Richie Pangrazzio emerges, mic in hand, and pauses to raise a fist in salute to Victoria. Reese watches him head to the ring with a slight pout.</p><p> </p><p>

Someone has hopped up onto the guardrail as Richie draws level, and then hurtles forward, colliding with Richie using a flying lariat. Uncharacteristically airborne, as they continue to assault the Hardcore Champion they're revealed to be Genghis Rahn.</p><p> </p><p>

Richie squirms clear of the punch barrage and boots him in the gut. A hard whip sends Rahn into the guardrail, but the Arizona Assassin seems to shrug off the impact, roaring back with a straight right, a knee to the gut, and a DDT on the steel ramp that busts the champion open.</p><p> </p><p>

Fumihiro Ota vs. Jason Jackson</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

'New School' walks with purpose across his face. It's difficult to read for Ota, of course, given the mask, but the match itself makes it very clear; they're both considering this an important one to win. Jackson fights hard and, if anything, Ota fights smarter.</p><p> </p><p>

New School slowly weathers the storm, however, and ultimately suplexes Ota into a turnbuckle, following up by clamping down the Three-Day Suspension.</p><p>

The One Percenters w/ Lady Melissa vs. The Tag Team Specialists</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Troy Tornado shows up before the match, sitting himself down at the commentary table and taking up the vacant third headset. The match itself shows both teams at their best, with each team demonstrating remarkable tactical cohesion, the Percenters slower but with a distinct power advantage.</p><p> </p><p>

Paul Steadyfast shows up late in the match as Ryan Holland gets in the face of Joel Bryant. He chop blocks Midden's leg out from under him, and combines with Oxford to stereo suplex the Night Rider onto him, then rolls the Rider out of the ring so Bryant can pin Midden.</p><p>

Peter Valentine and Charlie Thatcher are sat backstage, their feet up on a table. Valentine is smoking a cigar and Thatcher has a couple of beer bottles next to him, and they're both looking at hands of cards. There's a fair amount of money in crumpled bills in the centre of the table.</p><p> </p><p>

As the camera shifts position, we see Thatcher's hand, and get confirmation that the deck of cards is a nudie-pic deck. Thatcher pauses, then tosses another bill onto the table.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://s293.photobucket.com/user/trenchcoatbrigand/media/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/RickyDaleJohnson_zpsbd30bf4a.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/RickyDaleJohnson_zpsbd30bf4a.jpg</span></a><a href="http://s293.photobucket.com/user/trenchcoatbrigand/media/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/ShaneSneer_zpsdc151672.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/ShaneSneer_zpsdc151672.jpg</span></a></div><p></p><p></p><p>

And then the door slams open. Cowboy Ricky Dale storms in – and behind him, impeccably suited but with his hair still rumpled after the last disruption is Shane Sneer.</p><p> </p><p>

“So where is she?” Dale demands.</p><p> </p><p>

“Where's who?” Valentine asks. He seems actually surprised.</p><p> </p><p>

“You know damn well,” Dale drawls with murderous coldness.</p><p> </p><p>

After a moment, Shane Sneer breaks in. “I'm here to make things official,” he says, “because we received a phone call from the police back in Texas.</p><p> </p><p>

“A young woman's missing. A young woman who I'm told everyone round her home town knows is stepping out with Cowboy Ricky here. And on talking to Ricky, it was his opinion you're the ones who'd mess with him.”</p><p> </p><p>

Thatcher and Valentine exchange looks. They really do seem utterly bewildered; after a couple of moments Dale's anger twists into puzzlement. “You... seriously?”</p><p> </p><p>

Thatcher chuckles. “Probably too young for me,” he comments. Sneer's lip curls in disdain.</p><p> </p><p>

And then, with a loud crack of shattering glass, the lights pop and go out. There's a couple of seconds of the sound of painful impacts before the feed, too, cuts out, draining into static.</p><p> </p><p>

