Sting vs. Jeff Jarrett

World contender needs to look good.

Scott Hall vs. Kanyon

Can't see Kanyon being big enough to beat Hall as of yet.

Scott Steiner vs. Jamie Noble

Ouch...

Mike Awesome vs. Goldberg

Poor Players.

Marty Jannetty vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Marty just seems like, by 2001, he's gonna be mostly putting guys over.

Norman Smiley and Jim Duggan vs. KroniK

A nice win for the big guys, and maybe they'll even pick up some skills along the way.

Sting vs. Jeff Jarrett

I could never vote for Jarrett

Scott Hall vs. Kanyon

I love Hall, but I think Kanyon deserves a push

Scott Steiner vs. Jamie Noble

Squash!

Mike Awesome vs. Goldberg

I hate Goldturd! Awesome is better in the ring and should never job to that flash in the pan.

Marty Jannetty vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Marty isn't done just yet...

Norman Smiley and Jim Duggan vs. KroniK

Breaking necks and cashin checks!

He says that they have gotten soft and complacent and because of that nobody fears or respects them right now and that has to change. He says that there is no room for division in the ranks so everybody has to get on the same page, making a point of looking directly at Kevin Nash when he said the last part. Hall and Jarrett both seems to be fine with that idea, but Nash and Steiner seems far more reluctant to agree with that notion. However, in the end they do agree to get on the same page, but they both do so very reluctantly. ©

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DustyRhodes.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RoadDogg.jpg

Dusty Rhodes has left his position at the announce table and is now backstage where he is standing by with BG James, ready to interview him regarding his upcoming match against Mike Sanders at Fall Brawl. Sanders then lands one final kick before he takes Stacy's hand the pair makes their escape while Dusty Rhodes checks on BG James. (D+)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/MartyJannetty2.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ChavoGuerreroJr.jpg

Back in the ring it was time for the second match of the night between Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Marty Jannetty. Both men having plenty to prove and it showed in what was a very even matchup that probably could have gone either way if it hadn't been for Chavo Guerrero Jr.'s fondness for cheating. With the referee down after an "accidental" collision with Guerrero, Chavo pulled a chain out from under the ring, wrapped it around his fist and blasted Jannetty with it. It was then easy for Chavo to hide the chain, wake the referee up and cover Jannetty for the win.

Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated Marty Jannetty at 8.02 by pinfall after using a foreign object on Jannetty (D+)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/MartyJannetty2.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ChavoGuerreroJr.jpg

The match is over but Chavo does not look like he is done as he slides out of the ring, but rather than leaving he grabs a steel chair at ringside and slides back into the ring while Mike Tenay mentions that Marty Jannetty has teamed with Chavo's opponent at Fall Brawl, Rey Misterio Jr., and speculates that it could be why Chavo is doing this. Back in the ring, Chavo begins to stalk Marty Jannetty who is completely unaware of the impending doom when suddenly the crowd roars with excitement....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ReyMysterioMask.jpg

The Cruiserweight Champion rushes down to ringside to save his tag team partner and now it is Chavo's turn to look completely unaware. Misterio hits the ring and rushes at Chavo but Chavo suddenly spins around and blasts Misterio in the head with the chair, using Misterio's own momentum against him for added effect. With Rey down and possibly unconscious, Chavo taps a finger against the side of his forehead in a classic "I'm so smart" gesture as the announcers conclude that Guerrero intended to lure Misterio to the ring and that this was all a setup on the part of Chavo Guerrero. Chavo stands tall above Rey Misterio, signalling that the Cruiserweight Championship is coming home with him this Sunday night. (D-)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/EricBischoff3.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JeffJarrett.jpg

Eric Bischoff and Jeff Jarrett are marching through the backstage area, stopping random stage hands and other people and asking them if they have seen Sting around. Nobody has seen him, however, and both Bischoff and Jarrett seems rather freaked out by that fact. "What the hell is he up to?" Bischoff wonders out loud, then looks at Jarrett who says he has no clue. "Damn it!" In the ring, Hall and Kanyon had a competitive back and forth match, but the advantage in the ring was often determined by the two men outside the ring. Unsurprisingly the match eventually broke down completely as Nash and DDP were openly brawling at ringside and the confusion allowed Hall to, once again, use the pair of brass knucks to his advantage, blasting Kanyon with them behind the referee's back. WCW Backstage News And Rumors

In the past we have tried to keep you, the fans, updated with news and rumors as we get them but this is the first official edition of "WCW Backstage News and Rumors"

Trouble for Shane Douglas?

