wshred13
Yeah Pettis can fight at FW and you can pick someone else if you want.
Kainlock
Honestly if you are letting Jon Jones sit at HW when he has NEVER fought at that weight, I don't see any reason my Cruz can't fight at a weight he used too. I feel you should be abel to draft whoever at whatever weight.
wshred13
Because Cruz to FW would be more like drafting Kenny Florian (if he were still fighting) at MW or WW. Sure he fought there, but that's certainly not his best weight class and he had no reason to move up. There's a lot of talk of Jones moving up because he's cleared the division of interesting challengers. If you guys want me to keep Jones at LHW, I can do that, it just makes things much less interesting imo.
wshred13
I guess Cruz moving up in weight is alright. It's just weird because he's been out for two years and guys like Renan Barao have established themselves, but before that when it looked like he didn't really have many challengers he said he was open to moving back to FW. It will be my own fault if he fails to perform at FW. There's a possibility that I won't even use him at FW.

It will be my own fault if he fails to perform at FW. I have the same attitude about Jones at HW. The only two differences to me is that Cruz has interesting challengers and that there isn't a lot of talk/potential for Cruz to move up in weight (but that's just because of his odd situation of being out for 2 years). Kainlock
Is there anything stopping us from moving guys between weight? Like a 3 fight minimum or something?
wshred13
Is there anything stopping us from moving guys between weight? Like a 3 fight minimum or something? I'm not really sure. I don't think there should be a set rule because it could be different for different guys. The main thing to me is that we remain pretty equal, if not completely equal in the number of guys we have in each weight class. I don't want a team or two to turn into alpha male or something where they dominate the lower divisions and have no presence in the higher weight classes. I think that off the start, guys should fight at least once or twice at the weight class they were drafted at (with possible exceptions for guys like BJ Penn and Chael Sonnen who are done challenging for the title most likely and will be looking to get the biggest fights they can). How do you think it should be handled?
