Sorry for the massive delay between instalments I've had a lot of stuff going on in my personal life including university but I should have more time to do this again. Of course if you guys are still intersted? If you would like I could make a writeup of what happened to far in January in case you've forgotten or I can save it to before Souled Out. Anyway thanks for reading.

Chris Adams & Earl Robert Eaton vs. The Striker Brothers

Tenay welcomes us to Saturday Night as we have just over a week to go to Souled Out. Two of the newest additions to the WCW roster are in the ring as the Striker Brothers are in action. Both men show the high energy of youth as the outpace the veterans. Eventually Chris hits a superkick which is followed by Damon hitting the missile dropkick for the three count on Chris Adams. A quick match which serves to show what the Strikers can do.

Winner: The Striker Brothers at 6:57 by pinfall (Damon Striker over Chris Adams)

Grade: D-

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Psychosis.jpg vs. http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Rey_Mysterio.jpg

Psychosis vs. Rey Misterio Jnr.

Two luchadores who are no stranger to each other squared off next. Tenay points out these two have clashed for years across the entire world. A pure lucha showcase both men get to highlight their respective skills. However, Misterio is suprerior today showing why he is the #1 contender to the Cruiserweight Title. He eventually pulls out the win with a Springboard Hurracanrana.

Winner: Rey Misterio Jnr. at 10:47 by pinfall

Grade: D+

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Raven.jpg

Cut backstage to Raven. He is talking about Benoit and promises that he will be victorious at Souled Out and the Flock will take flight again after feasting on the carcass of a Canadian Wolverine.

Grade: C-

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Jushin_Liger.jpg vs. http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Steven_Regal.jpg

Jushin Liger vs. Steven Regal

What Tenay calls a dream international matchup, as the best of Japan and England squared off. The two put on the technical masterpiece that one would expect from two athletes of the highest calibre. After amazing back and forth shifts in momentum Regal managed to trip Liger and apply his dreaded modified STF, the Regal Stretch. With no chance of escape Liger had no choice but to submit.

Winner: Steven Regal by submission at 10:34

Grade: C-

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Ernest_Miller.jpg vs. http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Konnan.jpg

Ernest Miller vs. Konnan

Konnan showed exactly why there isn't a weak member of the nWo in this match. He was dominant throughout the contest. Using a lot of dirty techniques mixed with straight up brawling, he eventually won when he put on his feared Ziplock submission. Miller had to submit, the Cat couldn't find his way out this trap.

Winner: Konnan by submission at 8:29

Grade: D+

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Chris_Jericho.jpg

We return from commercial to the backstage interview area and "Lionheart" Chris Jericho. He talks about his quest to become the first cruiserweight to successfully adapt to heavyweight competition. He once again restates his aim to become the first man ever to win every title currently available in WCW. He says that when he beats Morrus tonight he will be one step closer to the TV title and the real beginning of his path to glory.

Chris Jericho vs. Hugh Morrus

Jericho showed he wasn't all talk in this match as he went all out with Morrus. Jericho is clearly overpowered by the Laughing Man. However, Jericho wasn't going to let that stop him. Using his speed he quickly outpaced Morrus and constantly assaulted him. Jericho eventually picked up the win with a Lion Tamer in the centre of the ring.

Winner: Chris Jericho by submission at 9:57

Grade: C

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Davey_Boy_Smith.jpg

We cut backstage to the British Bulldog himself. The number 1 contender to the US title is discussing his opponent. He says now that he's got a title shot, no one not even the nWo can stop him. He says even though he isn't from the US, he will be bloody proud to represent his transatlantic neighbours. Typical babyface stuff.

#1 Contendership to the WCW World Tag Team Championship

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Meng.jpg & http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/The_Barbarian.jpg w/ http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Kevin_Sullivan.jpg vs. http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Ray_Traylor.jpg & http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Rick_Martel.jpg

The Faces of Fear w/ Kevin Sullivan vs. The Winning Combination

Arguably one of the most anticipated matches this week on Saturday Night as the entire commentary desk put over both teams as major threats to Harlem Heat's title reign. The champions have attacked both teams in recent weeks which commentary puts down to their unique brand of "social justice" with Harlem Heat feeling their opponents are given advantages because of their upbringing or connections. Meanwhile in the ring, both teams battle it out as the match begins with a big four man brawl until Faces of Fear leave the ring and consort with Sullivan on the outside. In the ring the Winning Combination celebrate and eventually the official restores order. Martel starts with the Barbarian and easily outmanoeuvres the mountainous man. The Winning Combination may have locked in a place at Souled Out. However, Martel's momentum is cut short after The Barbarian catches a Crossbody into a brutal Fallaway Slam. Barbarian gets the tag to the monstrous Meng who brutalizes Martel as Traylor looks on in horror. Faces of Fear show their experience advantage by isolating a wounded Martel and preventing any attempt at a tag. The two use quick tags including a modified Demolition Decapation with a stomp to the face by Meng in place of the usual elbow drop. The two continued to assault Martel before Martel escaped a Tongan Death Grip by Meng and sent Meng into Barbarian. He tagged Traylor and the big man cleared house. He whipped Meng off the ropes and hit a brutal sidewalk slam. 1 ...

