questions about tv show and touring schedule

Recommended Posts

I asked this in the small questions thread, but I wanted to get this in the open and see if I got any extra responses.

I've gotten Pro Wrestling USA up to regional status and have gotten a tv time slot, with shows to tape Friday and air Sunday. Now here is what I'm curious about:

Currently I'm on a touring schedule, which would make my tv show nothing but a highlights package. I'm considering booking my tv show every week, but I don't want to overwork my roster, as I've been using pretty much everybody for every touring event so far. However, with my show being only an hour long, I could spread things out and only have to use certain workers every other show.

Where I'm going with this is: which is better as far as ratings, finances, etc etc? Keeping my touring schedule and having my tv show be a highlight show, or start booking my tv show. And if I do book my tv show, can I still have other events besides just my 1 hour a week tv show? Thanks in advance all.

Here's gonna be your major issue with a touring schedule and TV especially in the US. Touring Highlights packages don't raise your overness in the region they show in. It just counts as a visit so you don't lose any overness. If you are on a regular schedule and book individual shows the shows will raise your overness in every region its shown (assuming yu get a good enough show to raise it).

From my understanding, the weekly TV shows aren't a big deal in real life Japan so I don't think the game is unrealistic in that regard. The major exposure for Japanese companies is the television broadcast of the major shows. In-game wise, those major shows would be your PPVs instead of Clash of the Champions-esque TV specials, but the game isn't that far off.

If anything touring companies should be nerfed. Usually all but one or two shows on a tour are house shows that should be drawing much smaller crowds than they do in the game and not increasing the popularity the company.

My thoughts exactly when seeing CPU NJPW booking 10k capacity arenas for their 3 tour shows a week.
