Rampaaage Posted September 9, 2014 Share Posted September 9, 2014 I've found myself struggling to stay interested in my WWE 14 dynasty, and due to the many other great current day ones already going on, I've decided to try something else. I recently came across NWAvsWWF's year 2000 mod, and so I decided I would use that as my starting point. However, I'm having trouble deciding which show to run with. Then I realized, who better to decide than the readers themselves? So it will be up to you all to choose whether I run with the world's number one company, the WWF. Previously named Eastern Championship Wrestling, the company decided it was time for a change when "The Franchise" Shane Douglas won the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, and proceeded to throw the belt on the ground declaring himself the first ever 'ECW Heavyweight Champion' shedding the company's ties with the NWA in the process. Since that date the Paul Heyman ran company has played host to some of the most hardcore moments in wrestling history, and has been the home of many of the world's most unorthodox pro wrestling characters. While the real ECW closed it's doors in early 2001, our company is hoping for a different fate. What's Happening In ECW? The company has recently taken a huge hit when it lost former ECW World Champion Tazz and 8-time Tag Team Champions The Dudley Boyz. Mike Awesome is the reigning World Champ after taking the title from Masato Tanaka, whilst RVD looks to continues his dominant 20 month reign as the Television Champion. The third ECW belt, the Tag Team Championship belongs to bitter rivals Tommy Dreamer and Raven, who despite their differences have managed to hold onto the titles since August. *OOC: I'm going to try to emulate ECW's product from a promo/hardcore type stand point to the best of my ability, however I was very young during the time of ECW and my knowledge of the company stems only from documentaries, DVDs, and YouTube videos, although I am quite familiar with a lot of the wrestlers. The current name is misleading, as it looks like it is still in the poll stage, and will net you probably a lot more people checking things out if it says it's an ECW 2k game. Good luck!
