MVP has arrived at the venue, trailed by his usual group of pimps, ho’s, and nightlife scene people. They are all loudly carrying on as usual, living for the party, but the gold-chain-wearing Phunk is all business as he makes his way through the backstage hallways, closing the door to his locker room and leaving them outside as he gets dressed for his match later on tonight.

Mitch Naess: “Tonight, MVP hopes he can end his feud with Greg Black once and for all. They have spilled blood all over the Tri-State area these past months; enough is enough! Tonight may be the end of the line!”

Missy Masterson: “Does Teddy Powell know that?”

Mitch Naess: "Do you think the Cyberpunk even cares?"

Quality wrestling gives way to a fist fight between these two recent staples of the PSW midcard. In the midst of it, Morgan walks right into one of Ash’s overhand bombs and finds himself whipped into the ropes. Spike Spinebuster! Morgan is flat on his back and Ash arrogantly hooks his leg for the 1-2-3.

Mitch Naess: “Ash Campbell scores an impressive victory here. He’s starting to make good on that enormous potential. ”

Missy Masterson: “No need to write home about it though, if you’re Ash. All of Dad’s energy is going toward keeping some tiny west coast fed afloat. It’s his mid-life crisis; his vanity project. “

I used to think that the stiffs in the front office were just watching the calendar, waiting for me to pack up and go home for good. No real gimmick, plain-ish gear, just a good hand that could wrestle a solid match for you. And now, here I am, on the verge of actually giving them their wish and hanging up the boots for good, and someone goes and says I should stick around a while longer and help get the next generation ready. You know what? I’m actually giving it some thought. Maybe someone could use the knowledge I’ve built up along the way? Maybe not, too, but I’m thinking about it. I’m sure the ‘ol lady don’t much care if I come home or not. I might have to take a look around the locker room. See who’s hungry.

Steven Parker vs. Masked Cougar vs. Matthew Keith

Mitch Naess: “Parker’s win-loss record since returning from the torn quad has been amazing. It’s like the time he spent rehabbing helped him get the focus back that made him one of the most exciting prospects in the country.”

The ringside fans stand for the duration - the action is hyper speed out of control with Keith being the only one who seems at all interested in trying to stem the pace. He traps the small-yet-mighty Cougar in a nasty looking surfboard that wrenches the masked flyer terribly. Moments later “The Future” (Parker) reverses one of Cougar’s many rana attempts into a clamp-down small package in the heat of battle to score the shocking flash win.

YOUR WINNER: STEVEN PARKER (14:49)

Suddenly there is a FLASH and the ring fills with SMOKE. It gets very hard to see. A fist flying. A black boot spinning. When the smoke clears, the young MATTHEW KEITH, the densely muscled STEVEN PARKER, and MASKED COUGAR are all down, knocked out by whatever was just in the ring.

Mitch Naess: “Did you see anything? Did anybody?”

Missy Masterson: “What just happened?”

Beg your pardon, Mr. Madman, but I’m trying to finish a very important journal article on the physics of the….

Boone doesn’t even look up, continuing to maniacally yell and carry on as a small crowd begins to form nearby.

LARRY WOOD

Yes, well, I’m not quite sure if you can hear me or not, Mr. Madman, but……this article was written by Melvin Hickey who is a renowned….

The yelling continues. Wood’s eyes slowly narrow and his voice booms.

LARRY WOOD

BOONE! IF YOU DON’T SHUT UP, I’LL GODDAMNED KILL YOU!

Just as he says it, stepping out from behind the streetlight’s casting….

A WHITE COAT WEARING ARM reaches from behind Larry Wood with a dripping syringe, plunging it into his shoulder and wiping off the excess. Larry is suddenly as quiet and polite as we was at the beginning of the exchange.

LARRY WOOD

Oh…well then, by all means….carry on. My assistant just bought you ten minutes with that injection. Use it wisely. Unfortunately, I won’t be as polite when next we meet.

Peak and Boone just blink at Wood for a few seconds before launching into each other.

Larry Wood vs. Madman Boone vs. Doug Peak

PSW WORLD TITLE MATCH

Mitch Naess: “The Hardcore Ref Ryan Holland is almost in position; this one started before we planned, but both Doug Peak and the Madman look just as at home in the parking lot as they do in a wrestling ring.”

