No Rules; No Puns (8 Company Default Database)

Recommended Posts

In case anyone cared; also a good reference for owners. And a nice format later down there in the first post.

GLOBAL RULES:

 • No Fog.
 • Grades.
 • No Perfect Show Theory. REMEMBER THIS ONE HEY DHR REMEMBER IT.
 • Dirt Sheet is shown.
 • No one uses the user characters. They are not in the database as regular people, either.
 • Generated wrestlers start in January 2013.
 • Highest death, injuries, and relationships.
 • Reputation: Greatest (why not; not like I'm changing companies).
 • Every company has five "Aces". An Ace is a wrestler to whom is given Excellent potential, 65 as relevancy age, and either 45 or 55 as decline age; the latter case of decline is for wrestlers 38 or older (1975 or earlier). Furthermore, if an ace is 25 or younger (1988 or later), their maturity age is 30.

Notes:

 • Yes, I am the Modern Japan Movement, even though Oshiro likes to be isolated. /shrug
 • I will not be recording myself; that was such a failed experiment.
 • DON'T HAVE TASK MANAGER OPEN.
 • SERIOUSLY, I WILL KILL YOU IF YOU HAVE IT OPEN. Note: I had it open when I started TEW to look in the database.
 • The "Aces" represent the five people that "should" be the franchise players of the promotion at some point in their career. I'll be choosing them based on the user character, (thus Eisen might like big men and Furusawa might like...I dunno, guys with high puro. And WLW would pick young guys) not trying to godmode people (ignoring the times that I do, of course).
 • Company policies and such will be in their first posts (assuming I remember).
 • Check for white text.

Other notes:

No pictures at the moment, given that I'd need over a hundred or so, and that's going to take awhile. Also doing stuff that's going to take...a longer while. Hyphens?

The Interview:

Complete with fan-requested questions. Oh wait...

Who is your favorite wrestler?

Ibanez: El Patron. Never ask anyone from Mexico over the age of, say, 30, that question and not expect that answer. Champagne Lover is a poor man's El Patron. Sam Strong was a poor American's version of El Patron. El Patron was the superstar, the luchador, and essentially the man to bring professional wrestling beyond 200 people packed into a barnhouse or some sort of idiom people use nowadays.

But since I doubt you meant my favorite wrestler of all time, I will answer the implied question. Obviously I would have to choose Champagne Lover at the moment, as he is bringing lucha libre and Mexico to the forefront of the industry, something that we have no experienced in...a long time. Him making me vast sums of money is also part of that.

Assuming I have to leave behind anyone on my roster, I think...I think that...Soul Taker is my choice. For today, in any case, as I think there is much talent we have yet to contract and to choose the best is almost a coinflip-with many sides-on any given day. Great skill, a chain wrestling flyer in the ilk of lucha libre style, good mask, solid ability on the microphone and a good look. Entrance and gimmick is second-to-none. If he's beaten by our Lover and Axxis Jr, he holds up, at least, to El Demonio-the man, I think, people will expect him to replace when we do contract him. And we shall, hopefully soon.

Richard Eisen: Let me rephrase that: alienate my roster by pointing out some crown jewel so that everyone who disagrees with me walks out, leading to a collapse of the largest company in the world, leading to a monumental power vacuum in the United States-at best, though a worldwide paradigm shift is not out of the question-as everyone scrambles to grab all of my ex-talent on hopefully non-lucrative contracts.

Given that I do want to cooperate, however, it's clearly Christian Faith. My best friend-a known fact-and a wrestler whose only detractors would claim he shouldn't be in the main event at his age. But his skill, and the past...decade, at least? Undoubted top talent anywhere in the world.

Tommy Cornell: With the risk of sounding conceited in mind, it's myself. Objectively I am a rare talent, blessed-if one believes in blessings over hard work, I suppose-with such skill, such incredible skill, that many have claimed I will likely be easily in the top five greatest professional wrestlers of all time, for all time. As for my opinion? I'm not basing this on opinion; I base this on my consistent high scores throughout my career in the year-end rankings. And in matches, that part is a little bit important.

Hanshiro Furusawa: This is a joke, right? HARUKI KUDO. Without him we would not be in nearly this good of a position to drive ignorance to progress out of Japan.

Koji Kojima: I'm not sure, actually. I know that there are many choices, and I know that personal feelings get in the way, and that I'm just stalling or avoiding the question or any other excuse, but...I'm not sure.

