Surprised Cabana/Danielson didn't get MOTN :p

Yeah I guess I wrote it a little better than the actual match of the night which I believe went to The Briscoes vs Strong and Sydal, which of course doesnt surprise me due to the four men involved.

ROH Newswire June 26, 2006

Yet another successful double shot in the Midwest for Ring of Honor! But we are now 20 days away from Death Before Dishonor 4! It is looking like it is going to be one helluva show, headlined of course by what is now becoming a Triple Main Evert!

Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion Bryan Danielson has been challenged by Low Ki and since Danielson is a fighting champion (regardless of how he may retain the title) and has accepted the challenge. This all started after Ki disrespected Danielson at Ring of Homicide and after Low Ki was disgusted that Danielson was pinned in their Triple Threat Match back at The International Challenge. The two took part in incredible matches on the first few shows back in 2002, and now Low Ki will have a chance to become a 2-Time ROH Champion, or Danielson will have the chance to extend his reign to 10-months!

As was mentioned last week, a massive Tag Team Street Fight has been signed! Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels will take on the challenge of Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnolli! For nearly 3 months now, the Kingdom has been a thorn in the side of Joe and Daniels, and for almost all of the ROH officials for that matter. Joe and Daniels will be looking to defend the honor of the company they hold so close to their hearts; While Hero and Castagnolli will look to try and continue to tear down ROH from the inside.

The third part of our Triple Header involves KENTA! Jay Briscoe is not too happy about losing to KENTA this past weekend and has challenged him to ‘man up’ in a tag team match! So at Deah Before Dishonor 4 it will be Jay and Mark Briscoe against KENTA and fellow Japanese worker Taiji Ishimori! Ishimori impressed the hell out of everyone in his display this past weekend against AJ Styles and now KENTA is looking to help elevate the young man here in ROH.

We have so much more planned for Death Before Dishonor 4, but we don’t want to overload you with too much! Have a couple of weeks left before the show and will continue to update the card as we go along.

We also wanted to leave you fans with a MAJOR announcement! In August, for one amazing night, Ring of Honor will be in Budoken Hall in Japan! KENTA has said that is when he wants his ROH World Title Shot, and we will give it to him. Plus, the ROH Tag Team Titles will be defended and thusly turn into ROH WORLD Tag Team Titles. More on this in the upcoming weeks!

Scheduled to appear for Death Before Dishonor IV

ROH Tag Team Champions Austin Aries and Roderick Strong; plus Matt Sydal and Jack Evans of Generation Next

ROH Pure Wrestling Champion Alex Shelley

BJ Whitmer

Jimmy Jacobs

AJ Styles

Kevin Steen

The Necro Butcher

Homicide

ROH Newswire June 29, 2006

The card for Death Before Dishonor IV continues to take shape over the past few days and ROH officials are very excited. Not only will we be having a Triple Main Event, but the undercard if full of matches that will no doubt excite the fans and make for a memorable show.

ROH Tag Team Champions Austin Aries and Roderick Strong have told ROH officials that if they are to be considered the best tag team in ROH history, they have to defend the belts in an Ultimate Endurance Match…so of course we said yes! So they will defend against The Havana Pitbulls, The Irish Airborne, and Matt Sydal and Jack Evans! The three falls will be 1) A Scramble Match 2) A Submission Match 3) A ROH Tag Team Championship Match.

Lacey, in her quest to try and rid ROH of BJ Whitmer, has paid the Kingdom an unknown fee for the services of The Necro Butcher for one night only! So at Death Before Dishonor 4, it will be Whitmer vs Butcher, and ROH officials will let the rules be bent only slightly in this one.

Pure Champion Alex Shelley is set to defend the Pure title against former Pure Champion Jay Lethal as Shelley looks to continue his reign as champion. It has been leaked to ROH officials though that Prince Nana will not be in Philly, with Shelley requesting that he not be there or escort him to the ring. We will definitely be watching this further to see how this develops.

We have six matches already signed for one of our premier events in Ring of Honor and we still have room for a couple more matches. We are still negotiating with all of the workers that have been scheduled to be there and will reveal the rest of the card when it becomes available. So stay tuned into rohwrestling.com for more updates!

OOC: I wanted everyone to know that you can predict for this show, but I will have the results up sometime tomorrow due to me having drill this weekend for the first time since I moved down to Florida. So…that also means I will resume posts NEXT Monday when I get back. Thanks guys.

ROH Newswire June 29, 2006

Today, we will finalize the entire Death Before Dishonor 4 card! And it is going to be a jam packed night for ROH!

A Four Corner Survival has been signed for the event with four top quality wrestlers! [b}AJ Styles, Kevin Steen, Jimmy Jacobs, and Colt Cabana[/b] will be the four men involved and, as always, this will match will be used when determining the next set of challengers for the Ring of Honor World Title.

’The Notorious 187’ Homicide will still have to wait to get his hands on Low Ki and The Havana Pitbulls, but he will be able to vent out his anger and frustration on one of Lacey’s Angels, Adam Pearce. Will Homicide walk out the winner? Or will Pearce show that he is more than just a mercenary for Lacey?

Davey Richards has been on a tear throughout Ring of Honor in his short tenure with us. Now he has a huge challenge ahead of him coming up in the form of Jerry Lynn! Lynn is a very experience competitor who no doubt will be able to challenge Richards and take him to the limit. One has to think though, if Richards would get a victory, how high will his stock rise in ROH?

OOC: So I guess I should have said that the ‘stars’ I was referring to were in ROH and would star on the show. I apologize but I haven’t made any big signings yet that will impress everyone. I also thought everyone should know that the WWe in their 'great wisdom' have put the World Heavyweight Title on Carlito. Im still trying to figure out if 'thats cool' or not :/

Death Before Dishonor IV

Philadelphia, PA

July 15, 2006

Pre-Show: Tyler Black def. Derrick Dempsey in 6:57 by pinfall (D)

Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels were standing backstage with one another, united in their war against The Kingdom. This being a landmark promo for the duo, having been enemies for so long in ROH, Joe and Daniels looked prepared and focused for their match this evening.

Joe – “My name is Samoa Joe, and this is Ring of Honor! Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnolli have been like a cancer here in this company. Well now they will face off against two of the baddest mother f****** in the history of this promotion. Chris Daniels and I have dedicated our blood sweat and tears to making ROH into the company it is today and I will be d***** if I let you and your ‘kingdom’ wreck what we have built. Tonight, I will look to put an end to your rule and I can promise you Chris Hero, I will destroy you!”

Daniels – “Joe is absolutely right. He and I may not have always seen eye-to-eye in our time with this company but this is one thing we d*** sure do. I have personally been humiliated by these men and their little gang of goonies too many times now. But now, be prepared. Because there will be h*** tonight…and that is the prophecy according to Christopher Daniels.”

Lacey – “BJ Whitmer. I have spent my hard earned money to ask the Kings of Wrestling for the services of The Necro Butcher to take you out tonight, and I know it will be money well spent. I am sick of seeing your face in Ring of Honor and quite frankly, ROH officials shouldn’t allow you anywhere near the doors after what you did to me at the 100th Show. I am still not 100%, but thankfully I can afford good rehab. After tonight BJ, I hope to no longer see your face in Ring of Honor!”

Pre-Show: Tyler Black def. Derrick Dempsey in 6:15 with a God’s Last Gift

Jerry Lynn vs Davey Richards

It was a great way to start off this show, and the two participants went all out to make in an opening match worthwhile. Of course Lynn had the experience factor, but Davey proved that he was no slouch and took the match to Lynn from the opening bell. It started off as a stiff contest with both men exchanging hard and stiff strikes. Davey took control of the match and began to work over Lynn’s legs, trying to set him up for the Stretch Muffler submission hold he likes to use. Lynn fought back, although all of his attacks were weakened a little due to his leg being worked on. Lynn attempted the Cradle Piledriver but Davey was able to turn it around and put him in the Stretch Muffler! The fans were split in chanting for Lynn to tap or not tap, showing their respect for both men. Lynn was able to get to the ropes and break the hold though, much to the anger of Davey. Davey scaled the top rope but before he could leap on to Lynn, Lynn crotched him on the top and got up there with him. He hooked Davey and nailed a Cradle Piledriver from the second rope! He covered Davey and got the three count!

Lynn waited for Davey to get back up and the two shook hands, showing their mutual respect.

Jerry Lynn wins by pinfall in 11:57

Ring of Honor Pure Wrestling Championship Match

Alex Shelley© vs Jay Lethal

Being a former Pure Champion, Jay Lethal was the perfect man to prove the credentials of the newly crowned champion, even though Shelley had already defeated three top ROH stars. Everyone was a little surprised by the absence of Prince Nana, but Shelley seemed more focused than normal and showed that by really dominating the opening exchanges. He caused Lethal to use two of his rope breaks early, proving that he had already gotten a grip of the Pure Wrestling Rules. Now pissed, Lethal wrestled a much more aggressive match, using strikes that were legal per the rules and focusing on a variation of suplexes to keep Shelley grounded. This began to work against Lethal, with Shelley having the superior ground game, was able to regain the control of the contest. He took Lethal down with a Shellshock and then locked in a Border City Stretch to finally defeat Lethal and make another successful defense of the Pure Wrestling Title.

