Tony says that tonight promises to be a huge night as we will not only crowd new number one contenders to both the United States Championship and Cruiserweight Championship, but we will also hear Eric Bischoff's official ruling in regards to the chaotic situation between Scott Hall and Rey Misterio. And as if all of that wasn't enough, tonight's main event is for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship as the champion, Goldberg, takes on the challenger, "Big Sexy" Kevin Nash". Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes starts to weigh in with their own viewpoints, as they normally do, but they only get a couple of words out before they are interrupted by a familiar music....</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KevinNash2002.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BrianAdams.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Konnan2.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> As the nWo theme blasts throughout the arena, Kevin Nash, Brian Adams and Konnan makes their way out from the back to loud boos from the crowd. As the trio makes their way to the ring, Tony, Mike and Dusty talk about how Konnan turned his back on his best friend, Rey Misterio Jr., at Uncensored, screwing him over as he joined the nWo. Dusty says that that is just how the nWo does business--he doesn't like it, but nothing the nWo does can surprise him any longer. Just as the three nWo members enters the ring, Tony once again reminds everyone that Nash is slated to face off against Goldberg later tonight in our main event, and he says that it looks like Nash has a few thoughts he wants to share with the world here tonight.</p><p> </p><p> Nash gets on the mic and says that everyone better take a long, hard look at him right now because they are looking at the next WCW World Heavyweight Champion. Nash says that after what he did to Goldberg last week on Nitro, he wouldn't be surprised if Goldberg doesn't even show up for their match tonight, which Tony Schiavone thinks is absolutely ridiculous. Nash says that not only is he gonna become a six time WCW World Heavyweight Champion here tonight, but he'll also become a two time Goldberg streak killer. Nash says that last time Goldberg was making some noise with that streak of his, he was the one to put an end to it. And tonight...he's gonna do the exact same thing; he's gonna put Goldberg down. And there's not a damn thing that Goldberg can do about it. <strong>(B)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ChavoGuerreroJr.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> As the nWo leaves the ring we cut back to the announce table where Tony Schiavone informs everyone that our first match of the night is about to get underway and the winner of the match will face the Cruiserweight Champion, Chavo Guerrero Jr., at the upcoming SuperBrawl pay per view. Almost as if on cue, Just as Tony finishes his thoughts, the Cruiserweight Champion makes his way down to ringside, apparently out there to do some scouting, which Mike Tenay says is great strategy by the champion.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="36487" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WCW Cruiserweight Championship Number One Contenders Match</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/YoshihiroTajiri.jpg</span>vs.<span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JushinLiger.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The match started off with an, for the Cruiserweight division, unusual display of technical wrestling while Tony talked about what a huge opportunity this was for both men as neither of them have been in WCW for very long. Tajiri took control of the match for the next couple of minutes, using his dangerous kicks to keep Liger down. Liger eventually made his comeback and finished Tajiri off with a Liger Bomb for the pinfall victory.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Jushin Thunder Liger defeated Yoshihiro Tajiri at 5.51 by pinfall with a Liger Bomb. Chavo shakes his head angrily and yells at Liger that the title belongs to him, and it will always belong to him. "It's mine!" he yells, over and over again.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> We then cut to the back as Tony informs us that Joey Styles is standing by with Buff Bagwell.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JoeyStyles2000.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BuffBagwell2.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Joey says that tonight Buff Bagwell, along with three other WCW superstars, has an opportunity to earn himself a shot at the United States Championship at SuperBrawl, but Buff interrupts him before Joey can even get to his question. Buff says that as far as he is concerned this match is ridiculous. He says that Vampiro, Ernest Miller and Hugh Morrus aren't even in his league, and it is cruel of Eric Bischoff to make them compete in a match they already know they can't win. Buff reminds Joey, and everyone watching the show, that he is "The Stuff", and tonight those three guys are going to find out that they just can't handle Buff Daddy's stuff! And after he takes care of his so called competition here tonight, he'll go on to SuperBrawl and beat Kanyon with the same ease, and walk out as the NEW WCW United States Champion! <strong>(D)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="36487" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DustinRhodesIggy.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RoadDogg.jpg</span>vs.<span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KazHayashi.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JimmyYang.jpg</span>w/<span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/LeiaMeow.jpg</span><p> </p><p> </p><p> Back in the ring Sons Of The South faced off against The Jung Dragons in tag team action as Rhodes and James looked to bounce back after coming so very close to winning the Tag Team Titles at Uncensored. Bischoff says that, after giving it some serious consideration over the past week, he is now ready to announce his decision in the matter of the Scott Hall/Rey Misterio Jr. issue. Bischoff then demands that both men come down and join him in the ring.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ReyMysterioMask.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Rey Misterio Jr. is out first to a great reaction from the crowd who really seems to be getting behind Rey of late, and Rey joins Bischoff in the ring.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottHall2.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Scott Hall is out next and, somewhat surprisingly, he shows up without any of his nWo allies at his side. Hall swaggers down to the ring and joins Bischoff and Rey in the ring where he immediately starts motioning for Rey to take off the mask. Rey takes a step toward Hall and it looks like we may have a scuffle on our hands, but Bischoff steps between them and tells them both to calm down--or else! Bischoff says that both men did, indeed, agree to the stipulations for their match at Uncensored, which meant that if Rey lost then he would have to unmask...HOWEVER, the match didn't exactly end on the up and up. Bischoff says that because of that, he has decided that he is not going to enforce the unmasking stipulation just yet, and instead he has decided to book a rematch between Scott Hall and Rey Misterio Jr. at SuperBrawl--same stipulations as last time, only this time, if anyone on the WCW roster interferes in the match in any way, they will be suspended indefinitely without pay! Scott Hall doesn't look happy with that decision at all and he gets right up in Bischoff's face, strongly "encouraging" him to reconsider. Bischoff refuses, and Hall then decides to take his frustrations out on Rey Misterio as he turns around, looking to catch Rey off guard....but Rey is more than ready for him! Rey fires off several right hand punches as the fans once again gets behind him, but Hall fires back with a couple of right hand punches of his own. Hall then whips Rey into the ropes, but Rey quickly slides through Hall legs, pops back up to his feet, and dropkicks Hall as he turns around. Rey then starts putting the boots to Hall, who opts to quickly roll out of the ring and retreat back up the ramp. Rey climbs to the middle turnbuckle and receives even more cheers from the crowd, while Scott Hall is absolutely livid as he makes his way back up the ramp, clearly frustrated with the way events unfolded here tonight. <strong>(D)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> We then cut to the back to the sound of a commotion...</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillGoldberg2.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KevinNash2002.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BrianAdams.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Konnan2.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The source of the commotion is revealed to be the nWo, minus Scott Hall, attacking and beating the World Heavyweight Champion, Goldberg, down in the back in a brutal three on one ambush. Goldberg is trying to fight back, but the combination of Kevin Nash, Brian Adams and Konnan is proving too much for even "The Man" to successfully deal with on his own. The beating contiues for a few seconds and then Nash disappears out of the camera's view for a few moments, only to return a few seconds later with a steel chair in his hand. Adams and Konnan pulls Goldberg to his feet as Tony Schiavone is heard saying that somebody needs to stop this immediately. Unfortunately nobody seems to be around to help, and Nash gets right up in Goldberg's face and tells Goldberg that "You're my bitch!". Nash then takes a step back and swings and the chair connects with Goldberg's skull with a loud thud. Adams and Konnan lets go of the champion, and he collapses to the floor as Tony, Mike and Dusty all agree that this is absolutely ridiculous, and that Goldberg's title reign may be in serious jeopardy here tonight after that brutal attack. <strong>(B-)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="36487" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WCW United States Championship Number One Contenders Match</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BuffBagwell2.jpg</span>vs.<span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ErnestMiller.jpg</span>vs.<span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillDeMott.jpg</span>vs.<span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Vampiro10.jpg</span>w/<span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Aries.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DaffneyUnger.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Buff Bagwell's confident words earlier in the show apparently did not sit well with the other three competitors in this match as all three targeted Buff Daddy in the early goings of this one. The uneasy alliance did not last long, however, and soon enough the demented Hugh Morrus was swinging at anything that moved around him, taking some of the heat off Bagwell. Aries and Daffney, Vampiro's allies, were also a factor in this one, taking full advantage of the fact that there are no DQ's in four way matchups like this one. This even match came to an end when Hugh Morrus and Vampiro were going at it at ringside, with the crazed Morrus successfully battling both Vampiro and Aries at the same time. Meanwhile in the ring, Buff Bagwell capitalized on the situation by catching "The Cat" off guard with a quick rollup from behind, with Buff Daddy grabbing a handful of tights to help ensure the pinfall victory.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Buff Bagwell defeated Ernest Miller, Vampiro and Hugh Morrus at 10.42 by pinfall when Bagwell pinned Miller with a rollup and a handful of tights. Flair says that last week Eric Bischoff sent out the call to all of The Elite members, and tonight "The Nature Boy" and Sean O'Haire are going to answer it. He says that what Bischoff said last week was absolutely right. The Elite members haven't been living up to the name, but all of that is going to change tonight because not only are they going to beat Booker T and Diamond Dallas Page here tonight, but they will go on to win War Games as well and then (WOOO!!) The Elite will truly be living up to their name! <strong>(C+)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="36487" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RicFlair2.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/SeanOHaire2001.jpg</span>vs.<span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BookerT.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DiamondDallasPage.jpg</span><p> </p><p> </p><p> Back in the ring it was time for a huge tag team matchup as Elite members Ric Flair and Sean O'Haire faced off against Booker T and DDP. The Elite took control of the match early on as Flair and O'Haire made frequent tags while slowly wearing Booker T down. Booker T eventually made his comeback, fighting Ric Flair off and creating just enough seperation for Booker to make the hot tag to DDP. Page came in and cleaned house, finishing off the impressive showing by nailing Flair with the Diamond Cutter. It looked like a sure win, but Sean O'Haire made the last second save, keeping the match alive. The match broke down after that as all four men were going at it, Booker T was fighting Ric Flair, and DDP and Sean O'Haire were going at it inside the ring, with O'Haire getting the better of Page. With Page down, O'Haire went up to the top rope, looking to deliver the Seanton Bomb, but DDP moved out of the way at the very last second. Page then got back to his feet, hit the Diamond Cutter on O'Haire and picked up the three count and a huge win.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Diamond Dallas Page and Booker T defeated Sean O'Haire and Ric Flair at 15.05 by pinfall when DDP pinned O'Haire following a Diamond Cutter (B-)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottSteiner.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JeffJarrett.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> The match is over but there is no time for DDP and Booker T to celebrate as Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett hits the ring and goes on the attack in yet another Elite ambush, which Tony Schiavone is quick to point out as well. The crowd is going absolutely crazy and Jarrett can't believe his eyes as Sting grabs Steiner and tosses him from the ring as well, leaving Double J standing alone in the ring with Sting. Nash also had Konnan at ringside, which once again put Goldberg firmly up against the odds, and so it was no great surprise that Nash took control of the match early on, making a point of focusing on Goldberg's head to capitalize as much as possible on the brutal chair shot he delivered to Goldberg earlier.</p><p> </p><p> Nash trapped Goldberg in the corner of the ring and began working him over with punches, knees to the gut, and elbows to the side of the head. The crowd rallied behind Goldberg, who battled his way back into the match using nothing but power moves, including a power slam on the floor outside the ring.</p><p> </p><p> Goldberg rolled Nash back into the ring and whipped him into the corner. <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Monday Nitro Preview</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

