May is really starting to feel the heat, and nowhere more so than HollyWeird. And to prove that, let's take a look at the stellar line-up of matches we've got on tap tonight.</p><p> </p><p>

Two tag teams will collide in singles action to open the show. <strong>Joel Bryant </strong>takes on the <strong>Night Rider</strong>, while <strong>Mayhem Midden</strong> faces off with <strong>Robert Oxford</strong>.</p><p> </p><p>

Tag team action itself is sure to follow; <strong>Mucha Lucha </strong>will look to rebound after their team captain lost his title last week, but they're against the pinnacle of Japanese Junior style in <strong>Joshuya & Ota</strong>. We can't tell you who'll win but we can predict you'll be dazzled!</p><p> </p><p>

And four teams collide in the ring immediately following that; the <strong>Black Serpent Cult </strong>hoping to notch up another significant win in the contendership struggle, the <strong>Demons of Rage</strong> looking to once again prove their dominance, the <strong>Nation of Filth</strong> and the <strong>Next Generation</strong>. This one promises to be a humdinger!</p><p> </p><p>

Brutality to follow; <strong>Charlie Homicide</strong> has mentioned <strong>the Hype</strong> before, in passing, as another candidate for whatever he thinks he's doing to Richie Pangrazzio Jr. Now they face off, and will the Hype head this madness off at the pass?</p><p> </p><p>

The <strong>Spirit Warriors</strong> don their masks again to face the new duo of <strong>Streets Run Red</strong>. It's little guy against big guy, and I've got to tell you, I'm rooting for the little guy.</p><p> </p><p>

In the semi-main event, <strong>Nemesis</strong> makes a rare solo showing against the talented rookie <strong>Black Cobra</strong>. Can the Cobra pull off the win of a lifetime?</p><p> </p><p>

And lastly, <strong>Teddy Flame</strong> looks to keep his singles record perfect as he goes head to head with <strong>Liberty</strong>.</p><p> </p><p>

All this, and you can expect to hear from Sam Strong, Romeo Heartthrob, the Young Bloods and many more! Plus the HollyWeird Girls!</p><p> </p><p>

PREDICTION KEY:</p><p> </p><p>

Joel Bryant vs. The Night Rider w/ Lady Melissa</p><p> </p><p>

Mayhem Midden w/ Lady Melissa vs. Robert Oxford</p><p> </p><p>

Mucha Lucha (Electrico & Mr Lucha) vs. Joshuya & Ota (Fumihiro Ota & Super Joshuya)</p><p> </p><p>

Black Serpent Cult (Cobra & Viper) vs. Demons of Rage (Demon Anger & Demon Spite) vs. the Nation of Filth (Grunt & Stink) vs. the Next Generation (Brent Hill & Bryan Holmes)</p><p> </p><p>

Charlie Homicide w/ Karen Killer vs. The Hype w/ Lady Melissa</p><p> </p><p>

Spirit Warriors (Dark EAGLE & Golden Fox) vs. Streets Run Red (Dusty Streets & Giant Redwood)</p><p> </p><p>

<em>The Untouchables are on the rise, the One Percenters aren't.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mayhem Midden</strong> w/ Lady Melissa vs. Robert Oxford</p><p>

<em>...But one of them has to win, I suppose, so whatever, give it to Midden.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mucha Lucha (Electrico & Mr Lucha)</strong> vs. Joshuya & Ota (Fumihiro Ota & Super Joshuya)</p><p>

<em>JOBBERS</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Black Serpent Cult (Cobra & Viper)</strong> vs. Demons of Rage (Demon Anger & Demon Spite) vs. the Nation of Filth (Grunt & Stink) vs. the Next Generation (Brent Hill & Bryan Holmes)</p><p>

<em>The Demons Of Rage are good, but the Black Serpent Cult have the better push right now, and the others are JOBBERS!</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Charlie Homicide</strong> w/ Karen Killer vs. The Hype w/ Lady Melissa</p><p>

<em>Because Charlie Lecter - I'm sorry, I mean Hannibal Homicide - I mean... **** it, he's just awesome.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Spirit Warriors (Dark EAGLE & Golden Fox) vs. <strong>Streets Run Red (Dusty Streets & Giant Redwood)</strong></p><p>

