TheWrestler32 Posted October 4, 2014 Author Share Posted October 4, 2014 GEW Mayhem: September Week 3 Pre-Show: Simon Diamond vs Jamie Knoble (E) Video Package Hyping the Main Event The Enforcer vs Road Warrior Animal Road Warrior Hawk vs Joe E Legend (D-) In an extremely short match, Hawk showed why the Road Warriors have been the most feared team in wrestling since they debuted in the 1980’s. Hawk makes short work of the new comer putting forth a very powerful showing. Hawk wins at the 4:45 mark with a fist-drop. Backstage: Steve Corino is being interviewed in the locker room by Jeremy Medrios who asks “Since our first show you have had problems with Tatanka, any thoughts before you face him on Sunday.” Corino answers “I have said it before and I will say it again Tatanka is like all the others in this company they are a waste, they are just trying to recapture lost glory. Someone needs to step up and take them out because they can’t figure out that it is over. On Sunday Tatanka, the “King of Old School” Steve Corino will finally put your career to bed.” (E) Avatar vs Flash Funk (D) The mysterious Avatar against the dancing man Flash Funk had a match that featured good action, but didn’t have very much heat from audience. Possibly setting up a re-match in the future, these two got so into fighting each other that when the match took to the floor they lost track of the count and both men ended up getting counted out leading to a draw via Double Count-Out. Backstage: We are back from the commercial and a camera brings us into the backstage area walking down a corridor, and then as we enter a bigger area we find a crowd of security guards are attempting to break up fight goes on. As we get closer we find out the fight is between Tatanka and Steve Corino, but we don’t really see too much of it as the camera got the fight as they were getting restrained away from each other. (E) Non-Title Match: © Bad Company vs The Fantastics (E+) Us in management thought nothing could be worse than last week’s match between Bad Company and Diamond & Swinger, but this one was close. It may be time for the belts to come off of Bad Company as they might be finally showing their ages as team and that they may not be able to be the top of the Tag Division anymore. Tanaka pins Fulton with the Rolling Kick at 7:43. A video pops up on the screen once again much like the last two weeks. The same thing the fans see nothing but a black screen, and hear nothing until a pixilated voice can be heard on the screen, and once again a new message can be heard. “Safety isn’t a reward if those who are supposed to keep you safe are corrupted by those who mean to hurt.” (C-) Mike Barton vs Taka Michinoku (D) In a bout that featured solid in-ring action but not much heat. Both me are looking to get back some momentum after losses from both guys on recent episodes of Mayhem. This match was somewhat a clash in styles however, when Taka went to the wheel one too many times Barton took advantage and got the win. Barton wins via pin-fall. Backstage: Kurt Angle is being interviewed by Jeremy Wilson whom asks Kurt his thoughts on his debut last week. “For those who may not know who I am let me introduce myself, my name is Kurt Angle and I am your Olympic Hero. I won the Gold at the 1996 Olympics, when I did that I became an American Hero as well. After I conquered the Olympics I needed something new and that’s why I broke into pro-wrestling. It won’t be long before you people see Kurt Angle with gold around his waist ‘Oh it True, It’s true, it’s damn true’.” (C+) The Enforcer vs Road Warrior Animal (D+) In a match that featured solid in-ring action and average saw #1 Contender The Enforcer collide with one half of the Legendary Road Warriors in Animal. This however, was a disappointing match between two big bulls as either Animal is showing that he can’t wrestle singles after being a team for so long or Enforcer isn’t ready. Enforcer wins with the Pump-Handle Slam. Post Match: Vader’s music starts and not long after Vader shows up on stage with his GEW World Title. Right when Vader shows up on stage Enforcer charges up the stage right at the World Champion. Before anything can happen, event staff & security cut them off blocking them from fighting. (Loud let them fight chat begins.) Right when Vader breaks through the show goes black as it ends with Vader charging at Enforcer. This match for the most part was all Tatanka and saw very little offense from The Shooter. Tatanka wins via the Tomahawk Chop at 7:32. Post Match: Tatanka grabs a microphone and begins to vent. “Last night at Flaming Youth, you saw me face Steve Corino. I am not making excuses but if anyone got a fluke win it was Corino because he used a foreign object to beat me. He also proved my point of being a punk kid who doesn’t have respect because he chose to cheat instead of trying to win with honor. Corino I am laying out the challenge right now one more match between us and let’s have end with a winner.” (D) Backstage: Mike Lockwood is being interviewed by Jeremy Wilson who asks “Lockwood thoughts on his title win last night.” Lockwood answers “Last night I showed that age and experience only take you so far and I also proved that I deserve to be champion. That’s why tonight I will be laying out a challenge to anyone backstage to fight me for my title tonight.” (E-) GEW Elite Title Match: (E) © Mike Lockwood vs Joel Deaton A feud that started in the Battle Royal back in July is now finally coming to a head 2 months later for the Elite title. Deaton some say is trying to hold onto past glory and will try and win at all costs, but others say Lockwood is hungry and ready for the title. Lockwood totally did his homework on the veteran and had a reversal for almost all of Deaton’s moves, this was a decent back n forth match. Then at 8:32 Lockwood caught Deaton with a surprise roll-up for the win. Following a commercial break we see The Enforcer in the ring with a microphone when we comeback. “Last night your World Champion showed he couldn’t beat me within the rules so he took the match to the floor to make sure he would at least stop me from getting a win. Vader last night you showed that you’re afraid to fight me. Last night you showed your nothing more than a coward. Now all I am asking is what I rightfully deserve and that is a shot one more time against Vader, but this time I pick the type of match. What’s fair is fair; it’s not my fault that the World Champion is scared of me.” © Kurt Angle vs Road Warrior Hawk (C-) Angle has been on a hot streak since debuting in GEW and it continued with an average match here tonight. The problem with this match though was the fact that it seems Hawk isn’t what he used be and either personal issues or time has taken affect on Hawk. However, once again Angle shows why GEW management touted him as the hottest Free Agent on the market putting in a solid match tonight and gets another win. 3-0 since debuting is Kurt Angle. A hype video is brought up on screen showing how dominant Vader has been thus far in GEW. © Avatar vs Tony Kozina (D-) For lack of a better word this match was nothing short of a squash match for the Avatar who came out of the match looking good. Things haven’t really gone the way the Avatar has hoped since debuting in GEW, but hopefully tonight begin a change in the Avatar’s momentum going forward. Avatar wins at 6:32 mark via pin-fall. Backstage: Steve Corino is being interviewed by Jeremy Wilson about “Tatanka’s comments about him earlier tonight.” Corino answers, “Well Well Well look who is complaining about a loss now Tatanka, I am now in the position you were in a couple of months ago. However, this time I didn’t get lucky like you did, last night I proved I was better then you and you can’t face the facts that I am right. Tatanka leave it alone and move on because you will never be lucky against the “King of Old School” Steve Corino again.” (E+) Championship Chase for a shot at the GEW World Title: (D) Unknown W vs Mike Barton vs Super Locco In a disappointing match between three of the top guys in GEW even though the match had solid in-ring action it had only average heat. This match showed the inexperience of the top level talents in GEW as usually when top talents are counted on they deliver but in this case they didn’t. This match disappointed those in management bad enough where everyone now must earn their spot in the company to stay in the company.