With just two weeks left before SuperBrawl, and,War Games, this week's edition of Monday Nitro promises to be quite the event as WCW owner Eric Bischoff has announced a so called "beat the clock" challenge. The premise of the challenge is that the two War Games team captains, Scott Steiner and Goldberg, will both compete in a singles match over the next two weeks and the person who beats his opponent in the least amount of time (if they beat them at all) earns the right for his team to have the entrance spots 3, 5, and 7 in the match--in other words, the team will have the 2 on 1, 3 on 2, and 4 on 3 advantage during the match, and while the War Games match cannot end until all competitors are in the ring, teams can still do a lot of damage with a numerical advantage.</p><p> </p><p>

Speaking of War Games, now that we know that it will be Team Elite vs. Team Goldberg, will we also find out who is going to be a part of the World Champion's team?</p><p> </p><p>

Also on the show, Dustin Rhodes faces Mike Awesome in a high stakes match that will have great impact on the Tag Team division no matter who wins. The Elite continues to search for momentum and success as they face off against Davey Boy Smith, Marty Jannetty and Ernest Miller in six man tag team action. Rey Misterio Jr., two weeks away from facing his hated rival Scott Hall at SuperBrawl, faces off against another nWo nWo member in Brian Adams, Perfect Event faces Air Raid in tag team action, and Buff Bagwell goes one on one with the youngster Matt Sydal.</p><p> </p><p>

All of this and much, much more, on this week's edition of WCW Monday Nitro! </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

I have to apologize for the long wait between updates as of late. Been very busy recently but I'm still very dedicated to this diary, and I have a lot of cool things (at least I think so) coming up in the near future. I just finished booking the next show and I'm planning on writing it over the weekend so it should be up Monday at the latest.

Mike says that SuperBrawl is shaping up to be a huge event, obviously with War Games as the main attraction, but we also know that both the United States and Cruiserweight Championship will be defended as well, not to mention the huge rematch between Scott Hall and Rey Misterio Jr. Dusty adds that, while Mike and Tony are absolutely right about SuperBrawl being a huge event, they are getting a bit ahead of themselves because we have a huge show ahead of us tonight, headlined by Scott Steiner facing off against Booker T in the first of two Beat The Clock challenge matches which will determine which team gets the number 3, 5 and 7 entrance spots in the War Games match--something which could make a huge difference in the outcome of the match.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="36487" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BuffBagwell2.jpg</span>vs.<span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/MattSydal.jpg</span><p> </p><p> </p><p> On last week's edition of Monday Nitro, Buff Bagwell earned himself a shot at Kanyon's United States Championship at SuperBrawl. Bischoff downplays the reveal, saying that Goldberg still only has half a team and precious little time left to put it together, much less get everyone on the same page. He says that they already have their team, and they are already on the same page. That is what matters. Bischoff then reminds his guys that they need to make a strong showing here tonight, and that there is absolutely no room for mistakes. Steiner, Flair, Jarrett and O'Haire all look around at each other, and Bischoff reminds them all that he picked them to be part of The Elite for a reason. With Rey already in trouble as the bell sounded, it was an uphill battle from that point on, especially with Konnan at ringside. But, Rey being Rey, he fought that uphill battle with everything he had, taking a considerable amount of punishment while doing so.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottHall2.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Scott Hall eventually made his way down to ringside as well, stacking the deck further against Rey Misterio, much to Tony Schiavone's frustration as he complained that the nWo, and Scott Hall, were going to screw Rey Misterio over yet again. The finish of this one came when Konnan had the referee distracted and Brian Adams was holding Rey's arms behind his back as Scott Hall entered the ring with a steel chair in his hands. Hall took aim at Rey's head and swung, but Rey managed to jump up and kick the chair back in Hall's face. It was a pretty even match from that point on, and the match eventually broke down, as six man tag matches tend to do, and the chaos eventually meant that Ric Flair and Marty Jannetty ended up alone in the ring. Perhaps unsurprisingly, "Big Poppa Pump" got the better of the slugfest and grabbed the early advantage, talking plenty of trash while putting a beating on Booker T. A standing sidekick by Booker T to Steiner down, and the crowd erupted as Booker T called for the Bookend. I'd call it a good thing that reading this game makes me want to try my own WCW Lives game again. I usually fall out of it due to two things: that it takes away from my War diary (damn short attention span, lol) and that is a tough balance to try and walk to attempt making new stars when all your main event players are breaking down. But you give me hope that one of these days, I'll be able to book a good WCW Lives game!

<strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Monday Nitro Preview</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

With just one more show to go before SuperBrawl, this week's edition of Monday Nitro promises to be a good one as Team Elite and Team Goldberg will no doubt both be looking to send a strong message to their opponents before War Games. The show is headlined by a Beat The Clock Challenge match as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Goldberg, looks to beat the time set by "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner on last week's show, in a match against "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett. Will Goldberg be able to beat Jarrett? And if so, will he be able to beat Scott Steiner's time? Or will The Elite enter War Games with the advantage?</p><p> </p><p>

Scott Hall and Rey Misterio Jr. will face each other at SuperBrawl with Hall's career and Rey's mask on the line. Tonight they face each other in tag team action as The Outsiders take on the team of Rey Misterio Jr. and the WCW United States Champion, Kanyon. Will Rey Misterio Jr., with the help of Kanyon, manage to build even more momentum for himself heading into SuperBrawl? Or will Scott Hall, Kevin Nash and the rest of the nWo get the better of Rey once again?</p><p> </p><p>

Also on the show, one half of the WCW Tag Team Champions, Lance Storm, faces one half of the challengers for the Tag Team Titles at SuperBrawl, BG James, in one on one action, the recently reformed Natural Born Thrillers team up to face "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan, Norman Smiley, Jamie Knoble and Matt Sydal in eight man tag team action, and the number one contender to the Cruiserweight Championship, Jushin Thunder Liger, teams up with Shane Helms and Billy Kidman to take on Yoshihiro Tajiri and the Jung Dragons in six man cruiserweight action.</p><p> </p><p>

All of this and much, much more on this week's edition of WCW Monday Nitro!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

Monday Nitro kicked off with Duggan, Smiley, Knoble and Sydal already in the ring as the Natural Born Thrillers made their entrance and Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes welcomed everyone to the show. The opening match was largely dominated by the Thrillers, who put the opposition away in just over five minutes when Mike Sanders hit the 3.0 on Matt Sydal for the pinfall victory.

The Natural Born Thrillers defeated Jim Duggan, Norman Smiley, Jamie Knoble and Matt Sydal at 5.04 by pinfall when Mike Sanders pinned Sydal following a 3.0 (D-)

As the Thrillers celebrates their win in the ring, Mike Sanders grabs a mic as apparently he has some words to share. Sanders says that as great as the Thrillers are on their own, and they are great, they are that much better together. But they can't take all of the credit for the Thrillers getting back together--in fact, the reason why the Thrillers are back together is because someone helped them to realize that they are better together than they are apart. He says they are not going to reveal who that person is just yet, though, but once everyone finds out who is pulling the strings behind the scenes, once everyone finds out who put the Thrillers back together and unleashed them on WCW...it is going to blow people's minds! (D+)

The second match of the night was a fast paced, high energy cruiserweight battle as Jushin Thunder Liger looked to pick up a big win heading into SuperBrawl as he teamed with Shane Hels and Billy Kidman to take on Yoshihiro Tajiri and The Jung Dragons. Tajiri dominated the match early on, punishing Shane Helms with his trademark stiff kicks, and frequent tags helped them maintain the advantage. Helms eventually made the hot tag to Kidman who, after a strong initial flurry, found himself in trouble against Kaz Hayashi. A blind tag by Liger ended up being the difference maker as Liger caught Kaz off guard, hitting the Liger Driver for the win in an even matchup.

Jushin Liger, Shane Helms and Billy Kidman defeated Yoshihiro Tajiri and the Jung Dragons at 6.23 when Liger pinned Kaz Hayashi following a Liger Driver (D-)

Following the match the Cruiserweight Champion, Chavo Guerrero Jr., makes his way out from the back. Chavo stands on the stage and looks down at Jushin Liger, who is celebrating in the ring with Shane Helms and Billy Kidman. Chavo shakes his head, points to himsef, and says that he is the greatest cruiserweight in the world, and he is going to prove it at SuperBrawl!

A graphic pops up on screen, reminding everyone of tonight's huge main event as Goldberg faces Jeff Jarrett in a Beat The Clock challenge match. Tony explains that Goldberg not only has to beat Jeff Jarrett, but he has to do it in less than sixteen minutes and twelve seconds or The Elite will have the one man advantage throughout the War Games match as they will have entrant number three, five, and seven, which could make all the difference in the world. Mike Tenay agrees, saying that having the one man advantage gives the team an opportunity to wear their opponents down before the next entrant, which definitely puts the other team at a distinct disadvantage. (C+)

We cut backstage where Team Goldberg is gathered in one of the locker rooms as Diamond Dallas Page is in the middle of making a point. DDP says that, while he knows they all want to be WCW World Heavyweight Champion, they have to work together at SuperBrawl, because if they are not on the same page, The Elite is gonna walk all over them and they are gonna win the title, and nobody wants that. Booker T is quick to agree with Page, saying that, if not himself, he would rather have one of them walking out with the title than a member of The Elite. Sting is next to speak and he says that he has vowed to put an end to the corruption that has dominated WCW for years, and right now there is nothing more corrupt in WCW than The Elite. All eyes then turn to the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, who takes a moment to stare intently at each of his three team members. Goldberg says that he knows they all want what he's got; the World Heavyweight Championship. He picked them to be on his team because he knows they can get the job done, but he has no intention of walking out of War Games empty handed. Goldberg then walks off as DDP and Booker T exchange questioning looks, while Sting just stares silently after Goldberg, and Tony Schiavone wonders if perhaps there is a bit of tension on Team Goldberg heading into SuperBrawl? (B-)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/LanceStorm2.jpgw/http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/MikeAwesome3.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/TedDiBiase.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RoadDogg.jpgw/http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DustinRhodesIggy.jpg

The next chapter in the Tag Team Title feud played out next as BG James faced off against Lance Storm in one on one action just a few days before The Impact Players defends the Tag Team Titles aganst Sons of the South at SuperBrawl. Both men came out ready for this one, but the presence of Mike Awesome, Ted DiBiase, and Dustin Rhodes at ringside would soon come into play as Awesome and DiBiase were constantly trying to distract BG James, and despite Dustin Rhodes' best efforts, it was impossible for him to keep both men in check, once again making it an uphill battle for Sons of the South. It also meant that BG James had a hard time building any momentum because he always had to keep one eye on Awesome and DiBiase. This would also come to play a role in deciding the match. As Mike Awesome and Dustin Rhodes were brawling at ringside, BG James was finally building some serious momentum and looked to have Lance Storm in big trouble, but a perfectly timed distraction by Ted DiBiase as he grabbed James' leg changed all of that. The referee warned DiBiase, but he had already bought Storm just enough time to recover and catch James off guard with a roll up from behind to steal the win.