<em>Feed them some JOBBERS!</em></p><p> </p><p>

Black Cobra vs. <strong>Nemesis</strong></p><p>

<em>Everyone's a JOBBER to Nemesis.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Liberty vs. <strong>Teddy Flame</strong></p><p>

<p>Joel Bryant vs. <strong>The Night Rider w/ Lady Melissa</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Mayhem Midden w/ Lady Melissa vs. <strong>Robert Oxford</strong></p><p>

<em>I have these two matches going 1-1.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mucha Lucha (Electrico & Mr Lucha)</strong> vs. Joshuya & Ota (Fumihiro Ota & Super Joshuya)</p><p>

<em>Mr Lucha is the top guy here.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Black Serpent Cult (Cobra & Viper)</strong> vs. Demons of Rage (Demon Anger & Demon Spite) vs. the Nation of Filth (Grunt & Stink) vs. the Next Generation (Brent Hill & Bryan Holmes)</p><p>

<em>I could see Demons taking this too but since Cult seems to be feuding with Namesis and Baine next I figure they stay strong.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Charlie Homicide w/ Karen Killer</strong> vs. The Hype w/ Lady Melissa</p><p>

<em>Homicide is one of the standout characters so far, Hype... not so much, at least not in-ring, he´s shoot interviews have been good.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Spirit Warriors (Dark EAGLE & Golden Fox) vs. <strong>Streets Run Red (Dusty Streets & Giant Redwood)</strong></p><p>

<em>So I guess we will actually see Giant Redwood getting pushed. I have to say that I like the fact that you are willing to push guys like Valentine and Redwood as that just makes the story so much better and more realistic. </em></p><p> </p><p>

Black Cobra vs. <strong>Nemesis</strong></p><p>

<em>I don´t see Nemesis losing this one.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Liberty</strong> vs. Teddy Flame</p><p>

<em>Not sure on this but I figure it won´t be clean win either way and I believe that Joey Flame is the most likely guy to interfere here (though Chord is a close second).</em></p>

<p>Just as a question, who do you relate Peter Valentine to in terms of real life talents? I've always likened him to Lex Luger. And Giant Redwood as Kevin Nash, but with more entertainment value. </p><p> </p><p>

Edit: Also, you guys need to stop hating on Giant Redwood and Peter Valentine. Bloody Valentine was a guaranteed draw in all my USPW games, therefore they are a draw everywhere at all times. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Regis has told me he reads a little Kevin Nash into his shoot comments, but that's not intentional - I can see it now it's been pointed out, though.</p><p> </p><p> ...</p><p> </p><p> I hadn't thought that through until now. In match visualisations, I think you wouldn't go far wrong if you gave Bob Holly about four more inches in height and bulked him out a bit; a seasoned hand, but not one destined for greatness. Hard on rookies. SMW-era 'celeb heartbreaker' gimmick Bob Holly.</p><p> </p><p> Peter Valentine in my head is an amalgam of 80s upper midcarders. Not the guys who drew money, the guys who worked with the guys who drew money. Bob Holly's just the youngest of the breed I'm thinking of, a throwback to a previous generation's journeyman worker. But THIS journeyman worker has friends in high places.</p><p> </p><p> It's not enough to keep him over. You don't understand, Skylar. Peter Valentine isn't the one who draws. Sam Strong is the one who draws.</p>

<p><strong>Joel Bryant</strong> vs. The Night Rider w/ Lady Melissa</p><p>

<em>- Night Rider seems the weaker of the two, maybe based upon how PS used Midden in ANQR.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mayhem Midden</strong> w/ Lady Melissa vs. Robert Oxford</p><p>

<em>- Lady Melissa distracts? Rider interferes? Debut of the loaded headbutt? Shenanigans leads to a Midden victory.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mucha Lucha</strong> (Electrico & Mr Lucha) vs. Joshuya & Ota (Fumihiro Ota & Super Joshuya)</p><p>

