News before Pride of Winners:

I forgot to mention that before the last show, Elemental II was upset after Tadakuni Toshusai pulled a prank on him. I took the fatherly approach with Toshusai, which seems to have worked well with him and the locker room.

American Elemental is fit and ready to go for his Junior Championship match with Elemental III.

BHOTWG alum Masutaro Kataoka has announced his impending retirement.

Elmo Benson has signed a non-exclusive contract extension with TCW.

Mick Muscles defeated the leaving Nicky Champion for the USPW World Championship at the USPW Apple Pie and Wrestling! PPV.

CGC put on a solid pay-per-view effort with The Battle Beyond, which was main evented by Alex DeColt defending the CGC World Championship against Ryan Powell.

Canadian Biff the Bruiser has retired, and is now available as a road agent.

We're going to run two more American shows, running both in California.

SWF has expanded to the International level of popularity.

TCW has also expanded to the National level of popularity.

GCG hosted their Heroes Will March On PPV, with an overall rating of 85. Toshiharu Hyobanshi beat Haruki Kudo to retain the GCG World Heavyweight Championship in the main event.

4C's One Night Only was last night, and Sayeed Ali defeated Antonio Del Veccio for their World Championship. Veccio held the belt for just over a year. This is Ali's fourth time as champion.

And... that was it. What a boring week.

Oh, we also added some talent for the American shows. It should be fun.

Edit: And I advanced to the booking screen for our first show... apparently Kazutoshi Imoo decided to start spreading rumors about Red Panther, which nearly caused a fight between the two. I took the fatherly approach with Imoo, and he said "sorry, it won't happen again."

There are also two notes for the backstage situation:

* "Your leadership skills are helpful."

* "Your popular image means people enjoy working with you."

The backstage environment is up to a 89%.

Just a couple of notes on our way out of August...

Burning Hammer has signed a PPV deal with American Option. We're very excited to enter the American market.

Even though we brought in some very big names for our American shows, we managed to post only a $14k loss. Our balance is at $25.9 million.

Fuyuhiko Wakabayashi has made his pro debut, and we've already reached out to him with a developmental deal.

TCW Hotter Than Hell was held, with a main event of Wolf Hawkins defending the TCW World Championship against Rocky Golden (the semi-main of Cornell vs. RDJ was a better match). Rick Law won the International Championship from Giant Tana. This was a solid show.

Nene Ebina and April Appleseed have both retired. Appleseed is looking for work as a road agent and has opened her own dojo, House of Appleseed. House of Appleseed has a high flying emphasis, is located in Puerto Rico and has a reputation of 3. Ebina is available as a manager or a road agent.

Blaze Maximum has jumped to APW from DIW.

Steve Flash has opened his own promotion, Phoenix Wrestling Company, a hardcore company (somewhat surprisingly for the technician Flash). It starts out as a small promotion.

News for the month of September:

Japan News

Tadiyuki Kikkawa has signed a five year contract extension with us. He should wrap up his career as a member of the Burning Hammer roster.

We're calling people up to the main roster: Lion Genji, Michio Gensai, Thimbleby Langton and Wooton Fitzpaine for the Heavyweight division and Stealth Z, Japanese Phoenix, Jotaro Tanaka, and Michel Bernard for the junior division.

It's rumored that Bryan Holmes is not going to be resigned by PGHW.

PGHW borrowed Mitsunari Fugunaga for a show.

Stone Yoshikawa walked out on PGHW. He's still working for BCG.

WLW is starting a storyline with Magnum Kobe vs. SUKI.

Takesi Umehara has retired and is now trying to work as a road agent.

Seishiro Hiraga walked out on WEXXV.

Former 5SSW World Champion Saeko Hiroyuki has retired. She has opened a dojo (with a high flying focus) with a reputation of 4.

Sensational Dragon is apparently trying to politic the way up his card in CILL. Despite only being loaned there. I don't get it.

Injuries

John Anderson has suffered a pretty severe quadricep strain and is going to be out of action until early November.

Another wrestler who just finished some dates for BHOTWG, PGHW's Bussho Makiguchi, separated his shoulder. He missed about two weeks of September.

Dan Stone Jr. is going to be out until late October due to an orbital fracture.

Nobuatsu Tatsuko is working through a dislocated wrist.

WLW and BCG wrestler Mokuami Maita has suffered a displaced tibia fracture and will be out for about all of September.

News Outside of Japan

SWF's Under Control PPV was a decent show, main evented by Steve Frehley defending the World Championship against Angry Gilmore. The best match was Remo vs. Vengeance.