2 ...

A boot clobbers Traylor in the head. The camera pans up to reveal its owner, it's Booker T!

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Booker_T.jpghttp://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Stevie_Ray.jpg

Stevie Ray has a chair in hand and swings it at Meng and Traylor. The referee calls for the bell and is quickly ran out of the ring by Harlem Heat. They continue their assault on all four men using weapons to beat down their two potential challengers. Even Kevin Sullivan gets his skull crushed with a brutal shot from Stevie. The crowd isn't happy as they feel the Winning Combination were about to become number one contenders. After concluding their assault leaving four men broken in the ring, Harlem Heat pose in the ring as commentary lambasts them.

Result: Double Disqualification at 11:16

Grade: C

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Tony_Schiavone.jpg

However, as this happens Schiavone is clearly talking to someone in his earpiece. He is quickly handed a microphone and address Harlem Heat as they make their way to the locker room. "Harlem Heat, the powers that be in WCW are very disappointed in your actions. As a result of your assault, there is no number one contender for Souled Out. However, the powers that be have come up with a solution. At Souled Out, you will defend your WCW World Tag Team Championships against .... The Faces of Fear AND The Winning Combination in a single fall three way dance." Harlem Heat having stopped on the ramp to hear Schiavone's announcement and react angrily with Booker T being heard to call it an "injustice". Both teams in the ring are now slowly recovering and look pleased at the prospect of a title match.

Grade: C-

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Kevin_Nash.jpg

We come back from commercial to Kevin Nash making his way to the ring. He has a mic in hand and has decided to give a promo before his match with Lex Luger. Nash talks about the Giant. "Just because that Giant tub of lard won at Starrcade don't mean he's better than Big Daddy Cool. I just got off the phone from the WCW authorities and I'm getting you people what you want. And that is Giant vs. Nash II: This Time its Personal. Come Souled Out, in the nWo's yard, I'll prove once and for all who the greatest big man is when I kick your gigantic ass." Commentary are hyping up this clash of the titans.

Grade: B+

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Kevin_Nash.jpg vs. http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Lex_Luger.jpg

Kevin Nash vs. Lex Luger

Nash was looking to send his Souled Out opponent a message tonight by defeating Luger. The nWo member and Luger had an exciting back and forth match. The two men are clearly very similar with only Nash's size and Luger's power seperating the two. Nash eventually gained the upperhand following Luger's attempt of a Running Forearm Smash was countered by a Big Boot which drove Luger's steel reinforced forearm into his own head. Nash continued the assault for a while hitting his various signature spots. Luger had clearly been knocked a bit loopy by the big boot, but attempted to comeback only to be halted by a huge Sidewalk Slam. One Jackknife Power Bomb later it was all over. Nash sent a huge message to a huge man tonight.

Winner: Kevin Nash by pinfall at 12:04

Grade: C+

NEWS

 • Dutch Mantell and WCW management as a whole are extremely impressed by Bret Hart's performances so far. This month so far he has had the two best matches. WCW view him as a breath of fresh air to shake up the main event.
 • Also from WCW, rumours are circulating about a new format for World War 3 which is "guaranteed to make new stars" Talk is currently the three ring 60 man battle royal will be reduced in size to at most 30 in two rings.
 • Even more news from WCW, as the card for Superbrawl VIII has apparently finalised and rough plans for the World Title run to Starrcade. WCW Management believe that Superbrawl VIII could potentially provide serious competition to Mania for once.
 • Meanwhile in WWF reports are circulating of people generally being unhappy and at least one star considering walking out, with the rumoured Royal Rumble results and plans for Mania likely to be the cause.

Well that sucked. A drop in rating compared to D-X: In Your House. Also Tiger Ali Singh has had a match at the last 2 WWF PPV's now, he was really bad.

