Illinois has offered me the Head job. They are coming off of an 0-12 season. It has been my dream to move up the ranks. Im not sure if this the time. They currently have a combined record of 8-38 (5-27).</p><p> </p><p>

You have your recruits now and the team should have a good year (and then maybe a better offer). I'd like to see you compete for the conference title before heading for a bigger school.</p><p> </p><p>

I'm not excited about Illinois and they are really on the bottom of the Big 10. </p><p>

Do you have a particular conference or area of the country that you strive for? (guessing from the screename, you might opt for the midwest and the Big 10 - in which case this might be more intriquing offer to you). I think you'll get a more stable team, even from the Big 10 with another even better year at SDSU.</p>

I have decided to stay at SDSU. Illinois is the type of conference I am looking to coach in but it just wasn't the right fit. Im not sure SDSU will ever get ahead of programs such as Utah, TCU, & BYU. But I am going to stick it out and see what happens this year.</p>