Alex Shelley retains the ROH Pure Wrestling Title by submission in 13:02

The Necro Butcher w/Lacey vs BJ Whitmer

This match was nothing more than a brawl! BJ and Necro started the match and ended the match in an all-out slugfest. Lacey did her best to cheer on her man for the evening but Necro showed that he was more interested in causing pain then he was the words of encouragement from Lacey. Necro took a huge advantage by bodyslamming BJ onto the steel barricade multiple times and delivering a thunderous chair shot to BJ’s head. Lacey even got a few shots in herself by slapping BJ across the face and even a kick to the groin! The crowd was shocked when Daizee Haze ran down to the ring to even the odds a bit and even began to exchange shots with Lacey in the ring! Daizee knocked Lacey out of the ring…only to be met by Necro who bodyslammed her hard onto the mat! BJ got back into the ring and charged Necro. He finally finished off the match with a huge Exploder Suplex onto a chair to keep Necro down long enough for a three count!

Jimmy Jacobs and Adam Pearce stormed the ring and once more it was a two on one assault on BJ! Jimmy even had a chain in his hands once more and used it to open up BJ! Lacey got back into the ring and began to slap the hell out of BJ as he was being held by Jimmy and Adam. She looked at Jimmy and said “Do it!” Jimmy put BJ on his stomach, put the chain in his mouth and began to pull back! Lacey taunted BJ over and over as Jimmy pulled back hard, torqueing the upper back and neck of BJ! Finally, Colt Cabana, Delirious, and The Irish Airborne ran from the back help stop the assault on BJ. Lacey and her men bailed from the ring and left through the crowd. Once again, BJ was hurt and Lacey had made her point to try and take him out of the company.

BJ Whitmer wins by pinfall in 8:31

Homicide w/Julius Smokes vs Adam Pearce

Despite being involved in the beatdown before, Pearce had a match to focus on and it was against a very bad man named Homicide. After witnessing what had happened before, Homicide looked to take the match to Pearce and that is exactly what he did. It wasn’t quite the brawl that the last match was, but both men duked it out and showed that they could brawl as well as make the match a technical match. Pearce did his best to try and cheat during the course of the contest, which led to Homicide even pulling out the Ghetto Fork to threaten him. Paul Turner took it from his, leading to Adam Pearce low blowing Homicide and regaining control. He applied a variety of old-school submission holds, leading the fans to berate him with chants of ‘boring’. He laughed and smiled the whole time and continued with a Camel Clutch Submission. Pearce continued to taunt the fans the whole time he held onto Homicide, but it eventually was his downfall! Homicide fought back and looked to have had the match won following an Ace Krusher! Pearce showed that he was no pushover and kicked out at two! Julius Smokes got onto the apron and distracted Paul Turner, allowing Homicide to pull out a second fork! When Pearce got back to his feet, Homicide began to tear into him with the fork! Turned turned back around and Homicide did his best to keep the fork concealed. He tossed hit aside and hit a Cop Killa! He covered a now bleeding Pearce and picked up the three count!

Homicide stood in the ring and celebrated with Julius Smokes, but the celebrations were cut short when Low Ki’s music once again interrupted a Homicide moment. He made his was down to the ring and the two men stood in the ring, going nose to nose with one another. They began to exchange words and everyone could tell that things were beginning to get heated. Smokes tried to come between two men that he called friends and pushed Homicide back. Knowing that this could be potentially a volatile situation, ROH officials came down to the ring and separated the two men. Homicide got a mic and kept it short and sweet.

Homicide – “One day, I will get you motha f****!”

The fans erupted with cheers! Low Ki had to be restrained even more after becoming enraged at Homicide’s challenge.

Homicide wins by pinfall in 11:42

Colt Cabana vs Jimmy Jacobs w/Lacey vs AJ Styles vs Kevin Steen

Yet another star studded Four Corner Survival on a ROH card, and it actually ended up turning into a Triple Threat Match. A wounded BJ Whitmer came down to the ringside area and began to brawl with Jimmy Jacobs before the bell could even ring! He left his mark with a Wrist Clutch Exploder onto the steel ramp! He went after Lacey but multiple officials and ROH students restrained him from getting to her once more. After the dust settled, the match began as a Triple Threat Match. Kevin Steen more than held his own against the seasoned ROH competitors and even took control of Cabana early on, after Styles was knocked to the outside. Styles leapt back in by jumping onto the top rope and clotheslined both men. Cabana and Styles then began to double team the Kingdom member and executed a number of double team moves to try and incapacitate him the best that they could. Cabana shoved AJ aside and looked to set Steen up for a Colt .45. AJ ran to the ropes and caught Cabana in his Lionsault DDT! He covered and only got a two count. Steen got back to his feet and turned AJ around and nailed him with a Package Piledriver! He hooked AJ’s leg 1…2……3! The crowd was in shock! No one thought that the newcomer would pick up the victory, especially against ‘The Phenomenal One’! Steen smiled and left the ring despite being booed by some of the fans.

Kevin Steen wins by pinfall in 15:48

Ultimate Endurance Match for the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championship

1st Fall – Scramble Match

2nd Fall – Submission Match

3rd Fall – ROH Tag Team Championship Match

Austin Aries and Roderick Strong© vs The Havana Pitbulls vs The Irish Airborne vs Matt Sydal and Jack Evans

Fall 1

The first fall was insane and chaotic! All 8 men were in the ring during this fall, with The Airborne and Sydal and Evans performing many and well executed dives to the outside of the ring and putting their bodies on the line to try and make it one fall closes to becoming the tag team champions. Romero and Reyes did what they could to try and keep the other men grounded with kicks and strikes, but they were clearly targeted by many of the fan favorites. The Airborne took the Pitbulls outside and that led to all four members of Generation Next in the ring against each other. They all nodded and the fans erupted when they started to exchanged punches, kicks and chops! It was the first time that they had been against each other like this and the fans were eating it up. Before they could get to far, the Pitbulls came back in an began to take all three men out with vicious kicks! Dave and Jake got back into the ring and double teamed Romero out of the ring and turned their attention to Reyes! They set him up and dropped him with an Irish Curse and pinned him to eliminate the Pitbulls from the match! The fans were stunned and cheered for the Airborne after their shock elimination.

Fall 2

The match began to take more a traditional Three-Way tag team match after the Pitbulls were finally escorted from the ringside area. Strong stayed in for quite some time with Jack Evans, looking to beat him enough to get a submission decision out of him. Jack wisely tagged out and the Airborne began to double team Roderick, continuing their impressive showing thus far in the show. Roderick tagged in Aries and like a ball of fire, he cleaned house and even took Sydal and Evans off of the apron one right after the other. Jake and Dave fought back and now began to double team Aries, which led to Strong getting into the ring. Sydal and Evans wisely stayed outside and let the other two teams wear each other down. Aries eliminated Dave from the match with a massive Brainbuster! Strong took Jack out with a series of back breakers and locked in the Stronghold submission hold! He finally succumbed to the pain and tapped out, getting the and his brother eliminated. The fans got to their feet and applauded the Airborne for how they performed tonight.

Fall 3

Strong and Aries stood united in the ring and challenged their Generation Next stable mates to get into the ring and finish the match. They did and once again it was on. All four men, despite their massive amount of respect for each other, went all out against each other and did their best to try and take the other team out. Sydal took Aries out of the ring and aided Evans in his efforts against Strong. They pulled off tandem suplexes and bounced off the ropes and both caught Strong with a double Dropkick. They even tried to ‘one up’ the other. Sydal did a Standing Moonsault onto Roderick while Jack did a Standing Corkscrew Splash onto Roderick! The fans applauded both men…but Austin Aries wasn’t impressed at all! He charged into the ring and caught Sydal in the jaw with a stiff running Forearm Strike! Jack fought back against Aries and did his best to try and get him back out of the ring. He put Aries in the corner and back up to the opposite corner. He ran at him but was cut off by Roderick who caught him with massive kick! Evans was laid out! Roderick picked him up and planted him with a Gibson Driver and then brought Sydal over and gave him one as well! He laid Sydal on him as Aries got onto the top rope! Aries came off and did a 450 Splash onto both men! He covered them both and got the three count to win the match and retain the Tag Titles!

Austin Aries and Roderick Strong retain the ROH Tag Team Titles by pinfall in 19:58

KENTA and Taiji Ishimori vs Jay and Mark Briscoe

KENTA and the younger Ishimori stayed in their corner and conversed in Japanese to try and prep themselves for this match against one of the best tag teams on the independent circuit. KENTA and Jay started off against each other and they went at each other much like they did in Detroit. Jay tried to get the upperhand early on, but KENTA was able to absorb the early punishment and take the match right to Jay. A quick blind tag to allow Mark into the match, the Briscoes took an early advantage and double teamed KENTA. They backed him into a corner and both of them unloaded a flurry of chops to the chest of KENTA. Ishimori jumped in and grabbed Mark and executed a beautiful Dragon Suplex! Jay turned around and attempted a Yakuza Kick, but Ishimori ducked and instead caught him with a Running Enziguri! Both Briscoes went outside to regroup and strategize their next attack. Ishimori looked at KENTA, and KENTA nodded. Ishimori bounced off the ropes and lept over the top onto both Briscoes! The match made its way back into the ring with the Japanese workers retaining much of the control and kept Mark on their side of the ring. KENTA applied a variety of holds that stretched Mark in many unnatural ways, but wouldn’t for anything break his resolve. Jay entered illegally and knocked Taiji off the apron before delivering a Yakuza Kick to KENTA. This allowed Mark to get back to his side of the ring and tag in Jay. By this time Ishimori got back into the ring only to be taken down by a tandem Shoulder Block from the Briscoes. KENTA got back to his feet and began to kick at both men, fighting them off in a valiant effort! Todd Sinclair lost all control of who was the legal man with all four men doing what they could to try and get the win for their respective team. KENTA put Mark in the corner and went for a Running Knee Strike but Mark was able to move and catch KENTA with a Cutthroat Suplex! Ishimori did his best to take the initiative and assault Mark. Jay grabbed Ishimori and nailed him with a J-Driller! Both Briscoes got to the top ropes and landed a Leg Drop/Shooting Star Combination! Jay covered him for the three count!

