Six-Man Tag Match

Rey Mysterio and two partners of his choice vs. Chavo Guerrero and the Basham Brothers

Comment: I'm calling it: Rey's partners will defeat the Bashams for the belts eventually.

Scotty 2 Hotty w/Rikishi vs. Super Crazy

Comment: Crazy is probably just a jobber by now.

Billy Gunn vs. The Big Show

Comment: IT'S SQUASHIN' TIME

Billy Kidman vs. Nunzio

Comment: In my opinion, the toughest match to pick in the entire card. Could really go either way, but i like Kidman more.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Charlie Haas

Comment: Eddie needs more momentum going into WM XX.

Non-Title Match

Chris Benoit vs. Shelton Benjamin

Comment: Should really be a awesome match, but by now, there is no chance in hell of a Benjamin win.

Sorry for not commenting in the last shows, i've been focusing on my flops...but it's good that you're back.

WWE SmackDown!Thursday, Week 2, March 2004

The opening video plays featuring the WWE Superstars that will be on the show tonight as Michael Cole and Tazz welcome the television audience to tonight's presentation of WWE SmackDown!

RATING: 91 (A)

Notes: None.

The theme music of former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar hits the speakers as the freak of nature hits the ring looking angry. Lesnar gets in the ring and grabs a mic.

Brock Lesnar: I'm sick and tired of this. First, Goldberg costs me my WWE Championship at No Way Out, and then he blindsides me and puts me through a table, and if I do anything about it before WrestleMania then I don't get to wrestle? This is absolutely ridiculous and Austin, just know that at WrestleMania, if you even accidentally get in my way, I will drop you like the old man that you are. I'm gonna be the one opening up a can of whoop-ass, because I'm the best wrestler this business has ever seen and you're nothing but a dumbass redneck with a beer belly. And that's the bottom line, because Brock Lesnar said so!

RATING: 78 (B).

Notes: None.

Rey Mysterio and the APA vs. Chavo Guerrero and the Basham Brothers

Before the match, Rey announced that his partners for the night would be the ass-kicking, beer drinking team of Bradshaw and Ron Simmons. The Acolyte Protection Agency, along with the Cruiserweight Champion, proved to be too much for the opposing side. Mysterio hit the 6-1-9 to Doug Basham who turned around into the Clothesline From Hell as Bradshaw made the cover for the victory!

RATING: 55 (C-)

Notes: 7:36. Rey switched to an Underdog gimmick, it debuted with an 82 rating. Bradshaw's really becoming an overall better worker in the ring.

Backstage, Josh Matthews is with Eddie Guerrero, whom he asks about the upcoming Triple Threat at WrestleMania.

Eddie Guerrero: Everybody knows that Eddie Guerrero respects both Chris Benoit and Kurt Angle, but at WrestleMania, holmes...it won't be about respect. This has been my dream, mi sueño, for over 12 years, ese. And I'm gonna stop at nothing to make that WWE Championship mine.

RATING: 83 (B+)

Notes: None.

Scotty 2 Hotty vs. Super Crazy

Super Crazy's second SmackDown matchup went much like the first, as the Mexican cruiserweight defeated Scotty 2 Hotty following a nice Crazysault.

RATING: 59 ©

Notes: 6:24.

Backstage, the crowd pops as Torrie Wilson is walking backstage. Someone calls her name, and it turns out to be Billy Kidman walking behind her. She turns and he talks.

Billy Kidman: Hey Torrie, how's everything been?

Torrie Wilson: Great, Billy, how've you been?

Billy Kidman: Not so bad myself, but hey, listen. I've been thinking. This past year or so, I haven't been doing so well on SmackDown and I'm trying to get that spark back. When you were my manager, I was on top of the world as the Cruiserweight Champion, and I really want to get back to that level. I think that you gave me the spark to compete and become as great as I was. So I know this is probably coming off a little weird to you, but basically all I'm asking is for you to accompany me to the ring for my match against Nunzio tonight.

Torrie looks at him and stutters a little bit, before agreeing.

Torrie Wilson: You know what, sure. I was on my way to Paul Heyman's office to tell him that I'm not being used enough, so I'd love to go with you, Billy.

We head to a commercial break.

RATING: 81 (B)

Notes: None.

Billy Gunn vs. The Big Show

Billy Gunn faced a tall task in this one. He gave a ton of effort, and even though he had control late in the matchup, the Big Show was the victor after a Chokeslam that caught Gunn off guard. A-Train had been distracting the referee, and Gunn turned directly into the big man's slam.

RATING: 74 (B-)

Notes: 8:33.

