NWA Big Seven: World Class Championship Wrestling Von Erich VS Freebirds

If you haven't seen my Big Seven NWA dynasty that I used to do then here is a description of what the Big Seven is.

It's 1983 and the NWA is on fire with great talent and successful programs. But Vince McMahon and the WWF are looking for Global Expansion as Vince decided to leave the NWA in December of 1982 and the NWA looks to be forming cracks via this. Promoters are trying to keep there on talent and they are losing touch with the original roots of the NWA. NWA President Bob Geigel is seeing this transpire before him and he is trying to stop it, so what Bob decides to do is kick companies out of the NWA so he can keep only the trusted companies inside the most powerful governing body in wrestling. He and the other promoters have decided that only seven companies will survive this pretty much split. No company is safe, there will be a New Year’s day meeting and the companies that will be taken out will be voted on by each and every promoter. Also to add to this the seven companies left in the NWA will all own a share in a separate company under the NWA banner. This separate company will host 12 shows a year, 1 for each month and this company will have the NWA World, Tag Team, U.S., and Junior Heavyweight titles. The goal of this separate entity under the NWA banner will be to have talents from all seven of the NWA promotions go to the one show a month and show off the great talent the National Wrestling Alliance has to offer. These shows will not stop the “Big Seven” NWA companies from doing there on storylines and having their own big shows. The entity is to bring the “Big Seven” together in unity and put on the greatest show possible for the greatest fans so they can see that the NWA is where the best wrestling all across the world is.

The seven companies in the Big Seven are as followed, CWA, MACW, PNW, NJPW, C-State, GCW and WCCW. I will be taking control of Fritz Von Erichs WCCW in the middle of January 1983. The reason it is the middle of January is because I will just be using the same shows I used in my Big Seven dynasty and will post those shows in the Index which will be below. So I hope you enjoy this rendition of WCCW as apart of the Big Seven NWA.

Breaking News!!!!!

In very sad and heart breaking news, the NWA President and Central States Wrestling Owner Bob Geigel was found dead in his home in Kansas City after suffering a heart attack. Bob's passing was very unexpected and has not only crushed many wrestlers but many fans have been seen paying there respects to Geigel.
Geigel's passing also marks the first time an NWA President has passed away in history, and as of now it is unknown who will replace him as NWA President but it is confirmed that Sam Muchnick will take his place as C-States Owner. The NWA Presidentship is another story though, as Jim Crockett is saying that he is the rightful President while Jim Barnett is saying he deserves to be president and Jerry Jarrett and Jerry Lawler are trying to make themselves conjoined Presidents...

Meanwhile on the Adkisson Ranch...

Jack(Fritz Von Erich)- (Rubs his face and wipes a little tear from his eye after hearing Bob passed. He dials the phone and calls up Jerry Jarrett.) Jerry did you hear?

Jerry- Yep, Bob passed away from a heart attack just when he was leading us, god bless his soul. But we still have to move forward with this or Vince will destroy us, we can't let Bob's passing destroy the NWA. He'd want us to move and keep going with making sure the NWA stays alive.

Jack- Yeah, but we should give him some sort of a tribute show. The NWA can pay for it.

Jerry- I don't know about that John, because now we all gotta decide on a new president. Me and Lawler got the idea of me and him becoming conjoined Presidents and spreading the leg work between us.

Jack- Wait.. You just said the NWA wouldnt hold a Tribute show for him? I think we need to have the board vote on this.

Jerry- Yeah we can call a meeting and discuss that and the new president.

Jack- Dont be selfish Jerry right now lets focuss on the man who mad the NWA Seven real. We need a tribute for him.

Jerry- I don't think....

NWA Board Meeting

January 20th 1983

7:35 PM

(Six Members of the NWA Board are at this meeting Sam Muchnick (Temporary Owner of C-State), Jim Crockett, Jerry Jarret, Jim Barnett, Don Owen, and Me, Jack Adkisson (Fritz Von Erich). Antonio Inoki couldn’t get a flight to the U.S. on such short notice so he would not be able to attend this meeting.