Jay and Mark Briscoe win by pinfall in 21:12

Street Fight

Samoa Joe and Christopher Daniels vs The Kings of Wrestling

All four men stood in the ring and stared each other down. The bell rang and Joe ran at Hero and began to assault him, while Daniels squared off against Claudio. Weapons didn’t become an issue right away, but after a few moments all hell broke loose. Joe introduced a chair into the match, but Hero did his best to keep away from Joe. Claudio slammed Daniels into the ringside barricade and stalked Joe. He swiftly kicked Joe in the crotch from behind, allowing himself and Hero to double team him. They took Joe back into the ring and Claudio held Joe for Hero. Hero reared back with the chair and swung. Joe was able to break free, allowing Hero to drill Daniels with the chair. Joe then caught Hero with a Pele Kick as Daniels got back into the ring with a cut on his back from the barricade. Daniels brought in with him a table and propped it up against the turnbuckle and turned his attention back to Claudio. He placed him on the table while Joe picked up Hero. They both Irish Whipped him head over heels into Claudio and through the table! Joe and Daniels took in the praise and cheers of the fans and kept up the assault. Joe left the ring to look for more weapons under the ring and tossed in a trash can and pulled out a baseball bat with barbed wire on it that sent the fans into a frenzy! Joe grinned an evil grin and rolled back into the ring. Daniels put Hero on his knees in front of Joe as Joe measured him as if Hero’s head was a t-ball stand! Ever the quick thinker, Hero quickly got to his feet and thumbed the eyes of Joe and began to fight back against Daniels. He DDTed Daniels onto the chair in the ring and then had a tug-o-war with Joe for the baseball bat. Claudio came to and grabbed the trash can and once more caught Joe from behind with a wicked shot from the trash can. Hero finally gained control of the bat and turned his attention to Chris Daniels. He sat him up and held the barbed wire against his head and began to dig it into his skin, breaking his skin and causing the blood to flow. Hero had a grin on his face the whole time he applied the barbed wire on Daniels and even taunted him as he did so. He got up and held the bat over his head. Joe got to his hands and knees and looked over to his partner getting destroyed by the Kings, only to be kicked back down by both Claudio and Hero. Hero began to shout at the ROH fans “Here is your hero! This is Samoa Joe!” The fans booed him and began to urge Joe back to his feet. Their encouragement helped and Joe got a massive burst of adrenaline and got back to his feet and darted towards Hero! He took him down, causing him to lose the bat and mounted him, unloading rights and lefts to his body and face. Claudio tried to help but Joe got back to his feet and unleashed hell on him as well. He tossed Claudio out of the ring and followed up on his advantage. He put Claudio in a chair and gave him an Ole Ole Kick1 Joe did this three more times, stopping back each corner of the barricade as he made his way around the ring. Now Claudio was opened up and left on the ground in a bloody mess. Hero yelled at Joe and Joe watched on as Hero gave Daniels and massive Hero’s Welcome and kicked him out of the ring. Hero then challenged Joe to get back into the ring and Joe obliged. They two stood in the middle of the ring and exchanged rights and lefts, just like many of the fans have wanted to see since The 100th Show! Joe got the upperhand, being the superior striker. He grabbed Hero and set him up for an Island Driver! He planted it and covered him for only a 2 count! Joe put Hero in the corner and gave him a flurry of punches to the gut and open handed strikes to the face. A series of “Joe, Joe, Joe” chants rang throughout the armory as Joe kept up his advantage. Joe turned around and was met by a bloody Claudio who drilled him with a European Uppercut! Both Hero and Claudio were visibly worn down but continued their effort to take down Joe. Claudio picked Joe up and set him up for a Riccola Bomb! He lifted the big man up and nailed it! He covered him 1…2…but Daniels made the save at the last second! Hero grabbed Daniels and began to get him with repeated elbows to the open wound on the forehead of Daniels. He gave him Claudio who grabbed Daniels’ legs and began to give him a Big Swing! After a couple revolutions, Hero drilled Daniels with a chair to the side of the head! Joe made one last attempt to win the match but was taken advantage of by the numbers game. Hero grabbed Joe and executed a Hero’s Welcome. He covered Joe and once again pinned him to the mat for a 3-count!

Once again Hero and Claudio got the better of Samoa Joe and the fans let them hear exactly what they thought of them. And to his credit, Hero let them know just what he thought of them by motioning for them all to kiss his ass and by giving them the finger back.

Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnolli win by pinfall in 23:47

Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship Match

Bryan Danielson© vs Low Ki

To say that this match was highly anticipated was an understatement. Danielson may not have been defending the belt in the most honorable of ways as of late, but all of those cheap tricks and roll ups were not going to work against an opponent the caliber of Low Ki. Ki himself was not highly liked by many on the ROH roster or in the ROH fanbase due to his actions over the last few years, but that did not take away from the fact he was an incredible competitor. Nigel McGuinness came down to ringside and sat at the timekeepers table to watch the match, knowing that when he was healthy, he would habe a match against possibly one of these two men. The two began the match with a very slow and methodical pace, trying to feel out the other one in the early exchanges. They both countered the others moves and found a counter the others counter, continuously evolving their style of wrestling to match their opponent. Low Ki delivered a hard chop to Dragon’s chest to fire the first shot of the match, only for Dragon to deliver one back himself. It then turned into a chopfest that Ric Flair or Roderick Strong would have been proud to be in the middle of, and one that Low Ki did take the advantage of. He backed Danielson into the corner and continued to unleash his fury onto the chest of the champion. Danielson grabbed the back of Ki’s head and put him in the corner and delivered a series of European Uppercuts that rattled Low Ki. Once he was done with those he forearmed Low Ki as well. Ki blocked one and slapped Danielson hard across the face, knocking him back slightly. This allowed Low Ki to hop onto the second rope and catch Danielson with a vicious kick to the head. Danielson went to the ground Ki covered only for a one count. Low Ki quickly applied a Cross Arm Breaker to Danielson and looked to get a submission victory early. Danielson was able to get to the ropes and break the hold before Low Ki could even lock it in properly. Ki was quick to get back to his feet and attempted to stomp in the champion, but Dragon rolled out of the ring. After the opening five or ten minutes of neither man gaining the advantage, the two traded long periods of dominance. Low Ki attempted the Dragon Sleeper on multiple occasions but the World Champion would get his hand in between his chin and Low Ki’s arm. Both men were giving it their all and gave their opponent all of their signature moves, but it was not enough to keep either man down. Danielson set Low Ki up on the top rope and went for a Super Back Body Drop, only to see Low Ki reverse it midair and land on top of him! Low Ki covered him and only got a two count. This time Low Ki quickly grabbed the arm of Danielson and once more went for a Cross Arm Breaker! Danielson was nowhere near the ropes and couldn’t stop Low Ki from locking it in! Ki pulled and yanked on Danielson’s arm, hoping to regain the World Title he lost nearly four years ago, but Danielson would not give away the belt. He tried to fight back to his feet but Ki used his leg strength to keep him down. Danielson eventually wiggled his way across the ring and put his foot on the bottom rope and Ki broke the hold. Dragon rolled outside and held onto his arm, the damage clearly being done. Ki got onto the apron and waited for Danielson to turn around and when he did, he field goal kicked him right into the chest…but Danielson held onto his leg! Dragon pulled Low Ki off the apron and Ki landed hard on the apron. Dragon unloaded a series of kicks on the back of Low Ki and then tossed him hard into the steel barricade. He grabbed him again and tossed him hard once more into the barricade. Danielson moved his arm around a little to try and see if how much he could move it. Danielson rolled Low Ki back into the ring and planted him with a Regal Plex into a pinning combination, but Low Ki kicked out at 2. Dragon then rolled Ki over and began to unleash the MMA elbows that he has become so famous for in recent months. Danielson got to over two dozen shots before Low Ki used it to psyche himself up and begin to fight back against him. Ki got back to his feet and the two exchanged kicks with the other, aiming at the thighs and ribs of their opponents. Ki caught Danielson in the arm that he had been working on earlier and bounced off the ropes and hit Danielson with a Cabo Kick! Ki covered and only got a two count. He drug Danielson over to the corner and set him up in a Tree of Woe and scaled the top rope! He lept and tried to connect with a Ghetto Stomp but Dragon was able to avoid it by laying straight back against the turnbuckle pads. Low Ki rolled as soon as he hit the ground, turned and kicked Danielson right in the temple! It was a loud and vicious kick, causing many of the fans to think that Bryan had been knocked out. Ki pulled him out of the corner and covered him, 1…2…but NO! Danielson got his shoulder up much to the surprise of Low Ki. Ki got him back up to his feet and put him on his shoulders and set him up for a Ki Crusher ’99! Dragon was able to get free and lock Low Ki for a Tiger Suplex. He went back and dropped Low Ki on the back of his head! He bridged for a cover and only got two, but Danielson held on and locked in Cattle Mutilation! Low Ki fought and fought and did his best to deny Danielson the submission victory that he was looking for. Dragon abandoned the move and lifted Low Ki back up to his feet. He delivered a second Tiger Suplex and went back to the MMA elbows! Before Todd Sinclair could call an end to the match Dragon rolled his challenger back over and went for Cattle Mutilation for a second time! Sinclair continued to check on Low Ki, but after a few minutes Low Ki wasn’t moving at all, leading to Sinclair calling an end to the match, awarding Danielson the victory!

