de knegt Posted April 9, 2014 Share Posted April 9, 2014 Someone already suggested such a thing, and I sincerely doubt that this will find it's way into WMMA4 or any future WMMA games. It's too niche, and it's hardly regulated as it is. And even if it was mainstream it would be a ridiculous amount of work to alter the game engine in such a way to allow 10 people fighting at once. Let's just stick with 1v1 for now and have Adam perfect the engine for mainstream MMA before something like this even gets contemplated... This sounds something that would be great for an underground MMA organization or something like that. Blackman Posted April 9, 2014 Share Posted April 9, 2014 I agree. It's been suggested in the past and it just sounds way too complicated to program right. It's also a waste of (human) resources. A fight lasted a whole minute to put out 5 guys. It'd be a terrible product on both conceptual and organisational level. I do like the idea of team-based MMA with fighters of two different teams. I even started a game (and a small diary) around the concept. However, that's just singles matches framed in a larger game. This would be nice to integrate imo. The only thing that needs to happen is make the fighters conscious of the team-frame so it might impact their performance a little. But that would just be a minor thing and is not really necessary.