____________________________________________

The Big Show stands in the ring menacingly, receiving his United States Championship. He holds it up high above his head, but is interrupted by the arrival of John Cena! "Basic Thuganomics" hits and the Franchise makes his way out to the ring with a microphone.

John Cena: Yo, Big Show. Congrats my man, you proved yourself out there. You did the unthinkable and beat a guy half ya size with help from another lame ass clown. Nah, I'm just playin', the only thing you proved in this match is that you don't deserve that US title, and that John Cena is gonna be the one to take it from you at WrestleMan--

Enraged, Big Show knocks Cena with a fist to the jaw! The microphone goes flying and the Big Show begins to viciously assault the challenger! He hits him with a splash in the corner and hits him to the ground. The champion gets on top of Cena and wraps his massive hands around the challenger's throat, constricting his air flow!

Officials from the back hit the ring and Big Show tosses a couple of them right out the other side of it. He continues to assault Cena in between the waves of officials until finally enough of them gang up on him and back him into a corner. By this time, Cena has dragged himself up to his feet and he runs at the group of officials to get him some of the Big Show! Cena is pulled away as both men stare intensely down at one another and shout insults.

RATING: 86 (B+)

Notes: None.

Billy Kidman w/Torrie Wilson vs. Nunzio

Billy Kidman's new manager, Torrie Wilson, seemed to give him a confidence boost. Kidman looked impressive and finished Nunzio off with the Shooting Star Press.

RATING: 58 (C-)

Notes: 6:13.

A comprehensive video of the history of Kane and The Undertaker airs, creating hype for the return of the Phenom at WrestleMania!

RATING: 82 (B)

Notes: None.

Before the two main events of the night, Kurt Angle hits the ring to commentate! The crowd gives him a mixed reaction as he sits down beside Michael Cole and Tazz.

RATING: 73 (B-)

Notes: None.

Eddie Guerrero vs. Charlie Haas

In the first matchup between the World's Greatest Tag Team members and two of the wrestlers in the WrestleMania main event, Latino Heat went one-on-one with Charlie Haas. This was a well-wrestled match and Angle was quite partisan toward Guerrero. He claimed to have no affiliation with the former Team Angle and that his respect for Guerrero and Benoit trumps his connection to the other two.

Angle's words proved to be true in this match. In a fairly straightforward match, Eddie came out victorious after a Frog Splash.

RATING: 82 (B)

Notes: 7:44. Haas's Performance skills are getting better.

____________________________________________

Backstage, Hardcore Holly enters the locker room of Billy Gunn.

Hardcore Holly: Hey, listen, I know you're sick and tired of A-Train gettin' in your way, and I know he can be a pain in the ass so I just want you to know that I respect you and I've got your back if you need it.

Gunn shows his appreciation with a handshake and the two seem to have formed an alliance.

RATING: 65 ©

Notes: None.

vfVCug4.jpg vs. 1cBihZ1.jpg

Chris Benoit vs. Shelton Benjamin

The speculation as to whether or not Angle would soften up the champion in some way intensified, but the Olympic Hero stayed true to his word. Kurt simply stayed at ringside and scouted his opponent, who was able to fend off Shelton's fervent effort after reversing a T-Bone Suplex into the Crippler Crossface!

RATING: 84 (B+)

Notes: 10:16. Shelton looked good off the top rope in this match, he's getting better at Flying.

____________________________________________

Following the match, Benoit stares down at Angle and holds up his WWE Championship. Angle just smiles, and Shelton Benjamin attacks the champion from behind, knocking the belt out of the ring! Charlie Haas hits the ring to put the boots to Benoit, and Angle grabs the belt. He slides into the ring and takes both members of the World's Greatest Tag Team out with the title belt!

The final scene of the night shows Kurt looking at Benoit, who has pulled himself up by the ropes, handing him back his belt as if to say "This will be mine soon"....

RATING: 67 (C+)

Notes: I'm not sure if fans left after Benoit won, but this one didn't get the expected crowd reaction.

WWE RAWMonday, Week 3, March 2004

The opening video plays featuring the Superstars that will be on the show tonight as Jim Ross and Jerry "The King" Lawler welcome the television audience to tonight's presentation of Monday Night RAW!

RATING: 85 (B+)

Notes: None.

The Hurricane and Rosey vs. Evolution

Even though they won last week, the superheroes were no match for the “future” portion of Evolution. Orton and Batista sent a message to Mick Foley as Batista planted Rosey with the Batista Bomb.

RATING: 67 (C+)

Notes: 7:32. Rosey dragged this match down. Batista's gonna be a pretty good brawler.

____________________________________________

Backstage, Vitamin C is frantically scouring the backstage area for the belts that the Dudley Boyz stole from them. Christian spots Spike Dudley walking backstage and the two run up to him.