The Maple Leafs vs. The Nation of Filth vs. Young Blood</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

There are, again, elements of a good match here, but the transitions between them are awkward, not to say terrible, and the crowd just aren't interested yet. Rhodes and Azaria do their best to get everyone interested, but there's only so much that can be done.</p><p> </p><p>

Ultimately Grunt lays Slapshot out, securing the pin while Stink holds Richard Blood at bay.</p><p>

Phoenix II vs. Romeo Heartthrob</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Little fan support behind Phoenix II here, but he does at least have support from many who want a hurting put on Heartthrob; that, and the fact they work together as if old friends, really makes this contest work, at least to the degree it does.</p><p> </p><p>

Heartthrob gives Phoenix a lot of room to strut his stuff, but in the end there isn't much surprise; Romeo boots him in the groin while Eugene Williams can't see, rams his shoulder into the ringpost, then brings him back in and clamps down the Cupid's Clutch, forcing not just a victory but a 'humiliating' submission.</p><p>

We find ourselves again looking at a faded wrestling ring in a dusty field under the hot Mexican sun. Phoenix II and Electrico are both in the ring, working with a pair of young, wiry teens who show astonishing agility.</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://s293.photobucket.com/user/trenchcoatbrigand/media/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/MrLuchaIII_zps35ef880c.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/MrLuchaIII_zps35ef880c.jpg</span></a></div><p></p><p></p><p>

“Tradition,” Mr Lucha's smooth, measured tones say. “Family. Heritage. These words have meaning everywhere... not just Mexico, and not just to luchadores.</p><p> </p><p>

“They are the source of our courage, our strength. Our heritage is embodied in our masks. Our family wear them and have worn them. And our tradition has made us warriors.</p><p> </p><p>

“We come now for another two nations to see our tradition. We come now to prove that we stand among the world's wrestlers.</p><p> </p><p>

“The art of the luchador is the one art truly lost to the United States of America. The Japanese junior is known. The 'hardcore' brawler, he is known. The English and European technicians live on, and together, they inform the American wrestler. He takes of these traditions. He draws on the strengths.</p><p> </p><p>

“He is not a fool to do so. An American wrestler is strong because he has learned from everyone. And I am no fool.” Lucha turns to look into the camera. “I know you will learn from our traditions. But we have always learned to adapt to these things. Our tradition grows strong and evolves.</p><p> </p><p>

The Powers of Hell vs. Shining Force</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Shining Force are surprisingly productive here, showing what they can do and getting a surprising amount of offence in against the tag team champions, even flooring Bubb with a superkick/leg sweep combo.</p><p> </p><p>

It's good – it's strong, in point of fact – but the Powers of Hell are able to make a comeback with some ease toward the end, and at that point Nemesis is smirking. Bubb lays the Great Hisato out with a Hades Bomb, pinning with a foot on his chest and a bestial roar.</p><p>

Mr. Lucha vs. Saionji Omura</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Lucha and Omura... it's a weird hybrid, and Rhodes spends a bit of it discussing Lucha's analysis of different traditions, comparing their offence and seeing who comes out on top.</p><p> </p><p>

The answer is, by and large, Lucha, who among other things manages to counter a chokeslam into an elegant armdrag takedown which flows into a pincover, though Omura kicks out. </p><p> </p><p>

The Japanese man seems to rely on fury and endurance, which goes well until Lucha avoids a charge, floating over Omura to land a flying cutter, then follows up with the Master Drop to make the pin.</p><p>

Back from commercial ahead of the main event, and Louis Williams and Whistler begin heading to the ring, <em>Rockin' In The Free World</em> blaring from the speakers. The pair are talking animatedly, and halfway down the ramp Whistler bursts out laughing at some private joke.</p><p> </p><p>

Once in the ring, as Eugene Williams checks Whistler for concealed weapons, the Worm does the Worm across the ring. </p><p> </p><p>