It took Danielson a few minutes to get back to his feet after another hard earned victory and defense of the ROH World Championship. As Sinclair went to get the championship belt, Nigel McGuinness grabbed the belt himself and got out of his chair next to owner Cary Silkin. He got into the ring with the belt in his hand and waited for Danielson to get back to his feet. Danielson finally did and was taken aback by Nigel being in the ring. The two had a stare down for a couple of minutes before Nigel handed the World title over to the champion. Dragon accepted it hesitantly. He backed away slowly as “The Final Countdown” played in the Philadelphia Armory and Dragon left the ring, as always, proclaiming himself to be the ‘best in the world’.

ROH Newswire July 17, 2006

Death Before Dishonor was an incredible night of wrestling…if you weren't Samoa Joe or Christopher Daniels. The two are not pleased with how their Street Fight against The Kings of Wrestling went, but history will show that once again Joe was pinned by Chris Hero. Both will be in attendance in the double shot in two weeks time was we make our way back to the Midwest though, but more on that later. Joe has sent out a challenge to Chris Hero for one more match between the two men, no Chris Daniels and no Kingdom. Chris Hero has yet to respond to the challenge but when he does, we will make sure to let all of the fans know.

Back to the Double Shot, the first night in Dayton will have a massive and star studded Four Corner Survival. ROH World Champion Bryan Danielson will step in a ring with three top competitors in Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and Jerry Lynn! There is an added stipulation to this contest. IF the World Champion gets pinned, the man who pins him will receive a World Title shot in the future. IF Danielson gets a decision over any of the other three, the man he defeats will not get a title shot as long as Danielson is World Champion! So regardless, this could have huge implications on ROH for a few months.

Back at Ring of Homicide, Low Ki returned to ROH and confronted a man who he once called friend, and that man is Homicide. The two got face-to-face with each other this weekend at Death Before Dishonor IV and for the first time in ROH they will compete in a singles match! Homicide is angry and ready to take out his frustration on his former Rottweiler stable mate. And what role will the Pitbulls and even Julius Smokes play in this match?

Another match with World Title implications has been announced; a Battle Royal to determine the man who will face Bryan Danielson the next night in Cleveland has been signed! Jay Briscoes, Mark Briscoe, Colt Cabana, Jimmy Rave, Kevin Steen, Adam Pearce, Tony Mamaluke, Davey Richards, Pure Champion Alex Shelley, and Claudio Castagnolli have been signed to compete in the battle royal! 10 men will start, but only one will be the man to face off for the World Title on 7/29!

Ring of Honor Tag Team Champions Austin Aries and Roderick Strong are currently the longest reigning ROH Tag Team Champions in the history of our great company. And should they make it through the next four shows with the Tag Team titles still around their waists they will get the chance to turn them into WORLD Tag Team Titles. First though, they will defend the tag straps against a pissed off Ricky Reyes and Rocky Romero! The former champs may have been eliminated first this past weekend but have demanded a title shot and of course we were happy to oblige!

Chris Hero has been challenged by Lacey to do what couldn’t be done this weekend and that is take out BJ Whitmer! So the two will take one each other in singles competition with Lacey being at ringside in the corner of Chris Hero. Will she finally succeed in seeing BJ get taken out of ROH? Or will Whitmer continue to be resilient and fight against Lacey and her Angels

The Irish Airborne put on a hell of a performance in the Ultimate Endurance Match when they eliminated the Havana Pitbulls and came within two falls of becoming Tag Team Champions. Well now they will be tested against a very good tag team in Matt Sydal and Jack Evans. It should be a great match between two young tag teams in ROH.

Delirious was one of the men who helped put an end to the brutal beatdown BJ Whitmer was receiving at the hands of Jimmy Jacobs and Lacey. Now Jimmy wants his hands on Delirious and to show him that he shouldn’t have tread in ‘dark waters’ has Jimmy has put it.

Hey all, it has been crazy in my life with some work and VERY personal issues. I haven’t had time to write up the results for this last double shot so what I am gonna do is at least post the results, and then work hard to make August and September (which has GLORY BY HONOR 5!!!) an amazing two months!

Summer Showdown

July 28, 2006

Delirious def. Jimmy Jacobs by DQ after Jimmy and Adam Pearce both destroyed him. Lacey wanted Delirious taken out after he was one of the men involved in saving BJ Whitmer at the last show.

Matt Sydal and Jack Evans def, The Irish Airborne in a match that nearly stole the show!

Austin Aries and Roderick Strong def. The Havana Pitbulls to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles. After the match, it was announce that tomorrow night would see Strong and Aries defend the belts against Matt Sydal and Jack Evans in a match that would see the FINAL time the “Generation Next” name would be used in ROH.

Chris Hero def. BJ Whitmer after the match, Lacey came down to the ring and mocked BJ for his losing efforts against Hero, and announced that she has a temporary restraining order against him. He cannot touch her in anyway shape or form for the length of the order.

Low Ki def. Homicide after the Pitbulls attacked Julius Smokes and distracted Homicide. After the match, an angry Homicide got his fork out and went after Low Ki but couldn’t get near him. Homicide challenged Low Ki to one more match, but Low Ki refused.

Jay Briscoe won the #1 Contender’s Gauntlet Match and will face Bryan Danielson tomorrow night. The final three were Jay, Mark and Claudio Castagnolli.

Samoa Joe pinned Bryan Danielson in a Fatal Four Corner Survival Match to get a shot at the title on 8/5! Danielson was pissed and left the ring in anger.

Generation Next II: The Last Stand

July 29, 2006

Davey Richards def. Taiji Ishimori in an amazing opening match. (Id say a B- is a pretty good way to start a show with, at the time, lower card guys)

The Irish Airborne def. The Havana Pitbulls in an amazing result that sent waves throughout the tag team division.

Low Ki won a Four Corner Survival Match that also included Colt Cabana, Adam Pearce, and Delirious, the match also saw Lacey get in the face of Colt Cabana and Delirious for both of them helping BJ at Death Before Dishonor. This was all Ki needed to take out Delirious with a sick kick to the head.

BJ Whitmer and Jimmy Jacobs went to a Double DQ after Todd Sinclair was sent through a table! The two brawled all around the arena and even out onto the street outside! ROH officials and agents had to keep them apart before they killed one another.

Alex Shelley def. Christopher Daniels to retain the ROH Pure Title after the Kings of Wrestling distracted Daniels. Shelley has offered another match to Daniels, it is not clear when this match will take place, but we can assure you all that it will.

Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Homicide, and Jerry Lynn def. The Kingdom (Hero, Castagnolli, Necro, and Steen) in an 8-Man Elimination Match when ALL of the Kingdom were eliminated! After the match, AJ announced that the shows in August will be his last in ROH as he plans to move on with other ventures in his career. We all in ROH love AJ and wish him the best wherever it is that he decided to take his talents.

Bryan Danielson def. Jay Briscoe to retain the ROH World Title in a great back and forth match where Jay looked very close to winning the title on a couple of occasions, and even showed great heart by getting out of Cattle Mutilation twice.

Austin Aries and Roderick Strong def. Jack Evans and Matt Sydal to retain the ROH Tag Team Titles in a match that saw many near falls and the ‘last stand’ for Generation Next!

ROH Newswire August 1, 2006

Well after another great ROH Double Shot, we have another one scheduled for this weekend coming up! The 4th and 5th will have two awesome cards and be capped off with arguably one of the most highly anticipated World Title matches in the reign of the current champion!

But first, we are announcing that AJ Styles will be having his farewell tour with ROH in the upcoming shows! AJ has been an integral part to the ROH roster for many years and we were saddened to hear of this news. Over the next 5 shows, he will take part in various matches with his farewell being at the end of the month. This weekend though on 8/4, a night we have called ‘Before The Storm’ he will team with Homicide in a tag team match as they take on Low Ki and Rocky Romero! There is a huge issue between Ki and Homicide and AJ is looking to aid Homicide just like Homicide aided him back in ’03 at Wrath of the Racket!

World Champion Bryan Danielson will be involved in a Non-Title match on 8/4 against the up and coming Matt Sydal! Although the belt wont be on the line, we do expect a very intense and competitive match. And this leads us to…Samoa Joe vs Ricky Reyes! These two matches are considered to be warm-up matches for the next night when Danielson and Joe go one-on-one with the World Title on the line!

ROH Pure Champion Alex Shelley will have an interesting challenge from current ROH Tag Team Champion Austin Aries in what is sure to be another chapter in the long and storied rivalry between the two. He may be challenging for the Pure Title this weekend, but Austin Aries has not forgotten about the 1-Hour draw he had with Bryan Danielson a few months ago and will be looking for another shot at the World Title in the future.

Another huge DREAM MATCH has been signed and it will be KENTA (as he prepares for Bryan Danielson at Budoken Hall in one weeks time) against The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels! Both men have had amazing careers and this will be a first time ever in ROH meeting between the two. We expect an athletic contest and have already slated this to be the main event for the evening!

• A Triple Threat Tag Team #1 Contenders Match has been signed when The Kings of Wrestling, The Briscoes, and The Irish Airborne do battle to determine who will face Austin Aries and Roderick Strong in Budoken Hall when the Tag Team Titles are made into WORLD Tag Team Titles.

Lacey is hellbent to take out the men who aided BJ Whitmer back at Death Before Dishonor 4 and on 8/4 she will have a chance when Colt Cabana and Delirious take on Jimmy Jacobs and Adam Pearce in a No DQ Tag Team Match!