<em>- Mr. Lucha is the most known of these masked men. Ota does something ninja-esque to capture the crowd's attention.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Black Serpent Cult</strong> (Cobra & Viper) vs. Demons of Rage (Demon Anger & Demon Spite) vs. the Nation of Filth (Grunt & Stink) vs. the Next Generation (Brent Hill & Bryan Holmes)</p><p>

<em>- BSC (not the Babes of Sin City) keep their momentum strong as they line up to challenge the Power of Hell.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Charlie Homicide w/ Karen Killer vs. The Hype w/ Lady Melissa</p><p>

<em>- No contest. Double DQ. I think this ends with a.... CATFIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT! (OR whatever the C-Verse equivalent is.)</em></p><p> </p><p>

Spirit Warriors (Dark EAGLE & Golden Fox) vs. <strong>Streets Run Red (Dusty Streets & Giant Redwood)</strong></p><p>

<em>- Break on through to the other side Spirit Warriors. Fly swiftly, run free. Do your job.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Black Cobra vs. <strong>Nemesis</strong></p><p>

<em>- It'll be a cold day in hell before a stone breaks open.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Liberty vs. <strong>Teddy Flame</strong></p><p>

<em>- Heyya Rip, what are you doing here?</em></p><p> </p><p>

***</p><p>

Valentine reads more like... Justin Credible to me... one of those Kliq satellite guys who only hung around due to connections. He's got a better look but he comes across as a dumber version of Shane Douglas. </p><p>

And I love Ox Baker and his magnificent mustachio!</p>

I think, sans the multiple personality disorder that he appeared to have in terms of his gimmick, that Valentine has a lot of similarities to Brutus Beefcake, and not just because he's best friends with the guy who is a lot like Hogan. I think there are definite parallels there... but that's just a random musing, I spose.

Sam Strong comes out as the song ends. He runs through a brief pose routine, flexing, and leans in toward Cherry Bomb, tapping his cheek. The heel laughs and heads in without a kiss, which Strong blows off with a cheerful wave of his hand as he heads down the ramp.</p><p> </p><p>

He collects a mic and climbs into the ring, then waits for the crowd reaction to die down.</p><p> </p><p>

“The Test of Steel,” he begins. “Shane Sneer built it, and Shane Sneer got scared... but I'm not Shane Sneer. And nor is Dread. He's willing to jump me from behind, he's willing to make it a war...</p><p> </p><p>

“A month ago that cage was a weapon in our hands, brother. A month ago we took each other as far as we could. But it wasn't enough, was it?” He shakes his head.</p><p> </p><p>

“Shane, you handed us a bigger weapon. You handed us a way to end this, brother, and I owe you for that. I don't trust you, but I owe you.</p><p> </p><p>

“Dread...”</p><p> </p><p>

He lets the silence drag out, and eventually raises the mic back to his lips. “You know, I'm done talking, brother. We'll say everything we've got to say to each other in two weeks.”</p><p> </p><p>

Joel Bryant vs. The Night Rider w/ Lady Melissa</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Not a great match, but also not too bad. The Rider has control for most of it, with Bryant simply looking to whittle his reserves down; “outlast the older man,” as Rhodes puts it, before Azaria substitutes 'competitor'.</p><p> </p><p>

It nearly works, but even with a seriously worn-down arm, the Rider manages to connect with the Eagle's Wings and picks up the pin.</p><p>

Rating: <strong>D</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Mayhem Midden w/ Lady Melissa vs. Robert Oxford</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Oxford has a similar plan to Bryant, it seems, but instead of targeting an arm he's working on blows to the head, shoulders, and neck, gradually rocking him more and more. A snapmare followed by a kick to the back of the head completes the workover; Midden collapses.</p><p> </p><p>

When we come back from commercial, the ring has been covered by a green carpet inlaid with intricate gold whorls. On that carpet is a table. On either side of that table is a chair. And on those chairs, being booed as if they'd just spent all commercial break insulting the audience, are Rocky Constantino and Romeo Heartthrob. Heartthrob is in the process of taking the mic from his younger protege.</p><p> </p><p>