Anyway thanks for reading as always. Any feedback is always appreciated. :D

The raw psychotic presence of Saturn was clear throughout this match. Liger was eager to bounce back from his loss to Steven Regal last week. The two squared off with Saturn gaining the early advantage. Saturn was brutalizing Liger, preventing him from building up the speed he needed to control this match. Saturn was very aggressive repeatedly clawing at Liger's mask and repeatedly targeting his head and neck. After hitting a Fisherman Neckbreaker, Saturn climbed to the top and hit and Elbowdrop. He got back up, booted Liger in the face and climbed the ropes again hitting a second elbow and getting the three. Following the match Saturn ran the referee out of the ring and was definitely giving off a more deranged vibe than usual as he was screaming about "the end" being nigh. Regal eventually gained the upperhand hitting a brutal Double Underhook Suplex and then locking in a Crossface Chickenwing, however Benoit breaks out and instead locks in his own Crippler Crossface. Regal looks like he is about to tap but instead rolls Benoit and himself flattening poor Charles Robinson and leaving the match with no ref. Benoit releases the hold to check on the referee and doesn't see the hooded figure slide in the ring behind him. The man dives at Benoit, repeatedly clubbing the TV champion's head. Scott has been claiming to be the better member of the Steiners and he may be right. Steiner started the match with all out offence actually overpowering the Luger. Steiner looks like an unleashed animal as he hits countless suplex variations on the Total Package. Luger attempted several times to mount an offensive against Steiner, but The Genetic Freak was having nothing of it. A quick flurry of Suplexes lead up to a Steiner Screwdriver and then a vicious submission liftinng his opponent up solely by his leg which is wrapped around his neck which he terms the Scott Lock. Luger is nowhere near the ropes and has to tap. Scott has sent a clear message today, he's the next big thing in WCW.

Winner: Scott Steiner by submission at 11:41

Grade: C

While Steiner is posing over his vanquished opponent, someone rushes down the ring and attacks him from behind. These two pulled no punches having a straight up brawl. The Giant could easily manhandle the smaller Hall, however Hall has a massive experience advantage taking each and every opportunity he could. However, the Giant eventually became the dominant man in the match and hit Hall with his dreaded Chokeslam. Giant was going for a pin when he noticed the gigantic frame of Kevin Nash at ringside.

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Kevin_Nash.jpg

Big Sexy was obviously out here to check on his buddy's match. Giant is shouting at Nash climbing on the ropes in anger to tower over him at ringside. Hall however takes advantage and hit the Giant in the back of the knee from behind. The big guy is already up and the Bad Guy goes for it. The Outsider's Edge! He managed to pull the Giant down from the second rope, cover and a three as the nWo once again picks up a tainted win. Hall showing he will be no pushover to Sting. However Booker T is no pushover, holding the record for most tag title reigns. There was no Stevie Ray to tag tonight, as Booker T had to fight alone. The two men squared off and quickly began exchanging holds back and forth, Hart gaining the early upper hand hitting plenty of his signature spots until Booker dodged the Middle Rope Axehandle. Now it was Booker's time to shine, shockingly taking control for a stretch of the match. The relative rookie was targeting Bret's head clearly looking to soften him up for Harlem Hangover. This continued for quite a spell to Bret dodged and attempted Missile Dropkick. Bret went for a rollup and the two swapped pinfall attempts back and forth. The momentum continued to swing back and forth with neither man taking a complete advantage. The finish came as Booker T countered an attempted Fisherman Suplex, and attempted an axe kick. However Hart dodged the move, quickly grabbing Booker's legs. Sharpshooter! He had locked in, right in the centre of the ring. Booker had no choice but to tap. Hart celebrates a hard fought victory. Commentary compliment Bret for having the ingenuity to lock in his submission and suggest this Sunday it may be the first of Flair or Hart to lock in their submission to pick up the win. Schiavone says this match could well be the match of the month, and all three members of the desk acknowledge Booker T put in a hell of a fight.

Winner: Bret Hart by submission at 18:18

Grade: B+

Quick Results

Perry Saturn d.
Souled Out 1998 Predictions

WCW World Heavyweight Championship

Scott Hall vs. Sting [c]

Comment: While I would love to see Hall get a run with the world title at some point, I don't want to see Sting drop it a mere month after a year long build for him to win the title.

Bret Hart vs. Ric Flair

Comment: While Flair should still have plenty of miles left on his tires, Bret has just gotten to WCW and the possibilities are endless. He should win.

Diamond Dallas Page vs. Randy Savage

Comment: It would make better sense for Savage to win and keep him a main event player. DDP to me, is better suited as an upper mid-carder.

Kevin Nash vs. The Giant

Comment: Nash picks up this victory.

WCW United States Heavyweight Championship

Curt Hennig [c] vs. Davey Boy Smith

Comment: It's awesome seeing you push Bulldog. I just don't think he's ready for a main title like that yet....And I hope Hennig moves to challenge and win the World Title at some point in your game.

Rick Steiner vs. Scott Steiner

Comment: Scott has more of a shot at being one of your main guys for years.