Emerald Angel is one of the greatest flying wrestlers of all time, period. I think Sensational Ogiwara might eke out a bit of an edge, but it's so close at that point that I think the flash-which is also spectacular, though not nearly as unique-with which Angel wrestles might give him the title. Regardless, being in the top...five, easily, of all time? That's nearly unfathomable. And then with how young he is...

I have to at least respect a lot of our [Japan's] veterans, Masayuki Shiga of BCG [note: originally GCG, and most recently and notably PGHW] is probably the current representative of that...that type of individual. And no one in the past thirty or forty years in Japan hasn't seen a [Danger] Kumasaka match, so that's always entertaining, at least due to nostalgia.

Yoshi Oshiro: Sam Strong.

Ryu Kajahara: Tadiyuki Kikkawa. I know he's the enemy and that he's a brawler primarily, but he's the ****ing King of Fighters. Yeah [Tasuku] Iesada and [Yasunobu] Masuno are more recent, but **** THAT. IT'S ****ING KIKKAWA.

Louis Figo Manico: You mean aside from me, yes? *laugh* I think Joss Thompson in 21CW is a man I would love to steal; aside from hitting the top rope, he does everything quite well. I respect that ability in someone more than a one-off excellent match. At least recently.

Which company is going to top the rankings by year's end?

Ibanez: I should say us, right? I do think we have a great chance to break the top five important companies in the world; as far as sheer influence, I think we almost certainly will hold the #1 spot among National companies. I do not think we will grow beyond that level just yet, though I would not put it out of the question for one of our Northern competitors.

Eisen: I'm almost sixty years old. How about you actually value my time?

Cornell: It's probably going to be Richard [Eisen, owner of SWF] still, but only just. If I can ignore finances for one bloody second, we would probably be a lot better of a shape than where we are today.

Furusawa: The only real competitor I would care about is Burning Hammer, so for obvious reasons, I hope it is still Supreme [Wrestling Federation].

Kojima: Let me look at this for a second. Touring companies-so Burning Hammer of the Wrestling Gods, for relevance-predictably do quite well during their tours and lose ground off of them. I don't think Burning Hammer can beat the deficit in Importance they have compared to SWF. For that matter, I don't see that changing for anyone in just one year. Perhaps if they lost a number of their National Battles, but I'm getting off the subject of the question.

As far as influence is concerned, Burning Hammer has no chance of reaching International this year; with that being essentially foregone for SWF, that means Burning Hammer is out. Can South of the Border [Professional Wrestling] do it? Not in a year, though I think they will at least have solid television coverage by that time. Similarly, though historically they have avoided this, North of the Border [Professional Wrestling] are unlikely to see enough extra-National gains to challenge SWF's near-guaranteed International status. So in short, SWF.

Oshiro: OLLIE.

Kajahara: Why the hell would I care about that; I'm nearly scraping the bottom of this god-forsaken company war bull**** barrel; I'm looking to survive.

Manico: With their current lead on most of the world, with their style being on trend, I don't see Supreme Wrestling Federation faltering at all this year. Rather, not enough faltering would be realistic for them to fall from the top.

Would you rather win the World Title or motorboat any female wrestler of your choosing?

Ibanez: ...

Eisen: ...

Cornell: ...

Furusawa: ...

Kojima: ...

Oshiro: *moves glasses*

Kajahara: I've already won the world title and I'm retired.

Manico: I've already won the world title and been with women with whom I have wanted to be.

SOTBPW Television

I'll figure out a less...bad format. Don't like the colors.

Masked Lightning vs. The Sea Monsters©

These two teams are part of what I hope will become a solid undercard. The champions, The Sea Monsters, play a good family-friendly heel gimmick. They roar in the ring, flail around a bit, enough to get the kids...frightened, but not scared? No one's going to cry is my point, and that I feel means they have some longevity.

Ultra Spark Jr and Velocidad are both young men with good attitudes and, fortunately, good chemistry working as a team. Whether or not that translates into a good match in the future, they'll have a job with me for a long time. If I need El Demonio to beat someone down, or if El Fuerza goes on a rudo tear, Masked Lightning are a fine choice for the domination. I do hope they'll reach the skill of, say, Hexx and Decimalo, but that's a long-term dream.