“Settle down, settle down,” he purrs. “Well... in the case of the ladies, settle down as much as you can, anyway, with me in sight.” His pecs dance a little as he smirks.</p><p> </p><p>

“Last week, you witnessed perfection. And the perfection you witnessed wrestled Mr Lucha, for his title, and it took from him what evidently matters more to that man than his family.</p><p> </p><p>

“I won't lie, ladies. Holding this...” He lifts up the Cruiserweight belt with his other hand. “It makes my... <em>heart</em>... throb.</p><p> </p><p>

“But it's not new. I had it to start with. Lucha spoiled my fun. But I have it again, you see.</p><p> </p><p>

“Ladies, scream if you want me to spoil Lucha's fun.”</p><p> </p><p>

The response isn't quite what he'd want it to be, but he doesn't seem to notice that. He just smiles.</p><p> </p><p>

“As always, ladies, Romeo Heartthrob was <em>created</em> to be the answer to your wish.”</p><p> </p><p>

And he lays the belt down on the table. “Rocky Constantino, I confer my status as Cruiserweight Champion upon you. Take it, defend it, and assure us all that Mr Lucha has nothing to be so superior about.”</p><p> </p><p>

The fans shower the pair with boos – especially as the arrogant Constantino raises the belt as if he'd rightfully won it – and <em>Cancion del Mariachi</em> hits. With the tune come Mucha Lucha, and an all-out brawl ensues, culminating in synchronised suicide somersault planchas from the luchadores before Constantino catches Lucha in the head with the belt.</p><p> </p><p>

“I'd want answers, too,” Azaria says.</p><p> </p><p>

“Well, you went looking to know more about the wrestlers,” Rhodes replies. “Do you have any?”</p><p> </p><p>

By the time we're back to the ring, Joshuya & Ota are joining the luchadores. Ryan Holland checks Ota over for weapons, disregards the other three, and lets the match get under way.</p><p> </p><p>

High-flying ensues, popping the crowd fairly well, though they don't yet care about many of these figures. Ota tries some shenanigans, almost pinning Electrico before Lucha breaks it up. Ota bails, Joshuya comes in; he tries going high risk and Lucha capitalises, hitting the Master Drop and getting the victory.</p><p>

Nation of Filth vs. Next Generation</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The crowd really wake up for this one, as four teams work hard for the sixteen minutes the battle runs. </p><p> </p><p>

With four men legal at any time and another four watching their allies' back or looking for opportunities to strike, the action never slows down, and the Nation and Generation in particular get chances to shine that they otherwise might not – Grunt and Stink executing a double-powerbomb that lifts both members of the Generation at once is an early point in the match, while the Generation, once recovered, come back; Holmes locks a punishing armbar on Demon Spite and holds it while Brent Hill flies from the second rope, executing a midair neckbreaker that's also a huge shoulder-wrench.</p><p> </p><p>

Azaria will end up calling that the match's pivot; it prevents Spite from pulling his weight during a Double Demon Down attempt on Cobra, and he's therefore able to land cleanly. Tagging in Viper, the Cult turn the tide, coming to dominate, with Viper ultimately pinning Grunt – quick and dirty, with a cradle, to ensure the pin before it can be interrupted; but pinning him nonetheless.</p><p>

Charlie Homicide w/ Karen Killer vs. The Hype w/ Lady Melissa</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

There's something about these two in the ring together that simply, absolutely works. For the first time since his arrival, the Hype is in the ring with someone who has a holy trinity; a reputation that makes the fans care, the talent to get the Hype over, and a willingness to use it.</p><p> </p><p>

Both men rise to the occasion, the Hype nearly scoring pinfalls over Homicide three times before Charlie finally puts him away – his own fourth close-run thing being what seals the deal, delivering a variant brainbuster to Homicide's knee to do it.</p><p>

<em>Got Me Under Pressure</em> begins to play, and with it come the Vessey Brothers – and, slightly more surprisingly, Richie Pangrazzio Jr. Conspicuous by his absence is Richie's father.</p><p> </p><p>