WCW World Tag Team Championship

Faces of Fear vs. Harlem Heat [c] vs. The Winning Combination

Comment: Off the wall prediction here, but a couple different reasons why....1. Faces of Fear with the titles would be awesome. 2. Booker is on the cusp of going to singles, as he should. Dropping the title would give him a great opportunity to do that.

Chris Benoit vs. Raven

Comment: While I like Raven, Benoit simply has more of a future.

WCW Cruiserweight Championship

Eddy Guerrero [c] vs. Rey Misterio Jnr.

Comment: This would help get Eddie out of the Cruiserweight division and get him further up the card.

Pre Show FreeView

WCW World Television Title

Chris Jericho vs. Steven Regal [c]

Comment: Jericho has a bright future, but I don't see Regal dropping the title after only a few days from winning it. On a free-view at that.

Tiebreaker Bonuses:

How many titles will change hands? 2

What will be the longest match of the night? Flair vs Hart

Who will win the fall in the three way dance for the tag belts? Meng

Who will lose the fall in the three way dance for the tag belts? Stevie Ray

Will we see any surprise appearances or returns? At Souled Out? No

How many people will the nWo attack by run in or backstage assault? 3 - Bulldog, The Giant, and Sting

WCW World Heavyweight Championship

Scott Hall vs. Sting [c]

Comment: Too early for him to lose.

Bret Hart vs. Ric Flair

Comment: What a match this should be, with the new star, The Excellence of Execution, Excelling on the win right here.

Diamond Dallas Page vs. Randy Savage

Comment: I'm going with DDP being attacked...BUT still gaining the win somehow, even if by DQ.

Kevin Nash vs. The Giant

Comment: The nWo helps Nash get the win on the rematch here.

WCW United States Heavyweight Championship

Curt Hennig [c] vs. Davey Boy Smith

Comment: I just can't see it happening here.

Rick Steiner vs. Scott Steiner

Comment: Rick gets attacked before the match...and BAM!

WCW World Tag Team Championship

Faces of Fear vs. Harlem Heat [c] vs. The Winning Combination

Comment: I would LOVE to see Martel gaining a title here, but i'll say save it for a match only between the Heat and The Combination. The Barbarian gets pinned and The Combination earns another shot at SuperBrawl because none of them were in the fall.

Chris Benoit vs. Raven

Comment: Fairly unpredictable here. IMO, anything can happen, but then, i'm going with Benoit.

WCW Cruiserweight Championship

Eddy Guerrero [c] vs. Rey Misterio Jr.

Comment: Rey and Eddie do a pinball with the title changing hands on a great series of matches between the two.

Both men are in a must win scenario. Regal has only held the WCW Television title for 1 day and could have one of the shortest reigns of all time. Jericho knows he has to win to make his quest to prove the cruiserweights can tangle with the heavyweights look legitimate. The two square off and Regal gains the early advantage, locking Jericho in a headlock and then transitioning into a hammerlock. Jericho gets out of the hammerlock by pulling on Regal and locking on a Texas toehold on the grounded Champion. The hold is broken and both return to a vertical base and a stale mate. The commentary team discuss who they think will win, with Dusty and Schiavone backing Jericho. Heenan sides with the bad guy saying no way a punk like Jericho is going to beat a record holder like Steven Regal.

Back in the ring, Regal has once again gained the upperhand, having locked in a Octopus Hold onto Jericho. Jericho however counters with a hip toss and then armdrags Regal off his feet. He then presses his advantage and attacks the legs of Regal. He's clearing setting up Regal to hit a Liontamer. The TV champion rolls out of the ring to make some space as Jericho plays to the crowd. Jericho doesn't wait for Regal to get back in and hits a baseball slide. He quickly picks Regal back up and rolls him back into the ring. The challenger is in control and quickly hits a lionsault on Regal. Cover and a close 2 count, the TV title is in his grasp. Jericho attempts a Liontamer, but is too near the ropes and Regal gets a ropebreak. Jericho goes for a powerbomb on Regal but Regal is too heavy for Jericho who falls back, Regal hooks his legs, and out of the referee's vision grabs the ropes. 1 2 3. Regal keeps his title but had to cheat to do it. Jericho protests to the referee about Regal's flagrant cheating but the referee indicates his decision is final.

Winner: Steven Regal by pinfall at 9:58

Grade: C

WCW Cruiserweight Championship

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Eddy_Guerrero.jpg vs. http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Rey_Mysterio.jpg

Eddy Guerrero [c] vs. Rey Misterio Jnr.