• And lastly, and interesting 6-Man Mayhem has been signed which will see ROH Tag Team Champion Roderick Strong, Davey Richards, Kevin Steen, BJ Whitmer, Jimmy Rave and Jack Evans do battle in what is sure to be a show stealing match!

Before The Storm

Long Island, NY

August 4, 2006

Pre-Show: Tyler Black def. Tony Mamaluke in 9:27 by pinfall (D)

Matt Sydal – “So I have been in ROH for a couple of years now. Not once have I received a World title match, h*** not even a Pure Title Match. So when I finally get the chance to step into the ring with the ROH World Champion, what do they do? They make it a non-title match. What does this tell me? That ROH officials may not have as much faith in me as I do. But what will I do? I will go out there and bust my a** and take the match to Bryan Danielson. And to the officials in the back, or whatever moron is making those matches…I WANT a World Title shot!”

Davey Richards vs Roderick Strong vs BJ Whitmer vs Jack Evans vs Kevin Steen vs Jimmy Rave w/Prince Nana

A 6-man Mayham was the perfect way to start off the event in Long Island, especially considering that involved 6 of the best that ROH has to offer. BJ Whitmer, Roderick Strong fellow ROH veteran Jimmy Rave were easily the three men favored to take the victory by many of the fans in the arena. 7 minutes into the match, Prince Nana distracted Davey Richards, allowing Rave to low blow him and take him to the outside so Nana could slap Davey across the face a few times. Davey would fight back and get his revenge by laying out Jimmy and chasing Nana around the ring and then eventually into the ring. He grabbed Nana and laid him out with a stiff DR-Driver, much to the happiness of the fans! Roderick and BJ were the two men in the ring towards the end of the match and both men looked to try and gain the victory for themselves. Steen made his way back into the ring and knocked Whitmer to the mat. Roderick quickly attacked Steen and locked him into the Stronghold! BJ, to his credit, got back to his feet and tossed Roderick out of the ring and executed an Exploder Suplex on Steen! He covered him and got the three count!

After the match, Lacey came down to the ring with the restraining order in hand and openly mocked BJ once more. She made her way down to the ring and got into his face.

Lacey – “Come on BJ…hit me! I know you want to, you r******* piece of trash! Everyone in this arena wants to see you touch me and have you’re a** sent to jail! Do it BJ! Do it!”

BJ was barely able to control himself, but he knew that in the end if he did lay hands on her then he would be thrown in jail. He left the ring, leaving Lacey in the ring berating him. He turned back to look at her and gave her a double middle finger…behind him though, Jimmy and Adam came from the back attacked him! The drug BJ into the middle of the ring and held him for him for Lacey once more. For the second time in a couple months Lacey took off her heel and prepared to drive it into the head of BJ Whitmer. Before she could strike, the unlikely heroes The Irish Airborne came down to the ring and saved BJ Whitmer once more from Lacey and her “angels”. They stood in the ring to make sure he got to his feet and shook his hands as they watched Lacey, Jacobs and Pearce and kept them out of the ring.

BJ Whitmer won a 6-Man Mayhem in 14:29

Samoa Joe vs Ricky Reyes

Joe was ready to warm-up for his HUGE match against Bryan Danielson tomorrow night by taking out a lot of his frustration and anger towards a laundry list of people in ROH on the poor Ricky Reyes, who was in the wrong place at the wrong time. To his credit though, Reyes did take the match to Joe and at some points dominated Joe with very stiff kicks and strikes that kept Joe on his toes and staggered back. Samoa Joe did prove to be too much and too strong for Reyes and his strikes took the match over, including a wicked slap across the face of Reyes that sent him down to the mat, with many thinking that Reyes had been knocked out. Joe did finish off Reyes with a Muscle Buster and locking in the Choke to insure that Reyes was finished off. Joe got to his feet and had his hand raised by the referee. He looked down into the camera and told Bryan Danielson that he was coming for him.

Samoa Joe wins by submission in 12:22

No DQ Match

Jimmy Jacobs and Adam Pearce vs Colt Cabana and Delirious

This match, being No Disqualification, never even looked like being a traditional tag team contest. Lacey was at ringside, and Jimmy made sure to protect her every time that Cabana and Delirious got anywhere near her. This match saw Jimmy introduce his vicious railroad spike, Pearce’s leather belt, multiple chairs, and even a ladder! Cabana and Jacobs both became bloody messes during the match. Cabana tried to end the match with a Colt .45 on Adam Pearce, but Lacey made her presence felt by distracting Cabana. Before Colt could make his way to Lacey, Jimmy Speared Cabana into the ladder, causing the ladder to bend behind the weight and momentum of both men! Delirious grabbed Pearce and looked to end it himself by applying the Cobra Stretch! Lacey would have the final say when hit Delirious with her heel, getting dangerously close to his eye! Pearce laid Delirious out with a Piledriver onto a chair to pick up the victory!

Medics ran out to the ring to check on Delirious. They wrapped up his face and helped him to the back with Cabana behind them to make sure his tag team partner was going to be okayl

Adam Pearce and Jimmy Jacobs win by pinfall in 11:47

ROH Tag Team Titles #1 Contenders Match

Jay and Mark Briscoe vs The Kings of Wrestling vs The Irish Airborne

The Irish Airborne had been making waves in ROH for the past couple of months with big pinfalls over former ROH Tag Team Champions the Havana Pitbulls, and by joining the efforts to help BJ Whitmer. They had been impressing ROH officials, and were seen as a team that could be tag team champions one day. The Kings of Wrestling and The Briscoes were veteran tag teams in the indie scene and were going to be stiff competition for each other and for the Airborne. All three teams were in the ring throughout the duration of the match and it was a wild and crazy affair. The match was NOT an elimination style match, this meant that the first fall would win the match, and they all were out to get that all important pinfall! The Airborne looked like they were going to get another very impressive and shocking victory when they hit Jay with a pair of Superkicks and laid out Mark with an Irish Curse (a spike tombstone)! Before they could make the pin attempt, Hero tossed Jake Crist out of the ring and Claudio laid out Dave Crist with a European Uppercut! They set him up for the KRS-1 finisher and emphatically got him with their signature team move! Claudio covered him and got the three count, making them the number one contenders to the tag titles for the event coming up in Japan!

The Kings of Wrestling won by pinfall in 19:09

Non-Title

Bryan Danielson vs Matt Sydal

ROH officials meant no disrespect to Matt Sydal when this match was made a non-title match, but of course that didn’t stop his rant at the beginning of the show. In the beginning, he started off very hot headed and determined, but Danielson was able to use it against him and cause him to rush into submission holds and pin attempts. Sydal rolled out of the ring and was extremely pissed at himself for getting into the situations he was getting in. After he calmed himself, he was able to force Danielson into a very athletic and tightly contested match, one that Danielson was not expecting. Sydal took to the air on numerous occasions and kept himself off the mat as much as he could, knowing that Danielson definitely had the advantage when it came down to that. It became apparent to the World Champion that he would need to keep him grounded and began to focus on Sydal’s legs in order to keep him from flying. Sydal almost had the champion pinned on a couple of occasions, but none were more closer than when Sydal came off the top with a beautiful Shooting Star Press! He covered Danielson but only got a VERY close two count. Danielson finished off Sydal with the move that actually won him the World title, the Cross Face Chicken Wing! He locked it in right in the middle of the ring and Sydal had no choice but to tap out.

Bryan Danielson wins by submission in 18:07

Low Ki and Rocky Romero vs AJ Styles and Homicide w/Julius Smokes

This may have been one of the last matches AJ Styles was going to have in an ROH ring, but that didn’t stop Low Ki and Rocky Romero from making the match about them. Low Ki and Homicide got in the faces of one another and quickly Low Ki ducked out of the ring to avoid him, allowing Romero to jump in and attack Homicide. It was a great back and forth match with one of the highlights being Low Ki and AJ chopping one another back and forth much like a match from promotions and workers past. Both of them had beat red chests when it was all said and done and the fans showed their appreciation for their exchange. Julius Smokes was brought into the match by Romero when he looked to attempt to take off his head with a kick. But Homicide quickly tackled Romero to the mat and began to pummel him with a fury of rights and lefts. Low Ki got involved and grabbed Smokes himself. He began to trash talk him but AJ grabbed Low Ki and set him up for a Styles Clash and nailed it! Homicide asked to finish him off and hit Ki with a Cop Killa! Homicide rolled Low Ki over and pinned him!

Ki and Romero left the ring, which allowed Homicide to thank AJ for being his partner and left him in the ring by himself. AJ asked for a mic to address the ROH faithful. A few people called him a sellout, but those were quickly ‘smacked down’ by other ROH fans.

AJ Styles – “This is a hard thing for me to do in my career, but if anyone else out there has had to make a difficult decision for their family and do what they felt was best for them, then h*** yeah I am a sellout.” The fans laughed and taunted those who mocked AJ. “I wanted to thank everyone of you fans for standing next to AJ Styles for all of these years here in ROH and for following my career. I will never forget anyone of you and I will never forget my time here with this company. There is one man that I want to face before I leave this company, and that man is “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels. So this is a gentleman’s challenge to you Chris. My last match here in Ring of Honor, I want to be you. The ball is in your court.”

A chant of “Thank you AJ” rang throughout the arena and the fans stood up and applauded “The Phenomenal One” and showed their appreciation for his efforts and talents in Ring of Honor.