Lance Storm defeated BG James at 9.56 by pinfall with a quick roll up following a distraction by Ted DiBiase (C-)

The Impact Players and Ted DiBiase quickly escapes the ring and makes their way back up the ramp, having once again stolen a match from Sons Of The South. BG James and Dustin Rhodes are standing in the ring, shaking their heads dejectedly as they can't quite believe that they again fell victim to the Impact Players' tricks. Then a voice is suddenly heard as someone is talking on a mic, and the voice belongs to none other than....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DustyRhodes.jpg

"The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes!!! Dusty says that he is getting pretty sick and tired of sitting at the announce table and watching as The Impact Players, and Ted DiBiase, screws the Sons of the South over again and again. Dusty admits that he may be biased, but he believes that those two young men have all the talent in the world and they deserve a fair shake. What they don't deserve is having to fight an uphill battle every single time they step into the ring. Dusty says that Sons of the South will have a level playing field at SuperBrawl because he's gonna be in their corner to make damned sure that Ted DiBiase doesn't get involved in the match in any way! The crowd pops at this announcement, James and Dustin Rhodes are all smiles in the ring, but The Impact Players are absolutely livid! As Dusty joins Dustin and BG James in the ring, Tony and Mike wonder if The Impact Players can, in fact, defeat Sons of the South on a level playing field? (D)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottSteiner.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RicFlair2.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/SeanOHaire2001.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JeffJarrett.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/CheerleaderMelissa.jpg

Following Dusty Rhodes' big announcement we cut to the backstage area where The Elite, minus Eric Bischoff, is gathered. "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner is the first to speak and he says that when he beat Booker T last week he proved that nobody on Team Goldberg is a match for "Freakzilla", and none of those pathetic excuses for wrestlers are going to stop him from from walking out of War Games as the new World Heavyweight Champion! "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair is next to speak and following the expected "woo!" Flair says that Eric Bischoff lifted the stipulation that said that Flair could never again challenge for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, and "The Nature Boy" plans to make the most of it at SuperBrawl! Steiner turns and stares at Flair, clearly unhappy that Flair is talking about winning the World Title. Flair doesn't back down and gets right in Steiner's face, forcing Jarrett and O'Haire to get in between them to keep them from fighthing each other. Jarrett says that they have to work together, that they can't just focus on themselves, but that they have to focus on what's good for the group. Steiner just tells Jarrett to shut up and make sure he takes care of business tonight, and then "Big Poppa Pump" walks off in a huff as Tony and Mike commens that there seems to be some tension on both teams heading into War Games, and the deciding factor of the match might end up being which team is best able to put aside their differences and work as a unit (C+)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ReyMysterioMask.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ChrisKanyon4.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KevinNash2002.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottHall2.jpgw/http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Konnan2.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BrianAdams.jpg

Back in the ring it was time for a huge tag team match as The Outsiders faced off against Rey Misterio Jr. and the United States Champion, Kanyon. It was a very heated and intense matchup, not only because of the obvious issues between Hall and Misterio, but it was also a revival of Kanyon's past rivalry with The Outsiders from last year. It was an even match that eventually saw The Outsiders attempt to isolate Kanyon, which they did successfully for several minutes until Kanyon fought back and made the hot tag to Misterio. Rey was absolutely on fire, giving the Outsiders so much trouble that Konnan and Adams attempted to get involved, only to be ejected by the referee, much to the fans' delight! The match eventually broke down as Rey and Hall were fighting outside the ring and Nash and Kanyon inside. The chaos also meant that the referee had a hard time keeping track of everything, and when the referee was outside the ring trying to seperate Hall and Misterio....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BuffBagwell2.jpg

Buff Bagwell made his way down to the ring. Bagwell ambushed Kanyon, but Kanyon was eventually able to fight him off and send "Buff Daddy" packing. Unfortunately Kanyon then turned around and walked right into a big boot from Nash, who followed it up with a Jackknife Powerbomb and picked up the cheap win.

The Outsiders defeated Kanyon and Rey Misterio Jr. at 12.24 when Nash pinned Kanyon following a Jackknife Powerbomb after Buff Bagwell interfered (B-)

As Buff Bagwell quickly makes his way back up the ramp, holding his jaw but still smiling as he accomplished what he set out to accomplish, Rey Misterio checks on Kanyon in the ring while The Outsiders heads back up the ramp as well as Tony and Mike talks about SuperBrawl where Kanyon will defend the United States Championship against Buff Bagwell, and Scott Hall faces Rey Misterio Jr. in a match with both Rey's mask and Hall's career on the line.

A hype video for War Games starts playing, briefly highlighting each member of both teams before finally focusing in on the WCW World Heavyweight Championship, which will be up for grabs in the match. An audio is also heard of Eric Bischoff saying that if The Elite doesn't win War Games, then he'll disband the group forever. (B-)

Beat The Clock Challenge

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillGoldberg2.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JeffJarrett.jpgw/http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/CheerleaderMelissa.jpg

Tony Schiavone reminded everyone that the time for Goldberg to beat is sixteen minutes and twelve seconds, and as soon as the bell sounded, Jeff Jarrett bailed out of the ring to boos from the crowd. Tony and Mike speculated that this was no doubt the strategy that Jarrett was going to employ, trying to run out the clock rather then attempting to survive Goldberg. Fully realizing Jarrett's intention, Goldberg immediately gave chase. Jarrett did everything he could to avoid Goldberg, even hiding behind Cheerleader Melissa a few times, but the count of the referee eventually forced Double J back into the ring. Once in the ring again, the match finally got under way and Goldberg spent the next few minutes making Jarrett pay the price for his less than honorable tactics. It looked as though Goldberg might make short work of Jarrett, but a timely distraction of the referee by Cheerleader Melissa gave Jarrett the opening he needed to hit a low blow on Goldberg, which finally slowed the otherwise relentless attack of the World Champion.

"The Chosen One" remained in control of the match for the next few minutes, but it was obvious that Jarrett was wrestling not to lose moreso than he was wrestling to win, and he frequently checked the large clock on the big sceen that counted down the seconds and minutes. A spear from out of nowhere caught Jarrett completely off guard, but "The Chosen One" still had the awareness to roll out of the ring, helped along quite a bit by Cheerleader Melissa, who received an official warning for doing so. With the clock approached the ten minute mark, Goldberg left the ring to go after Jarrett, but was lying in wait for him and nailed him with a clothesline....which Goldberg just shook off!! Not quite believing his eyes, Jarrett quickly rolled back into the ring. Goldberg followed, and Jarrett pounced on him, kicking the head and upper body of his opponent repeatedly, almost looking a bit desperate. Despite Jarrett's best efforts, Goldberg made his way back to his feet and...SPEAR!!!! Goldberg covers.....but there's not referee! The champ looked around only to find the referee distracted by Cheerleader Melissa. Clearly getting frustrated, Goldberg grabbed the referee, spun him around and demanded that he pay attention to the match. Goldberg then turned around to once again focus on Jarrett....STROKE!!!! Jarrett caught Goldberg with a somewhat modified version of the Stroke! Jarrett covers...1...2...NO!!! Goldberg kicked out!

Neither Jarrett nor Melissa can quite believe that Goldberg just kicked out, and they both check the clock again to see it approaching the thirteen minute mark. Is Jarrett going to survive after all? Much to Double J's surprise, Goldberg is already trying to get back to his feet again, and Jarrett quickly starts putting the boots to him again, trying desperately to keep "The Man" down.

The rest of The Elite suddenly made their way down to ringside and Tony quickly reminded everyone that if they get involved now, Team Goldberg will have the advantage at War Games. Steiner, Flair and O'Haire seemed to be aware of that, and they stayed outside the ring rather than getting involved.

The rest of Team Goldberg, Sting, Booker T and Diamond Dallas Page, made their way down to ringside as well, and then all hell broke lose, which Tony said was probably only a matter of time before it happened. With the six of them brawling at ringside, Cheerleader Melissa slid "The Chosen One"'s trademark guitar to him. Jarrett grabbed the guitar and got to his feet as the referee warned him not to use it. Jarrett looked up at the clock, watched as it passed the sixteen minutes and twelve seconds mark, and then....BAM!!! Jarrett just smashed the guitar over Goldberg's head!!!!! The referee had no choice but to call for the DQ.