The Cruiserweight championship match opened Souled Out proper as two of the best luchadores on Earth squared off. Eddy's reign began by defeating Misterio so these two have history and that resulted in one best cruiserweight matches in recent memory. These two started at a rocket pace and never slowed, Guerrero quickly gained an upperhand in the early going countering an attempted springboard hurracanrana into a powerbomb. He continued to press the advantage hitting a plancha into the ring on Misterio Jnr. A cover only garners a two and Eddy doesn't let up and continues on the assault. He stomps on Misterio, and attempts a Frog Splash, but Misterio rolls out the way. Misterio fights back and hits a bulldog on Eddy as he gets back on his feet. Misterio hits a beautiful leg drop from the top to the back of Eddy's head. Pinfall attempt by Misterio only garners a two count. Rey Misterio Jnr. runs at a prone Eddy who counters into a twilt-a-whirl backbreaker, then attempted a pin for another two count. Guerrero then hit a second powerbomb for another two. Misterio then got a quick rollup, 2 count. Countered by Eddy 2 count. The two counter back and forth, trading near falls. Eventually, Eddy rolls to the outside for a break and his hit by a suicide dive into a tornado DDT by Misterio. Misterio plays to the crowd but is caught short as Guerrero counters an attempt to roll him back into the ring by ramming Misterio into the apron. Guerrero rolls Misterio into the ring, and slides in after him. Guerrero follows up with a third powerbomb, leaving Misterio down. Eddy goes up top and hits his patented Frog Splash. Pinfall and Eddy finally gets the three.

Winner: Eddy Guerrero by pinfall at 14:22

Grade: B-

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/DDP.jpg

We cut backstage to the parking lot where "Diamond" Dallas Page is arriving in the arena. The announcers hype us his match tonight with the Macho Man tonight. Schiavone is beginning to talk about the next match when Page is jumped from behind, knocking over the cameraman! Page begins to fight back but another two figures appear and attack him. The camera finally recovers and we can clearly see the assailants, Randy Savage leading the duo of Scott Norton and Konnan.

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Randy_Savage.jpghttp://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Konnan.jpghttp://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Scott_Norton.jpg

The three administer a brutal beatdown, with a level of violence not normally seen in WCW. After administering repeated blows to Page, Savage orders his cronies to toss Page onto a car which they do. The windshield shatters and Page is covered in glass. Savage walks out of shot and returns with a tire iron. He gets both men to hold Page up as he repeatedly clubs Page in the ribs with the weapon. Commentary is appalled at what they are seeing and begging for people to intervene. Savage slams Page's head repeatedly into the car hood then follows up with an elbow drop from the car's roof and onto Page's ribs. Security finally arrives but the nWo take their time leaving with Savage taking swipes at the camera crew and security on his way out. The camera zooms in on Page and he is noticeably bleeding from the mouth and is being treated by EMT's who says he has to go to the hospital. Schiavone says that they will update us on Page's condition but will let us know during the course of the night. WCW authorities have informed him that Page vs. Savage has been cancelled tonight. Raven meanwhile has remained fixated with Benoit, after Benoit spurred Raven's advances to join the Flock. The psychotic Raven and the master technician Benoit are both in the ring eye to eye. The hatred between the two is palable as Raven slaps Benoit across the face. Benoit cracks a hint of a smile and tackles Raven to the mat. He instantly tries to lock in a Crippler Crossface, Raven claws at Benoit's arms and face trying to prevent it. A rake to the eyes by Raven leads to the referees admonishment but Benoit releases the hold and Raven flees to the outside. Benoit rolls out and continues his assault throwing Raven from behind into the steel guardrail. Benoit follows up by ramming Raven shoulder first into the ringpost and rolling him back into the ring.

Benoit continues to be on the aggressive, clearly he wants to put Raven away as quickly as possible. Benoit continues to attack Raven's arm until Raven counters a Hammerlock by Benoit, falling forward and driving Benoit headfirst into the turnbuckle. He continues his attack, targeting the neck of Benoit with a brutal neckbreaker. Raven is clearly enjoying inflicting pain onto the weakened Wolverine. He applies a chinlock from behind, cranking back on Benoit's neck. Benoit manages to claw his way out and eventually breaks the hold. Raven however doesn't let up and attempts an Evenflow DDT after Benoit is back on his feet. He is countered by Benoit who hits a beautiful Northern Lights Suplex with a bridge. 1 .. 2 .. Kickout by Raven. Benoit will need to do more to put away Raven. He climbs to the top rope and stands up. Commentary are yelling for someone to stop him. Diving Headbutt, Benoit's forehead smashes into Raven's. However the pain reverberates up Benoit's neck and he is unable to capitalize. Benoit is clearly in agony along his neck. When he eventually get the pin it is once again just a two. Benoit is still holding his neck as looks frustrated. He picks up Raven angling for a German Suplex, he hits it but on the way back Raven clips Charles Robinson who is knocked out by the boot to the face. Benoit holds the bridge for just past three seconds before letting go clearly feeling the effects of the damage to the neck. He goes to check on the referee, however, he can't revive him. He then gives up and turns straight into a chair shot to the top of his skull, crushing Benoit's neck. Down he goes clearly in agony. However, Raven didn't swing the chair. A mysterious figure with a hooded jacket stands over Benoit. Raven pulls himself to his feet smiling at the figure. Raven signals to the man to powerbomb Benoit. Commentary say it can't be Saturn this mysterious man is far too tall. The man grabs Benoit and hits the powerbomb driving Benoit right onto his neck. Benoit is limb as the man falls to his knees. Raven stands behind him and pulls back his hood to reveal a familiar face.

