airraidsiren38 Posted July 4, 2013 Share Posted July 4, 2013 GDCFL is Bowl Bound College Football League that is entering its seventh season of play. This league is unique in many college football simulation leagues in that all of the teams in the Bowl Coaltion Series leagues (ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big Twelve, SEC, and Pac-12) started the first season having the exact same prestige and similar talent levels. There is also a promotion path for high performing teams in the four mid-major conferences (C-USA, MAC, MWC, and Sunbelt) to move to one of the six power conferences; and likewise for teams that underperform to be relegated to the mid-majors. Coaching in the GDCFL more reflects real life in that coaches can move to higher performing teams based on their performance; and coaches on high prestige teams can be fired if they do not perform to the board's expectations. Lastly, the conference setups are similar to real college football, there are a couple of changes that have been made to level the playing field. Notre Dame, and BYU were added to the Big 12 to get them to 12 teams and Army and Navy were placed in the Big East for the same reason. Likewise, the WAC teams were merged into the Sunbelt conference to to get that conference to 12. The end result was 10 conferences of 12 teams. Interesting setup for the league allows for coaches to be fired and new coaches are limited to Average or below schools to start (similar to real life...work your way up). Currently in recruiting so time to get in to start the season.</p><p> </p><p> You can run two schools as well (see rules on site for how that works).</p><p> </p><p> Note: all schools started the league with a 50 prestige. Top level schools currently in the 70's.