Goldberg defeated Jeff Jarrett at 16.15 by DQ, Goldberg failed to beat the clock (B)

And with that, and absolute chaos still going on around the ring, Monday Nitro comes to an end as Tony Schiavone reminds everyone to watch WCW SuperBrawl this Sunday night only on pay per view!

Week 4, February, 2002

Live from Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Missouri

Attendance: 19.500 (sellout)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/TonySchiavone3.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/MikeTenay3.jpg

Following the usual, but always impressive, pyro display, we join Tony Schiavone and Mike Tenay at the announce table. Tony welcomes everyone to the sold out Kemper Arena for what promises to be a HUGE night for World Championship Wrestling. He then introduces "The Professor" Mike Tenay and explains that Dusty Rhodes will not be joining them at the table due to the role he will be playing in the Tag Team Title match later tonight. Mike says that all four titles will be on the line tonight, and we will also see what could be the end of the long and bitter rivalry between Scott Hall and Rey Misterio Jr., but the biggest match of all is the War Games match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship as Team Goldberg takes on Team Elite. Tony is about to add some thoughts on that, but he is suddenly cut off as the nWo theme starts blasting throughout the arena and.....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KevinNash2002.jpg

"Big Sexy" Kevin Nash slowly strolls out from the back, drawing boos from the crowd. Tony and Mike both wonder what Nash could possibly be doing out here as he is not scheduled to compete tonight, and their confusion only grows when Nash, much to their surprise, makes his way over to the announce table and sits down on the chair that would normally belong to "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. As Nash puts on a headset, Tony asks him what he is doing out here, and Nash explains that he's got a feeling that tonight is gonna be a huge night and he wants to have a front row seat to watch the action unfold. Tony asks what he means by that, but Nash simply smiles and says that he'll find out "when the time is right" just like everybody else. Tony and Mike still seem baffled and confused by Nash's presence at the table, but with the first match about to get under way they don't have much of an opportunity to go further into it.

WCW Cruiserweight Championship

The opening match of SuperBrawl started off at an incredibly fast pace and it just never seemed to slow down. The champion took control of the match early on, once again using underhanded tactics to gain the upper hand, every time Chavo looked like he was building momentum, Jushin Liger would come up with an unexpected reversal or counter move and turn the tide in his favor. As the match progressed, Liger's ability to keep Chavo guessing seemed to get more and more under the champion's skin, and it even got to the point where Chavo, after having been sent flying through the ropes after yet another impressive Jushin Liger counter, grabbed the Cruiserweight Championship title belt and attempted to leave the ring and walk out on the match, only for Liger to chase him down and promptly send him back inside the ring. This would come back to haunt Liger, however, as Chavo dropped the title belt on the floor of the ring. The referee grabbed the belt and handed it to someone outside the ring, but as the referee's back was turned, Chavo used the opportunity to hit a low blow on Liger and then roll him up, even grabbing a handful of tights for good measure to ensure the three count and the win.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated Jushin Thunder Liger at 8.32 by pinfall following a low blow. Chavo Guerrero Jr. retains the WCW Cruiserweight Championship (C-)

As Chavo Guerrero Jr. celebrates another successful title defense in the ring, we cut to the announce table where Tony and Mike are both appalled by Chavo's actions here tonight, and they both talk about how Chavo doesn't even deserve to be champion with the way he constantly bends and breaks the rules to get ahead. Nash says he couldn't disagree more with them even if he wanted to, Chavo did what he had to do to get the job done and that is what this business is all about. Liger played it "by the book", and look what happened to him. As far as Nash is concerned, the right man is leaving with the gold here tonight. Tony and Mike both shake their heads, but then the big screen, Turner Tron, whatever you want to call it, suddenly comes to life....

Three young men are standing in front of the camera at an undisclosed location, all of them with their attention locked firmly on the camera. One of the three men, the dark haired one, starts talking and introduces the trio as simply "The Three". He says that they are paving the way for wrestling's future by finally putting its past in the ground where it belongs. He says the people who damn near killed WCW are still being allowed to drag the company, and the wrestling business, down, that they bleed the company and the business dry, and they do so only for their own selfish, personal gain. But "The Three" are going to change all of that. "The Three" are coming, he says, and change is coming with them. (D)

WCW United States Championship

The second match of SuperBrawl saw Kanyon attempt to successfully defend his United States Championship against Buff Bagwell. The two of them had a very solid, back and forth match that was also helped by the fact that the fans really seemed to be into it. Kanyon looked to make short work of "Buff Daddy" by going for the Kanyon Cutter early, but Bagwell managed to avoid it, and he quickly rolled out of the ring to regroup. The next several minutes of the match was all "Buff Daddy" as Bagwell really took it to the champion and made himself look good in the process. Unfortunately, Buff Bagwell's trademark arrogance would end up tripping him up as he took too much time posing after hitting a belly to back suplex, which allowed Kanyon to rest and regroup. Kanyon took control of the match and continued to dominate for the next several minutes, but a well placed thumb to the eye helped to shift the momentum back in Bagwell's favor. Bagwell then looked to put Kanyon away with a Yellow Jacket Suplex, but Kanyon countered the move and nailed the Kanyon Cutter for the win.

Kanyon defeated Buff Bagwell at 12.16 by pinfall with a Kanyon Cutter. Kanyon retains the WCW United States Championship (C+)

Following Kanyon's successful title defense we cut to the back where Dusty Rhodes is standing by alongside Sons Of The South, much to Kevin Nash's disappointment as he was, apparently, hoping to see some "hot chicks", which Mike and Tony aren't quite sure how to respond to. In the back, Dusty Rhodes says that these two young men standing beside him has worked too hard, for too long, to not be given a fair shot at the Tag Team Titles, and tonight he is gonna make sure that they get exactly that. If Ted DiBiase tries to get involved in the match in any way tonight, Dusty is gonna make sure that he lives to regret it, and with him there to level the playing field, he has no doubt that Dustin and BG are gonna take care of the rest and walk out as the NEW WCW Tag Team Champions! WCW Tag Team Championship

Dusty Rhodes did not waste any time getting in Ted DiBiase's face and letting him know that he's got his eyes on him out there tonight, which DiBiase did not seem to appreciate at all. Dustin Rhodes and Lance Storm started things off in the ring, with Storm using his technical ability to ground Rhodes. The Impact Players isolated Rhodes for the first several minutes of the match, using frequent tags to wear him down, much to Ted DiBiase's approval at ringside. A huge powerslam by Mike Awesome got a two count, and then another tag to Lance Storm, who went for the Canadian Maple Leaf submission hold, but Rhodes made it to the ropes before Storm could lock it in. Storm looked to press the advantage, but Rhodes fought back and finally made the hot tag to BG James.

BG James hit the ring and started pounding away on Lance Storm. Mike Awesome tried to get involved, but he just got a couple of right hand punches for his trouble as well. James hit a DDT on Storm, which got a two count. BG then signalled for the Piledriver, but Mike Awesome suddenly blasted him from behind, putting an end to BG's otherwise impressive run. The Impact Players took control of the match again, now isolating BG James and doing so effectively until a desperation bulldog from James gave him just enough time to make it to the corner to tag Dustin Rhodes. As Rhodes hit the ring the match broke down and all four men were battling it out. Ted DiBiase tripped Dustin Rhodes and pulled him out of the ring, which saw the crowd erupt with cheers as Dusty Rhodes grabbed DiBiase and, true to his word, Dusty made sure that DiBiase regretted his actions by nailing him with a straight right hand. Unfortunately, this turn of events left BG James at the mercy of both Impact Players in the ring, and Lance Storm superkicked James right into an Awesome Bomb from Mike Awesome and that, as they say, was that.