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Brian_Adams.jpg

"It's BRIAN ADAMS!!!" screams Schiavone, as Adams snarls at Raven's feet. The two grab Benoit up and Raven puts him in position for a Piledriver. Adams climbs to the top as commentary beg for Raven and his secret weapon to stop the assault. The calls go unheeded as the two hit a brutal Spike Piledriver on Benoit. Raven covers him and Adams tosses Robinson to the cover. 1 ... 2 .... 3. Commentary are in uproar with Raven stealing a win again and the crowd are livid that the dastardly Raven has escaped the beating he deserves. Raven poses with Adams and the two head to the back and Benoit writhes in agony clutching his neck.

Winner: Raven by pinfall at 14:14

Grade: C+

WCW World Tag Team Championship

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Belts/WCW_World_Tag_Team.jpg

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Meng.jpg & http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/The_Barbarian.jpg w/ http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Kevin_Sullivan.jpg vs. http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Booker_T.jpg & http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Stevie_Ray.jpg vs. http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Ray_Traylor.jpg & http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Rick_Martel.jpg

Faces of Fear w/ Kevin Sullivan vs. Harlem Heat [c] vs. The Winning Combination

The most successful team in WCW history defended their titles next. Schiavone emphasises that the champions don't need to be involved in the decision giving Harlem Heat a decided disadvantage. In an interesting change one member of all three teams will be in the ring at once, so we start with Stevie Ray, Meng and Rick Martel as the legal men. The two heels quickly attack the smaller Martel, isolating him from Traylor. Both Harlem Heat and Faces of Fear rapidly exchange tags, attacking Martel with lots of double team moves, including the modified Demolition Decapitation with a stomp in place of the axe handle smash by Faces of Fear and a Double STO by the Heat. Following a 4 man combination to perform a four man Sky Lift Slam, Booker's cover attempt shatters the Face/Heat Alliance with all 4 men engaging a wild brawl. Martel takes his chance crawling to Traylor. TAG! The crowd erupts as the big man clears house, tossing out Meng and Stevie Ray leaving the legal men. He works over both men and eventually his a huge Sidewalk Slam on the Barbarian, much to Sullivan's dismay at ringside. Sullivan gets up on the apron to distract the ref as Traylor covers Barbarian. Booker T seeing an opportunity Axe Kick's Martel on the apron who falls to the floor. Traylor has gone to protest to the referee but is cut off by a brass knuckled fist by Booker T. Booker T took the knucks from his trunks. Sullivan is pulled off the apron by Stevie Ray and Meng lunges at him and the two brawl outside. Booker T takes advantage and pins The Barbarian. 1 ... 2 ... 3! The Champions retain in the dirtiest way possible. Booker quickly snatches up the titles and the two head to the pack while both the Faces of Fear and The Winning Combination look robbed.

Winner: Harlem Heat by pinfall at 15:11 (Booker T over the Barbarian)

Grade: C+

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Rick_Steiner.jpg vs. http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Scott_Steiner2.jpg

Rick Steiner vs. Scott Steiner

Now its time for the match that no one saw coming. Brother vs. Brother. Scott vs. Rick. Scott is out first, clad in nWo black and white with "The Superior Steiner" airbrushed on his singlet. This attracts the ire of the fans who don't approve of Scott's new attitude. Rick is out next and heads to the ring and gets in his brother's face right away. Poor Charles Robinson forces his way between the two and we get a clean break to the corners. The bell is rung and the match we thought would never happen is under way. Scott charges out the corner and is met by his brother with a thunderous spear into a tackle to the ground. Rick pounds on the grounded Scott and you can sense that any sense of brotherly love between the two has now completely dissipated. Dusty says he is appalled by Scott's change in attitude. He's been corrupted by the nWo and their promises of greatness claims Schiavone. In the ring, both men are just brawling with each other in a stiff back and forth battle. Scott gains the upperhand after a short arm Steinerline and takes time to yell abuse at the fans. This gets the fans on his case who holler verbal insults back. It's clear who the fan favourite Steiner is. Rick gets up and takes advantage hittting a brutal release German Suplex on Scott. He covers only getting a two. The two trade suplexes back and forth, bring the crowd alive. Finally Scott hits a vicious Steiner Screwdriver, then circles round the grounded Rick to his legs. He's locked in the Scott Lock, Rick is screaming in agony as knee is being torn apart. The referee brings a stop to the match for Rick's safety after he refused to submit. Scott Steiner wins and celebrates by posing and mouthing off at the fans once again.

