WCW Making Some Signings

It has been confirmed by a reliable WCW Source that World Championship Wrestling have made a multitude of signings in this past week. We know now that WCW has signed two young men off the U.S. Independent circuit by the names of C.W Anderson and Adam Pearce. Also to try an make a woman's division WCW signed a young women independent wrestler named Nora Greenwald. But WCW management didn’t just look at the U.S. independent scene to make signings, they also sent scouts to the Mexican independent scene where they saw Hector Garza and Excalibur who they signed.

Some of the bigger names that WCW Management signed were Jerry Lynn who they stole from ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling), former WWF Intercontinental and Tag Team champion Marty Jannetty, and the big signing WCW made was stealing Don Callis from the WWF who played The Jackal and managed Kurrgan and Recon. Many WWF insiders have wondered what they will do with Recon and Kurrgan now that they have no one to manage to manage them.

WWF Looking to build an Excellent Light Heavyweight Division?

The financial powerhouse known as the WWF, is currently looking to build an excellent light heavyweight division for their tournament that leads up to Wrestlemania. They are currently scouting shows throughout the world to find the best talent for this tournament, some of them might be even signed to written deals. One wrestler in particular that has caught the promotion’s eye is one of the greatest Junior Heavyweight’s in the world, multi time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion: Jushin Thunder Lyger. Once he officially enters ther company, he will continue to work for NJPW, but he is expected to get a large push. Also with this vision, Vince McMahon has personally started working agreements with many companies around the world, including NJPW, AAA, and CMLL, to get the most talent that they can.

Huge Bidding War going on over boxing star Mike Tyson?

With Mike Tyson recently announcing that he will take bookings for wrestling shows, it is no surprise that both the WWF and WCW are both attempting to sign the icon of the sports world. Tyson in an interview this week said he would take bookings, but only for the right price! With both companies bidding over him, Tyson’s contract could make him a very rich man, that could potentially make him millions of dollars each year. While he will mostly be used in a non wrestling role, sources of both promotions have hinted that he may be used in a few matches in the upcoming years. With matches, the ratings could be off the charts if one of the promotions manages to sign him.

First Off it’s been reported that Sid Vicious has been contacted by World Championship Wrestling to come and be a big star. The Plans Management is said to have for Sid is to make him the SUPREME OVERLORD in the NWO with Nash and Hogan falling out of the role of being the SUPREME OVERLORD. With Hogan and Nash being pulled out of the top spots, it is said that WCW will sign top Japanese talent like Yoshihiro Tajiri and the recently released Blue Meanie to replace the hole left by Hogan and Nash. This has some people scratching their heads but as of now this is just a rumor.

Sources within WCW say that top star and the current World Heavyweight Champion may be getting a new gimmick: A clown gimmick. While Sting will keep most of his trademark facepaint, the current black parts on it will turn red to symbolize the new gimmick. His finishing moves will also be called the Punch Line (Scorpion Death Drop) the Carny Splash (Stinger Splash) and the Evil Clown Lock.

From sources backstage of the WWF, there have been some very strange rumors that the big feud heading into Wrestlemania 14 will be Vince McMahon vs Kane. It’s said that Vince will somehow screw Kane at the royal rumble (unconfirmed what match he is in as of now), with Kane being distracted by a Vince/Bearer brawl from ringside. With him distracted, Kane will be tombstoned by the returning Undertaker. From then on, we can exclusively confirm here that Undertaker and Vince McMahon will headline Wrestlemania against Kane and Paul Bearer, with Vince likely making the pin on Kane after a tombstone by Undertaker.

WCW Monday Nitro Preview

• Last week we heard Sting speak for the first time in over a year as he sent an open challenge to anyone in the back to challenge him for his World Title. To everyone’s surprise his best friend Lex Luger answered the challenge. After Lex accepted Sting’s World Title challenge, Kevin Nash later in the night to prove he should be the NWO’s leader challenged Luger to a number one contender match for the world title for this Nitro. It wasn’t until Sunday after Saturday Night that JJ Dillon reportedly confirmed the match.

• Nash and Hogan had tension rising last week on Nitro and now this week we will see how Hogan handles Nash being in the Title Picture and not him. Even though tensions are rising between Hogan and Nash, Bischoff has been trying to calm the situation down a little and has been trying not to have the NWO explode and disband.