Rip Chord heads down to the ring, and as he does, Jason Azaria brings up that Shane Sneer has yet to announce the World Heavyweight Championship match for this Sunday. He mentions Rip and Whistler as two of the potential candidates, “to say nothing of Dread, Liberty... Mr Lucha... Charlie Homicide... Teddy Flame... and to my mind, maybe even Richie Pangrazzio.”</p><p> </p><p>

“Junior,” Rhodes says.</p><p> </p><p>

Rip Chord vs. Whistler w/ Louis Williams</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

The bell rings... and Whistler moves faster than anyone expects, rolling his shoulder as he bursts forward, levelling Chord with a lariat right off the bat.</p><p> </p><p>

That sets the tone for much of the contest; Chord knows Whistler, but the big man is moving with an assurance not hitherto seen in HGC. He's a little faster, and seems to be hitting a little harder. On the other hand, Rip Chord is Rip Chord, and for all that Whistler is making a hell of a showing, Chord still manages to shut him down several times, and shows his usual skill in twisting or moving so as to absorb impacts better.</p><p> </p><p>

Whistler finally gets worn down a little too much, and the Rip Chord DDT puts him down... but as Azaria says before signing off the air, “sometimes you look at a match and the man you're impressed with is the one who lost.”</p><p>

“We 'ad a week in Hawai'i, some time June the first full year,” Grunt recalls, lounging in a ridiculously overcomfortable office chair, watching as customers look over the custom Harley's in the main area of his bike shop. “I know that was when I started hanging out with the Bloods. </p><p> </p><p>

“Me and Ricky Blood really hit it off – he still buys his bikes here, matter of fact, and we've never finished a deal without a drinking session...</p><p> </p><p>

“Anyway, there was kind of an incident... We emptied one of the hotel bars. And Mr Stallings, I'll give him credit, he didn't take anyone <em>else's</em> rights to the company paying their tab away.”</p><p> </p><p>

<p>That 52 large is nothing compared to the money Stallings is burning by not hiring Big Smack Scott to be a main eventer. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Just curious: Have the DeBones segments fallen into the usual stupid TEW overness trap, or is DeBones actually in the process of maybe kinda sorta almost getting over?</p>

It's the last week before Excessive Force and Shane Sneer has promised PPV decisions tonight... but he's also promised our usual high-speed action. Up first, the <strong>Next Generation</strong> lock horns with the sheer power of <strong>Savage Fury</strong>. The Generation keep fighting despite their losses... but will that ever turn things around?</p><p> </p><p>

Four men enter the ring again in the match to follow, but this time all are on their own. <strong>Charlie Thatcher</strong> takes on <strong>Dread</strong> takes on <strong>Electrico</strong> takes on <strong>Mario Heroic</strong>. We know who our money's on... but with four in the ring things can sometimes change very fast.</p><p> </p><p>

One on one next, as Charlie Homicide's protege faces down <strong>the Hype</strong>. His name, we're told, is <strong>Babylon</strong>...</p><p> </p><p>

The <strong>Demons of Rage</strong> will round out the first hour. Their opponents? <strong>Black Cobra and the Human Arsenal</strong> - two dangerous foes, whatever their record may say.</p><p> </p><p>

More tag action to follow sees the duo of <strong>Joshuya & Ota</strong> do battle with <strong>Shining Force</strong>. It's the greatest in Japanese Junior style right here in America!</p><p> </p><p>

And after that, <strong>Hollywood Mike Kinsey</strong> gets his biggest match to date. Tonight he collides with <strong>Liberty</strong>. So where does the laidback warrior lie on the Kinsey Scale?</p><p> </p><p>

A former tag team legend does battle with a present one following that, as <strong>Larry Vessey </strong>faces off against <strong>Teddy Flame</strong>. And who's going to get the advantage in this one...?</p><p> </p><p>

And in the main event <strong>Rip Chord</strong> rides again; the latest warrior seeking to topple him, though, might just do it, as the first man to challenge him in HGC steps up to it. <strong>Cowboy Ricky Dale</strong> is back in the saddle!</p><p> </p><p>

Next Generation (Brent Hill & Bryan Holmes) vs. Savage Fury (Java & Tribal Warrior)

Next Generation has got much more screen time recently so I go with them.