AJ Styles and Homicide win by pinfall in 21:07

Ring of Honor Pure Wrestling Championship

Alex Shelley© vs Austin Aries

There was no need for any of the announcers or any of the ROH historians to go into any great detail about the rivalry between Shelley and Aries and their long list of matches over the last year and a half. This was just going to be yet another installment in a very competitive rivalry that ROH has been built on. This time, Aries was playing the unfamiliar role of challenger in his ROH career and in a match against Shelley. There was no handshake between the two and the match was on like a flash! Counterholds and creative counter to the counterholds and perfectly timed escapes were enough proof to the fans of the athletic competition in ROH and how well these two knew each other. Shelley, getting very well accustomed to the Pure Wrestling rules, continued to use them to his advantage and was able to make Aries use his first rope break early in the match. Aries was quick to adapt and put Shelley on the back foot by quickly forcing him to use two rope breaks in quick succession! Shelley was not happy with how the match was going and began to wrestle a much more aggressive style. The two rivals picked up the pace towards the end of the match as they looked to secure the victory and leave with the Pure Title. Aries looked to put Shelley away with a Brainbuster, but Shelley quickly reversed it and snapped off a quick Shellshock that came out of nowhere! It was enough to pin Aries for the three count, catching most of the crowd and Aries off guard! Shelley looked at the ref and wasn’t even sure he got the win, but Paul Turner assured him that he did. Aries had a small look of dejection on his face as Shelley celebrated with the Pure Title.

Alex Shelley retains the ROH Pure Wrestling Title by pinfall in 19:44

Dream Match

Christopher Daniels vs KENTA

It was a dream match that ROH fans were overly hyped about. Both men had mirrored careers; Daniels was an American star that worked in Japan and KENTA was a Japanese star working in America. Both men, having mastered the Junior style of wrestling, looked to start the match off quickly and fast paced. They both knew what the other would do before they did it and were able to counter many of the holds that the other would throw out at them. Daniels, being the veteran of the two, was able to slow the match down and dictate the pace, forcing KENTA to work a slower paced match. KENTA was able to evolve his style and begin to take the match back to Daniels. It was a human chess match and both men were not willing to back down from the other. Daniels locked in the Koji Clutch, but it was a little too early for it and KENTA was able to get to the ropes and force him to break the hold. Daniels attempted many of his other signature moves but KENTA was wise to everyone of them, until Daniels was able to hit him with the Last Rites! He hooked the near leg and only got a two count! KENTA fought back and was able to get Daniels up on his shoulders in a Firemans Carry and caught Daniels on the chin with the Go To Sleep! He covered him but somehow Daniels was able to kick out! KENTA and the rest of the ROH fans were stunned by what they saw! Daniels was, at that point, the only man in ROH to so far kick out of the Go To Sleep! Daniels got a second win and exerted what energy he had left to try and take back control of the match. Daniels dropped KENTA with an STO and went for the Best Moonsault Ever! He leapt up the ropes but KENTA moved out of the way before he could become a victim of the move. Daniels landed on his feet, but was caught on the side of the head with a sick Running Knee from KENTA! He picked Daniels up once more and got him with a second Go To Sleep! He covered Daniels and got the three count!

KENTA waited around until Daniels got back to his feet and offered his hand to him out of respect. Daniels shook it and raised KENTA’s hand. It was an all-around awesome was to end the night.

KENTA wins by pinfall in 34:17

Hey everyone. I wanted you all to know that my posts may be slow. My wife and I have decided that it is right for us to get a divorce. Sorry if that is sad and ruins some moods lol, but just consider my day when she sent me the text. I will do what I can as I will transferring data to a new computer and all of that good stuff. Unless people just aren't reading this, then if that is the case I will simply shut it down and move on in another area of my life lol.

I'd really like some feedback from those who keep reading this. I have ideas and would like to see this continue to go. Thanks all

Sorry to hear about the divorce, and the fact that it came via a text message. But I enjoy this dynasty. I don't predict because I know nothing about ROH 2006, but if you have ideas and want to keep it going, then I think you should. People will always be reading :)

ROH Newswire August 5, 2006

Tonight is arguably one of the biggest events in ROH this calendar year! And no, it isn’t Death Before Dishonor, Glory By Honor, or the Anniversary show. It is Danielson vs Joe! Bryan Danielson and Samoa Joe will step into the ring with each other for the rights to be called the Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Champion! Samoa Joe won the rights to this match at a Four Corner Survival back at Summer Showdown on July 17th, and will now look to become a 2-time ROH World Champion. Will be the man to make history? Or will Bryan Danielson head into the show at Budoken Hall as World Champion?

Speaking of Budoken Hall, KENTA will be teaming with the young man he has taken in as a protégé, Taiji Ishimori against the new #1 contenders for the ROH Tag Team Championship, Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnolli! This promises to be an awesome international tag team contest with both teams looking to get momentum going into their respective matches next weekend.

We do regret to inform ROH fans, Low Ki and Rocky Romero will not be in Edison. Romero will meet up the ROH roster and staff next week in Japan. Low Ki will do so also, but he has been suspended for the night. Last night, after the show, Ki found Julius Smokes in the locker room and assaulted him! ROH officials will not tolerate this behavior and have suspeneded him for the night without pay. He will be in attendance for a match in Japan next week however.

AJ Styles announced that he will be leaving Ring of Honor at the end of the month and bring an end to his storied career with the company. He is looking to go out with a bang here in ROH and one way he is looking to do that is by wrestling a man who has pinned him recently in ROH, and that man is The Kingdom’s Kevin Steen! Will lightning strike twice, or will AJ be able to get the win back as he looks to finish his ROH career?

For all those who do not know, there was a shocking incident last night where Jimmy Jacobs almost took the sight of Delirious with a railroad spike! This, and other actions of Jimmy Jacobs has shocked many officials in ROH and we are very disappointed with him and with Lacey for continuing to encourage him. Jimmy has been fined for his actions…but the worst of the punishment may come tonight when Delirious challenges Jacobs to a No DQ match! Delirious has left voicemail after voicemail for ROH Match Producer Shane Richards and the only thing Shane was able to get from the voicemails was ‘eye for an eye’. This could be a very volatile situation when the two men step into the ring in Edison, NJ!

• With our eyes on Lacey and her Angels, Adam Pearce will be taking on Colt Cabana in singles competition. Despite her real issue being with BJ Whitmer, she is not happy with Cabana, Delirious and the Irish Airborne for trying to help BJ back at Death Before Dishonor.

ROH Tag Team Champions Austin Aries and Roderick Strong will team up with Christopher Daniels in a 6-Man Tag Team Match against Jay and Mark Briscoe (who are due a tag team title shot) and ROH Pure Wrestling Champion Alex Shelley. Shelley and Daniels will be booked for a Pure title match in the near future, so make sure to keep on rohwrestling.com for updates.

• A Four Corner Survival has been signed for Edison, Homicide, BJ Whitmer, Ricky Reyes, and Jimmy Rave will be the four combatants as all four men are in need of a win in the company.

• Last and certainly not least, Matt Sydal has asked ROH officials for a rematch against Davey Richards and ROH officials have granted it. Davey got the win the last time the two men met and Sydal will be looking to get his win back.

OOC: So bringing out “my character” as an on-screen character will, I think, bring an extra dimension to the shows and bring a little bit for fire to the feuds, much like Cornette did in ’06.

Danielson vs Joe

Edison, NJ

August 5, 2006

Before the event began, Bobby Cruise announced to the ROH fans that the new Ring of Honor Commissioner Shane Richards was making his way to the ring to address some of the situations in Ring of Honor currently. He shook Bobby’s hand and took the mic from him.

Richards – “Good evening everyone, and welcome to Danielson vs Joe!” This led to a massive roar from the ROH faithful and started a ROH chant. “Before we get to the real reason all of you are hear, which is the wrestling, I need to address the situation between Lacey and Lacey’s Angels and those who are standing up against her. Last night, Jimmy Jacobs almost took out the eye of Delirious with a railroad spike, and it was a situation that was very scary for all involved and for ROH officials. Lucky, there was no real damage to Delirious’ eye, except some damage around his eye ball. As a precaution he will be wearing an eye patch tonight, but that’s only a small part of this issue. The fact is, this situation involving Lacey and Jimmy is getting out of hand. We have seen chains, spikes, tables be used and there have been wrestlers and referees alike been hurt or attacked in the process. As the commissioner of this company, I am to make sure that the wrestlers involved and their safety is top priority. That is why the Jimmy Jacobs and Delirious match will NOT be sanctioned by ROH tonight. Both men have signed waivers and if they are injured in anyway, it will NOT be the fault of ROH or on our hands at all. I want to see this situation end soon and…” Before he could finish, he was cut off by the shrill voice of Lacey.

Lacey – “Bleeding hearts in Ring of Honor unite!” She mockingly applauded him. “This is a business Mr. Richards and you need to see it that way. Lacey’s Angels is my property and I don’t want you to forget that. IF any harm comes to my investment Jimmy Jacobs tonight, you will be hearing from my lawyers before the end of the show. And another thing Mr. Richards, I hear the rumors going on around from all the big wigs here in ROH, they blame me for Jimmy’s actions. At the end of the day, Jimmy is a man capable of making up his own mind. This beef I have with BJ Whitmer, if you recall, was because he hurt me back at the 100th Show. So excuse me for wanting some muscle to protect me.”

Shane – “I am glad you have some muscle Lacey, but Jimmy doesn’t need a railroad spike or to try and seriously injure the men on this roster.”