• To add an even bigger wedge in the NWO Hall and Savage have been going at each other about Savage hitting Hall with a pipe costing him his match against The Giant and Savage trying to get at Scott just for thinking that Savage purposely cost him his match and that it wasn't an accident hitting him. So because of this mistrust JJ Dillon booked two picked your poison matches with Hall and Savage. Now JJ added that Hall and Savage can pick any WCW wrestler as the poison for each other and that WCW wrestler that’s chosen must compete.

• When Ric Flair won his United States Title number one contender match against Curt Hennig last Monday everyone in attendance was ecstatic to see Ric Flair win. But everyone's excitement turned to disgust after Flair shockingly low blowed the United States Champion Diamond Dallas Page following the match. With Flair at the center of attention of all DDP fans, we will hear from Flair on why he turned his back on DDP after DDP tried to help Flair keep the odds even in his match with Hennig.

• Finally, this Monday on Nitro we will see Roddy Rowdy Piper hosting Piper’s Pit Live on Monday Nitro. But the question everyone wants to know the answer to is who will be his guest? Could it be Sting, or maybe Nash, who knows it could be Ted Turner for all we know.

Raw starts with a very energized crowd as Jim Ross and Jerry “The King” Lawler hype tonight’s action.

Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to Monday Night Raw as we come to you from Boston Massachusetts! Tonight we will see action from your favorite WWF Superstars!

(As Ross is talking, Vince McMahon’s music hits to a large amount of heat from the crowd)

Jerry Lawler: And this is my favorite superstar right here JR!

(Entering the ring with a microphone in hand, the owner of the World Wrestling Federation begins to speak.)

Vince McMahon: Last week on Raw is War, we saw something very shocking, and very disturbing, as we saw 2 of the Federation’s top superstars viciously attack as the man known as Kane. If you missed it, let’s take a look.

(With McMahon pointing towards the titantron, we are shown highlights of the match between Ken Shamrock and Shawn Michaels, with Shawn gaining the roll up victory. Walking up the ramp, the video then shows Undertaker looking to chokeslam the WWF Champion off the stage. With the Undertaker lifting him up, the video flashes to the clothesline to the back from Kane. Lifting the Undertaker up, Kane delivered a devastating chokeslam off the stage. Satisfied with his work, Kane then walked towards the WWF Champion he was still laying on the stage. Picking him up, Kane hit a Tombstone Piledriver on Michaels. The end of the video package shows both men being stretchered out of the arena to close Raw.)

Vince McMahon: Following this horrific incident, I contacted the hospital to find that one of the superstars involved in this has been horribly crippled. After talking to the staff, I have learned that the number 1 contender to the WWF Title, the Undertaker has been horribly injured following this brutal attack, and because of it, we find ourselves with no number 1 contender.

(As the crowd boos because of this announcement, it grows even louder as we hear this voice come from the entrance way.)

Paul Bearer: Oh yes...... Yes, you do Mr. McMahon! As it was proven last week on Raw is War, Kane is the stronger brother in this family, and he should be the one who gets the title shot! He crippled your number 1 contender so awfully, the Undertaker hasn’t even found out that he can’t wrestle! And Shawn Michaels should be glad that he didn’t suffer the same fate as the Undertaker. You see, my Kane knows that there is no limit to the power that he possesses, and you know it Vince! So I want an answer right now Vince, is it going to be a “Yes,” or is it going to be a “No?”

Vince McMahon: You’re right Paul, your... Monster Kane is without a doubt one of the most powerful superstars we have ever seen in this Federation, but I will not just give title shots out. If Kane wins his match tonight, at the Royal Rumble, he will face Shawn Michaels for the World Wrestling Federation Title. That’s an if however, because tonight he will be going one on one with Shawn Michael’s partner: the European Champion, Triple H!

(With the crowd buzzing over the main event, we go back over to the announcers who hype the main event, and that the match will have the WWF Tag Team Champions in action.)

“Oh, you Didn’t Know?”
(Already having a microphone in hand, the New Age Outlaws make their way to the ring for their match against the Headbangers.)

Road Dogg: Last week, we saw true cowards, didn’t we Billy? You know, I know, and all of these people know that those idiots that call themselves legends, Cactus Jack and Chainsaw Charlie couldn’t beat us in a fair match on our worst day! Now then, ladies and gentlemen, boy and girls, children of all ages, the New Age Outlaws proudly bring to you, they are the Tag Team champions of the World! “The Road Dogg” Jesse James, the “Bad Ass” Billy Gunn, we are the New Age Outlaws!