Charlie Thatcher vs. Dread vs. Electrico vs. Mario Heroic

Hard to see past Dread here.

Babylon vs. The Hype w/ Lady Melissa

This is a tough one as I have little idea on either guy but I go with debut (at least I think it´s his in-ring debut) win for Babylon.

Demons of Rage (Demon Anger & Demon Spite) vs. Black Cobra & Human Arsenal

Black Cobra and Human Arsenal are big names one day but not yet and I doubt they would go over one of your top tag teams.

Joshuya & Ota (Super Joshuya & Fumihiro Ota) vs. Shining Force (Dark EAGLE & the Great Hisato)

Two teams who had lost more than won so far so not sure which one is higher on the ladders. I go with personal preference here and that means that Ota is getting the win.

Hollywood Mike Kinsey vs. Liberty

Liberty has been doing more.

Larry Vessey vs. Teddy Flame

Could go either way but somehow I still see Larry as bigger name.

Cowboy Ricky Dale vs. Rip Chord

Ricky Dale does have the skills to beat Chord but interference is likely here and that won´t play on Dale´s favor.

Next Generation (Brent Hill & Bryan Holmes) vs. Savage Fury (Java & Tribal Warrior)

Savage fury have only appeared to lose so far, so I'm guessing that trend continues.

Charlie Thatcher vs. Dread vs. Electrico vs. Mario Heroic

One of these four men is Dread.

Babylon vs. The Hype w/ Lady Melissa

Babylon is coming in with more hype behind him, so I'm thinking he'll pick up the victory.

Demons of Rage (Demon Anger & Demon Spite) vs. Black Cobra & Human Arsenal

Established vets vs future prospects, got to give it to the Demons right now.

Joshuya & Ota (Super Joshuya & Fumihiro Ota) vs. Shining Force (Dark EAGLE & the Great Hisato)

Both teams have lost a lot but Shining Force took the champs to the limit last time out.

Hollywood Mike Kinsey vs. Liberty

Liberty has just been more active.

Larry Vessey vs. Teddy Flame

I think Teddy will push Larry to the edge

Cowboy Ricky Dale vs. Rip Chord

Further down the line this would be more of a pick 'em situation, right now Chord should pick up the win.

After the dance ends the cameras go backstage. Paul Steadyfast is in the interview area with the rest of the Untouchables. Bryant and Oxford look, as they almost always do outside matches, disinterested; this is their job, and they know they do it well, and winning is enough to settle that for them. Troy Tornado has his usual arrogant smirk.</p><p> </p><p>

Steadyfast, slightly unusually, is prowling back and forth in front of them.</p><p> </p><p>

“You haven't yet, Monty,” he says. “But I'm giving you the chance again, now.</p><p> </p><p>

“If I receive your belt on Thursday, I don't have to injure you for it Sunday. I know you've got another match around then – so don't run the risk.</p><p> </p><p>

“I'll have your belt soon. I don't care if I get it in the ring or because you can't take what we're gonna do any more. I'll get it either way.</p><p> </p><p>

Next Generation vs. Savage Fury</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Strong stuff in places; the two young teams both have a certain amount of promise visible, though neither are perfect yet – but Next Generation are looking like they just might be, sometime very soon.</p><p> </p><p>

And it's the Next Generation who win this; Holmes gets clear of Java's powerslam and nails him with the Cyclone Shock Kick, tags Brent in, and runs to another corner. Hill comes off the top onto Java with the King of the Hill, and Holmes soars to intercept Tribal Warrior with a dropkick.</p><p>