As for the match, there was decent work from everyone. Masked Lightning didn't get too much offense, but they evened the falls after a tope suicida/springboard hurricanrana combination that is a favorite spot of theirs. The timing Velocidad has to go under the top rope just after Ultra Spark Jr launches from the top rope is one of the clearest examples of their above-average teamwork.

A Loki Spiral, however, ends Spark's run in the ring, and Jormungand picks up the 2-1 victory for his team, making their second defense.

The Sea Monsters win, defend their titles, rating: 57

El Fuerza vs. Devious Dr Fang, Scarlet Scarab, and Cerebro

What to do with El Fuerza? Critics of his have claimed he's only used because he's popular on the soap opera The Young and the Fearless. It is true that without El Fuerza the character there would be no El Fuerza in SOTBPW. However, he is one of the best entertainers in the company and the best actor in Mexico. Note: Christian Faith and Dawn the Cheerleader clock at a 94; Ryu Kajahara and El Fuerza hit 92. SUCKIT.

I feel his ability to amass huge amounts of fan interest is crucial to our rise over the past five years. Fuerza is the antithesis to Champagne Lover; Lover is all-around talented, while El Fuerza is a huge mass of pain. Granted, he is a tecnico now, so it looks like our rudo trio is in for some hurt, aye?

This was a short match, with a Powerbomb onto the Dr giving our biggest wrestler a quick win.

El Fuerza wins, rating: 41

*Soon after El Fuerza's domination, he meets Axxis Jr at the backstage set for a promo.*

Axxis: I want to congratulate my partner for this evening in his victory. I hope that was a warm-up and not a drain on your strength?

Fuerza: Ah, yes, you always did like playing with words. What else should I have expected? Yes, that was nothing, just a chance at best to flex my muscles. But El Demonio, Ultimate Phoenix, both of you are going to get powerbombed hard and pinned before you can blink.

Axxis: But first, I ought to respect that some people will be viewing us for the first time. For them, one of our opponents is obvious. El Demonio...is what his name implies. He is evil incarnate, a force without question destructive. Leader of La Alianza Del Terror, he has for years strived to pervert and ruin this company. Yes, yes, we might have pushed him back, but every tecnico knows that El Demonio is merely waiting, watching, whispering lies in the ears of the valiant to try to turn us against each other.

Fuerza: The way I see it, though, El Demonio knows that his little words can't reach all the way up into the clouds. I am the big man in this company, and if he tries to pull anything funny, he's going to get knocked out.

Axxis: Quite true, El Fuerza, but it is for that reason that I am more troubled by his partner tonight. Ultimate Phoenix...

*A pause here; clearly something bothers Axxis Jr about this particular bad guy.*

Axxis: Ultimate Phoenix looks like a good man. The white, the blue, the phoenix. Ultimate Phoenix. It is the name of a man who endures, who continues to persevere, who might fall once but rises ever higher after defeat. It is a name that hearkens to the greatest legacy in lucha libre. I'd assume that Phoenix X would be "greater" than the [grand]sons of some of the old-school greats like El Fantasma.

Axxis: It is a name that should, should, bring the crowd to their feet. But so many years ago that man turned his back on the crowd, on the fans, on all of us.

Fuerza: He ignored the fact that one man can't win everything, something I know quite well.

Axxis: My friend, as a two-time Campeon de Mundo, I do understand what you say. It is difficult to capture that belt, and it is far more difficult to do so when one acts without the support of his friends.

Fuerza: I tried to fight solo. I tried to beat everyone in my path. And it worked. It worked well. It worked fantastically. But I ran into the very top, the very best in the industry. And they knocked me back down.

Axxis: And a hard fall it is, my friend.

Fuerza: Especially when you're this big, kid.

Axxis: Ha, yes...Ultimate Phoenix, who he is today, is a man who has forgotten that lesson. Care only of yourself, and you will fall. Choose to wrestle only for personal glory, and you shall fail. Phoenix, I will beat you tonight, and every night, until Azul brand never has to have its name sullied by your evil.

Fuerza improvised well, Axxis had good improvisation, 82

Electrico vs. Blood Raven vs. Angel Of Mercy

I found that Electrico cannot carry rookies to good matches, not yet at least. I am unsure as to whether that is more the fault of the veteran or Angel of Mercy, however.

This match was supposed to launch Angel of Mercy into the midcard even in defeat. It was to showcase Electrico's excellence, to cement him as a main event threat. And Blood Raven...perhaps he can bolster La Alianza?