The Impact Players defeated Sons Of The South at 14.10 by pinfall following an Awesome Bomb on BG James. The Impact Players retains the Tag Team Championship ©

With The Impact Players standing tall in the ring, we again cut to the announce table where Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay, and Kevin Nash are discussing what they just witnessed in the ring. Nash is quick to point out that Dusty Rhodes' "master plan" just blew up in his face, to the surprise of absolutely no one. Tony and Mike both agree, however, that Dusty was right to do what he did, and that it is a damned shame that a team as talented as The Impact Players has to rely on Ted DiBiase to help them win their matches, and Tony says that one of these days Eric Bischoff should do something about the culture of cheating and taking the easy way out that seems to be developing in WCW. Nash says that that is the most ridiculous thing he has ever heard, and he tells Tony to "man up" or get the hell out of dodge. We then cut to the backstage area...

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JeffJarrett.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/CheerleaderMelissa.jpg

To the locker room of "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett, to be specific, who is seen preparing for the War Games match later tonight while Cheerleader Melissa is doing a string of personalized cheers for Jarrett (give me a J...give me an E...give me an F...you get the picture) Tony and Mike aren't quite sure what to make of what they are seeing, but Nash is happy to finally get his wish about seeing a hot chick--too bad about everything else, though, he says. Tony Schiavone then takes the opportunity to remind everyone of tonight's main event, Team Goldberg versus Team Elite in a War Games match with the WCW World Heavyweight Championship on the line! (D)

Mask vs. Career Match

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottHall2.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ReyMysterioMask.jpg

The crowd was firmly behind Rey Misterio Jr. in this one, which really wasn't all that surprising considering everything that Scott Hall has put Rey though over the past couple of months. Hall once again struggled with Misterio's fast paced style, and Rey was flying around the ring, not giving Hall a single moment to catch his breath. Hall even tried to escape the onslaught by rolling out of the ring, but Rey launched himself over the top rope and took Hall down with a suicide dive, before mounting Hall and pummeling him with straight right hands as Tony said that you really can't blame Rey for his aggression after what Hall has done to him. Nash, on the other hand, called for the referee to disqualify Rey for his conduct, which both Tony and Mike thought was ridiculous, especially after Nash's comments earlier in the show.

Rey got Hall back into the ring and continued to press his advantage, not letting up and not allowing Hall a chance to catch his breath. Still very much on his heels, a desperate Scott Hall began grabbing and pulling at Rey's mask, which forced Rey to abandon the attack to readjust his mask, which finally gave Scott Hall a moment of rest. Once Rey had fixed his mask he turned his attention back to Hall, but Hall had recovered enough that he was able to catch Rey off guard with a huge right hand. And another one. And another one, the impact echoing through the building. A fallaway slam on Rey got a two count, but Mike noted that it's going to take a lot more than that to keep Rey down tonight.

The match spilled back outside the ring where Hall proceeded to whip Rey into pretty much anything he could find, the guardrail, the side of the ring, just throwing Rey around with vicious intent. Hall then rolled Rey back into the ring and covered him...

1....

2....

NO!!!! Kickout!

Getting frustrated now, Hall pulled Rey back to his feet and slapped the back of his head a few times before whipping him into the corner. Hall charged in with a clothesline, then whipped Rey into the opposite corner of the ring, and followed after with another huge clothesline which brought Rey to his knees while Nash applauded Hall's dominance at the announce table. Hall then pulled Rey to his feet and set him up for the Outsiders' Edge...but Rey countered with a Hurricanrana--PIN ATTEMPT!!!

1....

2....

NO! Hall just barely kicked out in time.

Hall quickly got back to his feet, his eyes wide as he realized just how close he was to losing the match and his career, and he then started putting the boots to Rey, punishing him with one vicious kick after another, kicking him all the way out of the ring. Hall left the ring as well and started looking for something underneath the ring.....

A Table!

Hall pulled out the table and set it up at ringside while Mike Tenay reminded everyone that this is NOT a No Disqualification match, meaning that if Hall uses the table, he'll lose the match. Even Nash seemed to be worried about this as Hall didn't even seem to realize it, he just wanted to punish Rey. Hall placed Rey on the table and then, in an extremely unusual sight, Hall actually climbed to the top turnbuckle, staring down at Rey with contempt.

OH MY GOD!!!!!

Hall jumped, Rey moved, and Hall crashed through the table! The crowd was going crazy, but both men were down outside the ring and the referee started the count

1...

2...

3...

With neither man moving, Kevin Nash left his spot at the announce table and headed down to ringside as Tony and Mike wondered out loud what he was doing.

4...

5...

Nash grabbed Scott Hall's lifeless body and rolled him back into the ring, much to the displeasure of the crowd who were booing like crazy, while Tony posed the question whether Nash's actions counted as interference? Because didn't Eric Bischoff state that anyone who interfered in the match would be fired? With Hall back in the ring and Rey still outside, the referee had no choice but to continue the count.

6...

7...

Rey was slowly trying to get to his feet.

8....

Now back to his feet, Rey stumbled toward the ring as the crowd cheered him on. Nash could only watch at ringside, knowing that if he attacked Rey it would be a disqualification.

9....

HE DID IT! Rey got back in the ring before the count of ten! The crowd exploded, and Nash was almost pulling his hair out in frustration. Back in the ring, Scott Hall got back to his feet and signalled for the Outsiders' Edge, and then he began pulling an almost lifeless Rey Misterio back to his feet as Rey seemingly used what little energy he had left to get himself back into the ring.

ROLLUP!!! REY MISTERIO CAUGHT HALL WITH A ROLLUP!

1....

2....

3!!!!!!!!!

Hall kicked out a split second too late!

Rey Misterio Jr. defeated Scott Hall at 18.02 by pinfall with a rollup (C+)

Hall and Nash both seem to be in shock at the surprising turn of events. Rey is still down, visibly exhausted, and The Outsiders looks to have some evil intentions on their minds as they stand above him, the realization of what just happened setting in. Before they can do anything, however....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/EricBischoff3.jpg

The owner of WCW, Eric Bischoff, makes his way down to the ring. The crowd is singing the "na na, hey hey, goodbye" song, obviously aimed at Scott Hall, but Bischoff gets on the mic and tells everyone to wait a damned minute. Bischoff says that when he signed the match between Rey and Hall and put Hall's career on the line, he never, even in his wildest dreams, imagined that Rey Misterio would actually win. He expected Hall to win, which would mean that not only would the match draw big money, but Rey's unmasking would as well, and WCW wouldn't lose anything in the process. But now that Rey has won, WCW stands to lose one of its biggest stars....and that's no good for WCW and its future. It is because of this that Bischoff has decided....(the crowd is booing loudly as they already seem to know what is coming)....that Scott Hall's contract with WCW is still valid and binding. Bischoff congratulates Rey on his win, but Rey is obviously far from happy with Bischoff's decision. Bischoff states that he has made his decision and that is that, and then he and The Outsiders leaves the ring, leaving Rey standing alone with an empty feeling despite having picking up a huge win. (B-)

Back at the announce table, Tony and Mike can't believe what they just witnessed. Tony says that in all of the years he has known Eric Bischoff he has known him to do some pretty rotten things, but this is just ridiculous. Mike agrees, saying that even after beating Scott Hall tonight after months of taunts, humiliation and abuse, Scott Hall still managed to get the last laugh on Rey, thanks to Eric Bischoff.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KevinNash2002.jpg

Kevin Nash then rejoins the announce table, and Tony asks Nash if he and Hall are proud of themselves now. Nash says he's always proud of himself, and that he can't be held responsible for what Eric Bischoff's decides to do. Tony and Mike doesn't seem to believe that Nash is as innocent in the matter as he would like for them to believe, but Tony says that War Games is coming up in a few moments and it is time to find out who is going to start in the ring in our HUGE main event.

Mike Tenay explains that two men will start the War Games match, and every two minutes another person joins the match until all eight men are in the ring. Once all eight men are in the ring, the match can be won only by scoring a submission.

