Michael Cole: Hello everybody, I'm Michael Cole right here with my broadcast partner Tazz, we welcome you to WWE SmackDown, and Tazz, WrestleMania shook the foundation of the blue brand forever! Tazz: You got that right, we got four brand new champs, top ta bottom the SmackDown rostuh has been shaken up! Michael Cole: Yes it has, and that's also because of the Draft Lottery which took place this past Monday night on RAW. We've got some new faces here on SmackDown, and I can't wait to see who breaks out! Tazz: We lost some great talent in that draft, Cole, but I think we got some even bettuh guys in return! I can't wait to see guys like Rene Dupree, Mahk Henry, and Bookuh T right here on Thursday nights! RATING: 85 (B+) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ To kick off the show, "Olympic Hero" hits and Kurt Angle enters to the stage with the crowd cheering. Angle waves to the crowd, thanking them for their support as he rolls into the ring and grabs a microphone. <img alt="0eTjKMMs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0eTjKMMs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> "Last night was the greatest match of my entire career. I've never been in a match where both guys pushed me to -- no, past my absolute limit like at WrestleMania XX. And even though I wasn't able to get the WWE title, I'd like to introduce the man who did. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome your new WWE Champion and my great friend, Eddie Guerrero!" The crowd explodes as Eddie Guerrero walks down right through the crowd, title raised high in the air! He celebrates with the audience as he makes his way toward the ring, Angle applauding him the entire time. Eddie gets in the ring and hugs his friend Kurt, before also grabbing a microphone. <img alt="5mCsTSLs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5mCsTSLs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> "Oraaaaleeee mi raaazaaa! You know, usually I'm pretty shy, but here tonight I can proudly say that I am the WWE Champion, holmes! That win...was for everyone who told anyone they couldn't do something, anyone that said 'orale, you can't do anything you put your mind to'! And to that, I say you're wrong, because Eddie Guerrero is living proof that dreams can be accomplished!" The crowd goes crazy for him as Angle continues to clap by his side. <img alt="0eTjKMMs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/0eTjKMMs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> "Congratulations Eddie, I always knew you had it in you. But listen, you know and I know that at WrestleMania, you didn't beat me, and because we're such great friends, don't you think that I deserve the first title shot at Judgment Day? Can't you do that for me, buddy?" Eddie looks at Angle, and as he puts the microphone to his mouth, Paul Heyman comes up on the big screen. Paul Heyman: Wait a minute, Kurt, wait a minute, Eddie. You might be the new WWE Champion, Eddie, but this is not Eddie Guerrero's SmackDown. This is Paul Heyman's SmackDown and that means I make the rules around here. The crowd boos as Heyman smiles. Paul Heyman: Now listen. That WWE Championship that you have over your shoulder is a symbol...of being the best...in the world...and being a man that represents the face...and the ideals...of the SmackDown brand. Now I don't know if "not losing" is enough to be considered among the best in the world, Kurt. You see, I have in mind for Judgment Day a man who proved SmackDown's dominance over RAW at WrestleMania. A man who had a career victory. A man who has destroyed everyone in his path. And a man who never received a rematch for the WWE Championship that he lost at No Way Out. That's why, tonight Kurt, you will be going one-on-one...with Brrrrock. Lesnar! And Kurt, if I were you, I would try very hard to even make it to this match here tonight! The camera goes back to the ring, where Brock Lesnar is standing behind Angle, and he lifts him up for an F-5! He flattens Angle before Eddie can react, and Guerrero tries to hit Brock, who slides out just as quickly as he slid into the ring! The crowd boos as Lesnar motions toward his waist at Eddie, thinking he's going to face him at Judgment Day for the title! RATING: 70 (C+) Notes: 6:12. ____________________________________________ Backstage in Paul Heyman's office, WWE Tag Team Champion Charlie Haas is voicing his displeasure with the fact