Instead, I have it confirmed that Angel should not have won "Luchador!" nor participated. He has much to learn, and he was clearly off from his usual...decency. Electrico did not have the flash tonight to make up for that, and the result is that his victory over Angel was rather lackluster.

Electrico wins, rating: 59

*El Demonio finds El Fuerza backstage. Before a true brawl can erupt, six other wrestlers break up what likely would have caused much financial damage in a few seconds.*

86

Off the top of my head, Phoenix and Axxis were there, along with...Electrico, Heroe, Campeon Jr, and...someone?

El Demonio/Ultimate Phoenix vs. El Fuerza/Axxis Jr

El Demonio is played as a calculating evil overlord, a fact hiding, hopefully, that his prime has ended since 2010 at least. Ultimate Phoenix must make up for his shortcomings, and as one of the show stealers in the company, I would not find that difficult.

Axxis Jr, meanwhile, is arguably the best luchador on the roster (though I and many others rank Lover number one, Axxis Jr is phenomenal). El Fuerza brings popularity. This should be good.

Lover won the 2012 WOTY award, but Cornell is top of the 500?

True, this match was not excellent. It did not close the show for that reason. As a stable pre-main event, however, I think we built both teams as formidable, with El Fuerza edging slightly ahead by overpowering the opposing team one-by-one. It is thus that two Powerbombs end a clean sweep, with El Demonio giving up the last pin.

El Fuerza/Ultimate Phoenix win, rating: 71

Xtinction vs. Pirata Malvado

Two main event talents close the show. Simple, yes?

Xtinction has been a huge success, being a capable member of the main event team since he donned that gimmick. La Pirata, meanwhile, has steadily improved as a wrestler, and this match shows that he can hold his side of a match.

Choosing to keep things even, the action picks up with the falls tied 1-1. As Pirata Malvado pauses a bit too long for a dropkick from the turnbuckle, Xtinction is able to avoid the attack and hit the Xtinctor, getting himself a hard-fought win. Had Pirata been a bit more fluid through the match, this would have been a very good win.

Xtinction wins, rating: 71

*Check out brand Rojo for this promo between Champagne Lover and Mayan Idol!*

lolCopout #watchMeForgetThisSegment

Champagne Lover was good while Mayan Idol was very bad. Lover looked great while Idol had a poor presence. Rating: 8383

Result: 74; loss of popularity (.1%) across three regions [of Mexico]

I find the Azul brand very difficult to play with unless you suffle the roster a bit. El Fuerza doesn't have the skill to be a main eventer in the ring, El Demonio isn't talented enough to get great matches and while Axxis and ultimate Phoenix can get the job done having them face each other one on one for the grade seems like cheating. Stealing some main eventers and some future stars from the other companies seems like the best way to go as you shuffle guys like Angel and Dr. Fang from the midcard to developmental or jobberdom against Soul Taker and Nicolas Lopez

Give me two weeks and I won't be lacking for talent at all. Now popularity? Eh, y'know, that's always a thing, but I guess PPV's going to fix that, right?

Point is, SOTBPW is going to raid the hell out of Mexico. Taker's mine, Lopez is mine, Flores...is he already mine? He's mine...

As to Fuerza: I've been mulling over a segment on him in-character (probably will write it some day), but he's pretty much Marat Khoklov or Dan DaLay or...*insert untalented hoss*, except with ridiculous entertainment. Acting, notably, but who cares about that?

Point is, he is going to be hella useful in getting certain guys SOUL ****ING TAKER over.

...

I just created a year-long at least storyline for Azul just this second. Er, just before typing the previous ellipsis. Now to actually orchestrate it...

Hint: read the white text. No, not you guys, you, DHR. You better remember this. EVERYONE INVOLVED IS IN THIS POST (including the quoted section).

Oh, let's see. Aftermath of the event for Southies, SWF/TCW advertisements...I think I have, say, four posts before the next show. Or...10.

That was a lackluster beginning to the year. In all accounts we failed to achieve the goals I had set. However, there is some good news from that show:

-El Fuerza can be used in the ring.

-Additional stars clearly ought to go to Azul, which makes integrating them into the roster much easier.

-Though I would much rather instill fear into our competitors, it is possible we will instead be overlooked or underestimated. That could be good.

Overall, while the show was a negative, it was not horrendously bad. We continue onward.