Boone and Peak trade wild overhand rights and lefts as they jockey for position in the outdoor concrete jungle behind the building. Peak did in fact bring a pizza cutter and uses it as soon as he can, swinging it like the maniac he is and catching Madman repeatedly. But as he leads the bloodied PSW Champion toward the building, Larry Wood, the wild, narrow-eyed, Larry Wood, crashes the party, screaming AWAKE!!!! and leaping from out a second-story office window - high above arena’s concourse level, crashing through the glass and wiping out both Boone and Peak with a death-defying dive. PSW!PSW!PSW!PSW!PSW!PSW!PSW!PSW! When they finally make it to the ring, all three men begin pulling various weapons from seemingly everywhere. Larry Wood comes charging at Peak and explodes a light-tube on his head, the glass glittering like snow. Boone finds his trademark rattan cane and alternately pummels both men with it, drawing new blood on each with relentless shot after relentless shot. It is insane. The fans are into it. Wood comes to his feet first. But…..CANESHOT! The cover only nets a two count and sets Boone in motion toward the kill. With Larry Wood tumbling to floor, Boone positions himself over Doug Peak after dragging a ladder into the fray, laying it on top of the fallen psycho. CANESHOT! CANESHOT! CANESHOT! CANESHOT! CANESHOT! CANESHOT! CANESHOT! CANESHOT! CANESHOT! CANESHOT! CANESHOT! CANESHOT! Peak is a heap of unmoving blood and sweat when Boone pulls the ladder off of him and goes for the cover. 1-2-3 could’ve been 98-99-100.

Mitch Naess: “My god, that was brutal.”

Missy Masterson: “That’s our World Champion.”

Seven months. That’s how long it been since I lost the PSW Title. And I’ve been here in PSW for twice that, over a year, raising the profile of the whole freaking company just by being on the roster. But I haven’t even gotten a sniff of the belt since. Not a single one….and it’s something I deserve…

The sold out building is growing in its response to Black. They’ve been warming up to him over the last couple of months or so.

GREG BLACK

…. but I’m stuck fighting this fight against MVP. Over and over and over again. Just like being trapped in the ridiculousness that was the SWF; it’s like this bullshit follows me or something. Tonight it ends. Tonight I put you behind me, MVP. One way or another.

MAIN EVENT

Greg Black vs. MVP

Mitch Naess: “We have been treated to some great matches between these two over the past several months, but their feud has bled over from healthy competition to something much more personal.”

His loud hip-hop entrance music thumps throughout the arena. And through the fog, MVP walks out onto the stage. Both men’s determined aggressiveness shows throughout the match, which exceeds the hype. Black takes more risks than the mat-minded MVP does and he eventually scores with a picture perfect dropkick from the top turnbuckle, giving him his first opportunity to look for the Blackout (springboard fameasser). But MVP turns the tables on Black, grabbing his leg. Twisting Double Dragon Screw!

Missy Masterson: “Phunk has probably reversed out of that move more than anyone else; he’s just seen it so many times.”

A ladder from the previous match, lying half broken from twenty plus cane-shots on the concrete floor, catches MVP’s eye. He forgoes a chance at the Sharpshooter and jumps from the apron to snatch it, but Black surprisingly comes flying through the ropes, knocking Phunk backward into the steel barricade and leaving them both down. After giving them a quick look, the referee calls for the ringside physician who only takes a few seconds before recommending the match be stopped.

Mitch Naess: “That collision was like a car wreck! Both men are going to spend the night in the ER!”

Missy Masterson: “But they’re no closer to ending this thing between them, are they?”

Seriously, really enjoyed what you did here. My guess is, with the PWI videos image, that this is supposed to be a produced video of sorts (possibly for people to buy)? That would lend itself to backstage segments (as most of the action in a small company would probably be in the ring). That or an online stream of sorts (which is what I did with PSW in which to justify the backstage segments).

Larry Wood is my favorite character BY far. The fact that he's being medicated in which to be cordial and a normal human being is a very intriguing character approach. It's unique. It does bring a darker notion to the show; however, it's PSW... dark is where they stand. <img alt="" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />

The stoppage finish was done very well. Normally, in a hardcore company, you would think the referee would just 'wait it out' until at least one of them was ready to go. That said, what happened here, it made the reader/viewer/fan feel that something bad REALLY happened. Now, going into the next show, we are all left to wonder... "What will it take for either man to beat the other THIS time around?". It builds suspense while cementing a feud VERY quickly; very early on. You've got so many ways you could go with that.

All in all, good stuff here. I'll be stopping in to see where it goes from here.

EV, the PWI Presents logo was just there so I'd have something to change to denote when I get PPV or TV. Great Show!