Now, the scene is the seven men sitting around a classy wooden table with Sam Muchnick Sitting at the head of the table on one end with Jim Barnett to his right and Jim Crockett to his left, next to Crockett is me (Fritz) and across from me next to Barnett is Jarrett with Don Owen next to him. We kept the Presidents chair at the other end of the table empty in memory of Bob and before we started we all gave a cheer to Bob with drink. Sam would start)

Sam Muchnick- (In a kind of quiet voice he says) Gentlemen, we are all here to discuss the future of the NWA. Bob was a good man and was the most respected member of the National Wrestling Association (Alliance) and he would be more than happy to see his dream of the Seven companies of the NWA go down with him. So first of all I’d like to pass it over to Mr. Barnett who wanted to start off the meeting discussing NWA President spot.

Jim Barnett- Thank you Mr. Muchnick. Ok so we are all business men here and we all know to keep this NWA dream alive we must do what is best for the NWA and after the lackluster revenue of the NWA Pay-Per-View I think the first thing we need to do is hold off the Championship Clash Pay-Per-View with all of our wrestlers. We can’t afford to fly them all into one part of the country twice a month or even one time a month. What we must do is stop these monthly shows, we can maybe do two a year but that’s it no more than that.

Don Owen- Jim, we’re here to tribute Bob and the first thing you think about is money. What we should think about is a tribute show for Bob, for all he did for the NWA.

Jim Barnett- We just don’t have that kind of money to send the talents to one states for a show.

Jim Crockett- Jimmy, a question to what you said before. If we would cancel Championship Clash, what would happen to the matches that were scheduled?

Jim Barnett- They would take place on a show for the specific company. We can get the champions to drive from company to company to defend there titles.

Don Owen- So the guys we chose to be champions and be most important for the NWA are gonna have to go from territory to territory because some of you guys are too cheap to pay for wrestler transportation.

Jim Barnett- It saves money Don, GCW isn’t doing to hot in Money Situation right now so this is for the best.

Don Owen- Is it best for the NWA or for you?

Jim Barnett- The NWA is always my highest priority.

Don Owen- If that’s true then you would do anything to pay tribute to the man that has helped build up the NWA.

Jerry Jarrett- Ok lets just calm down now. Lets try to think about his rationally.

Jack Adkisson- I think the rational thing to do would be to hold a tribute show for Bob.

Jim Crockett- Money is tight though, we can’t drop everything and send our guys to one place again after the costly mistake we made with the Pay-Per View.

Don Owen- This isn’t about money this is about giving Bob his proper respect!!

Sam Muchnick- Now lets just hold on a second. Everyone in this room knows Bob Geigel was a great man and his primary goal was to help the NWA, so paying tribute is the best way to send him off.

Jim Barnett- I respect you thinking that way Mr. Muchnick, but the money isn’t there.

Don Owen- This isn’t about the god dam money Jim!!

Jim Crockett- We need to do whats best for the NWA and what’s best is to cut down on the amount of conjoined shows we do.

Don Owen- Is that whats best for the NWA or for your company?

Jim Crockett- Both, I’m not gonna just break my bank for this. We need focus on Bob’s death not destroying the NWA, because then Vince will just take over.

Jerry Jarrett- That’s true.

Don Owen- Jerry, Bob was a great man and was the whole reason for this Big Seven decision.

Jim Barnett- And look where that decision got us, that Pay-Per View was a disaster. The money we lost will not only cost us but possibly the Wrestling Industry as well.

Don Owen- We could fix it. Championship Clash can be a huge event.

Jim Crockett- It might be but we’ll never know because it won’t happen.

Don Owen- That is not your decision your not the President.

Jim Crockett- Well I damn well should be.

Jim Barnett- Jim I think we know that I am one of the most experienced owners here and have one of the top rosters. So we know I am the rightful president.