“All right,” Junior demands. “What the hell have you done?”</p><p> </p><p>

“<em>What have you done with my father?</em>”</p><p> </p><p>

“He's done nothing,” Karen Killer offers, coolly, having acquired a microphone. Homicide snickers.</p><p> </p><p>

“I give you my word,” she continues. “If we had something to do with... whatever has happened to your father... then you would know what had happened to your father.</p><p> </p><p>

“That is how my man is. But... if I can ask...</p><p> </p><p>

“It's the action of a boy to need rescuing by his father. A man can stand alone and proud.</p><p> </p><p>

“After all this time my man has spent, trying to make you understand, trying to bring you to full manhood... are you failing so badly?”</p><p> </p><p>

Another audible snicker from Homicide.</p><p> </p><p>

The Team stare down Homicide and Killer. Bryan Vessey, easily the youngest, shifts edgily, uneasy at Homicide's deranged stare. Richie's jaw works, but no answer emerges.</p><p> </p><p>

The broadcast cuts to commercial.</p><p> </p><p>

Spirit Warriors vs. Streets Run Red</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The match degenerates fast. Streets Run Red keep up a steady stream of what Rhodes calls “four-count cheating”; nothing that will cause a DQ but more than enough to test Sam Sparrow's patience. Their focus is almost entirely on Golden Fox, hitting EAGLE only when it's necessary to keep him from making a tag.</p><p> </p><p>

There doesn't seem much interest in making the pin, either, early on. “They're in this to send a message,” Azaria declares. “And frankly, I think they're looking at Golden Fox as a Sam Strong they can beat up with impunity.”</p><p> </p><p>

The beating finally stops. Dusty kicks EAGLE off the apron; Redwood picks up his first HGC win after a Standing Splash on Fox.</p><p>

The Cobra flies like an angel. Nemesis fights like the devil. It's a good context, and one that has the crowd interested; the same people who accept the Powers of Hell as an unstoppable force of nature are also eating up the narrative that this man might have a chance... </p><p> </p><p>

And, for a while there, it looks like he does, before the Nemesis Arrow stops him, hit out of nowhere.</p><p>

Liberty vs. Teddy Flame</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Teddy Flame cements the image of him as a man who can hang at the very top levels of singles competition here. There's little that's outright dastardly in his performance, but it's clear nonetheless that he's keeping up with Liberty, a man who's pushed Rip Chord to the limit.</p><p> </p><p>

And it's equally clear that Liberty isn't going slow. He wants this win, here in the main event., He's determined to notch up some victories, to prove his style of wrestling should be respected. And you do <em>not</em> wisely mess with Texas.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://s293.photobucket.com/user/trenchcoatbrigand/media/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/JoeyFlame_zps01ddda2e.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/JoeyFlame_zps01ddda2e.jpg</span></a></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Back and forth goes the battle, but in the end, finally, Joey Flame catches up with his brother. He shows up ringside, trying to get Teddy's attention the only place he's been able to find him. Teddy hesitates a time or two; Liberty starts to get the upper hand, and little by little that pushes it over the edge. The Liberation Slam settles it.</p><p>

Teddy bails through the crowd, pursued by his brother, and <em>Heartbreaker</em> begins to play. Peter Valentine and Charlie Thatcher appear.</p><p> </p><p>

“Think about what I said, Ricky,” he says. “You think about what you have, and what Sean doesn't.</p><p> </p><p>

“Whose fault is that, cowboy? Who really deserves what?</p><p> </p><p>

“There's a responsibility that comes with what you did. You have to accept it. It's the only reasonable thing to do.”</p><p> </p><p>

“I feel like I should interject at this point,” J.K. Stallings offers, from his office. “This is a business point, after all.</p><p> </p><p>

“At the start of May our various television deals were almost up and it was time to renew them. We'd started out with deals I felt were pretty good; the various networks showing us across the country had taken some of the burden of the setup costs. We got enough ad revenue to turn a profit.</p><p> </p><p>

“Six months later, our ratings had slowly crept up. We'd never heard any complaints. But we go to re-up, and all of a sudden we're locked out. To re-up we take all the costs. We get none of the ad money.” He frowns.</p><p> </p><p>