(Throwing the microphone to the camera man outside, the New Age Outlaws do ‘Rock, Paper, Scissors, Shoot’ to decide who will be the legal man first in their match with the Headbangers. It turns out that... Billy loses! Shaking his head in mock disappointment, Billy begins to pace the ring, waiting for the Headbangers.)

After the Headbangers make it to the ring, Billy and Trasher quickly lock up. With Billy gaining the upperhand, he pushes Trasher to the ropes, following it up with a fluid dropkick for a quick 2 count on the former tag team champion. Picking him up, Billy drags him over to the Road Dogg, making a tag. With Billy now holding Thrasher, the Road Dogg hits several punches, while telling Trasher to hit him back. Picking him up for a suplex, Road Dogg slams Thrasher on the mat, following him up with a sleeper hold so Thrasher couldn’t reach Mosh. Slowly getting up to his feet, he began planting elbows on the Tag Team Champion, before bouncing off the ropes for a big clothesline! With both men down, Trasher makes it to Mosh for the tag! With Mosh clearing the ring, he irish whips Road Dogg to the corner, hitting a clothesline! Picking him up, Road Dogg suddenly counters with a small package!

Returning from the break, Vince McMahon’s music hits again for the second time as he comes strutting out to the ring to the boos of the crowd in attendance.

Jim Ross: Earlier this week, Vince announced that he would have a big announcement for Wrestlemania this year, what do you think it could be King?

Jerry Lawler: Well Ross, I don’t know what it could be, but I know what it should be, and that’s the King hosting Wrestlemania 14 this year! Wouldn’t that be great JR?

Jim Ross: I don’t know about that King, but it looks like the owner of this company is about to speak!

(It turns out that JR is right, as Vince McMahon raises the microphone to his mouth and he begins to speak.)

Vince McMahon: 14 years ago, I, Vince McMahon started something very special: Wrestlemania! There have been many spectacular moments over the years, such as just 2 years ago, when Shawn Michaels came from that ceiling, as he went on to win his first World Wrestling Federation world championship. There have been moments such as the Ultimate Warrior winning his first world title. This year however, we will have a tournament to crown a new champion, for this new title. Can we have it rolled out please?

(Several backstage workers roll out a pedestal that has a covering over it, which likely holds the new title under it. Taking it to the ring, Vince McMahon again speaks)

Vince McMahon: May I have a drumroll please?

(As a drumroll comes on through a speaker, Vince slowly takes off the cover with a flourish to reveal the...)

Vince McMahon: Ladies and gentlemen, starting at the Royal Rumble, talent from all over the world will fight for this title,
the light-heavyweight title. It will continue, all the way from Wrestlemania. D-Lo gets a quick advantage with an eye poke and after some offense from D-Lo, Owen came back with an Enziguri. After only a two count off the Enziguri Owen ran against the ropes only to be pulled by Kama and Owen falls face first on the mat. D-Lo picks up Owen and hits a Powerbomb and then a quick leg drop and pins Owen.

But Owen Kicks out and D-Lo picks him up. D-Lo slams Owen in position for the Lo-Down. When D-Lo tries for it though Owen moves and D-Lo crashes. Owen then hits a Spinning Heel Kick and locks in the Sharpshooter. D-Lo taps and Owen wins.

After the match Ross and Lawler talk about Owen versus Triple H at Royal Rumble, they transition that into saying tickets are available for the Royal Rumble right now and if you want to catch on Pay Per View call your local Pay Per View provider. The Nation then come out with The Rock for his match against Bart Gunn.

After the Rock defeated Bart Gunn, he continued to talk trash to the former tag team champion when out of no where, the number 1 contender to the Rock’s Intercontinental Championship came running to the ring! Ken Shamrock! Dodging a right hand from The Rock, Shamrock hit a belly to belly on the IC Champ, but before he could get an Ankle Lock on the Rock, Kama pulled Rock out of the ring, saving him from “The World’s Most Dangerous Man.”

As the announcers discuss the match and Shamrock assaulting the Rock, Ross tells the fans to look at the titantron as the returning legend will be announced right now!