that his partner Shelton Benjamin was not allowed entry into the arena. Paul Heyman: Charlie, I told you. Shelton Benjamin was drafted to RAW. He is no longer a member of the SmackDown brand and he is no longer a WWE Tag Team Champion. You, sir, have a problem, because next week you are going to defend that tag team gold, whether you have a partner or not, because tonight the APA and the Basham Brothers will take part in a number one contender's match to decide who gets a shot at the WWE Tag Team titles. So you have one week to find a partner, Charlie. Good day, sir. Haas protests, but eventually succumbs to the authority and leaves. RATING: 70 (C+) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ After a commercial break, Chavo Guerrero is standing in the ring with a microphone and his Cruiserweight Championship around his waist. <img alt="ySr8GS6s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/ySr8GS6s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> "What a shock...last Sunday, at WrestleMania, I beat Rey Mysterio for the Cruiserweight title! It was one of the greatest moments of my career, and it was on the Grandest Stage of Them All...and I come in here and I don't even get a televised entrance. I don't even get a breath on commentary. I don't even get a congratulations from anyone in that locker room. And why? That's because of my uncle Eddie. Once again, he steals my spotlight. But you know what, Eddie, I'm gonna be a better champion than you. I'm sick of having my legacy compared up against the legacy of the "great" Eddie Guerrero. So tonight, I'm gonna start up an open challenge. I'm gonna put my Cruiserweight title on the line every week until I beat every...single...cruiserweight in that locker room. Who wants it?" He got into the ring with the champion, who looked like a man possessed. Moore gave it his best shot, but Chavo finished him off with the Gory Bomb. RATING: 52 (D+) Notes: 5:52. Shannon picked up some Performance skills in these dark matches and house shows. ____________________________________________ Backstage, Eddie Guerrero is in his locker room watching Chavo as Rey Mysterio walks in. Don't listen to what Chavo said, you deserve every second of spotlight you get. I lost my belt and that hurts, but the only thing that could ease that pain was for you to win that belt. I'm proud of you, hermano. Eddie and Rey shake hands and hug again, as Eddie thanks him. RATING: 79 (B) Notes: Rey's performance is working a little bit better, he can learn from Eddie. ____________________________________________ "Next Big Thing" blares over the speakers as Brock Lesnar hits the ring for the second time tonight. Lesnar comes down and gets a microphone from ringside. <img alt="MQwofn0s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MQwofn0s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> "At WrestleMania, you all saw what I can do when I'm angry. I kicked Goldberg's sorry ass right out of this company! Tonight, I already destroyed Kurt Angle and when I kick his ass again in a little while, I'm gonna be one step closer to my redemption -- getting that WWE Title back around my waist! I never lost that title--" YOU THINK YOU KNOW ME Out of nowhere, the familiar guitar riff of "Never Gonna Stop" by Rob Zombie hits and the crowd goes crazy for the returning Edge! Smoke shoots up from the stage as the crowd patiently waits, and after a bit of a pause, Edge indeed shows his face! He comes out and runs to either side of the audience, looking to hype them up. He walks down to the ring and slides into it, staring at Lesnar from the ground. Brock moves aside as Edge poses on the turnbuckles, the announcers hyping that he's been gone for over a year due to neck surgery and it's great to see him on SmackDown again! Edge grabs a microphone. http://i.imgur.com/YqUuruUs.jpg "Man, it's great to be back!" The crowd cheers for him as Brock sarcastically rolls his eyes. "Brock, you come out here every week and you talk about how you're the biggest and the best, and how Goldberg made you lose that title. Well if I remember correctly, Goldberg wasn't the one who tapped out like a little bitch at No Way Out! I've been sitting watching SmackDown for months and I've been watching you turn from a vicious monster into a little pansy, and I'm sick and tired of you!" The crowd once again cheers and starts an "Edge!" chant. Brock fires back. <img alt="MQwofn0s.