I figured I'd ask here before bagging the whole project. Does anybody have any idea why a show would post with the formatting all messed up when it's perfect in the raw reply-to-thread post?

It looks fine, I preview it, things are all out of order, yet when I go to fix the "problems" everything is where it should be. I've already written six or seven shows, so ending after the first one would be a shame, but there's no explanation for what's happening and I'm very, very frustrated.

Teddy Powell vs. Antix</div>

Antix comes out like a house on fire, setting the tone and a torrid pace with a flurry of kicks and clotheslines before dropping the National Champion with an over-the-knee backbreaker and going to work on him on the mat. But Powell is his new-age lifestyle, and he is resilient, taking advantage of Antix’s rhyming, hip-hop influenced, interaction with a noisy ringside fan holding a RAP SUCKS! sign to catch him from behind with a lung blower. It is the beginning of the end for the streetwise hustler, who can’t pull it together enough to avoid Powell’s “Anarchist’s Cookbook” (split-legged moonsault).

Mitch Naess: “Let’s give credit where it’s due, Antix looked pretty good out there. I thought he could’ve won the National Title on several different occasions.”

The chain wrestling sequences between all three teams dominate the match’s early going, and the non-stop back and forth action brings the audience to their feet on several occasions. The lucha libre flavor of Pablo’s attack is a particular favorite, and everyone pops when the dark priest flattens Masked Cougar with his wrist-clutch exploder suplex. Hell Monkey----Watch Out! Sweep kick-into a standing backflip moonsault-running modified jump swinging DDT. On the ropes-on the buckles-leaping rana! But it’s Parker’s devil-may-care high flying attack that steals the lion’s share of the thunder. With the Keith’s working over Rodriguez on the floor, Parker breaks out a springboard four-fifty, landing on Hell Monkey after Cougar sets him down with a spinning over the knee gordbuster.

Eric Tyler: “You make your living running your mouth, Mitch. Imagine doing something like THAT four nights a week?”

But Matt Keith takes advantage of the situation, casting Cougar out of the ring and grabbing the still rolling around from the impact Parker. Proton Lock!!

Once again there is a loud BANG! and the ring fills with smoke. The KEITH’S clear out. You can hear the boards creaking and you can hear the sound of people hitting them, but that is it. With his trademark rattan cane swinging in every direction, Boone has brawled all over the east coast and fulfilled his promise to bleed in over fifteen states by the new year. He captured the PSW World Title in August of 2012 in record time, laying out then super-heel Greg Black with a single CANESHOT! at PSW Absolute Power II, and has held it ever since, growing meaner and more unpredictable as his reign goes on.

LARRY WOOD is backstage chained to a handcart, sleeping and breathing slow long breaths. But as the seconds pass, his breathing grows more distressed and comes in starts and huffs. As the camera pulls away, Wood begins straining at the restraints, his eyes open wide, his teeth grinding.

Eric Tyler: “You’d have memory problems, too, if you did all the drugs that we all did back in the day. I’m not condoning it, or telling our younger viewers how to live their lives, I’m just saying…..Good times, man. Good times.”

The fans bring the weapons and they don’t disappoint. The fevered fistfight turns violent almost instantly when Larry Wood tosses Henry Lee through a dual-layered plywood beer-pong table braced against the barricade by a rotund fan in a black Punisher tee. Who’s Hardcore? Boone gets put through a picture frame before getting a hold of his rattan cane. But he can’t get one off on anyone, getting dropped with a toe hold face-first onto a lawnchair wrapped in barbed wire by a frantic Larry Wood. There is blood everywhere and the feeding frenzy begins among the hardcore sharks. With Boone down, Lee and Wood battle on the apron over a set up table until Wood reverses a crimson masked Lee’s backdrop attempt into a piledriver off of the apron through the table to the floor. But when Wood can finally get to his own feet and return to the ring…CANESHOT! Right between the eyes! He never saw it coming! Boone’s on top of him! 1--2--3!

Mitch Naess: “And Boone just keeps piling up the bodies.”

I’m working in Puerto Rico tonight, as a favor to a friend, but don’t think for a second that my mind isn’t on Pittsburgh….or on you MVP. Surprisingly, MVP comes flying into the shot, drilling BLACK with a steel chair before starting to lay the boots to him, not slowing until he is motionless. Several of the wrestlers that were backstage intervene, pulling him off of Black before he can really get going. There is a lot of yelling in Spanish as the show rolls credits and ends a few seconds early.