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Shane_Douglas7.jpg

We have received word that "The Franchise" Shane Douglas has recently been handed a 30 day suspension by Eric Bischoff after Douglas was involved in an altercation with a fan following one of the recent editions of Monday Nitro. Douglas, who recently signed a brand new two year contract with WCW, is said to be developing a reputation for being somewhat of a trouble maker as he also received an official warning shortly after signing his new contract after a confrontation with an unnamed member of the WCW roster. The timing could not be worse for Douglas himself as we have received word that plans were in place for a Shane Douglas push which was expected to begin at the Fall Brawl pay per view. Those plans have been scrapped for now and management is said to be much less high on Douglas now than they were a couple of weeks ago when he was resigned, and many speculate that they might actually be regretting the decision altogether.

Comings and Goings

Brian Adams, Bryan Clark and Kaz Hayashi have all been offered contract extentions and deals are expected to be finalized within the new few days. Adams and Clark--also known as KroniK--is said to be viewed by management as an important part of the tag team division in WCW, both now and in the future, and there was never any doubt that they would be offered new contracts. Kaz Hayashi, despite not being seen much on Nitro, is also viewed as a valuable member of the roster going forward, both as a cruiserweight and as part of the Jung Dragons tag team with Yun Yang.

Damn, hate to see Shane get depushed like that, but if he's being a pain then maybe it'll be for the best. The Dragons and Kronik sticking around is a good thing though for sure, I think Kronik could make good tag champs in the future.

BG James came out strong in this one and dominated the opening minutes of the match, obviously enjoying finally getting his hands on Sanders' after weeks of frustration. Sanders eventually fights back into it and makes it an even, back and forth match for the next few minutes. Every time Booker tries to fight back, his attempts are cut off by the Impact Players who are dominating the first half of the match. Booker T then makes another heroic attempt at a comeback and this time it sticks as Booker T is able to create enough separation between him and the Impact Players to get to his corner and make the hot tag to Goldberg. Goldberg hits the ring and absolutely dominates, taking on both Storm and Awesome at the same time and holding his own. Booker T eventually regains enough of his strength to join the frey as well and as Booker and Storm fights outside the ring, Goldberg spears Mike Awesome in the ring and it is good for three.

Goldberg and Booker T defeated The Impact Players at 11.37 by pinfall when Goldberg pinned Awesome following a Spear (C+)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillGoldberg2.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BookerT.jpg

The match is over and Booker T and Goldberg are celebrating their win in the ring, much to the delight of the fans who are on their feet for two of WCW's biggest superstars. (B-)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottSteiner.jpg

The WCW World Heavyweight Champion, "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner, is backstage with a message for Sting. Things do eventually settle down a bit in this heated contest and we get some actual tag team wrestling. The Outsiders take control early on by using the typical nWo tactics of tricks and general cheating to gain the upper hand, but an impressive comeback from DDP and a hot tag to Kanyon changes all of that as Kanyon is absolutely on fire! Clothesline on Hall! Dropkick on Nash! Another clothesline on Hall! DDP eventually gains the upper hand and clotheslines Hall over the top rope and to the outside. The referee follows after them, still trying to regain control of the match, and Kevin Nash uses this opportunity to reach into his pants and pull out a pair of brass knucks.

Tony Schiavone: Wait a minute, not this again!

Mike Tenay: Those are the brass knucks that Scott Hall has used against DDP and Kanyon in the past, don't tell me The Outsiders are going to steal another win here!

Nash turns around and begins to stalk Kanyon in the ring, his fist poised and ready to strike....but Kanyon ducks!!! Nash spins around but he is met with a hard right hand punch from Kanyon! And another one! And another! Kanyon is absolutely rocking Nash's jaw with those bombs! Instead, Luger points at Bischoff and asks him "what are you doing out here?" but Bischoff simply smirks, apparently not feeling inclined to share his reasons. This provides all the distraction that Jeff Jarrett needs and Jarrett sneaks up behind Luger and hits a surprise Stroke on him, all the while Eric Bischoff is laughing loudly at ringside as he is apparently highly amused by this. Jarrett then covers Luger...1...2...3!

Jeff Jarrett defeated Lex Luger at 11.15 by pinfall following a Stroke after Eric Bischoff distracted Luger (C-)

As Jarrett celebrates his win in the ring, Eric Bischoff continues to be extremely amused at ringside as he laughs at Luger's "misfortune" while the announcers informs us that the main event is up next!