Winner: Scott Steiner by "submission" at 15:55

Grade: C+

The bell has sounded, but Rick Steiner is not happy, angrily protesting to the referee about his stoppage. Despite the fact he is limping badly, Rick sees his brother celebrating and has had enough. Tackling Scott from behind the two have a brutal brawl to the back. Referees and officals have to flood in to try and seperate the two as Rick clearly feels he has been cheated out of a important victory.

Grade: C+

WCW United States Heavyweight Championship

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Belts/WCW_US.jpg

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Curt_Hennig.jpg w/ http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Rick_Rude.jpg vs. http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Davey_Boy_Smith.jpg w/ http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Jim_Neidhart.jpg

Curt Hennig [c] w/ Rick Rude vs. Davey Boy Smith w/ Jim Neidhart

Davey Boy Smith clearly hoped that the Anvil would provide a deterrent to the nWo and their cheating ways. Hennig has been champion since September last year, making him the longest reigning champion in WCW currently. As the only nWo member with a title the pressure is on Hennig and it shows in the early going, as Smith uses his raw power to dominate. After a very impressive delayed vertical suplex (9 seconds for those of you at home) Hennig rolled out of the ring to council with Rude. What he didn't count on was rolling out at the Anvil's feet, Hennig realising his mistake fled back into the ring and straight into a clothesline from Bulldog. Cover but only a two count.

Hennig begins to fight back after countering a back body drop with a go behind, followed by an attempted rollup. 2 and 3/4. Hennig follows up with a DDT as Smith gets back to his feet and again attempts a cover, another 2. Hennig climbs to the top and hits a Double Axe Handle, followed by a swinging Neckbreaker. Another Pin attempt producing a two and Hennig is getting frustrated. Anvil on the outside is willing on the Bulldog to capture a WCW on his first attempt. Hennig heads to Anvil's corner and yells in his face, leading to a shouting match between the two. Hennig eventually turns from Anvil into a ready Bulldog who grabs Hennig up for the Running Powerslam. He starts his run but Hennig slides out the back grabbing Bulldog's neck and almost hitting a modified Scorpion Death Drop. Hennig then grabs Smith up and hits the Hennig Plex. The manoeuvre leads to the three and the nWo will still have one title tonight and will obviously be looking for one more.

Winner: Curt Hennig by pinfall at 14:48

Grade: B-

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Lex_Luger.jpghttp://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Randy_Savage.jpg

We cut to the backstage area to Luger who is getting in Randy Savage's face. The Giant won last time at Starrcade, but will he emerge victorious tonight? The bell rings and these two behemoths square off eye to eye, The Giant is the larger man but his experience is dwarfed by that Nash. Nash attempts to shove the Giant and the big man barely budges. Giant shoves Nash and he takes a step back. Another shove to the Giant, he barely moves. Giant shoves Nash and he rolls back across the ring. Giant poses to the crowd as Nash looks unhappy, he's not used to being the second biggest man in a match. Nash however uses his veteran smart to gain control countering a charging Giant with a Big Boot. Nash continues to work over the Giant as commentary speculate which man will have what it takes to come out on top. Nash is targeting the legs of the Giant clearly learning from the strategies smaller guys have used to beat him. Nash is actually angling for some kind of leglock however he is countered by The Giant shoving him off with his sheer power. Nash charges back but is caught by a gigantic hand wrapping around his throat. The Giant is attempting to Chokeslam Nash! However, Nash pokes The Giant in the eye much to the ref's chagrin. This followed up by a quick kick to the gut and an attempted Powerbomb! The Giant is just to heavy though and blocks Nash. The Giant now swings his arms into Nash's back and then throws him like a doll into a corner. He climbs to the second rope as commentary pray for the ring's safety. He starts the ten punches. 1-2-3-4-5-6-Headbutt to the gut by Nash. With The Giant prone Nash takes advantage and hits a Jacknife! Cover and a three count! Schiavone says Nash may have won the battle but this war is far from over.