The video package starts with music that sounds very familiar to the fans, it kind of sounds like train tracks. As the first image comes into view, it shows a zoomed in video of a man shaking ropes. It slowly goes up to reveal a man with face paint who says “In 2 weeks, the Royal Rumble will get Ultimate as the fanbase of Warriors will be rocked foevvveeerrr!”
Following those words, the video flashes to words saying “The Ultimate Warrior returns in 2 weeks!”

Jim Ross: Wow King, the former WWF Champion, the Ultimate Warrior returns to the WWF at the Royal Rumble! I thought I would never see him again!

Jerry Lawler: I did too, Ross. I really hoped I wouldn’t see that disgusting face in here. Have you ever wondered why he hides his face with all that face paint JR?

Jeff his quickness advantage over Vader as his mind set for this as Jeff just dodges all Vaders attacks landing cheap blows on the man from the Rocky Mountains. After Vader gets really fed up he goes right after Jeff with huge rights and almost gets DQed from doing so many rights in the corner. After Jarrett hit an eye rake on Vader he headed to the middle rope and hit a dropkick which dropped Vader.

No, Vader kicked out from the Jarrett cover. Jarrett calls for the figure four, but Vader pushes him away with his leg making Jarrett fall to the floor. After Vader went outside to get a Jarrett who was standing on the outside not getting in the ring, Vader got caught by Jarrett who ran back in the ring to get the advantage as Jarrett put boots to Vader right when he came in. When Jeff sees the boots have no effect on Vader Jarrett runs against the ropes and Vader grabs him by the throat. Vader slams Jeff in position to get the Vader Bomb. Vader is on the middle rope and then he goes to the top rope for the moonsault. When Vader jumps Jeff moves and when Vader hits the mat, the ring almost breaks from impact. Jarrett goes for the pin right away.

After the announcers finish talking about the highlights of Jarrett vs Vader, the camera brings us to the backstage area, where Goldust is already ready for an interview.

Goldust hits a series of strikes that actually drop Ken, as you can see the intensity in Goldust is still there from his interview about Austin. As the match rolls on Goldust keeps the lead in the match ending any chance for Ken Shamrock to get an upper-hand. But then from out of no where when Goldust kicked Ken in the shoulder while Ken was leaning over, Ken pops up with an angry look to him. He screams hits the Belly-to-Belly and he follows that up with mounted punches. As he is about to do the ankle lock The Nation’s song pops on, as the nation stands at the top of the ramp. With Shamrock kicking out right at the 3 count, he looks absolutely livid as Goldust runs to the back. With the Nation of Domination taunting him from the rampway, Shamrock looks like he is about to snap! Looking at the crowd, he suddenly belly to belly’s the referee! Putting on the Ankle Lock, the ref taps right away as Shamrock lets go after a few moments of the crowd cheering as the ref continues to tap. As the Nation continues to talk trash to Shamrock, we go to commercial break, with our main event up next!

Back from the commercial break, DX’s music hits to a great reaction from the crowd. After about a minute of music, Triple H and Chyna walk out, but they aren’t looking like their cocky selves for once, probably due to witnessing the assault Kane put on there friend Shawn Michaels last week on RAW! Telling the cameraman to get him a microphone, Triple H looks slightly cockier, but you can see the fear in his eyes!

Triple H: “First of all Owen, you have the balls to call me a woman? Wait a minute, you don’t have balls, do you Owen? Because if you did, I would’ve been the one looking up at the lights last week as a loser, not you. I beat the crap out of, you even passed out from the pain. Well let me tell you, at the Royal Rumble, you will be a loser yet again as I retain this baby right here!

Holding up his title, Triple H hangs it between his legs to the boos of the crowd.

Triple H: Now, I’ve got some business to take care of in here!

With the lights going out, Kane’s music hits to a mixture of cheers and boos from the crowd. But the person who comes out isn’t the man who was expected. Coming out to the ramp way with a microphone is the evil Paul Bearer.

Paul Bearer: Triple H, what you have gotten yourself into tonight is much more than business. You will be eviscerated by the strongest, most dangerous man to have ever stepped into this ring. You see, Kane is not a normal man, he like his brother the Undertaker feels no remorse, no mercy for his enemies. Kane makes good on his promises, as the Undertaker learned last week as he got hit so hard he couldn’t stand up on his two feet for the whole week! And Shawn Michaels is in a wheelchair right now, just waiting to give his title to Kane! But for now, you will suffer the same fate as the Undertaker, and your friend Shawn Michaels!

