KingofOldSchool
Playing sports games over the years, I always had an obsession with having total control. I play Franchise mode in every sports game I play. This game is no different, but better because I can relive seasons past. I've been putting off doing this, I'm all the way up to the 1980-81 offseason. I'll start off by making observations and random factoids from the last 30+ seasons. 1. The Celtics have only won the NBA Title once. 2. The Cavaliers have a little dynasty going, they have won the the last 4 of 5 NBA Championships thanks to Dr. J dominating the league and they've been in 6 straight Finals, losing to the Sonics both times. 3. Speaking of Dr. J, he is a 5 time NBA MVP. However, Dolph Schayes has a so far record 7 MVP awards. Wilt Chamberlin has 6 as well. 4. Jerry West did not have the career he did IRL. Would this mean my NBA history would need a different logo? 5. Kareem is another guy who probably won't live up to the career he did IRL. Good career so far, but it doesn't look like he will be the all time scoring leader. 6. Speaking of which, Earl Monroe over took Wilt to become the new NBA all time scoring leader. 7. In case you're curious, Larry Bird ended up in Washington and Magic went to the Clippers. I won't go too in depth with specific with past seasons, however for the seasons on, I will show the real life vs. game results such as MVP, Playoffs, Draft, etc. If you want to know about any specific player and/or team, don't be hesitant to say something. I know it might be interesting to see what happened with a certain player or team.

BHK1978
I really like the concept of this diary because this is exactly how I play as well, so it is cool to see how your game turned out. Sadly for me for some reason in my game I picked fictional players at the start (Not sure why I did that) so I do not have real players in my "God" league.

With the Mavs being the newest team in the league at this point, I was wondering what they look like roster wise.

KingofOldSchool
BREAKING NEWS FROM CLEVELAND:

All streaks must come to an end and today, the Cleveland Cavaliers found out the hard way as for the first time since the 1973-74 season, they will not be playing for the NBA Championship. After going up 3-0 in their second round match with the Philadelphia 76ers, the Cavs dropped the next 4 games in a shocking turn of events. However, many consider the turn of events is due to the Cavaliers superstar MVP, Julius Erving, suffering an injury late in game 3. He was ruled out for the rest of the series and the Cavaliers went on to lose the series as a result.

There will be no 4-Peat and new NBA Champs will be crowned. The Philadelphia 76ers will now go on to face the New York Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals while Golden State awaits the winner of tonight's game 7 between the Los Angeles Lakers and Denver Nuggets.

Many draft pundits projected Rolando Blackman going #1, but Celtic brass felt a high rated Center would be a better selection as that was the only position in their starting lineup that had less than a green rated player. Lister has a green/blue rating.

the rest of the first 13 picks are as follows...

2. Houston - Rolando Blackman

3. Dallas - Mark Aguirre

4.