The Silver Screen of HollyWeird comes to life once again, and once again we see Sam Strong via satellite link-up. Perhaps to the surprise of many viewers, Strong is still in the hospital bed; he hasn't even gotten out to begin rehab yet.</p><p> </p><p>

In what is perhaps a nice touch and perhaps an accident, hanging from the headrest are a bra and a nurse's cap.</p><p> </p><p>

“I've been keeping tabs, brother,” he begins. “Watching HGC while I've been gone. Every one of my fans knows you have to know what's coming down the pipe at you. And I've gotta say, for the most part, I've been impressed. Everyone wants to step up and claim that spot at the top – my spot.</p><p> </p><p>

“Now, the doctors tell me I'm healing faster'n anyone else they've seen take this kind of punishment, brother, and I aim to be back there before too long, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when I get back.</p><p> </p><p>

“But for now, I'm just here to offer my opinion – and it's an informed opinion, brother – about who should be the next champ.</p><p> </p><p>

“In my opinion, hands down, the man who deserves to be the second ever World Heavyweight Champion is Whistler. Now-”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><a href="http://s293.photobucket.com/user/trenchcoatbrigand/media/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/ShaneSneer_zpsdc151672.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/ShaneSneer_zpsdc151672.jpg</span></a></div><p></p><p></p><p>

<em>Takin' Care Of Business</em> hits, but this time Shane Sneer doesn't emerge. Instead, the Silver Screen splitscreens, and Sneer appears beside Sam.</p><p> </p><p>

“Point well taken, Sam,” he says. “I'm not going to deny a champion's opinion. But this is HollyWeird, and we do <em>not</em> have management simply appoint champions.” Big noise from the crowd at this, as they're very aware of a recent 'appointment' storyline in SWF where Sid Streets was simply handed the vacant North American Championship – vacated after Nemesis left.</p><p> </p><p>

Sneer rides out the loud reaction with a smirk, tben continues. “Before this show goes off the air, everyone's going to know what the title match will be at Excessive Force. And yes, Sam, Whistler just moved up my candidate list on your endorsement.</p><p> </p><p>

“Let's hope he can prove you right.”</p><p> </p><p>

Grudgingly, Strong nods. “Good enough, brother.”</p><p> </p><p>

Charlie Thatcher vs. Dread vs. Electrico vs. Mario Heroic</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

What a fight. Dread and Thatcher bring power. Thatcher and Electrico bring speed. Dread and Heroic bring the airborne. Electrico and Heroic bring the technical. And the result is a much better-received match than you'd potentially have expected given the gulf in fan recognition.</p><p> </p><p>

It's Dread's match to lose, of course, and he doesn't, but Thatcher does a good job repeatedly of making it look like he might sneak a pin while Dread isn't looking. In the end, though, it's the Dread Bomb to Mario Heroic that settles the score.</p><p>

Babylon vs. the Hype w/ Lady Melissa</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

This one's something of a brawl, and it's not helped by coming so close on the heels of a match dominated by Dread and Charlie Thatcher. Still, it's not bad by any means, and the crowd wake up a few times – Babylon takes both men out of the ring with a frankly suicidal clothesline, and the Hype backdrops him into the front row during the ensuing punch-up.</p><p> </p><p>

Experience under the bright lights pays off in the end, with Hype landing the Greatest Hits to score the pinfall.</p><p>

Demons of Rage vs. Black Cobra & Human Arsenal</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

A very good showing here by either side; Rhodes sells on commentary the idea that Cobra seems comfortable, somehow, teaming with an unknown quantity, tying that to his PPV match. And the Cobra and the Arsenal give the Demons problems in the early going, isolating Spite and targeting his knee.</p><p> </p><p>

The behemoth can barely stand, but he DOES manage to make the tag, and Anger cuts loose for a while, boosting Arsenal up for a Demon Slam to end the contest.</p><p>

Hollywood Mike Kinsey vs. Liberty</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

