lukess1
WCW Nitro Week 1, September 1995

We start off with a video package detailing Sting and Ric Flair’s feud so far. (90)

The first match ever in Nitro history, was Renegade defending against Brian Pillman for the TV title. Pillman started it off by flying around the ring, hitting all his spots. As Pillman went for Air Pillman, Renegade charged the ropes, knocking Pillman to a sitting position. Pillman pushes him off, and hits the Air Pillman for the win. (64)

Our second match was a world title match between Hogan and the Shark. This match surprisingly had no involvement from the Dungeon of Doom. Hogan kept control the whole match, until Shark found the ref down and hit Hogan with a chair. Hogan ended up coming back, and hitting a leg drop for the win. (80)

After this, Ric Flair came out and promised he had backup that Sting would be surprised by.

Sting and Ric Flair main evented the first Nitro ever. Sting and Flair were having an even match, when Sting hit a Stinger Splash. Flair kicked out at two. Flair then started to fight back, but Sting ended up getting the best of the encounter.
