I've never played that one. Should be a cake walk. <p> </p><p> He wins the first match against The Snowman. 23-0! Easy. </p><p> </p><p> And then it happens...</p><p> </p><p> I lose the next round matchup against Robert freaking Gibson of the Rock & Roll Express. A fluke Sleeper does me in. Of course, I lose all three bouts to Terry Taylor (by DQ!), Tim Horner (another fluke Sleeper Hold!), and Steve 'Dr. Death' Williams (my first 1v1 bout against the guy = he pounds me into the pavement). </p><p> </p><p> August of 1984. I am nine months in and I am right back where I started: A chump low leveler working for Bill Watts.</p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Almost the exact same story here, except still a low level talent. Playing as The Great Muta I start out on the indies, go on a 12 match winning streak to raise in popularity and join the AJPW roster (to later on possibly jump ship to NJPW....). </p><p> </p><p> In AJPW I continue the streak up to 24 wins, then enter the Sweet Sixteen Tournament, first round I draw Don Curtis, who at this point is somewhat superior to me, and after a valiant 16 minutes Drops me....into the Under Pressure storyline I go.</p><p> </p><p> First match is with El Sicodelico who is also somewhat better then myself...not so far a gap as Don Curtis AND I hold 1 tag team, 1 6-Man tag and 2 single victories over. So my hopes are high of keeping my spot......right up until I lost in a little over 11 minutes....so storyline already a failure and match two is to be against, That's right Don Curtis. </p><p> </p><p> Good grief Charlie Brown.</p>

I'm sure that you already know this but Pringle was his first manager in WCCW, when Mark was just starting out and was "under the mask" as Texas Red. Pringle talked to Fritz Von Erich, who then asked your buddy, Don Jardine, to take a look at him and help him out by "teaching him the ropes" so to speak. That's how Mark learned to walk the top rope for the now known as "old school" move. That move is a signature move of The Spoiler.</p><p> </p><p> Just purchased WS3 and will now take it for a test drive to get used to it.</p><p> </p><p> The constants: life, death, taxes and my Undertaker diaries.</p>

I am not too sure if I pulled it off this go around, but at least I've tried.</p><p> </p><p> Again, thanks!</p>

<p>Been having a blast with this mod.</p><p> </p><p>

That said, I was playing as Steven Regal and decided to jump ship and come to America instead of slogging through the UK scene. As soon as I hit the Gimmick match storyline (forget the exact name) the game immediately through me into a Cage match.</p><p> </p><p>

With Scott Norton.</p><p> </p><p>

I stumbled across an <a href="http://rare.us/story/how-capitalism-and-the-junkyard-dog-helped-integrate-pro-wrestling/" rel="external nofollow">interesting article</a> concerning the Junkyard Dog's cultural impact during the 1980s.</p><p> </p><p> By '87, Ritter was going downhill - but during that six year window between '80-86, there were very few wrestlers as beloved as JYD. Hogan and all those guys known far and wide were popular, but Junkyard Dog was <em>loved</em>. </p><p> </p><p> It is especially nice to see Ernie Ladd get the credit for developing the 'black superhero' character and, more importantly, putting him over as such. I know that the Big Cat inducted JYD into the WWE's Hall of Fame, but Ladd does not get nearly enough credit for helping put the Dog on the road to success.</p>

I know you won't be releasing this for TEW13 but do you have any idea when the last version was released for TEW? I saw someone saying that there have been versions for TEW and I'd love to check them out.

I released versions of this all the way through TEW07, PJ. Several guys converted and tweaked it for TEW08 and (I think) '10, but that's the last it was heard from in the TEW series.

Of course, I would not be surprised whatsoever if the storylines still live in the step & fetch 1980s mods that sprang up afterwards. The commentary in those were gold, I tells ya. Gold! :D

Thanks Boon, now I just need to fall into large sums of money to pay you to give this a go for TEW 13 <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> :p

You done did it again, sir. Thanks again for all your hard work.</div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Much appreciated, Brian; thank you, kindly.</p><p> </p><p> For those interested, I have uploaded an Update to the data: <a href="http://www.mediafire.com/download/lgabw48b4udnmq2/DOTT_Update.rar" rel="external nofollow">Here</a>.</p><p> </p><p> <em>[simply unzip and then toss the WreSpi3.mdb file into your Databases / D.O.T.T folder. When prompted, replace the old one.]</em></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> I had been asked to list out the changes made for this update, but I have failed to notate them as I have in the past. I apologize.</p><p> </p><p> A lot of work has gone into general tweaks to moves, move sets, and wrestler stats - but just about everything in-game has been revisited and tweaked out to some extent.</p><p> </p><p> The Japan side of things is still rather untouched, but... meh. </p><p> </p><p> ------------</p><p> </p><p> I have also been asked to provide a proper listing of mod information for those that are gauging the time and effort of downloading. </p><p> </p><p> For those on the fence: D.O.T.T. consists of a bunch of wrestling bears, a peck of angry midgets, Dusty Rhodes, and about a thousand other wrestlers that no one has heard about. There are 36 promotions in the game, but the entire mod essentially revolves around GLOW. And while I could trumpet the close to 400 customized Attribute Sets, I am probably most proud of stealing Adam's 8,772 Wrestler Names so as to avoid 'Hulk Hogan' facing off against the randomly generated 'Wrestler #253'.</p><p> </p><p> Most importantly, the 2000+ moves and 800+ move sets are scaled to a 1980s time frame. If you go into the mod expecting the skittles-like 5* matches of the default data, you are going to be sorely disappointed. As point of reference, I've three careers going; Lord Humongous, Gino Hernandez, and the Sheik. In the close to 150 fights between them, I've exactly one 5 star match - and that was some fluke tag team submissions bout that went painfully long.</p><p> </p><p> To sum it up, it is the bee's knees.</p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p> <span>http://i623.photobucket.com/albums/tt315/BoonsGhost/LittleTeddy.jpg</span></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37414" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>"The midget version of Terrible Ted the Wrestling Bear: After working for Build-a-Bear Workshop as a minimum waged nude model, Little Teddy decided that if he was destined to live with such crushing shame, he may as well become a professional wrestler and get paid big bucks for it.<p> </p><p> Trained for this honor by Terrible Ted, Little Teddy seeks to proudly continue the Terrible Ted tradition... in a much cuter and ever more marketable package!"</p></div></blockquote>