Kinsey was a career midcarder in the SWF, but there are flashes here of what he could do if the limiter was taken off. It isn't, but he seems to be waking up; in particular, he shrugs off Liberty's shoulderblock at one point and mows him down with a big boot.</p><p> </p><p>

But the contest goes back and forth a bit before Liberty finds the upper hand again, converting a charge into a Samoan drop, then measures and gets the Liberation Slam to confirm the victory.</p><p>

Larry Vessey vs. Teddy Flame</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

A fraught match. Rhodes speculates early on that this match may have been put together as part of Sneer's bid to work out who deserves that first title match of the new era.</p><p> </p><p>

Teddy has control a lot of the time, but Larry Vessey is both wily and tough. He withstands a lot of punishment, right up until Nemesis appears at ringside. Larry turns to watch and Teddy hits the Flame On, securing the win and grinning at Nemesis as he does so.</p><p>

Cowboy Ricky Dale vs. Rip Chord</p></div><p></p><p></p><p>

A great match to finish the night off, Dale and Chord renew their issue from the first months of HollyWeird, and it's still often anyone's game. Peter Valentine joins the announce team to mutter darkly about his upcoming tag match against Dale and Cobra, but in the ring the action continues at full speed.</p><p> </p><p>

Chord can't dominate here but, after a long sequence, he does manage to hold the upper hand for a while. Dale tries for Southern Justice and Rip blocks with a knee to the gut, then sinks him with the Rip Chord DDT – which is as guaranteed a win as ever.</p><p>

“Whistler? What a joke. He never even answered my open challenge to the other champs in the East Coast War.</p><p> </p><p>

“Wasn't fit to tenderly caress my jock, and suddenly he's main eventing a Pay-Per-View? Endorsed by Sam Strong?” Scott snorts. “Please. Man didn't even have any build.</p><p> </p><p>

“Mind you, I could've done it.”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>–</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s293.photobucket.com/user/trenchcoatbrigand/media/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/Whistler_zps6c0099f7.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/Whistler_zps6c0099f7.jpg</span></a></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Whistler chuckles and glances away. “Yeah... thrown to the wolves, and I didn't even realise. I was placed to fail...”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>–</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s293.photobucket.com/user/trenchcoatbrigand/media/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/PeterValentine_zps28746aab.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/PeterValentine_zps28746aab.jpg</span></a></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Valentine clucks his tongue chidingly. “Between a rock and a hard place,” he says. “Who's Sam gonna back? We all assumed he was going to actually put the strap on a heel, but Sam Strong can't come out and say that, and Sam needs to be featured, he's one of our big names.</p><p> </p><p>

“So it has to be a face, and it has to be a face we can put in the match <em>or</em> one Sam's ready to run with after it, and that's gonna get complicated as he gets back in circulation himself, because obviously Sam should be in the title picture.</p><p> </p><p>

“And that basically comes down to Mr Lucha or Whistler, and really, Whistler's like Nicky Champion or someone; a Sam Strong rip-off who doesn't have what the original has.</p><p> </p><p>

“You can push him. Sometimes you should. But he'll never be Sam Strong, and we had Sam Strong. If we had to sacrifice someone, he was the only one that made sense.”</p><p> </p><p>

</p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>–</p><p> </p><p>

<a href="http://s293.photobucket.com/user/trenchcoatbrigand/media/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/NickyChampion_alt_zps02cc0dd6.jpg.html" rel="external nofollow"><span>http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm75/trenchcoatbrigand/Everybody%20Knows/HGC%20Guys/NickyChampion_alt_zps02cc0dd6.jpg</span></a></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><p>

Wearing his SWF T-shirt with pride, the career midcarder takes a break from training at Barry Bowen's gym. He squints at the camera. “Say again?”</p><p> </p><p>

A voice emerges from behind the camera; Larry Vessey. “Apparently someone called you a Sam Strong rip-off.”</p><p> </p><p>