Lacey – “But BJ Whitmer can give me an exploder suplex? I see how it is Mr. Richards. Keep this in mind, I will have my revenge and I will be executing another of my plans here soon. I have very rich family members and they have been keeping an eye on Ring of Honor. If you want to keep your job, I suggest you show me a little respect. Or I will make sure my ‘investments’ beat it into you.” Jimmy Jacobs and Adam Pearce came into ring from the crowd and cornered Shane Richards into a corner. “They are very loyal to money and to me Mr. Richards. Please don’t force my hand here.” Before anything happened to them, Delirious came darting from the back, bumping into Lacey and getting into the ring. He quickly tossed Pearce out of the ring who was grabbed by officials and other wrestlers and drug to the back. Shane Richards stayed in the ring to act as the referee and called for the bell to start this ‘non-sanctioned’ match.

Non-Sanctioned Match

Delirious vs Jimmy Jacobs

Both men were looking to tear one another apart and since this was non-sanctioned and No DQ, they had the liberty to do so. Delirious was wearing an eye patch just like Shane said he would. But that didn’t stop from giving 100% against Jimmy. It didn’t take long for weapons to be brought into the match. Delirious brought out a steel chair and swung for the fences, looking to take off Jimmy’s head but he missed on each occasion. Lacey made her presence known throughout the match by giving Jimmy weapon after weapon, allowing him to have the advantage for most of the contest. Shane, to his credit, finally ejected Lacey from the ringside area much to her and Jacobs’ chagrin. This allowed Delirious to once again take the advantage. He speared Jimmy and checked his boots and found the same railroad spike that almost caused him to lose his vision! Jimmy begged for his life but that didn’t stop the crazy masked man from hitting Jimmy in the forehead with it multiple times! Jimmy began to bleed severely from his wounds and once again tried to beg Delirious to stop. Finally, a hint of conscious took over and Delirious paused before he struck Jimmy again. A low-blowed followed and Jimmy grabbed the spike from him. He motioned to the fans that he was going to try and injure the other eye of Delirious, but before he could, BJ Whitmer appeared in his street clothes and clotheslined him! The fans went nuts as he picked him up and gave him an Exploder Suplex! Delirious got up and locked in the Cobra Stretch! Shane checked on Jimmy and called for the bell when he thought he couldn’t continue, giving Delirious the win!

Lacey ran down to the ring with Adam Pearce to check on Jimmy as BJ and Delirious left to head to the back. Lacey got up in the face of Shane and began to yell at him and telling him that this was all his fault. She slapped him a couple of times and turned to Pearce. He nodded and grabbed Shane and gave him a Piledriver in the middle of the ring! Jimmy have lost the match, but Lacey made damn sure that she made the final statement.

Delirious wins by submission in 14:11

Davey Richards vs Matt Sydal

Matt Sydal was hell bent on getting his win back over Davey Richards, and to get back on winning ways in ROH. Davey took the early advantage with a serious of wicked kicks to Sydal’s chest and legs and a variety of strikes. Sydal was able to bounce back though began to work over the leg of Davey to stop him from continuing to kick him and put a dent in many of the moves that Davey prefers to use. Davey was able to show knowledge way beyond his years and find other ways to take down Matt and even at one point turned the match into a game of chess by utilizing a variety of submission holds to try and keep Matt Sydal at bay. Sydal was able to counter all of that though by going to the air on multiple occasions and used his speed to keep Davey at a distance and not get near any holds or strikes. To finally get back on winning ways, Sydal was able to counter a DR-Driver with a Brainbuster, and head to the top rope and connect with one of the best looking Shooting Star Presses in the industry! He hooked the near leg of Davey and was able to get the three count!

Matt Sydal wins by pinfall in 11:08

Four Corner Survival

BJ Whitmer vs Homicide vs Ricky Reyes vs Jimmy Rave

A very entertaining Four Corner Survival for the Edison fans showcased again why ROH is the top indie promotion in the US today. Jimmy Rave was acting very indifferent tonight, not having Nana with him at ringside at all, and continually keeping his eyes on BJ. And of course there was the little issue of Homicide and the Rottweilers and everytime he was in the ring with Reyes, he turned the intensity up quite a bit. Whenever Reyes was in the ring with Whitmer though, Jimmy would do what he could to help double team him and he began to focus on the ankle and foot of BJ, setting him up possibly for his new heel hook submission hold. The match completely broke down and all four competitors fought in and out of the ring. BJ looked to win the match when he set Ricky Reyes up for a Wrist Clutch Exploder! But before he could, Rave got back into the ring with a Steel Chair and hit BJ in the ankle with it! He quickly did it another half a dozen times before locking in the Heel Hook! BJ got to the ropes but Jimmy would not let go for anything! Todd Sinclair tried his best to get Jimmy off, but he finally let go after Homicide came in and stomped on his face. Homicide would finally put an end to the match after a Cop Killa on Reyes and getting the all-important three count!

After the match, BJ laid on the mat holding his ankle, while officials and members of the ROH medical team checked on him. Jimmy Rave pushed all of them aside and once more locked in the Heel Hook submission hold. BJ was screaming out for him to let go of the hold but nothing would make him let go! After a few minutes of being in the hold, Jimmy let go and left the ring and was met by Lacey. He smiled and shook his hand and said to him, “Welcome to the Angels.”

Homicide wins by pinfall in 13:27

Colt Cabana vs Adam Pearce w/Lacey

Lacey and Adam Pearce were not in bright spirits at all after what happened to Jimmy Jacobs, although a Piledriver to ROH Commissioner Shane Richards did help extract a little bit of revenge for them. Cabana wasted little time in seeking revenge of his own as he skipped his normal ring entrance routine and darted into the ring and began to tee off on Pearce. Both men exchanged blows back and forth with referee Paul Turner trying to separate the two of them, only to be shoved aside as both men would not let up. There were periods of dominance for both men, with Cabana doing all he could to keep Lacey outside of the ring and limit her interference. She was able to get his attention as he went to finish Pearce off with a Colt .45, but all she got was a kiss from Cabana right on her lips for her troubles. Paul Turner got out of the ring and ejected her from the match! But all the while Adam Pearce reached into his trunks and pulled out a bag of powder and threw it into the eyes of Cabana! Temporarily blinded, Cabana succumbed to a low blow and an inside cradle, just in time for Paul Turner to reenter the ring and count the 3-count!

Adam joined Lacey at the top of the ramp with a smile on her face. They may have won the battle tonight, but everyone in New Jersey knew that the war was far from over.

Adam Pearce wins by pinfall in 11:45

Austin Aries and Roderick Strong, and Christopher Daniels vs Jay and Mark Briscoe and Alex Shelley

This was quite the interesting 6-man tag team match here, with all of the men having some sort of history…including Mark Briscoe even being a member of The Prophecy back in 2002! A lot has changed in four years and now it was time for all of the men in the match to show how much they have grown. Shelley tried to apologize to Daniels for the Kings of Wrestling interfering in their previous match, but he was having nothing of it on this night. When those two were in the ring, they put on a clinic, going hold for hold with one another and showcasing the pure and technical wrestling that ROH is known for. And the Briscoes and tag team champions showed why they were two of the best tag teams in the history of the company. The team of the Briscoes and Shelley were able to keep Aries in their corner cut the ring off during the match, but what it also did was allow Strong and Daniels to rest. And when Aries made the tag to Strong, he came out like a bat out of hell. Roderick pelted both Briscoes with wicked chops and took Shelley out with a flurry of backbreakers! All hell did break loose and all 6 men were in the ring at the same time with one another, going back and forth with too much action for the cameras to keep up with. The Briscoes were taken out by Aries and Strong with a Brainbuster and Gibson Driver respectively. And Daniels was able to put the nail in the coffin with an emphatic Fall From Grace (iconoclasm) on Shelley to win the match and pin the Pure Wrestling Champion!

Christopher Daniels, Austin Aries, and Roderick Strong win by pinfall in 17:31

KENTA and Taiji Ishimori vs Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnolli

Hero and Castagnolli were looking for yet another big win heading into their showdown with Aries and Strong at Budoken Hall next week, and what a better way to do so by beating a man who will main event that show in KENTA, and his protégé Ishimori. Ishimori continued to impress everyone in ROH with his quickness and workrate, but he had yet to get that one BIG win under his belt. Ishimori was the smallest man in the match but that did not stop him from taking the match to the Kings. In fact, he and KENTA were able to operate very well as a tag team and take control of the much more experience Kings of Wrestling. It was their puroesu knowledge and variety of kicks and chops that they used to bring the two big men down and make them easier targets to strike down. But their inexperience made them susceptible to double teams and dirty tactics by the Kings and that’s when things began to unravel for the Japanese duo. KENTA was caught with a Double Yakuza Kick combo from the Kings, leaving Ishimori all alone with them. And a couple minutes later, following a KRS-1, the Kings were able to get the pin and give them even more momentum!

The Kings of Wrestling win by pinfall in 15:55

AJ Styles Farewell Tour Match

AJ Styles vs Kevin Steen

Before the match, everyone in the arena was on their feet and applauded AJ for all his accomplishments in ROH, and that included all three men at the commentary position outside of the ring. Streamers littered the ring and the only thing Kevin Steen could do was show his disrespect by pretending it was toilet paper and wiped his ass with some. AJ nodded and mouthed the words ‘okay’. And once the bell rang, the match was on! AJ picked up the intensity from the word go and took the match to Steen. This was all about AJ getting a pinfall back over Steen, and the member of the Kingdom made sure it wasn’t easy. Both men traded hard blows and stiff suplexes and various slams. Steen, being the bigger of the two men involved, used his size to his advantage and then surprised everyone by showcasing an amazing agility and athleticism that some may not have known he had. AJ was not to be undone, because not many men actually outperform AJ in a ROH ring. Steen went for a Steenton Bomb, but AJ was able to move out of the way and, after getting Steen back to his feet, AJ was able to end the match with an emphatic Styles Clash and pin Kevin Steen!

