OLD Go Out Of Business

Original Legends Deathmatches became the latest casualty of the wrestling business last night, as they were finally forced to announce their bankruptcy. The OLD alumni included names like; Billy Wood, "No Pain" Buddy Gaines, Cat Jemson, Darius Carter, I'Butcher, The McWade Brothers, The Nation Of Filth, Smokey Joe, Miss Bliss, Monty "The Python" Walker, Todd "The Hype" Cusson, The Outbackers, Primal Rage, Randall Hopkirk, The Extreme Ref, Tank Bradley, The Guru and "The Preacher" Travis Century.

CZCW vs the World?

If rumours are to be believed, there are some bad blood between CZCW and AWA, IPW, TAW, AAA and GSW. The CZCW owner Cliff Anderson has made it clear that the other promotions are "the enemy" and are to be treated as such. How this will affect the future of the promotions remains to be seen.

The Death Of CGC?

Alarm bells are ringing around CGC, as strong rumours are circulating that the company is set to make wide-ranging cutbacks following a recent decline in business. Many wrestlers are preparing themselves for the worst, although it is said that the company will try to keep its top stars in place, despite falling to Cult size.

Pee-Wee Germaine Starts Promotion

Clark "Pee-Wee" Germaine held a press conference last night, announcing the formation of his own promotion, Ring Of Horror Wrestling (ROHW). He revealed that he had big plans for the new company, and hoped to be able to announce the first several big name wrestlers who would be joining them within the next few weeks.

Ring Of Horror Wrestling comes out of Philly, and offers a Hardcore product aimed squarely at the 18-30 male demographic, just like their predecessors like DAVE, XFW, PSW and PPPW. Wether it can replicate the success of DAVE, is questionable, but there is certainly never shortage of hardcore fans in the Philly area who are ready to come and see wrestling.

Masked Patriot XV is Alexander Kennedy and are together with JD Morgan the most skilled worker on the list. I'm surprised that Darius Carter still is unemployed since he is a pretty ok worker, that should do ok in a promotion like USPW. The best worker outside the Top 20 rankings are probably Todd "The Hype" Cusson that already has worked for 6 different promotions during 2013.)