NOTBPW put on some absolutely wonderful shows; their monthly PPV was September Scramble and its overall rating was 94. It featured a 99 rated Johnny Bloodstone vs. Dan Stone Jr. and a 98 rated Sean McFly vs. Steve DeColt match. They also had a 99 rated TV match with Sean McFly beating Duane Stone.

There's a new world champion in USPW, with James Justice defeating Mick Muscles at their United States of Pain PPV. It was a praised show.

Alex DeColt won the battle royal main event of the CGC Last Man Standing Show. Eddie Chandler beat DeColt for the World Championship on that show.

TCW Destructive Energy was a good show, with Wolf Hawkins defending the TCW World Heavyweight Championship against Joey Minnesota. The main event was a 99 rated match with Koshiro Ino beating Tommy Cornell. Danny Fonzarelli also beat Rick Law for the International Championship.

Nicky Champion debuted on an episode of SWF Supreme TV and beat Rich Money in the main event.

Koshiro Ino has signed a five-year contract extension with TCW.

Danny Fonzarelli turned heel. I love the idea of an evil Fonz.

FCW grew to a regional promotion.

Marc DuBois and Kurt Laramee are rumored to be on their way out of SWF.

On the first show for PWC, Steve Flash won their championship by beating Mean Jean Cattley in the main event.

It is now October, 2013. We've started our last tour of the year, Ace Dynasty.

Four matches have been announced for our upcoming PPV Silencing Dragons.

First of all, the finals for both the Burning Heavyweight Tag Team Cup and Burning Junior Tag Team Cup will be held at that show. Brackets will be announced shortly for the two tournaments.

The Burning Junior Championship is on the line when Magnum Kobe challenges Elemental III. Kobe, the World Level Universal Champion, won the Best of the Super Juniors in April, beating Elemental III in the final. However, the month before at Test of Prophecies, Elemental III successfully defended the Burning Junior Championship against Kobe. This will be the rubber match between the two for 2013; will Elemental III rack up his 11th successful title defense, or will Magnum Kobe become a double champion?

Finally, Masaaki Okazaki puts his Burning World Championship on the line against Tadakuni Toshusai. Toshusai was the only wrestler to come up with a win against Okazaki in their block of the Kitozon Cup, and Okazaki put his belt on the line so he could get revenge. Will Okazaki even the score against Tadakuni, or will Toshusai win his first ever world championship?

I've updated the second post with our roster. Most significant notes:

  • Hiroaki Nakasawa is up to 99 overness in Japan. I think the key was beating Tommy Cornell in the US, interestingly enough.
  • Mitsunari Fugunaga and Roy Edison are now the second and third most over people in the company, at 88 and 86 overness, respectively. Again, during our U.S. tour they beat Natural Storm and The Machines, which came after their PPV win against Kikkawa and Iesada.
  • The juniors division is still a level below the heavies, but Black is now tied for most over with Magnum Kobe. Again, Black beat Benson in the U.S.

News before we start our tag team cups:

We've started contract extension negotiations with Golden Scorpion.

Burning Hammer has also reached a contract with HYBOSO as our PPV provider in Japan, giving us huge coverage in our home natoin.

Billy Russell has an inflamed supraspinatus muscle (in his back) and is going to miss 12 days.

Stuart Ferdinand has a simple fracture of his scapula (shoulder blade); that's going to keep him out of the ring in about 52 days.

In an even more gruesome injury, Kiko Sakakibara has a class III fracture of her larynx. She'll be out for nearly three months.

Gino Montero is working through a dislocated wrist.

The worst injury news over the weekend is that Xavier Reckless ruptured his spinal cord and is going to be out for over a year. Hopefully he can return to the ring healthily.

A number of promotional feuds have started up. First up, Grimm Socal Wrestling and CZCW now have hositle relationships. In Mexico, EMLL

More impressively, rumors have come out of Golden Canvas Grappling that they've taken hostile approaches to three promotions on the same day: Hinote Dojo, Pro Wrestling SAISHO and 5 Star Supreme Wrestling. I'm not really sure why 5SSW is on there.

Darryl Devine has signed a deal with TCW; I'm pretty excited to see what happens with him after he leaves USPW.

Akima Brave, who's been working in both IPW and PWMAX, has been signed by NOTBPW. He'll be working under his real name, Malili Umaga.

It sounds like SWF is not going to extend Lobster Warrior's deal. Warrior has been there since 2002.

Its due to Regional Wars and a dickish owner most likely