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MQwofn0s.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> "You know what? How about right now I break that little scrawny neck of yours agai--" Without letting him finish his sentence, Edge lands a series of right hands to Brock. Lesnar fires back and the two get into a heated brawl. Edge ends up clotheslining Brock over the top rope, and Brock slams on the apron before heading to the back. Edge fires the crowd up as he got one over on the potential #1 contender! Big Show ended things with a Chokeslam. RATING: 81 (B) Notes: 8:18. Show looked a little winded toward the end, but these two had some pretty good chemistry that picked the match up. ____________________________________________ In the backstage area, Stevie Richards is ready to give an interview about coming to SmackDown. As Josh Matthews asks him about what his plans are, he's interrupted by Dawn Marie, who pushes Matthews away off the screen. Wearing a pretty..revealing...outfit, she has some words for Stevie. http://i.imgur.com/lGzzrWws.jpg "Hey Stevie...I've got something for you to think about...we've been together in the same place before...you know what I can do as a manager...and if you want success here on SmackDown...you should come find me. Because you know just how...extreme...I can get. Dawn smiles at him and slowly walks away, as Richards looks confused. RATING: 62 © Notes: None. ____________________________________________ After a commercial break, Josh Matthews again tries his hand at interviewing, this time with the new United States Champion John Cena. We in a whole new era right now, John Cena is the US CHAMP!" The crowd cheers as Cena continues. "As for Scott Steiner, I'mma just spit a couple of bars real quick. Scott Steiner, you call ya'self "Big Poppa Pump"/Well I got news for you -- ya time on SmackDown's gonna start with a nice big slump. I'm the Franchise, Scott, and you can't see me/Because ya always got them damn sunglasses on, you really ain't bright as can be. John Cena's the US Champ, SmackDown's top o'the class/If you wanna hang, you betta put anotha needle in ya ass! I'm way ahead o'you dog, I ain't ya damn peer/Because John Cena's in the building which means THE CHAMP IS HERE! After another well fought match, the APA picked up the win after a Clothesline From Hell to Danny Basham. RATING: 67 (C+) Notes: 8:13. ____________________________________________ Backstage, Rene Dupree is standing with Josh Matthews, who wants to know what his goals are on the SmackDown brand. http://i.imgur.com/xYQ5dlPs.jpg "On de SmackDown brand, dere is no one with more potential or dat has a brighter future than Rene Dupree. So if dere is any goal dat I want to conquer...it will be...comme il faut...how it should be." RATING: 68 (C+) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ http://i.imgur.com/W5aGUFY.jpg vs. http://i.imgur.com/YmY5eVp.jpg John Cena vs. Scott Steiner The new United States Champion came out to a big pop, but was attacked from behind on his way to the ring by Steiner! After he tossed him into the steel steps, Steiner rolled his adversary in the ring. Throughout the match, Tazz hyped up the mean streak that Steiner has from his past, and that he's a "tough customuh" for John Cena to overcome. The match had multiple twists and turns, and about halfway through, Steiner unhooked the top turnbuckle pad. Cena fought back with the resilience we've seen from him throughout his career, and Steiner was pummeled for a bit with high octane offense. Eventually, Cena ran into the exposed turnbuckle while trying to hit Steiner in the corner, and turned around into the Steiner Flatliner as Big Poppa Pump made a huge impact in his first match on SmackDown! RATING: 77 (B) Notes: 9:17. ____________________________________________ After a commercial break, the announcers send us to a recap video of SmackDown's triumph at WrestleMania, with The Undertaker defeating his brother Kane. RATING: 88 (B+) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ A backstage interview takes place next -- Booker T has some words about his placement on SmackDown. http://i.imgur.com/f5xpIIrs.jpg "There ain't nobody in this locker room who's gonna take me on and beat me, I hope y'all know dat. Bookuh T is gonna whip everyone's ass in that locker room and don't make no mistake, I don't care if it's Eddie Guerrero, Kurt Angle, Brock Lesnar, or anybody on this rostuh, they just keepin' that WWE title warm for me! Now can you dig that....SUCKA!" RATING: 92 (A) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ http://i.imgur.com/0eTjKMM.jpg vs. <img alt="MQwofn0.