"Introducing the individual who will start the match for Team Goldberg, weighing in a two hundred and fifty two pounds...BOOOOOOKER T!!!!!"

Booker T walks out from the back to a great ovation from the crowd. He takes a brief moment to acknowledge them, but otherwise Booker is all business as he is completely focused on the huge task at hand. Booker enters ring one and stands there waiting to see who is going to start the match for Team Elite.

"And introducing the individual who will start the match for Team Elite, being accompanied to the ring by Cheerleader Melissa, weighing in at two hundred and thirty five pounds, "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett!!!!"

"The Chosen One" makes his way out from the back with Cheerleader Melissa in tow. Double J looks confident as he walks toward the rings, but his usual cockiness doesn't quite seem to be present tonight. As Jarrett enters the ring the cage that surrounds the two rings is lowered down all the way as the rest of the competitors will enters the ring through the cage door.

War Games Match for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship

The bell sounded and the War Games match officially got under way as Booker and Jarrett circled each other for a few moments while Mike Tenay took the opportunity to talk about how important strategy is in this match, especially for Booker T right now as he knows the next person to enter the match will be from Team Elite, meaning that if Booker T could somehow incapacitate Jarrett before the next person enters, he could potentially avoid having to deal with a two on one situation. Booker and Jarrett finally locked up in the center of ring one and Booker used his superior size to force Jarrett back into corner where he he began laying into him with some vicious, Ric Flair-like chops to Double J's chest, drawing quite a few "WOO's" from the crowd. Booker continued working Jarrett over in the corner, alternating between chops to the chest and punches to the head to wear Jarrett down.

Booker whipped Jarrett into the ropes and hit a standing side kick, sending the chosen one to the mat as Booker T completely dominated the early goings of the match. Booker pulled Jarrett back to his feet, scooped him up, and slammed him back first onto the mat again as Cheerleader Melissa screamed at Booker from outside the cage. Booker pulled Jarrett back to his feet again, but Jarrett caught Booker off guard with an elbow to the gut...and another one...and a third! The two began exchanging punches as the final countdown began for the next entrant into the match

The exchange continued in the ring, with Booker T looking like he was getting the better end of the deal.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RicFlair2.jpg

"The Nature Boy" Ric Flair made his way down to ringside and entered the rings through the cage door that the referee was holding open for him. Flair immediately came to the aid of Jarrett, and a two on one beatdown ensued, which prompted Mike Tenay to explain that this is exactly why it was so important to win the Beat The Clock challenge that was held on Nitro, which was won by Scott Steiner, because the man advantage that that they were seeing in the ring right now could very well end up being a deciding factor. The crowd was booing loudly, not liking the two on one beatdown of one of the most popular wrestlers in WCW, but Jarrett and Flair were relentless in their attack, determined to make the most of the advantage, which Kevin Nash noted was the smart thing to do.

Chop by Flair, punch by Jarrett, chop by Flair, punch by Jarrett...the punishment continued for several seconds until Jarrett took Booker down with a Russian Legsweep. Ric Flair then applied the Figure Four Leglock on Booker, while Jarrett kicked away at the upper body and head of the former WCW World Champion. Booker T was screaming in pain but, to his credit, he wasn't tapping out. It wouldn't have meant anything even if he did, but he still wasn't tapping. Flair kept the Figure Four applied, and Jarrett bounced off the ropes and dropped a knee right onto Booker T's head as Tony noted that Booker T was in a world of trouble already.

Flair finally broke the Figure Four, but the damage had certainly been done as Booker T was obviously in a lot of pain. As the final countdown began for the next entrant, Flair and Jarrett pulled Booker T to his feet and Jarrett hit The Stroke on Booker T.

10...9...8...7...6...

With Booker T down and out, at least for the time being, Flair and Jarrett both turned their attention to the entrance ramp, just waiting for the next person to enter.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DiamondDallasPage.jpg

It's DDP! Diamond Dallas Page made his way down to the rings, the look on his face leaving little doubt about the fact that he fully realized that he was walking into a bad situation with Flair and Jarrett just waiting to jump him as soon as he entered. Still, DDP showed no hesitation as he entered ring one and started swinging, landing several shots on both Flair and Jarrett before the numbers game finally caught up with the master of the Diamond Cutter. Flair and Jarrett once again worked well together, using their numbers advantage to gain the upper hand quite expertly, and it looked like Page was going to suffer the same fate as Booker T, but Booker T suddenly came from out of nowhere and evened the odds. Booker beat Jarrett all the way across ring one, through the ropes, and into ring two, much to the delight of the fans and the fury of Cheerleader Melissa.

Meanwhile, back in ring one, DDP began laying into Ric Flair with several huge right handed punches, finishing off the barrage with an impressive discuss punch that sent "The Nature Boy" to the floor. DDP continued to dominate in ring one, while Booker T and Jeff Jarrett went back and forth in ring two, neither man able to keep the advantage for any real length of time. Seeing this, and with Flair down for the moment, DDP left ring one and joined Booker and Jarrett in ring two, putting "The Chosen One" at a one man disadvantage for the time being.

10..9...8...7...6...

Diamond Cutter! DDP just nailed Jarrett with the Diamond Cutter! As the countdown neared zero, it was with Booker T and Diamond Dallas Page standing tall in the ring.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/SeanOHaire2001.jpg

Sean O'Haire, the man who retired "The Total Package" Lex Luger at Starrcade, made his way down to the ring, showing no signs of hesitation despite the fact that two of WCW's top stars were waiting for him, and O'Haire entered ring one, ran toward the ropes and jumped over the ropes and into ring two, taking out both Booker and DDP in the process. O'Haire jumped back to his feet and went on the offensive, throwing Booker T head first into the cage, only to turn around and do the exact same thing to Diamond Dallas Page. Tony and Mike commented that Sean O'Haire has everything it takes to become a major star in this industry, his victory over Lex Luger at Starrcade proved that, and now he has brought a whole new level of intensity and viciousness to the War Games match.

O'Haire pulled Booker T back to his feet and tossed him against the cage again, showing no mercy and even less hesitation. He pulled DDP back to his feet and introduced him to the steel cage once again as well, and blood began to slowly drip down Page's face as the brutality of War Games claimed its first victim of the night. Ric Flair made his way from ring one to ring two, and he joined Sean O'Haire in taking Booker T and DDP apart while Kevin Nash, rather out of the blue, commented that he should have been a part of this match, having seeminly forgotten that he actually had the opportunity to captain his own team, but he lost it when he was defeated by Goldberg in a one on one matchup on Monday Nitro.

10...9...8...7...6...

As the countdown neared zero, Jeff Jarrett got back to his feet as well, putting Team Elite firmly in control of the match for the time being as both Booker T and DDP were in rough shape.

5...4...3...2...1...

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillGoldberg2.jpg

It's The Man! The World Heavyweight Champion ran down the entrance ramp and quickly entered the cage. Sean O'Haire moved to intercept Goldberg but....SPEAR!!!! Goldberg damn near broke Sean O'Haire in half with a HUGE Spear! Flair and Jarrett immediately abandoned what they were doing and turned their attention to Goldberg, both of them realizing that a new major threat had just entered the match. With Goldberg standing dominantly in ring one, and Flair and Jarrett standing somewhat more hesitantly in ring two, the excitement rose among the crowd and a huge "Goldberg" chant began echoing throughout the arena.

Goldberg moved from ring one to ring two, but as soon as he entered ring two, Flair and Jarrett jumped him and attempted to, once again, use their numbers advantage to take control, but Goldberg shoved them both away, grabbed Flair, picked him up, and drove him into the mat with a huge pumphandle slam. Jarrett attempted to catch Goldberg off guard, but Goldberg grabbed Double J by the throat, lifted him up in a Military Press, and slammed him down on the floor of the ring. It was complete dominance for the World Champion!