Christian: Spike, Spike... where's Bubba Ray and D-Von? They took our belts, Spike, you've gotta help us.

Chris Jericho: Spike, it's me, your best friend in the entire world, “Y2J” Chris Jericho! Help me out buddy!

Spike Dudley: I don't have any idea where my brothers are guys. Even if I did, why would I tell you two?

Chris Jericho: Listen here, you inbred jackass, tell me where your piece of trash brothers are before the tag team champions take your head and shove it up your own ass!

Christian: Where are they, Spike?

Christian slaps Spike across the face, but he still refuses to answer. Suddenly, Christian attacks Spike Dudley by sending him face first into the wall! Jericho puts the boots to him, but Christian continues to push it to the next level. After an Unprettier on the floor, Spike is busted open and Christian stands over him. Jericho looks a bit apprehensive, thinking that Christian went a bit too far, but the search for the titles continues.

RATING: 68 (C+)

Notes: None.

I19scf9.jpg vs. 6AJVshI.jpg

Lita vs. Miss Jackie

Miss Jackie was defeated with a nice Moonsault as Lita ran circles around her in the ring.

RATING: 48 (D+)

Notes: 6:10. This match was a disaster with the crowd hating Jackie, Lita not looking as sharp as usual, and the awkward chemistry between the two.

A video airs, and it opens up with cameras flashing. It goes over to a man with long hair, sunglasses and a long fur coat. He's with a woman of Latin descent, wearing a brown top with a denim skirt and nearly knee-level leather boots. The two are surrounded by paparazzi and strike different poses for the flashing cameras. They order the paparazzi away.

Man: Out here in Hollywood, cameras love us. A spotlight hits us at all times, and that's because these people know the type of celebrity that they want to see. One with flash, one with charisma, and the star quality to sell out arenas when their name's up in lights.

Woman: Some things just fit perfectly. Like Johnny Nitro, Melina, and the WWE. We are the hottest team on the scene, and nobody is going to be able to stop our rise to the top!

Nitro and Melina pose for the cameras as we head back to ringside.

RATING: 34 (E+)

Notes: None.

____________________________________________

Back at ringside, Mark Henry's theme hits as he comes to the ring with his manager, Theodore Long, for his match. Henry stands menacingly in the ring as Long grabs a microphone.

Theodore Long: In this business, certain people make it to the top by makin' the right friends. And you, Booka T, you are one of these people. Since WCW, you've been a sellout with your catchphrase and little dance moves. You from Harlem, playa, you from the streets, and I know that. You gone soft since you started in with these white people, but lucky for you them white people put you right at the top! Mark Henry don't need no catchphrase, he don't need no dance moves. We just gonna keep poundin' on the door til the man lets us in!

Long drops the mic and Booker hits the ring, ready for the match to start.

RATING: 79 (B)

Notes: None.

f5xpIIr.jpg vs. S4VnQmH.jpg

Booker T vs. Mark Henry

These two men, hyped up by Long's pre-match words, got into a brawl. Henry would control a good portion of the match, with Booker fighting back and having the crowd on his side. The match ended when Scott Steiner hit the ring and assaulted Booker T as he was setting up for the Scissors Kick.

Steiner and Booker brawled, with Steiner getting the upper hand by tossing Booker into the barricade on the outside!

RATING: 65 ©

Notes: 7:37. The selling was pretty bad, but they had pretty good chemistry.

____________________________________________

A video recaps the Goldberg vs. Brock Lesnar contract signing, along with the stipulation that Steve Austin will be the guest referee for WrestleMania!

RATING: 86 (B+)

Notes: None.

____________________________________________

G6vVMxo.jpg vs. xYQ5dlP.jpg

Goldberg vs. Rene Dupree

The 20-year old Frenchman didn't really stand a chance here. He gave it his best shot, lasting over ten minutes due to his continued regrouping outside of the ring, but the fired up Goldberg took it to him early and often, eventually finishing him off with a Jackhammer.

RATING: 69 (C+)

Notes: 10:22. There wasn't much psychology going on here.

____________________________________________

Backstage, Shawn Michaels is walking, seemingly towards the ring. Out of nowhere, he's assaulted by Randy Orton and Batista! Michaels, jumped from behind, stands no chance against the two vicious superstars. They toss him into every object they can find and officials break them apart. Michaels is on the ground unconscious as Orton and Batista flee.

RATING: 91 (A)

Notes: None.

____________________________________________

Elsewhere, Vitamin C continues their pursuit of their championship belts. Jericho and Christian decide to knock on the door of Trish Stratus, who answers in a bit of an irritated manner.

Chris Jericho: Hey Trish um, I'm not sure if you saw what happened last week, but the Dudleyz stole our belts and we've gotta get them back from those dirty rotten thieves.