For the second time, the lights turn out as Kane finally comes out this time, looking as intense as ever. As Raw heads to commercial.

The show returns from commercial as we see Kane dominating the European Champion, knocking him down with lefts and rights, and many power moves. Irish whipping Triple H to the corner, Triple H dodges a clothesline from Kane. He’s going for a Pedigree! He hits it!

Sitting right back up, Kane just stares out Triple H, whose eyes are filled with fear! Trying to knock him down with a boot to the face, it fails as Kane sits right back up! Picking up Kane for another Pedigree, Triple H hooks the arms and jumps up for it… And Kane uses his strength to block it! Looking furious, Triple H goes for it again, but this time Kane just powers out of it with a back body drop! Picking up Hunter, he hits a Tombstone Piledriver as Paul Bearer looks on in approval.

Now being named the Number 1 Contender for the WWF Title, Paul Bearer congratulates him before telling to teach Triple H a lesson for stepping in the ring with him. Picking him up, Kane hits another Tombstone to Triple H, before letting fire go out of the turnbuckles to close Raw is War!

Right now let’s down to business. Tonight you (Eric points to Randy Savage) and you (Eric points to Scott Hall) pick your opponents and I expect that after tonight this little grudge you guys have going on will end. And it better. (Hall and Savage are looking at each other with dead stares)

Now let’s get down to the most important topic in wrestling right now, the question on everyone’s mind, who is the leader of the NWO.

But you know what it doesn’t matter who’s the leader of the NWO, because whether it’s Hogan, Nash, me or Vincent the goal of the NWO will still stay the same and that’s to takeover WCW. For that reason is why Kevin I want you to win tonight against Luger and go to Souled Out and win the Title from Sting for the NWO.

After that the announcers start talking about the Pick your poison match-ups with Hall and Savage and the obvious look of disdain on Hogan’s face after Bischoff said he wants Nash to win the title. They also add that later tonight Roddy Rowdy Piper will hold Piper’s Pit and his guest at this time is unknown. Before Nitro goes to a commercial Schiavone tells us that when Nitro comes back it will be The leader of his group of outcasts called The Flock, Raven going against the American Patriot Hacksaw Jim Duggan.

(Jim Duggan’s music starts up as he comes to the ring for his match against Raven. Raven then comes to the ring and once he does the camera pans to the Flock in the crowd.)

• Duggan starts the match with a big, HOOOOOOOOOO! Before Raven drops him with a right, Duggan proceeds to crawl along the ropes to the turnbuckle while Raven followed him. Raven does some punches and kicks to Duggan before whipping him to the opposite turnbuckle. Raven runs across the ring and hits a clothesline that leads into a bulldog.

• Duggan kicks out which makes Raven angry. Raven continues his offense with some mounted rights. Raven would run against the ropes and hit a quick elbow, and again and again. Pin but only a one count.
• Raven picks up Duggan and calls for the Raven Effect. Raven hooks him but, Duggan picks up Raven and does the airplane spin. After putting Raven down Duggan hits a tackling clothesline. Cover, 1… 2

• Raven Kicks out, Duggan gets up slow as Raven is getting to his feet in the corner. Duggan runs at Raven but Raven moves and when Duggan turns around Raven does the Raven Effect.

• 2…

• 3… Raven wins.

As the match ends we see the Flock in the crowd cheering on Raven and mostly every WCW Fan booing him. The crowd then erupts.

IT’S GOLDBERG!!!

Goldberg runs down to the ring as Raven sees him and escapes but Raven sick’s The Flock on Goldberg. Goldberg takes each member out one by one. Saturn lastly as Saturn came in with a Chair and after Goldberg ducked one shot Goldberg hit a Spear when Saturn turned to try again.
After the Flock was taken care of Goldberg stares at Raven at the top of the stage.

When we comeback we see Rowdy Piper Arriving backstage, the announcers then remind us that Piper will be hosting a Pipers Pit tonight. They then add that no one knows who the guest is. The announcers then talk about the pick your poison matches for later tonight, as Macho Man picked Scott Hall’s opponent and Hall picked Macho’s. They add that they can’t wait to see who they picked.