“At the time I re-upped out of stubbornness. We'd been turning a profit every month up til then. I'd thrown a lot of money into the bank account. I figured we could take it.</p><p> </p><p>

“However, Nemesis pointed something out – we'd be a lot less vulnerable if there was an alternative.</p><p> </p><p>

“And the week after we re-upped, our ratings jumped... I think it was something like a whole point, but I'd have to check. Anyway, that got us a much better deal, which is where <em>Too Much For Tuesdays</em> came in.</p><p> </p><p>

“It wasn't a plan I'd intended on, I admit.”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>–</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s293.photobucket.com/user/trenchcoatbrigand/media/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/BryanHolmes_zpse78aa7a4.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/BryanHolmes_zpse78aa7a4.jpg</span></a></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

“So much shit went down in May,” Bryan Holmes, hanging out in the foreground of the custom cycle shop he co-owns, remembers. “Backstage, I mean. Guys got signed like crazy, partly because when people heard there was a TV show coming, some of the guys – mentioning no names – started bitching about how often they'd have to work TV. I mean...”</p><p> </p><p>

He sighs.</p><p> </p><p>

“There was a feeling among some of the veterans that they were getting paid the same whether they worked or not. Some of them didn't want to work. I'm not going to mention any names – I don't do that, and besides, I think some of the new guys, guys who came in when I did, only wanted to be on the whole time to improve their deal in another three years so they could take it easy.</p><p> </p><p>

“Mid-May everyone who booked went into a huddle the rest of us weren't allowed near. Rip Chord joined them, because Rip Chord does that.</p><p> </p><p>

“It turned out that after they called the Maple Leafs out of development, they went on a bit of a hiring spree for it. They were hashing out the list. And things began to get clearer once we started hearing who was being approached.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>–</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s293.photobucket.com/user/trenchcoatbrigand/media/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/TheHype_zps5b660eaf.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/TheHype_zps5b660eaf.jpg</span></a></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

“Yeah,” Todd Cusson nods. “Nobody from DaVE got signed. Whistler and Ota came off their original short-term wait-and-see deals onto deals that locked them up from Philly Pro and Coastal Zone. We'd already taken the Heat, and Karloff had had a month with us. Future was on board. Now we were bringing in Brandon... actually, no, the Tiger was already with LSW, I stand corrected... and then we threw out offers to Colossus, Sammy Bach, Ernie Turner, Jesse Christian...</p><p> </p><p>

“Like, half the East Coast War outside of DaVE were with us by that stage. And that's when it became really clear Nemesis and Tommy were working together.</p><p> </p><p>

“Which was when I called Tommy, and we talked for like an hour one night. I couldn't go down there, my contract was ironclad, but I was really curious to see what we'd get out of this. Because for them to be working together... I knew Tommy wouldn't do that if he wasn't sold on a long-term plan. As long as I've known him, Tommy Cornell has been about long-term plans for his career.”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>–</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s293.photobucket.com/user/trenchcoatbrigand/media/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/PaulSteadyfast_zps24fcbe23.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/PaulSteadyfast_zps24fcbe23.jpg</span></a></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

“People talk about the war between us and the SWF, you know,” Paul Steadyfast says. “And they talk about the time we started to catch them in the ratings, but they also talk about the bidding wars. When Rip's contract came due, that sort of thing.</p><p> </p><p>

“What people forget is the first of those. A bidding war over a manager.” He grins. “Not even a widely-known manager. Louis Williams was pretty good but his big break was, what, two years before? I'd worked with him on the indies back in '94.</p><p> </p><p>

“And he was getting... I'm not sure of the details, but when his contract came due SWF offered him six grand a month, three year contract, something like that. Way I hear it, Rip Chord says to Stallings, 'He's the one. Bid on him.' So Stallings offered, like, seven grand.</p><p> </p><p>

“And Rip was totally right. It was a tipping point for Richard Eisen. He offers four years, eight grand.</p><p> </p><p>

“It went back and forth a couple more times, and Rip was laughing before Williams even made up his mind. He told Stallings the dirtsheet headlines were worth nine and a half a month on their own. But he said even better was Richard Eisen having to hike his paychecks, because that was going to make the whole SWF pay attention.</p><p> </p><p>