Winner: Kevin Nash by pinfall at 14:45

Grade: B

Introducing first, from Charlotte, North Carolina. Two of the greatest in our sport are going to face off. The anticipation can be felt throughout the arena, as these two circle each other. Hart makes the first attempted attack, diving to takedown Flair by the leg. The Nature Boy avoids it, pauses, runs his hands through his hair then "Wooo!" Hart doesn't look impressed by Flair's antics, clearly feeling Flair is belittling him. Hart charges at Flair and takes him down, attacking his legs. Hart wears down Flair, maintaining control. Bret continues this leg based attack until Flair counters a leg grab by Hart into a small package for the two. Flair now is in control and backs Hart into a corner. Vicious knife edge chops from Flair echo throughout the arena. The Phoenix crowd isn't sure who to back with the fans eagerly cheering both men. Flair hits a knee breaker on Hart and attempts a Figure Four Leglock, which Bret counters into a small package of his own. 2 Count and the two trade near falls back and forth. Flair evenutally flattens Hart with a low blow out of the referee's view and heads to the top. Hart however is to quick for the Nature Boy and throws him from the top rope to the canvas. Heenan asks why Flair even tries that move anymore, Dusty says it's how he won the World Title. Heenan mutters that it was nearly 15 years ago. In the ring, Bret presses his advantage whipping Flair into the corner who flops over and out to the floor. Bret clearly doesn't want a count out so quickly pursues Flair, rolling him into the ring at the corner. Bret almost cracks a smile as an idea forms in the Excellence of Execution's mind. He drags Flair so his legs are either side of the ring post, and locks in the Figure Four Leglock around the post. Flair writhes in agony and Bret has to quickly break for the rope break but he may have done all the damage he needs. Bret rolls in the ring and drags Flair into the centre of the ring for a Sharpshooter. Flair pushes Hart off and gets to his feet, badly hobbling on his leg. He hits a backbody drop on Hart sending the Hitman down on his back. Flair is struggling on his feet and falls into Charles Robinson sending both men down. Then they appear...

http://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Kevin_Nash.jpghttp://i881.photobucket.com/albums/ac19/solidliquid777/Roster/Scott_Steiner2.jpg

The damn nWo dogs Nash and Steiner head to the ring. Clearly the nWo fancies Bret Hart as their newest member and that scumbag sold WCW out. Nash and Steiner start attacking Flair who tries to fight the two men off to little avail. A Steiner Screwdriver from Scott and Flair is down. Nash and Steiner drag Bret to his feet who is still groggy. They celebrate and point Bret to the floored Flair, with Steiner raising Hart's arm in victory. Hart however disagrees he pulls his arm from Scott's and slaps him in the face. The shock on Steiner's face will surely become an image of the ages as Bret proceeds to punch him in the face and Scott hits the deck. Nash seeing this lunges at Bret and attacks Bret. Flair is now back on his feet and attacks Nash. The four men have a brawl as Charles Robinson gets to his feet and calls for the bell. The commentary desk are furious that the nWo has cost the WCW fans the chance of a satisfying conclusion to this battle.

Double Disqualification at 20:06

Grade: B

As officals swarm the ring pulling the men apart, Flair grabs a microphone. This is the man they have paid to see. Hall stands with an arrogant swagger opposite the champion, with Bischoff cowering behind him. Hall flicks his toothpick in Sting's general direction and the champion doesn't even acknowledge it, never taking his eyes of Hall. The bell rings and the champ flies out of his corner straight at Hall, swinging wildly. Hall is completely taken off guard and crumples to the mat under a constant barrage of strikes by the Stinger. Easy E is distraught at ringside as the nWo's apparent leader is beaten down to the mat. Hall rolls out of the ring and Sting plays to the crowd. Hall talks strategy with Bischoff before returning to the ring. Hall and Sting lock up and the bad guy eventually gains control following a blatant eye rake. Hall continues his offense, eventually hitting a Fallaway Slam and goes for the cover only getting a two. Hall follows up with getting Bischoff to distract the ref while he chokes the Stinger. Then he picks him up and goes for the Outsider's Edge! Sting however slides out and decks Hall as he turns with a discus clothesline. Bischoff eyes go wide in horror as Sting continues on the offence, eventually whipping Hall to a corner and hitting multiple Stinger Splashes followed by a one handed bulldog. The Pin attempt just misses being a 3. Sting is in full control now and locks in the Scorpion Deathlock. Hall is tapping out Sting Wins!!! Except there is no bell as referee Randy Anderson is outside the ring in an altercation with Bischoff. Sting sees this releases the hold and rolls out of the ring and goes after Bischoff. The commentary team egg on Sting wanting to see him get his hands on that traitor. Bischoff eventually rolls in the ring and Sting follows only to be caught by a clothesline by Hall. Hall takes advantage and continues his offence against Sting and then attempts another Outsider's Edge. Sting however slides out and rotates as he does and drops Hall flat with the Scorpion Deathdrop. Sting covers and gets the three. Bischoff is nearly in tears as the nWo's show ends with the World title being kept from their grasp.

Winner: Sting by pinfall at 18:37

Grade: B

WCW World Television Championship

Steven Regal [c] d.