(After they finish talking we see The Blue Bloods walking to the ring for Dave Taylor against Chris Benoit.)

• Benoit looking to get another win over a Blue Blood as he beat Chris Adams on Saturday Night and Dave Taylor is looking to redeem the Blue Bloods after the Chris Adams loss.

• The Match starts with many technical moves and reverses, as Dave Taylor eventually gets a move that sticks as he lock on the waistlock on Benoit. After slamming Benoit with a side suplex Taylor began trying to ride Benoit, but Benoit was like a wild chipmunk moving every which way to final snapmare Taylor off him, as both men standoff.

• Dean starts coming over to get at Regal as he scurries off around the ring, but Dean does get to take out Chris Adams with a clothesline. Dean then continues onto Regal but before contact is made Randy Anderson gets between them. As this is happening Dave Taylor goes to the outside and grabs something from Chris Adams, he then goes over to Benoit and heaves him in the ring. Dave heads to the top rope with the object we believe is Brass Knucks. Taylor jumps off as Benoit is back to his feet, but Benoit side steps him and throws him down and hits the Crossface.

• Taylor Taps! Benoit wins

After the match as Benoit and Malenko leave we see Regal and Adams in the ring extremely upset with Dave as they scream his head off saying how could he tap and how could you miss him. Regal and Adams then leave the ring without Taylor, could this be the end for Dave in the Blue Bloods?

The Announcers start hyping the Main Event later tonight where Lex Luger will face Kevin Nash to decide who will face Sting at Souled Out. They then add considering now that Bishcoff said that he is rooting for Nash maybe the NWO will try and help Nash win to the dismay of Hollywood Hogan.

• Scott Norton and Glacier start this tag team contest off one on one. Norton starts off with the test of strength by putting his right hand in the air, and as Glacier attempts to do the same Norton kicks him right in the gut dropping Glacier.

• As Norton’s assault continues he hits an avalanche in the corner and then hits a samoan drop taking Glacier out of the corner and on to the mat as Norton goes for a cover. 1… 2… No, only a two as Glacier kicks out. Norton then does a dirty eye rake move before tagging in Buff Bagwell

• After a double team move Glacier starts wanting the tag as Bagwell continues the assault on Glacier. Bagwell starts taunting Glacier with slaps to the back of the head, and then Glacier starts fighting back with rights. Glacier then tries to whip Bagwell against the ropes but Bagwell reverses and hits a sleeper hold.

• After almost getting counted out by the sleeper Glacier starts fighting out of it and does as Glacier hits a back suplex. Glacier crawls for the tag and gets it from Ernest Miller. Miller comes in and hits Bagwell with a forearm as Norton runs in he is hit with a Dropkick. Bagwell is up again as Ernest goes for a kick to Bagwell but gets caught, Ernest then hits an Enziguri on Bagwell. Ernest goes for the pin.

No, Norton breaks it up. Norton whips Ernest against the ropes and Norton misses the clothesline as Ernest stops in his tracks and tries to hit the feline on Norton but he ducks he Norton hits a huge Big Boot knocking out Ernest Miller. Norton then sees Glacier getting up on the apron and Scott hits a boot on him as well. Bagwell then goes for the cover.

3… Vicious and Delicious win

After the match and as Bagwell and Norton celebrate, Bagwell then tells Norton to go to the ring announcer bell. Once Norton is over there Bagwell picks up Ernest’s legs and does the Sharpshooter and once Bagwell locks it in he tells Norton to ring the bell. As Norton continues ringing the bell we hear the crowds cheer extremely loud and the camera sees Bret running down to the ring.

Bret hits Buff from behind and hits continuous rights on Buff as Scott Norton comes in. Scott hits Bret from behind and whips him against the ropes, but Bret hits a thesz press on Norton hitting rights on him. Bret then attempts the Sharpshooter on Norton but Bischoff came out and he and Bagwell pulled Norton out before Bret could get it on. Bret is staring at the three saying he was this close to locking it in.

My guest at this time is the WCW Television Champion of the World, Booker T. Booker a few days ago on WCW Saturday Night Rick Martel said that he would be coming for you TV Title soon. How do you respond to this?