After the match, AJ offered his hand to Steen out of a sign of respect. Steen went to shake his hand but left the ring in one final act of defiance by spitting on the hand of AJ and quickly ducking out. After wiping his hand clean, AJ turned his attention back to the fans who were once again on their feet and chanting “Thank You AJ” out of respect and appreciation. AJ was visibly emotional as he left the ROH ring in Edison for one final time.

AJ Styles wins by pinfall in 14:47

Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship Match

Bryan Danielson© vs Samoa Joe

Before the match began, Nigel McGuiness gave words of encouragement to Samoa Joe, as if he needed any, and retook his place back at the commentary position. Joe was ready, and once the bell rang he quickly charged Danielson, only for the World Champion to exit the ring and play mind games with the big Samoan. For the beginning parts of the match, there was a game of cat and mouse as Danielson did what he could to avoid the strikes and holds of his challenger. Danielson quickly though targeted Joe’s leg and looked to slow down Samoa Joe and take away a lot of the sting from Joe’s strikes and take the match down to the mat. Danielson applied a variety of submission holds on the legs of Joe to continue to weaken him. But Joe would often be able to get out of them due to his sheer size compared to the World Champion. Frustrated, Danielson began to cut Joe down with kicks to the thighs and hips. Joe caught one kick in particular and slapped the taste right out of the mouth of Danielson, sending him down to the mat in a heap. Joe followed up by mounting him and started to pummel him with elbows and strikes. Danielson tried to cover up, but most of the strikes were landing and finding their intended mark. Joe picked dragon up off the mat and tossed him over the top rope and set him up for an Ole Ole kick! He charged but dragon moved and Joe went hard into the guard rail. Dragon clotheslined Joe over the top rope and went back into the ring to perform the suicide dive from inside the ring to outside. He waited for Joe to get back up and leapt onto and then from the top and onto Joe on the outside! This of course led to a raucous “ROH” chant from a very hot crowd, half of whom wanted to see Danielson retain the title, and the other half wanted to see Joe become a 2-time ROH World Champ. Half an hour in and there was still on way to separate the two, and the match continued to be fought. Joe was visibly limping by this point, with Dragon continuing his assault on his leg. Try as he would, Joe did what he could to fight the type of match he wanted and kept the assault up on Dragon with strikes and chops, but his efforts were in vain as Danielson would perform a drop kick or a chop block that would send Joe back to the ground. Danielson tried to wrap Joe’s legs around the ring post to attempt a Figure Four, but Joe was too powerful and kept shoving him back wards into the guard rail. Danielson abandoned the move and after a moment of thinking, he went for an Indian Deathlock! Joe was struggling to get out of this hold and many of the fans chanted for him not to tap, but there were those few who actually wanted to see the big Samoan give into a submission victory. Joe finally was able to crawl to the ropes and break the hold. After the referee got to four, Danielson finally released the hold, reminding the ref that he did indeed have until five to break. Joe used the energy from the crowd and began to mount a comeback! Slaps and chops and kicks and knee strikes sent Danielson running for his life, or at least his life as ROH Champion, and caused him to once again wrestle a much more defensive style. Joe thought he had the match won after he hit Danielson with an Island Driver! But Dragon rolled away from Joe, causing a couple of seconds to pass by before Joe could make the pin attempt. Joe covered him and only got a two count! He looked at the ref as he heard Bobby Cruise announce that there was only 5 minutes remaining the match. This caused Joe to turn it up into another gear and things got serious very quickly. Joe backed Danielson into one of the corners and began to pelt him with forearm strikes, looking to get some sort of knockout victory. The resilience of the World Champion was inspiring though as he took the shots on the chin and kept fighting for a submission victory of his own. Danielson hit Joe with multiple Dragon Screw Leg Whips to cause more damage to Joe’s leg. Dragon would not let up and this time he applied a Figure Four Leg Lock, which brought a chorus of ‘woos’ from the fans. Joe fought it and fought it and would not give in for anything in the world, and eventually rolled the move over to apply pressure to the legs of the World Champion instead. Wisely Dragon got to the ropes and forced Joe to be the one to break the hold. Dragon went over to Bobby Cruise to check on the time remaining, but turning his back on Joe caused him to get locked in the Choke! 30 seconds were left for either Danielson to survive or for Joe to regain hold on the title he dominated for nearly two years! Danielson fought and fought but Joe, being bigger, was able to keep the hold around Danielson’s head and neck. One last move of desperation, Danielson grabbed the ref and shoved him aside. With Todd Sinclair down, Danielson mule kicked back and low blowed Joe! The fans were livid when Joe let go of the hold and Danielson rolled out to the outside. The time ticked down and the 60-minute time limit had expired!

Nigel McGuiness was incensed at what happened! He took off his headset and got into the ring to try and talk to Todd Sinclair about what had just happened. He even went to check on Joe to make sure he was okay before turning his attention to Bryan Danielson. Bobby Cruise announced the match as a draw and Dragon took the belt from the time keepers table and began to make his way back to the back.

Nigel – “You damn wanker! I am told that I am only a couple of months away from being 100%, and when I am, you can believe that I will be coming after you and the World Title. I have had enough of watching you retain the World Title in less than honorable means. I promise you that I WILL become the World Champion and bring back some honor to that title.”

KENTA has two, yes two pinfall victories over the World Champion and will be looking to get another one with the World Title on the line. Either he will become the first Japanese ROH champion, or Bryan Danielson will get one step closer to the 1 year mark of his historic title reign. Ring of Honor World Heavyweight Championship

Bryan Danielson© vs KENTA

I have this pegged as your A match. It's in Japan, KENTA is more over than Danielson there. So, I'm gonna go with some outside the box thinking and say that KENTA wins here. I'm probably wrong, but I like a good gamble.

Ring of Honor Tag Team Championship

Austin Aries and Roderick Strong© vs Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnolli

It's a monumental night for ROH, Aries & Strong have amassed quite the reign and I don't see many contenders waiting in the wings. A title change should freshen things up.

Low Ki vs Naomichi Marufuji

I don't have a clue with this one. Marufuji is very talented, perhaps one of the best Junior wrestlers of the last 10 years IRL. But, Low Ki is the ROH dude, and I have KENTA winning the belt, so logic dictates that Low Ki wins here.

Homicide and Samoa Joe vs The Havana Pitbulls

I'm not sure about this, purely because I've forgot who The Havana Pitbulls are... but, you're building Low Ki vs. Homicide, so having either of them lose doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Taiji Ishimori vs Christopher Daniels

You're big on Ishimori, I can tell that by reading the Newswire updates. Daniels is somebody that can remain credible even in defeat, whilst I'd say that Ishimori probably needs the win more.

2/3 Falls Match

Davey Richards vs Matt Sydal

Richards seems the more complete wrestler, as opposed to Sydal's often explosive offence, so it makes sense that Davey would overcome him. Could be wrong, probably will be, but Davey has more ways to beat a man than Sydal does so I think he'll win this.

Falls Count Anywhere

BJ Whitmer vs Jimmy Jacobs

He lost to Delirious, he wins here I think.

Tie Breakers:

How many falls will there be in the 2/3 Falls Match? It has to go 3. Although TEW often makes them go 2 for some reason... but yeah, 3.

Which match will give the “A” rating? And yes there is one! Bryan Danielson vs KENTA

Forgot about that jeff3xtreme!

Yeah I love the idea of the Pure Wrestling Title and I really want to try and keep it the longest I can.

ROH Newswire August 10, 2006

Well ROH fans as was promised, Nigel McGuinness has a few words for the Ring of Honor Champion Bryan Danielson.

Nigel - "Bryan, Bryan, Bryan. I have seen a few of your title defenses end in a way that doesn't bring 'honor' to that championship you carry around. You grabbed the tights of Homicide, low blowed Samoa Joe to ensure a draw, hell, you even went after an opened wound of Colt Cabana. In a couple of months my neck will be 100%, and I will turn this suit and the headset of the commen'try table for my boots and tights and I will make sure to whip your a** all over the ROH ring. I want a World Title shot as soon as I come back. And our commissioner has already guaranteed me that match by virtue of never losing the Pure Wrestling Title....and yes I will be coming for a match with you too Alex Shelley. Anyway, back to the w***** at hand...no pun intended. Dragon, be prepared for the fight of your life. I will be coming for you."

Lacey also has a word for all of those in the Ring of Honor locker room who oppose her.

Lacey - "Alright Ring of Honor, listen to me. My name I Lacey and I have something very important to say to all of you." Both Jimmys and Adam Pearce were standing behind her. "Colt Cabana, Delirious, Irish Airborne and BJ Whitmer; you all think you can stand in my way from expanding Lacey's Angels and the enterprise that comes with it? Well think again. BJ Whitmer has been a thorn in my side since he decided that he wanted to break up his tag team with Jimmy here. And he wanted to put hands on a woman back at the 100th Show? That s*** is not cool BJ! So what was I to do? I went out and hired Adam Pearce and then acquired the services of this man, Jimmy Rave from Prince Nana. They, along with Jimmy Jacobs will help me destroy BJ Whitmer, and this little 'coalition' of wrestlers who think they will oppose me. But let me leave you all with one more thing...I have many tricks, and lot more cash up my sleeves. Your friends may not be your friends after all."

Ask the fans!

What do you think Lacey meant by 'your friends may not be your friends?'

OOC: So what did you guys think? I think doing stuff like this not only adds more dynamic to characters but helps with storylines. Please leave your input. Thanks :)