LOW BLOW!!!! Sean O'Haire just kicked Goldberg right in the....Tony Schiavone's voice trailed off, apparently not willing to say "that word" even on pay per view. Kevin Nash had no such qualms, however, and confirmed that, yes, Sean O'Haire did indeed kick Goldberg in the balls. With Goldberg doubled over, Ric Flair and Jeff Jarrett both grabbed Goldberg and hit a double DDT on the reigning World Champion, whose momentum seemed to finally have been halted, at least for the moment.

10...9...8...7...6...

As the countdown for the final Team Elite member neared zero, Booker T was back on his feet, and he sent Jeff Jarrett flying over the top rope and back into ring one. Booker T followed after, leaving Jeff Jarrett and Diamond Dallas Page to exchange blows in ring two, while Sean O'Haire kept his focus on Goldberg.

5...4...3...2...1...

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottSteiner.jpg

As "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner made his way down to ringside, Tony Schiavone wondered what kind of Team Captain would put himself as the last entrant, and he wondered whether it was good strategy. Mike Tenay said he couldn't think of anything more dangerous than a fresh Scott Steiner coming into the match at this stage, which Tony had to agree with, while Nash said that he could think of something more dangerous...himself.

As Steiner joined the match he walked right past Booker T and headed for ring two and the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, Goldberg. With O'Haire still keeping Goldberg down on the floor, Scott Steiner capitalized by locking in the Steiner Recliner, pulling back on Goldberg's head as much as he possibly could, while Sean O'Haire landed several hard punches to the champion's head.

Back in ring one, Booker T hit a Bookend on Jeff Jarrett, and Booker then headed for ring two, putting all of the active competitors in ring two expect for Jeff Jarrett. Booker T nailed Steiner with a stiff kick to the back of his head, forcing him to break the Steiner Recliner, while Ric Flair drove DDP head first into the steel cage again, causing even more blood to seep from the cut on Page's forehead.

10...9...8...7...6...

As Mike Tenay commented that DDP was in very rough shape, Booker T grabbed Flair and drove him head first into the steel cage as well, giving him a taste of his own medicine and drawing blood from "The Nature Boy" as well. Booker then turned around and walked right into a Steiner Flatliner, and then Steiner, Jarrett, and Sean O'Haire began to triple team Goldberg while Flair, DDP, and Booker T were all down.

5...4...3...2...1...

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Sting24.jpg

The crowd already knew that Sting was the only one left, and they were already cheering for him before he even made his way out from the back. Sting entered the currently empty ring one, and made a beeline for ring two where he grabbed Sean O'Haire and sent him flying into the steel cage. Jarrett got the same treatment, and then "The Conscience of WCW" began exchange blows with "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner, the fans cheering and booing with every shot given and taken.

CRACK!!!!

Jeff Jarrett just nailed Sting with a lead pipe!!! Mike and Tony both wondered where Jarrett even got the pipe, but a timely replay showed that Cheerleader Melissa slipped it to Jarrett through the holes in the cage. Now armed with a dangerous weapon, Jarrett went on a rampage, nailed Goldberg and Booker T with the pipe as well until DDP managed to halt his momentum with a kick to the stomach and a quick DDT. The damage had been done, however, and Page was easy pickings for Scott Steiner and Ric Flair, who swiftly beat him down and tossed him over the rop rope and into ring one.

Flair followed DDP into ring one and immediately applied the Figure Four Leglock, but the hold was broken up by none other than a furious looking Scott Steiner, who apparently didn't appreciate Flair trying to win the match, and the World Title. Steiner screamed at Flair that the World Title was his to win, and Flair was just there to help make that happen. The two stared each other down, but before anything could come of it, Booker T and Sting attacked, with Booker locking up with Flair, and Sting with Steiner.

Meanwhile, back in ring two, Goldberg had Sean O'Haire primed and ready for the Jackhammer, and he delivered it with devastating impact, driving O'Haire into the mat with as much force as he could muster, which was a hell of a lot, and Sean O'Haire was not moving. With Sean O'Haire down in ring two, Goldberg headed for ring one where Booker T, Sting, Scott Steiner and Ric Flair were all brawling, while Jarrett slipped into ring two and sat down in one of the corners to catch his breath.

In ring one, Scott Steiner sent DDP flying over the top rope and into ring two, and then the crowd erupted as Goldberg and Steiner began exchanging punches while Sting and Booker T fought side by side with Goldberg against Steiner and Flair. With the five of them preoccupied with their fighting, and Sean O'Haire still not moving, Jeff Jarrett saw a golden opportunity as DDP was still down and bleeding profusely now from the cut on his forehead. Jarrett got to his feet, moved over to DDP, grabbed his legs, and went for his own version of the Figure Four Leglock....

But DDP kicked him off!

Both men then got to their feet at roughly the same time and.....

DIAMOND CUTTER!!!

Page nailed Jarrett with his finisher from out of nowhere! DDP then grabbed hold of Jarrett's legs and applied what looked like a slightly modified version of the Sharpshooter/Scorpion Deathlock--IS JARRETT GOING TO SUBMIT?!?

The fighting continued in ring one until both Goldberg and Scott Steiner saw, at the same time, that Jarrett was in trouble in ring two. Steiner moved toward ring two, but Goldberg stopped him, pushed him away, and then Goldberg headed for ring two, only for Steiner to stop him this time, and then the two brawled again, despite both of them obviously wanting to enter ring two and do...something, and Kevin Nash was quick to state, in no uncertain terms, that Goldberg wanted to break up the submission and rob his own teammate of the win, though both Tony and Mike said that there was no proof of that whatsoever.

With Jarrett still barely hanging on in ring two, Sean O'Haire began stirring and crawling toward DDP and Jarrett, but would he get there in time?

....

....

....

....

NO!!!!

Jeff Jarrett tapped out, unable to endure the pain any longer! We've got a new champion!!!!

Team Goldberg defeated Team Elite at 22.30 by submission when DDP forced Jeff Jarrett to submit with a modified Sharpshooter/Scorpion Deathlock. Diamond Dallas Page wins the WCW World Heavyweight Championship (B)

A battered, bruised and bloodied Diamond Dallas Page is handed the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and he raises it high above his head. Confusion, frustration and disappointment is evident on the faces of the rest of the competitors in the match, but for Diamond Dallas Page this is his moment of glory as he stands tall in the ring as the winner of War Games and the new WCW World Heavyweight Champion!

But wait, what's this?!?

As the nWo music starts playing, Tony and Mike both turn to Kevin Nash and asks him what is going on, but Nash simply says that "this, boys and girls, is what we call a gamechanger".

Nash then leaves the announce table and joins Scott Hall at the top of the entrance ramp, while Tony, Mike, every single fan in attendance, and the new World Heavyweight Champion, still standing in the ring with his newly won title in his hands, DDP, is obviously wondering what the heck is going on. Nash and Hall walks a few steps down the entrance ramp, and then they both stop and point back toward the top of the ramp.........

IT'S SHAWN MICHAELS!!!!!

SHAWN MICHAELS IS IN WCW!!!!

Tony and Mike are seemingly at a loss for words, but the fans are, rather unsurprisingly, giving Shawn Michaels a HUGE ovation, despite the fact that he is wearing the black and white colors of the nWo. Shawn joins Nash and Hall, and with the three nWo members standing side by side, and with the HUGE and shocking reveal of Shawn Michaels as a new member of the WCW roster, and of the nWo, SuperBrawl comes to one hell of an end! SuperBrawl is officially up! It took a bit longer to get the show up than I had hoped, but hopefully it will be worth the wait.

As always, comments and feedback is appreciated, so if you've got some, I'd love to hear it.

Prediction contest results, and the next Monday Nitro card, will be up tomorrow.