Jerry Jarrett- Presidency doesn’t require you to have a good roster or be very experienced at all. It requires you to make smart decisions and do what is best for the majority. Which is why me and Lawler believe we both could share the presidency.

Sam Muchnick- Two Presidents can not hold an Presidency spot together. That would cause uneven decisions for the board adding Lawler.

Jack Adkission- Come on guys what needs to be done is one thing, some sort of tribute show for the man that made the Big Seven reality, Bob.

Jim Barnett- We’re not doing that Jack.

(Don slams his hands on the table)

Don Owen- You’re an ungrateful little bastard you know that.

(Don gets up and leaves the room while Barnett looks at him shocked.)

Sam Muchnick- This is out of control. (Weirdly he says) Two Presidents can’t hold the presidency spot together and if he wants to leave over that let him.

Jack Adkission- No, Sam…

Jim Barnett- Yea let him go. He doesn’t know anything anyway.

Jack Adkission- I’ll go get him.

Jim Barnett- Let him go.

(Jack Leaves the room)

Don Owen- Those guys think that we shouldn’t honor the men who helped the NWA more then any of us, there despicable.

Jack Adkission- I agree with you that we should honor Bob, but we shouldn’t make his death cause the whole NWA to spiral out of control. We need to stand strong.

Don Owen- Jack I like you, but Barnett and Crockett are way out of line saying we don’t have the money to fund it. We could just make his memorial show the Championship Clash show.

Jack Adkission- Don I don’t think they’ll come on our side to be honest.

Don Owen- Well we will see now, I’m gonna go take a vote.

Jack Adkission- I don’t think you’ll like the result Don.

(Don Owen then goes back in to the meeting room where Barnett, Crockett, and Jarrett are discussing future plans for the NWA. Don says)

Don Owen- Ok, right now I want to take a vote.

Jim Barnett- Fine

(He rips a piece of paper into 6 pieces and tells them to write if they think we should tribute Bob Geigel. After everyone writes there answer down Don collects them and sits down to read them.)

Don Owen- Yes, No, No, No, Yes, Central States. Who wrote Central States?

Sam Muchnick- That’s the promotion I run.

Don Owen- No Sam, were choosing whether or not to tribute Bob Geigel.

Sam Muchnick- What happened to Bob?

Don Owen- He passed away, don’t you remember that’s why you’re here.

Sam Muchnick- Um, yes I remember now. God bless his soul.

Don Owen- So do you think we should hold a tribute show for him?

Sam Muchnick- Yes, Bob was a great man.

Jim Barnett- Oh C’mon just face facts, we cannot afford the show Don.

Don said as soon as possibly and then I just thought of the idea of attributing Bob on the New Year Star Wars show and some of Don’s guys along with him could be there. A Few Phone Calls

(The day after the NWA Board meeting and everything with Barnett, Crockett, Owen, and myself (Jack Adkission) happen I got a few phone calls. First me and Owen would talk about who he would send to me for New Years Star Wars which is getting dedicated to Bob. We'd then talk about the state of the NWA. After Don, i got a call from Jim Barnett who was looking to make amends with me after what happened.)

Don Owen:

So Jack who were you thinking about having me send to you for the show?

Well your roster has become reall fascinating over the last month but I think I have narrowed my choice down. Either Buddy Rose and Curt Hennig or The Blackjacks.

Don Owen:

Hmm, The Blackjacks would be the most popular choice I'd presume. Who would they face?

Jack Adkission:

I had the idea of The Blackjacks either facing The ??????? who I will be debuting soon or having them challenge the Freebirds Gordy and Hayes for the Tag Team Championships.

Don Owen:

What would Hennig and Rose do?

Jack Adkission:

I would put Rose against Chris Adams, and Hennig go after ("Killer") Tim Brooks.

Don Owen:

I personally think The Blackjacks would be the better fit down there for the night. But it's your choice who you make them go against.
