Marcus Bagwell pranks WCW

According to reports, Marcus Bagwell took the booking sheet and replaced it with one he created at home. The locker room was furious at the matches set up and were prepared to riot when they discovered Bagwell laughing in the corner. Turner is said to have tied to sit Bagwell down and talk to him but Marcus wasn't interested in this fatherly approach.

15,000 fans at the Norfolk Scope {Mid Atlantic}

Pre-Show

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, The Machines defeated Brad Armstrong and Brian Armstrong in 7:51 when Machine #2 defeated Brad Armstrong by submission with a Asian Triangle Hold.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Erik Watts defeated Jean-Paul Levesque in 8:09 by submission with a STF.

Before Saturday Night kicked off Ricky Steamboat, Kevin Sullivan, and The Guardian Angel did a brief meet and greet with the fans as they waited for the show to start.

Show Starts

Nick Bockwinkle was in the ring and he announced that the Light Heavy Weight Championship match would not be between 2 wrestlers because the Championship Committee could not agree on just 2 competitors. So, in an unprecedented move the match would be the first ever 6 Man, Single Elimination, Championship Match or as the Committee has decided to call it...a Super Six Way! Nick then went on to say the wrestlers in the match would be announced on Main Even prior to the Fall Brawl PPV.

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, The Steiner Brothers defeated Bad Attitude in 8:05 when Bobby Eaton was disqualified when Booker T ran in and attacked Rick Steiner. During the match Stevie Ray also ran in and attacked Scott Steiner.

Harlem Heat continued the attack on The Steiner Brothers but Bad Attitude refused to stand by and watch the assault continue. Badd Attitude and the Steiners fought off Harlem Heat, sending the Tag Champions back to the locker room area.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Chris Candido defeated Brian Pillman in 8:07 by pinfall with a Blonde Bombshell. During the match Tammy Lynn Sytch distracted Pillman allowing Chris to turn the match in his favor.

Barry Windham approaches Sting in the back and the two talk about old times. Sting walks off when Barry asks about Hulk Hogan, claiming he has somewhere he has to go, but he does say Hogan is awesome.

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Meng defeated Rob Van Dam in 8:04 by pinfall with a Super Kick.

Sting is in the parking area as if he is waiting for someone to arrive when the Diamond Doll approaches him and offers a truce between Sting and DDP. Sting agrees that he has bigger fish to fry and shakes the Doll's hand when Big Ron Studd comes out and attacks! Big Ron Studd slams Sting on the concrete hard before delivering a Studd Buster that leaves Sting down between two parked cars. As the Diamond Doll and Ron walk away a limo arrives and we see a boot step out before the show goes to commercial.

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Arn Anderson defeated Lord Steven Regal in 8:20 by submission. During the match the announcers wondered who was Sting waiting for, although they agree it was most likely Hogan, and why was Sting alone.

Ron Simmons and Teddy Long approach Vader in the back area. Ron and Teddy claim that Vader has been written off by the office and fans just like Simmons. Teddy says he knows Vader and Ron has had their issues in the past, but “together they can become the most devastating team in the world player.” Vader agrees to a try out match with Simmons as a partner, but he won't leave Harley Race's employ unless they win.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Davey Boy Smith defeated Nicolai Koloff in 8:05 when Nicolai Koloff was disqualified because Ivan Koloff ran in and attacked Davey Boy Smith. Once again Nicolai loses but manages to hang on to the WCW Television Championship.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Big Ron Studd defeated Terry Gordy in 7:57 by pinfall with a Studd Buster. The announcers mentioned the earlier attack on Sting and whether or not Sting would be fit to compete at Fall Brawl.

DDP came out and joined the victorious Big Ron Studd in the ring. Page claims that he is sick of Sting being treated like wrestling royalty and guys like Big Ron Studd, or the Diamond Studd as DDP likes to call him, are treated like disposable fodder. He says that many people wrote DDP off erly in his career just like they write off Big Ron, but after Ron Studd defeats Sting at Fall Brawl they won't be writing off either of us.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Vader and Ron Simmons defeated Stars 'n' Stripes in 6:03 when Ron Simmons defeated The Patriot by pinfall with a Dominator. Simmons and Vader looked awesome as a team and the announcers speculated that they could become tag team champions if they stayed together.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Dusty & Dustin Rhodes defeated Funk & Foley in 10:11 when Dustin Rhodes defeated Terry Funk by pinfall with a Bulldog. During the match Erik Watts distracted Terry Funk costing Funk the match and getting a bit of revenge. Ric Flair joined the commentary team during the match, calling Dustin and Dusty a never was and has been unlike Ric who was, is, and always will be the man. The announcers also took note of the Cactus/Funk team and speculated that Funk could be the man Cactus selects to be his partner if he wins the Number 1 Contender to the Tag Titles match against Kevin Sullivan at Fall Brawl.

Hulk Hogan finally arrives at the arena and he looks furious. He gets out of his limo and Steve Austin is there to greet him. Austin tells Hogan he paid the Hulkster's driver to take the scenic route so the fans wouldn't have to see Hogan's fat ass on their television screens. Hogan gets in Austin's face and it looks like they are about to start brawling as the show ends.

Randy Savage Dies!

In shocking news The Macho Man Randy Savage passed away on Thursday Week 1 1994. His death is said to be drug related and his current employer WCW is catching a lot of heat. Ted Turner is said to be very upset as Randy's contract just started and his death not only makes his company look bad but completely ruins plans he had for WCW. Rumors regarding the role Randy was to play in WCW are starting to swirl around with Randy being said to be the next man to face Hulk Hogan, him being brought in to be Hogan's back up, and Randy facing Flair at Halloween Havoc among the most repeated ones.

Someone dying like that is definitely a game changer! So where does that go from here? Do we go low brow or high class, do we never mention it again, or does Hogan bring in someone else? Count me intrigued to see where you go with this! I'm honestly not sure which is worse; having Randy die before debuting, or like in my game where the month after I signed him he went into time decline!

After much thought I decided to press on, despite getting DINGED for a worker who hadn't debuted dying of drugs and hurting the WCW image, and will address the issue in a classy yet wrestling Kayfabe type of way. Also, thanks for reading!</p>
