News and notes:

The biggest story is that after some backstage rumors about Arthur Dexter Bradley's ability to work being impaired, a comprehensive drug test revealed soft drugs in his system. Since Japan takes such issues seriously, BHOTWG decided to fire Bradley. It's reported that Bradley is accepting the blame here, saying he had no hard feelings about being fired and feels that he messed up and deserves it. He's stated he plans on cleaning up his act. It's also reported that while Bradley was not helped out by the expanded roster Burning Hammer has been carrying recently, if he does get clean, Burning Hammer would be interested in bringing him back. Bradley worked a total of eight matches for Burning Hammer in his month long stay with them.

Primus Allen's contract expired with SWF and he's now a free agent. BHOTWG reached out to him regarding a developmental deal, but Allen has stated he's not interested in such a contract, feeling he's too good to go back to developmental.

Mamoru Nagahama has left WEXXV after his contract expired. He is currently a free agent.

PGHW main eventer Shuji Inukai sprained his finger on the on-going PGHW tour. It's reported that he isn't expected to miss any time due to this.

South of the Border Pro Wrestling has a new Campeon de Mundo, as El Demonio defeated Champagne Lover for the belt at their Comienzo Del Retroceso pay-per-view. This is El Demonio's fifth reign, ending Lover's run on top that started 15 months ago in April, 2012.

After the show, I praised MYSTIC Dragon, Adam Matravers and Kansuke Konda for a great performance.

This pay-per-view had a buyrate of 1.66.

After this show, we sent Shimedzu to Hinote Dojo to help train our workers there.

Hiroaki Nakasawa was reportedly furious at the booking of the main event, where he was told to go to a time limit draw with Elemental III. Rumors state that Nakasawa thought Elemental was not even in the same realm of popularity as himself, and as such did not deserve to take a time limit draw. Further rumors speculate that Nakasawa got a big payoff for the match in an attempt to keep him happy.

Taro Shionoya, Kazunori Yamura, Oleg Dorosklov and Giant Brody have all been called up from developmental. All four will be working in the heavyweight division. Look for Dorosklov to have an immediate impact - the former gold medalist has sufficient mainstream recognition in Japan to catapult him up towards the top of the card.

News:

American Elemental is going to miss about two weeks with an inflamed supraspinatus muscle. He should be back in time for his Junior Championship match against Elemental III at our next PPV.

Yoshii Shiomi just signed a two year written contract extension with us.

Japanese Phoenix thinks he's ready for the main roster.

SWF is planning on the following storylines: Remo vs. Rich Money, Christian Faith vs. Eric Eisen, and Vengeance & Marat Khoklov and Steve Frehley & Robbie Retro.

Randall Hopkirk has retired from wrestling. He is available as a color commentator or a manager, and probably wouldn't be too bad in either role.

Leo Davis has also retired from the ring. He's available as a road agent. Do not hire him as a road agent.

Ditto the Davis note for Pete the Hillbilly.

Italy's Arlo Costa also ended his in ring career and is now available as a road agent, which he looks to be at least halfway decent at.

The news update:

BHOTWG has fired Danjuro Komatsu, their secondary color commentator. Despite resigning him just a few months ago, BHOTWG leadership decided that Komatsu's backstage attitude is not worth keeping him around. Rumors are that Komatsu took this move very personally and is bitter against the new BHOTWG owner for making this move.

It's likely this move was made due to a worsening backstage environment at BHOTWG. While Komatsu was notably a negative influence backstage, others like Hiroaki Nakasawa, Billy Russell, Mitsunari Fugunaga and, most notably, Sensational Dragon are also said to be contributing to the current environment and is possibly affecting the morale of other workers.

It is also reported that the addition of a masseuse at shows has slightly increased the happiness backstage.

BHOTWG is also in negotiations with Yasuhiko Taira to extend his contract. Rumors have leaked early on that Taira expects creative control on his deal, though it has also been reported that BHOTWG management is doing everything they can to avoid giving that by making other appeasements in the new contract.

SWF Welcome to the Jungle took place, with Jack Bruce winning a 30 man battle royal in the main event

Benny "Elmo" Benson is in negotiations to stay with TCW.

Brett Biggins is working on a new contract with SWF.

Sadahiro Jimbo has officially left the wrestling business, leaving PGHW in his son's hands.

Australian woman wrestler Carol Singer retired from the ring today after a 21 year career. She is now looking for work as a road agent.

Fellow Aussie wrestler Big Daddy Horne has ended his in-ring career. Horne is probably best known for his tag championship run with Vance Sturt in APW. He is also looking for work as a road agent.