Champion sighs. “This again...” He shrugs. “You know what? I've been with the SWF since 2005. That's eight years since I was signed out of USPW. Eight years solid employment and I've held the tag belt and the North American belt about five times each. I've done everything that you can do without being in the top six guys of a given year.</p><p> </p><p>

“I'm not ashamed. I'm proud. It was me they came to to get Paul Hunter from midcard to the top. It was me they came to to get Steve Frehley set for his run, and it was me they came to to turn Sammy Bach back into a heel. You work with me if Richard Eisen wants to see if you can go to the top.</p><p> </p><p>

“<em>I'm proud of that.</em> I don't know if I'll punch through to the top myself, but everyone in the SWF locker room knows they'll get a good feud – one people will remember – when they feud with me. Everyone knows they leave a feud with me more over than they start. That reputation is worth a lot to me.</p><p> </p><p>

“And yet, every time, people call me the Sam Strong never-was. I'm not Sam Strong. I'm nothing like him, and that's why my career's been different. If I have to be the next anyone, call me the next Sid Streets.”</p>

In just three days we'll be at Excessive Force, but before then, once again Hollyweird just has Too Much For Tuesday!</p><p> </p><p>

An opening contest should get the crowd pumped, and this one will be no exception as <strong>Frankie Future</strong> takes on <strong>Tom Gilmore</strong> in a clash of, well, the future. Both are on the Wrestlers To Watch list in the new issue oi HGC Magazine, after all.</p><p> </p><p>

Speaking of wrestlers to watch... the <strong>Next Generation</strong> are in action, too, against the dangerous and recently dominant <strong>Streets Run Red</strong>. Will Brent and Bryan finally notch up that elusive big win?</p><p> </p><p>

A likely brawl next, as championship contender <strong>Whistler</strong> doesn't rest easy but instead seeks to prove himself against the Japanese wildman <strong>Saionji Omura</strong>. Is it that kind of drive that told Sam Strong who to back?</p><p> </p><p>

Woman on woman next as Victoria takes on the woman known as <strong>Wanda</strong>. Both are sensational dancing, but does that grace translate to the ring?</p><p> </p><p>

More tag team competition next. Another dominant team in the <strong>Tag Team Specialists</strong> face a type of challenge they haven't often endured yet - that of the luchador! <strong>Electrico and Phoenix II</strong> team up to prove the value of lucha libre.</p><p> </p><p>

And next after that, tag team contenders the <strong>Black Serpent Cult </strong>take on a duo who've made strong showings lately - the powerhouse <strong>Nation of Filth</strong>. Could this be a risk so close to Pay-Per-View?</p><p> </p><p>

In the main event, another championship contender wrestles a young collegiate standout. <strong>Charlie Homicide</strong> steps in the ring opposite <strong>Bryan Vessey</strong>, and we see whether an All-Star still shines when all hell breaks loose...</p><p> </p><p>

PREDICTION KEY:</p><p>

Frankie Future vs. Tom Gilmore</p><p> </p><p>

Next Generation (Brent Hill & Bryan Holmes) vs. Streets Run Red (Dusty Streets & Giant Redwood)</p><p> </p><p>

Saionji Omura vs. Whistler w/ Louis Williams</p><p> </p><p>

Wanda vs. Victoria</p><p> </p><p>

The Tag Team Specialists (Joel Bryant & Robert Oxford) vs. Electrico & Phoenix II</p><p> </p><p>

Black Serpent Cult (Cobra & Viper) vs. Nation Of Filth (Grunt & Stink)</p><p> </p><p>

<p>I'm honestly wondering if Da Smacker will get a cup of coffee with DAVE or HGC that ends remarkably badly soon. Hes just been such a highlight of this diary so far that he seems wasted as a bit-player in the East Coast "War"</p><p> </p><p>

The Nicky Champion piece was lulzy. Good stuff all-around, although IMO Rip Chord should've been in the title match.</p>
