Scott Steiner makes his way down to the ring in a t-shirt and jeans, ready to do exactly what he said he would do last week. Who wants to step into the ring with the Genetic Freak?” A long pause ensues, with Steiner growing increasingly impatient. “I knew you losers in the back couldn't handle me! There's nobody in the back that's bigger or stronger than me and that's a fact--” Steiner's microphone cuts out as the lights go out. The crowd goes nuts as the funeral bell chimes. The Undertaker's music hits as purple light begins to shine throughout the arena and he makes his entrance. Steiner is seen fidgeting and pacing in the ring, ready for his opponent to head down the aisle. Brooding and methodical, the Undertaker makes his way to the ring and as he gets inside of it, Steiner attacks him! However, this assault is to no avail, as the Phenom shrugs off the blows and fights back! He looks for a boot to the face, but Steiner grabs the ropes and slides out underneath to the back! With a simple throat cutting motion, the Undertaker has accepted Steiner's open challenge for Judgment Day! He stops and asks her what she wants from him. Somewhat offended, Dawn reminds him that she helped him win last week, and that he should be grateful. Dawn wants to make Stevie into a star, and she wants him to be with her. Dupree took it to Booker early, but the former five-time WCW Champion was able to use some tricks to maneuver his way into control. It's a shame that these two talented wrestlers had their match interrupted by the Big Show. He got up on the apron and the referee had to deal with him, which allowed Dupree to catch him off guard with a roll-up. Dupree held the ropes for the surprise victory over Booker T! RATING: 71 (B-) Notes: 9:29. These two had great chemistry. Dupree could definitely learn a thing or two from a program with Booker in the future. ____________________________________________ WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero is backstage with Josh Matthews for an interview. He talks about his match tonight, belt slung over his left shoulder. <img alt="5mCsTSLs.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/5mCsTSLs.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> “Tonight's gonna be an interesting night, holmes, you see Edge and myself have never teamed before, and now we gotta go against Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar? But who knows, man, maybe Kurt and Brock won't be on the same page, we're gonna have to see--” The night got a bit more interesting, as Orlando Jordan steps on screen along with his two henchmen. Let us introduce ourselves. This is the “Hot Shot” Montel Porter. Over here's “Bad Boy” Elijah Burke. And my name is Orlando “The Heir” Jordan. Together the three of us are The Chosen Ones. Keep that belt warm, because it ain't gonna be too long before we get it.” Jordan, Porter, and Burke walk past Guerrero, who still seems a bit confused. RATING: 75 (B-) Notes: Both guys improvised extremely well. ____________________________________________ The theme of Matt Hardy hits as he heads toward the ring ready for action. He grabs a microphone before the match and talks about how he had a rough stretch on RAW, but he's not gonna let the same thing happen on SmackDown because he is the greatest superstar that has ever graced the SmackDown roster. He lists his credentials, from Tag Champion to Cruiserweight Champion to European Champion, he's one of the most prolific title holders this business has ever seen. He is Matt Hardy. And he's gonna kick off a winning streak right here tonight against Billy Kidman! Hardy was caught off guard by a small package from Kidman for the pinfall! Matt throws a tantrum after the match as Kidman and Torrie celebrate! RATING: 53 (C-) Notes: 6:12. ____________________________________________ In the back, the APA are arguing a bit as they walk down the hallway. Nothing too heated, but they're discussing what went wrong last week. They stop outside the door of Paul Heyman and knock on the door. SmackDown's GM opens it and gives a surprising greeting. He tells them that they're just who he wants to see! We got attacked from behind with a chair and we lose our shot at the titles? This is bullcrap, Heyman!” Heyman responds with an ultimatum. He'll give the APA another title shot against Storm and Haas because true, they did not have much of a chance last week. But if Bradshaw and Simmons lose next week, they're done as a team forever! They look at each other, wide-eyed, considering their future as Heyman bids them farewell and we switch back to the ring. RATING: 66 (C+) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ The theme music of Mark Henry hits as he comes out to the ring with Theodore Long ready for action. And it's because of racist southern white men like Hardcore Holly that men like Mark Henry get overlooked. Back at the Royal Rumble, what did Bob do to earn a WWE Title shot? Absolutely nothing. Mark Henry is a world class power lifter and the strongest man in the world. Mark Henry deserves a WWE title shot and will not stop his destruction until he receives one. Thank you.” He drops the mic and we're ready for Henry's match! Henry was getting a little tired. ____________________________________________ Josh Matthews stands backstage with Brock Lesnar and Kurt Angle, who are ready to talk about their match tonight. A well-wrestled match ensued, with Cena getting the better of his elder at certain points throughout. Storm picked up some momentum, but was sent to the floor by a clothesline from Cena. Storm and Haas took their titles and walked to the back, causing a count-out victory for the US Champion. RATING: 72 (B-) Notes: 9:47. ____________________________________________ After the bell rings, Cena stands in the ring beckoning for Storm to come back in and fight. As he raises the US Title in the air, he's attacked from behind by Rene Dupree! Cena goes down hard as Dupree puts the boots to him. He lifts him up and hits a Dupree Driver, flattening the champion. He grabs the United States Championship and holds it high, signaling a challenge for the belt! RATING: 74 (B-) Notes: None. ____________________________________________ In the back, Josh Matthews asks Hardcore Holly his opinion on Theodore Long's words earlier in the night. <img alt="KDs3T1js.jpg" data-src="https://i.imgur.com/KDs3T1js.jpg" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> “Teddy, Mark, listen up. I ain't got much to say, but what I've got to say is pretty simple. Kurt and Brock showed some animosity early on, but eventually worked that out and were able to finish the match without a team breakdown. Eddie and Edge fared a bit better, both drawing off the crowd for their offense until Eddie was grounded and worked over by both members of the other team. Brock attempted to bring a chair into the ring, but the referee disallowed it and placed it outside. After both Brock and Kurt got their licks in on the champion, he was able to fight back and get a hot tag to Edge! Edge attacked Lesnar with reckless abandon and turned the adrenaline meter up in the arena. He seemed primed to win the match by Spearing Brock as Eddie intercepted Angle, but Lesnar rolled out of the ring. As he went to grab him and pull him in, Lesnar shook Edge's skull with the chair the referee tossed earlier! Charles Robinson had no choice but to ring the bell! RATING: 80 (B) Notes: 11:12. ____________________________________________ After the match, Eddie and Angle get into a brawl on the outside as Brock continues his beatdown on Edge. He hit an F-5 to the recent returner and then further sadistic thoughts entered his mind. Brock tosses Edge outside the ring and takes the chair with him. After an F-5 on the floor, Brock knocks the top half off of the steel steps. The crowd grows silent with shock as Brock wraps the chair around the surgically-repaired neck of Edge. He lifts him up, pulls his head back, and slams the bottom of the chair into the steps, creating a sickening thud as he crushes the larynx of his rival! Brock gives a primal roar to end the show as officials run down to the ring to rush Edge to a hospital. I actually just wondered onto this and created an account for two reasons.

1. This is a great read, thoroughly enjoyable.

2. It's too late for me to get into the predictions but I can't believe all of you are picking the triple threat for the match of the night. Am I the only one paying attention to the heat the Orton/Foley feud is getting?

Anyway, RKO, well done, and put me down for the IC match for match of the night.

That's not to say the ME can't be the match of the night, but it's astonishing that nobody took a shot on a match whose segments are dominant.

I have to admit you make a great point. But a match with Shawn Michaels is always the one you want to bet your money, even in TEW. However, I'm glad you registered to make your point. It was a damn good one, and the more readers this dynasty has, the better. It's pretty much awesome.