Well Gene I am the new generation the Book man is going to be the man to lead WCW into the two thousands whether I have the TV, U.S. or the World Title I will be leading WCW into the new Century. Rick Martel is a part of that old generation. He isn’t fit to be a champion anymore; he should just retire so he doesn’t have to embarrass himself when he would lose against me if he ever got a title match. The Camera then comes to the announcer table where they tell the fans where to buy tickets for Souled Out. They go on to hype the Main Event tonight where Nash will face Luger to decide the number one contender for the World Title at Souled Out. As Macho Man starts to come down to the ring for his pick your poison match, they start wondering who Scott Hall Picked.
As Macho is waiting in the ring Scott Hall comes to the head of the stage with a microphone.

Macho Meh, tonight you will be put in your place by the biggest meh in WCW that meh is The Giant. So Giant come on out.

(Still no one comes. Scott looks backstage to see where the Giant is and you hear him asking faintly where is The Giant. After finding out The Giant isn’t there Hall tells a wrestler who he sees walking by that he is Savage’s poison. Before the guy comes out Hall leaves in disappointment.)

• The match starts off with Macho getting a headlock on Davey Boy, Davey throws Macho off and shoulder blocks Macho as Davey Boy runs against and Macho hits an Arm Drag and gets an arm lock synched in.

• Later on in the match we see Macho jump over the top rope onto Davey Boy, but Davey Boy catches him and slams the Macho Man on the mat below. Davey Boy heads back in the ring with Macho, he then covers him

• Only a two as Macho gets his shoulder up. As the match continues on, Davey Boy picks up Macho Man and tries for the Powerslam. But Macho rakes his eye to get out of it. While Davey is showing the pain the eye rake caused Macho heads to the top rope, and he jumps off with a double axe handle. Macho does his signature taunt to the crowd and heads to the top rope again. He points to the heavens and leaps and hits the Elbow Drop.

• Scott Hall begins the match-up with trying out technical wrestle Scott Steiner, after that failed miserably with Steiner getting the upper-hand at every turn. After sometime regrouping on the outside Scott Hall came back and got the advantage right away after an eye poke.
• When Hall continues his assault we see him put some real damage on Steiner, with a suplex, some powering strikes, and ending his flurry of offense with a discuss clothesline. He covers Steiner but only gets a two.
• When Hall got up he picked Steiner up and does the abdominal stretch on Steiner. After it looked like Scott was gonna tap he got out of it with a hip toss. Hall got up and Steiner hit a Steinerline, and another and one big one as he covers Hall.

• Hall kicks out at two. As Steiner tries for the Bell-to-Belly Hall reverses it with a few double hand claps. Hall then hits a Wrist-lock followed by multiple shoulder blocks that stagger Steiner down into the middle rope. Hall turns Steiner so his neck is against the middle rope and stsrts choking Steiner with his knee. Hall then runs against the ropes and jumps on the back of Scott Steiner with a leg drop. Following that Steiner is trying to get some air back to his lungs, as he tries slowly to get to his feet Hall slaps the back of his head. Once Steiner reaches his feet Hall picks him up and does the Fall Away Slam. But instead of following up Scot turns his attention to Rick Steiner, as he taunts Rick Ted Dibease is holding him back and then Scott Hall shoves Ricks face with his foot which sets off the Dog Face Gremlin. Rick jumps to the ring but before getting up is restrained by the ref and Ted. While there all distracted a man with a Hollywood head band on jumps the rail.

Tenay questions him though “Why didn’t that man attack Macho Man Randy Savage then?” “Don’t question me Tenay.” Schiavone then sends it to the back where Mean Gene is with the Macho man himself.

I don’t get the respect I should from the younger guys in the back, the stars in back or anyone. I don’t even get the respect I deserve from Management, I’ll ask them for Bischoff they give me Hennig, I want Hogan they give me Page and I want the World Title shot and they say no we will give a chance to maybe go for the U.S. title. Everyone in WCW wants me to start from the bottom and work my way back up, and to do that I needed to prove I wouldn’t make any friends because if you make a friend they’ll just slow you down in whatever you’re trying to do. I am the limousine riding, jet flying, kiss stealing, wheeling dealing, son of a gun, I am the Nature Boy, I am the Greatest Pro Wrestler Ever, I am Ric Wooooo Flair.

