I really love this diary. Maybe it's because I've never gotten a game where Kikkawa was in rapid decline, but it's insane to think that him and Iesada have been demoted and struggle to put on decent matches when in pretty much all of my games they are the ones carrying the top of the card.

If you were planning a US tour I thought you would have signed a few big US indy names for it, especially since the CZCW guys all become huge stars in the southwest fairly quick.

Ota and Black could have likely pulled a great rating out of some higher up on the card guys due to their US pop

BHOTWG has announced the following matches for their July PPV event, Quest of Heart:

King of Fighters Championship Match: BHOTWG Junior Champion Elemental III vs. King of Fighters Champion Hiroaki Nakasawa

Elemental, whose only singles loss this year came in the finals of the Best of the Super Juniors to Magnum Kobe, has held the Junior Championship since September of 2012 and has challenged Nakasawa for the King of Fighters Championship. Will Elemental make history with an unprecedented double championship?

Burning World Championship Match: Yasuhiko Taira vs. BHOTWG World Champion Masaaki Okazaki

After losing the belt to Okazaki in June, Taira gets his rematch against Okazaki. Can Taira prove Okazaki's victory a fluke, or will Okazaki establish himself as a true world champion in his first run with the belt?

Match to determine the number one contender for the BHOTWG Junior Championship: American Elemental vs. Magnum Kobe vs. Sensational Dragon vs. Hell Monkey

With Elemental III challenging for the King of Fighters championship, the BHOTWG board of directors has mandated a match to determine who would face him for his Junior Championship at August's Pride of Winners show (barring a scheduling conflict due to the Kitozon Cup finals). This four-way elimination match will fill that role. There will be a winner, the only question is which of these high fliers it will be.

In other news:

Rumors are coming out that Aaron Andrews is trying to politic his way up the TCW card.

Before the next show, Danjuro Komatsu provoked Tadiyuki Kikkawa into a big argument. I gave Komatsu a stern warning; his response was "gotcha boss, you made your point loud and clear." It doesn't appear this has hurt the backstage atmosphere.
