. It's going to be great to have Trish helping out the face divas while Lita helps out the heel divas.</span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;"> </span></em></strong></p><p><strong><em><span style="color:#191970;">

I'm liking how the Shield is coming along. Shawn and I felt that having them attack him last night would be good for them. I'm trying to get them in as many segments with over workers as I can, which should be good for them long term because I see big money with these three as a unit. Speaking of units, the WWE Tag Team Title tournament seems to be well received by the fans. I'm glad the New Age Outlaws had no problems putting over the Kings Of Wrestling. Road Dogg and Billy Gunn know that their time has come, but that doesn't mean they'll be total jobbers by any means. It's just that I'm not going to make them have to carry the tag team division, but rather help make it better with their tag team know-how. Now, to get ready for Main Event and Smackdown TV tapings.</span></em></strong></p></div><p></p><p></p>

Hate to do this, but in between trying to run my e-fed and putting together the Main Event mod, it might be best if I just close up this dynasty and simply post special happenings in threads such as "What's Going On In Your Game," "Deaths and Other Events" and "Random Screenshots." Besides, reading over it, I started running into what I was afraid of: the diary not really being anything special. *shrugs* My apologies to anyone who feels disappointed, all three of you. :p