“Stallings could out-money them any time, if he could be persuaded. May was, I think, when he got serious about doing what it took.</p><p> </p><p>

“I don't know why.”</p>

<strong>Frankie Future</strong> impressed against Monty Walker at the last PPV and has since been stirring the pot with questions. Tuesday night he looks to achieve a victory, facing off with <strong>Mario Heroic</strong> with both men in search of their first win in HollyWeird.</p><p> </p><p>

New arrivals next; the <strong>Untouchables</strong> will do tag battle with new team the <strong>Maple Leafs</strong>. Calling themselves Grinder and Slapshot, these two Canadian hockey fans come to us out of small but plucky wrestling company Lightning Strike Wrestling and will be looking to score an instant goal in HGC.</p><p> </p><p>

Young Blood have shown their discipline and their skill before. Liberty's arranged for <strong>Paul Blood</strong> to take on <strong>Jimmy Power</strong> in a test of his in-ring capability at this moment in time.</p><p> </p><p>

She's won on PPV. Her opponent has yet to wrestle on HGC television. The Heart of Stone takes on the Warrior Princess in a battle sure to impress; it's <strong>Ayesha</strong> against <strong>Victoria</strong>.</p><p> </p><p>

The <strong>World Heavyweight Championship</strong> will be on the line next. <strong>Sam Strong</strong> defends against <strong>The Insane Heat</strong> - who's been champion elsewhere. But can the 'intelligent psychopath', as diagnosed by Charlie Homicide, outwit the ultimate hero?</p><p> </p><p>

After interrupting a title concession ceremony last week it seems <strong>Mucha Lucha</strong> are out for blood. <strong>Rocky Constantino and Romeo Heartthrob</strong> will need to have their wits about them if they want to survive the Mexican training of the two luchadors!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Joel Bryant</strong> becomes the third member of the Untouchables to be seen in action tonight. His opponent? The first client of a woman who's taken a real dislike to the Untouchables; it's <strong>the Hype</strong>. But can he live up to it?</p><p> </p><p>

In the semi-main event, <strong>Monty Walker teams with Richie Pangrazzio Jr</strong> against <strong>Rip Chord and Teddy Flame</strong>. Everyone in this contest has a statement to make with regard both to current nemeses and the World Heavyweight Championship; whose statement will be heard?</p><p> </p><p>

Finally, we round the evening off with <strong>the Vessey Brothers</strong> going head to head with <strong>the Demons of Rage</strong>. After recent shakeups in the tag division, it's anyone's guess who'll challenge for the belts next; a win here might help answer that question.</p><p> </p><p>

<p><strong>Frankie Future</strong> vs. Mario Heroic</p><p>

<em>This is bit of a coin flip but while I like Heroic more, I think that Future has done slighly more at this point and thus is more liekly to pick up the win.</em></p><p> </p><p>

The Maple Leafs (Grinder & Slapshot) vs. <strong>The Untouchables (Paul Steadyfast & Robert Oxford)</strong></p><p>

<em>Untouchables are doing well currently so I don´t see them losing to pair of guys who make their first appearance in HGC.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Paul Blood w/ Liberty vs. <strong>Jimmy Power</strong></p><p>

<em>You ahve already shown that you aren´t afraid of putting less talented guys over and at this moment Power is still the bigger name.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Nope, Insane Heat isn´t going to win this time.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Mucha Lucha (Electrico & Mr Lucha) </strong>vs. Rocky Constantino & Romeo Heartthrob</p><p>

<em>Named team over non-named one plus Mr Lucha gets some payback after losing the Cruiserweight title so quickly.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>Hype is the singles guy on this one so he goes over.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<em>I would probably go with Chord even if he wouldn´t have a paartner at all.</em></p><p> </p><p>

The Demons of Rage (Demon Anger & Demon Spite) vs. <strong>the Vessey Brothers (Bryan & Larry Vessey)</strong></p><p>

<em>Vessey Brothers look like more likely challengers for tag titles (though Demons would certainly be interesting too) so they get the win here.</em></p>