Christian: Yeah Trish if you could help us out it would be totally awesome.

Trish Stratus: So wait, you want me to go find the Dudleyz by myself and get your titles back that you let them steal in the first place? After the amount of times they've put me through tables and put my life in danger in the past?

Christian: Well yeah, I mean we are the World Tag Team Champions, it should be your honor to help us out since you have, y'know, nothing.

Trish Stratus: I can't do that, sorry Chris.

Trish closes the door and Jericho and Christian seek another way to get their titles back.

RATING: 73 (B-)

Notes: None.

Lance Storm vs. Kane

Lance Storm held his own for a bit in this matchup, but following a Chokeslam and a Tombstone Piledriver, Kane was victorious.

RATING: 76 (B-).

Notes: 6:51.

____________________________________________

After the match, Kane picks up Storm for another Tombstone, but the lights go out! The crowd roars wildly as thunder rumbles over the PA system. All of a sudden, a familiar deep, booming voice is heard.

The Undertaker: It's been told that demons...can only be put to rest...after extraordinary... torture...and pain. In thirteen days, at WrestleMania...you will feel so much agony...and suffering...that the demon known as Kane...will rest...in....peeeeeace!

Kane walks up the ramp in a deranged manner, as if to shake the voices out of his head, as we head to our final commercial break!

RATING: 78 (B)

Notes: None.

kM2rZgU.jpg vs. qOUB3EH.jpg

Rob Van Dam vs. Ric Flair w/Triple H

This was not a matchup that Ric Flair fared well in. The quick strikes of RVD were very effective against the aging technician. Flair was able to gain control with an eye rake and other cheap tactics here and there, but Van Dam looked incredibly focused as he took it to the Nature Boy. Despite every attempt by Triple H to thwart his challenger at WrestleMania, Rob Van Dam eventually knocked him off the apron and landed a Five Star Frog Splash for the win!

RATING: 81 (B)

Notes: 9:52. Flair looked pretty tired towards the end.

____________________________________________

We head backstage as referees and officials are frantically running down the hallway. They reach and area where Randy Orton and Batista are pounding on Mick Foley, whose body is already limp and bleeding. Batista scares off the officials and tosses some down the hallway. Eventually, Batista tosses Foley's body over his shoulder and Orton leads them out to the ring, where Van Dam and the rest of Evolution have left.

They roll Foley in the ring and add a few more punches to his carcass, and Orton grabs a microphone.

Randy Orton: Foley, can you hear me?! CAN YOU HEAR ME?

Orton has Batista lift Foley up to one shaky knee as Orton slaps him, before spitting in his face.

Randy Orton: You are NOTHING, Mick! Your career has been over for years, and at WrestleMania XX, Batista and “The Legend Killer” make your permanent retirement official! That's right, we accept your challenge, Mick... but how do you ever think you'll survive a Handicap match against the future of the WWE? Unless of course you find a tag team partner in the next 13 days...but no one likes you Mick. No one has any faith in you, everyone knows that you're done. So--

IF YA SMEEEELLLLL!

http://i.imgur.com/0KIFJtc.jpg

Jim Ross: Bah gawd it's The Rock!

Jerry Lawler: What?! Is he-- Is he here?!

The crowd goes ballistic as Batista and Orton's jaws drop! Out flying from the back down the ramp is The Rock, who gets in the ring and lands a series of punches on Batista, and then Orton! He clotheslines the two of them out of the ring and hypes the crowd up with his exaggerated motions as he checks on the fallen Foley! The Rock is Mick Foley's partner at WrestleMania!

RATING: 92 (A)

Notes: Foley sold the injuries well.

OVERALL SHOW RATING: 84 (B+)

Notes: This show increased our popularity in 13 regions.

Eventually, Gunn was able to dropkick A-Train into the corner and dive across the ring to tag Cena!</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> Cena came in like a house of fire, landing blows to the face of the newly tagged Big Show, and he unloaded on his rival. In the midst of his streak, Paul Heyman hit the ring! He was yelled at by Cena, who wanted him away from ringside. Cena turned around into a huge right hand from Show which almost knocked him out cold. The Big Show picked his challenger up for a Showstopper and it was academic from there, a 1, 2, 3 victory for Big Show and A-Train.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>RATING:</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> 78 (B)</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Notes:</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> 10:16.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>____________________________________________</strong></span></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> </span></span></p><p><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> Continuing to assert his power on SmackDown, GM </span></span><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Paul Heyman</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> gets in the ring and orders the </span></span><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"><strong>Big Show</strong></span></span><span style="font-family:'times new roman';"><span style="font-size:12px;"> to continue his beatdown.