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/MQwofn0.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Kurt Angle vs. Brock Lesnar This main event match wasn't quite as good as their WMXIX encounter, but the two simply know how to counter each other. This match had high-quality wrestling, but Lesnar was looking to gain any advantage possible. He choked Angle to the count of four many times throughout this one and exposed the turnbuckle like Steiner did earlier. The referee caught him and put the turnbuckle back on, but as he did, Lesnar hit a kicking low blow to Angle. As he picked Angle up for the F-5, Edge ran down through the crowd and hit him with a Spear! Edge had a crazed look in his eyes as Lesnar held his ribs. Angle used his remaining energy to yell at Edge, who seemed not to care about his pleas. Lesnar picked up the victory via disqualification, but is that enough to make him the #1 contender? That match was so good (With Lesnar) and Holly was a WWE loyal servant for many years, so I wouldn't mind seeing him having some sort of short world title reign as a reward, but I won't lose sleep about it. Like where you're going with Chavo there, taking into account that Eddie is getting more attention though they both achieved gold at Mania. Can't wait to see Booker really get into the thick of things, also. I don't know about World title (despite his past) but he's a definite IC/US contender at any time.

His arrogance, however, got the best of him in the end, as Billy Gunn was able to catch him in a small package as he played to the crowd for the three count! Nitro was livid after the match, banging on the ropes and throwing a tantrum as Melina calmed him down. Billy Gunn walked backwards up the ramp, smirking at his adversary and pointing to his head, signaling superior ring intelligence by the veteran. RATING: 52 (D+) Notes: 6:20 ____________________________________________ Backstage, Molly Holly is walking with her Women's Championship, and she's stopped by Lita, who tells her that she's challenging her for the Women's title at Backlash! Molly laughs in her face and tells her she'll never be the top woman in the WWE because Molly's beaten Lita time and time again, and “when you lose, you're simply a loser,” which incensed the challenger. Lita grabbed Molly's hair and the crowd popped for the two divas getting into a fight backstage. They were separated by officials with Lita getting a slight advantage before being pulled apart! We go to commercial. RATING: 45 (D) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ “Line in the Sand” blares over the PA system and Ric Flair and Batista make their way toward the ring in suits. He brawls with Batista and goes for the Crippler Crossface, but Batista rolls through and slides out of the ring! Benoit bears a toothless smile as Evolution retreats with its tail between its legs. He tells him to trade Shelton back to SmackDown because he's gotta defend his WWE Tag Team Titles. Austin takes one look at him and tells him the trade deadline is over and he's officially a RAW guy for good, which means he's no longer a champion. But, just because “ol' Stone Cold is such a great guy,” he's gonna give Shelton a shot at the World Tag Team Championship. Just find a partner, Shelton, and next Sunday you two will take on the champions at Backlash for the titles! She walks down the hallway, destination unknown, passing a variety of superstars including Tajiri when she hears grunting. She picks up her pace and she's not sure who it is, but it turns out to be Kane! Kane grabs her by the arm and is ready to do ungodly things to her when Tajiri runs over and jumps on his back! Kane swings him around into a standing position and goes for a big boot, but Tajiri ducks it and sprays green mist into the eyes of the Big Red Machine! Tajiri grabs Stacy's arm and runs away with her as the angry Kane continues to try to get the green mist out of his eyes! I also added a couple of more companies and workers over from the beta of Anderz's 2004 mod from TEW2010 and Genadi's 2002 mod. I even had to use the 2012 mod a little bit for guys like Dean Ambrose and others who are gonna pop up in the future and weren't in the other mods.