Is crowd is very much behind Luger in this but we also hear some cheers for Nash as well as the match starts up. But before anything happens the NWO come down (With no Hogan, Savage, or Bischoff) to the ring and they stand at ringside for the match. Luger thinks he knows why there here, but Nash looks as though he doesn’t.
The speculation of why the NWO is there ends as Nash in mid match throws Luger to the floor and he is savaged by the NWO on the floor as Nash distracts the ref. When it looks like Nash is about to put Luger away with the jackknife Luger back body drops the big man out of it. Luger starts his comeback. He hits some rights that get Nash against the ropes, Nash misses a haymaker and Luger hits a Flying Forearm that drops Nash. Luger is getting really fired up as Nash gets up and Luger lifts the big man and hits a ring shaking backbreaker.
Luger then calls for the Torture Rack, if he gets this he most likely will get the win says Tenay. Luger picks him up and gets it locked on Nash, it looks like Nash will tap but then…….

That man is back with his object and runs in the ring and hits Luger in the kidney with it. As the ref rings the bell the man goes up the rampway and the NWO jump on Luger as the assault starts, as Nash is down in the corner.

Sting drops from the rafters in the ring behind the NWO with the bat in his hand. The NWO surrounds him hesitantly, but then Sting drops the bat and tells them to bring it. Vincent runs at him first and is sent over the top rope to a great reaction and then Sting starts fighting off the rest of the NWO with strikes. As it looks like the NWO is fighting a losing battle they retreat, as Sting stares them down at the head of the ring. Then from behind Kevin Nash hit Sting in the back with the bat Sting dropped, Sting falls to the mat on his stomach. As Nash goes for another shot Luger gets up and grabs the bat. Luger smacks Nash in the gut with and Nash falls and rolls to the floor.
Luger then starts threatening the NWO to come in the ring as Luger has the bat in hand. But then Sting gets up and sees Luger with the bat in his hand, Sting obviously still in pain from the bat shot starts saying “why?” Luger starts to say no, no it wasn’t me and Sting just doesn’t buy into it. Sting rips the bat from Luger’s hand and pushes him away with the bat. Sting exits the ring and goes through the crowd as the camera pans to an upset Lex Luger as WCW Monday Nitro goes off the air.

2nd Tuesday of January 1998

"The ratings came in for Nitro this week and we rose .06 on TNT, with Vince falling .04 on USA. I also loved how our last quarter hour got a 4.76, which is the highest quarter hour we've had in sometime. So I hear that Vince hired the Warrior back, which should be interesting. Seeing as how I've heard he has a terrible attitude and plus he hasn't been a regular in wrestling for what 2 years. The last time I remember seeing him in the WWF he was fired in 6 months, I guess WWF is just trying to bury them self so we don't have to do it for them. But that’s enough talk about the competition, now onto the important stuff in WCW. So the Flair-Dallas Feud is off to a good start, Flair voiced his opinion on him being upset with being disrespected. Then we had Dallas say he was the only one that still respected him then, and I loved that banter they had with the Woo’s and Bang’s, they really have good chemistry together. Hopefully the winner of this feud will have good chemistry against his next opponent which will be one of the five guys we talked about pushing in the creative meeting last week.

I am really pissed now though because I was just imagining him versus Hogan, Sting, me and anyone in WCW would be a huge blockbuster. But they just had to pick him up, hopefully we make up for that by getting Sid though.”

Mike Tyson Signs with World Wrestling Federation

Top boxing star, and 8 time boxing champion Mike Tyson has officially announced today that he has signed with the professional wrestling company, the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) He currently plans to attend the company's "Royal Rumble" on January 28th. When reporter Tom Hanks asked him if he was going to have any involvement in the matches that evening, Tyson merely laughed and said, " Nah, I'm just a big fan of the WWF, and it's a huge honor to be a part of the company." The multi-year contract will reportedly make him over 100,000 thousand dollars every month, which would make the boxer a millionaire in 1 year. It is also said that there is a possibility of a part time wrestling deal built in with the contract. "We are very glad we were able to reach an agreement, and we are certain that this will do great business for us here in the World Wrestling Federation." says Vincent McMahon, the owner of the pro wrestling company. "He will hopefully agree to wrestle in the future, but in the meantime, he will be happy watching Monday Night Raw in the back with the boys." said Vince with a chuckle. It is unsure what his role will be in the company, but what we can be sure of is a lot more viewers just started watching the WWF on TV, which can be seen on Monday and Sunday nights, in Monday Night Raw and Sunday Night Heat.