WCW World Heavyweight Championship

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/WCWWorld3.jpg

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottSteiner.jpgw/http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Midajah.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Sting3.jpg

In this hotly anticipated main event the winner of the No Disqualificaiton match would definitely put himself in the drivers seat heading into match two, which will take place in two weeks live on Monday Nitro in a Last Man Standing match. With the stage set the match gets underway and it is a brawl right off the bat with both men swinging for the fences while the announcers remind everyone that this is a NO-DQ match so anything and everything goes, really. The match is about as even as a match could possibly be and the fans are absolutely loving it! Steiner eventually takes control of the match but no matter what he throws at Sting, he just keeps getting back up, much to Steiner's frustration. Finally Steiner decides that enough is enough as he grabs a steel chair--fully intending to take Sting's head off with it, but as soon as Steiner re-enters the ring, Sting is all over him. Rights and lefts, kicks and clotheslines, Sting is really taking it to Steiner now! Suddenly a chrous of boo's are head and it does not take long to figure out why as the camera cuts to the entrance ramp....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KevinNash2002.jpg

Tony Schiavone: Oh, great! It is supposed to be one on one, not two on one!

The announcers are clearing getting fed up with the nWo's tactics, but Nash doesn't care. He heads straight to the ring, but as soon as he steps over the ropes he is met by Sting who thankfully see's Nash coming. Sting beats Nash back into the corner and then runs across the ring, first hitting a Stinger Splash on Steiner in one corner, and then back with a Stinger Splash on Nash in the other corner as well and the crowd is going absolutely crazy!!!

Mike Tenay: Sting is taking it to the nWo! Come on, Sting!!!

Tony Schiavone: Guys, I am being told that Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon are fighting Scott Hall and Jeff Jarrett in the back as we speak. And then the two on one beatdown begins as both Steiner and Nash starts beating the hell out of Sting who, to his credit, is still trying to fight back but the odds are just too stacked against him and eventually even the Stinger runs out of gas due to the two on one assault. Nash then hits a Jackknife Powerbomb on Sting and Steiner follows it up with a Steiner Flatliner and Sting looks to be unconscious. Those damn nWo swines!!! Ahhrrghhgg.... Loved the show man, great to see Booker and Goldberg boss it :D and remain on the same page after too... One little thing, where it says Stiener is backstage, you have a pic of Booker. Just after the Booker/Goldberg in ring celebration...

Overall I thought the content was precise, to the point, and enjoyable. Liked Bam Bam's impact, and the way the Outsiders won :)

Time for this months prediction results and once again it was a close race between Beejus and The Lloyd who, also again, both predicted on every single show this month, so a huge thank you to both you guys! The result is as follows;

Beejus:22 hits

The Lloyd:23 hits

So yeah, extremely close for the second straight month but The Lloyd just managed to put an end to Beejus's winning streak so congratulations to The Lloyd on the win and, again, huge thanks to both of you for your support.

Thanks also to TheBooker, shawnbill5000, SteenBTW, Anderz, Destiny and LordJaguar who all predicted on at least one show during this month. It is much appreciated, guys.

Oh and as for The Lloyd, your prize will be in your inbox within the next 24 hours.

Can I join in on the predictions? Seems kind of fun.

Scott Steiner vs. Rey Misterio Jr.: Scott Steiner all the way. He just got crowned champion, so he needs to keep his momentum up to solidify himself as a credible champion.

Kevin Nash vs. Lex Luger: Nash wins. Similar situation as Scott Steiner: newly reformed nWo, and needs to keep the momentum up for the group or they'll end up like nWo 2000 or the WWE's version.

BG James vs. Bam Bam Bigelow: As much of an ECW fan as I am, BG is far more charismatic, and that helps with sales. The former Road Dogg would pick up the W if I were booking.

Rick Steiner vs. Hugh Morris vs. Konnan vs. Ernest Miller: Konnan. He's the only one of those guys from that era who stood out to me. Maybe it was because he dressed like every other fellow middle schooler that I knew.

Boogie Knights vs. DDP and Kanyon: DDP and Kanyon. Boogie Knights were the quintessential comedy jobbers.

Impact Players vs. Norman Smiley and Jim Duggan: Impact Players. While not a money maker, Lance Storm has always been underappreciated as a talent.
