Frootloop Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Just an idea I had, really. I can't be the only one to think "I want workers X and Y to feud for this pay-per-view, but WHY?" Here's a place where you can put the idea out there and see what others come up with. I'll start us off with my inspiration. In a 2004 RW game, I want Shawn Michaels and Eddie Guerrero to feud over the WWE title at Summerslam. Michaels won a #1 contender match at the last PPV to set him up as the challenger, but they're currently both faces. I'm 4 weeks out from Summerslam and am about to turn Michaels, though I'm not sure exactly how or what motivation/reasoning I want to give him, heading into this big title match. EDIT: I already had them in a tag match against my tag team champions and Michaels, though he teased turning on Guerrero after I built to that finish all night, Superkicked Shelton Benjamin to get them the win, so that cliche is out the window.

Have Michaels turn because Eddie is the new face of the WWE and Michaels doesn't want to lost what he thinks is "his" spot. Throughout the RAW shows leading up to it have Michaels claim that he supports Eddie whilst getting progressively jealous, leading to a moment where Eddie calls him up about it and Michaels snaps and beats Eddie to a bloody pulp and shouting about he is "Mr. WWE" not Eddie.

I would probably keep them both as a face, at least for the first encounter. Play up the "proving he's 100%" and that "he can still go" aspects for Michaels. I would tease an Eddie heel turn, with him making comments about how HBK isn't the same guy he once was, no longer deserves a top spot, etc. Not overt enough to actually make him the heel, but enough to push him a little toward that. After the face-versus-face battle, I'd have Michaels turn, embracing his old "whatever it takes" manner in an effort to regain the top spot.
