Wow. You and Benoit were let go awfully quick by the Harts.

What version are you using?

Between 1 and 2, I like 1 better. It allows the wrestlers to improve the actual way, through experience and training. There are also run ins and interviews that are always interrupted. You can go to the promotion and ask for a feud with the wrestler that is interrupting you if you want.

Also, feel free to copy whatever format you want from me. I don't have any copyrights to them.

Good luck to Flyin' Brian.

I once got 5 years into a career with The Undertaker but I ended up getting the dreaded career ending neck injury and I had autosave on. I was only a year away from getting Mean Mark Callous into the Mid-Atlantic territory, which I would have used as WCW. I recommend having auto save off and saving after each day manually so that it won't happen to you.

Thanks for the advice with autosave, I'm currently using Version 1.1 so I'm just wondering if that would still be V1. Also, which company did you have the most amount of fun in?

That would still be the original WS, which I love best out of the 3 (WS, WS2, WS3).

During my first go around, Central States was pretty good as Mark hooked up a few times against Terry Funk and Harley Race. Mark's popularity jumped a bunch as he was in a tag team match in which we won the titles from Funk & Race. I also liked CWA where I got to wrestle with Austin Idol and Jerry Lawler.

The one that I had the most fun was in whichever one I was in at the time. I also tried to limit myself to 2 territories at the same time and not having may conflicts in match dates.

By the time of the major neck injury, my "overness" was at 89 in the USA.

Great match between you and the future Hillbilly Jim.

I tried a different way of reporting the matches back then but here is the link in case you want to take a look.

Great stuff here. Thanks for sharing it. I really need to dust off the game and start a career for old time's sake.

It has been quite some time since I have played the very first WS. Having said that, I've always been partial to WS2. The last versions of D.O.T.T. released for WS2 were pretty much the best of the bunch (imho). Heck, just reading the various results, the data is pretty much an old school fan's wet dream*. Steel Belt wrestling? Come on... that's awesome. :D

The only bad thing about WS2 is the somewhat repetitive booking engine. But the ability to follow the game world (which WS3 ditched) makes it a much lesser hassle than it once was.

If you are taking requests for wrestlers to be followed, could you consider The Spoiler (GCW) and maybe Colonel Ninotchka (GLOW)?

* = I very rarely toot my own horn - but when it comes to D.O.T.T., I think I deserve it. Heh.

I like the blow-by-blow method. It gives the reader a chance to picture the match as it takes place. It's like having a ringside seat.

For some reason the save won't appear even though it's clearly in the save folder, any suggestions on what is wrong?

The game file won't appear in Saved Games folder and is probably located in the DOTT folder:

1) click Wrestling Spirt

2) click data

3) click DOTT

4) should show up there as a folder

Give that a try.
