Rebooking Nitro's

Recommended Posts

Hello, guys! It's my second dynasty, new format and a new company. I'm taking control of WCW, trying to give the company a new life. It's January 2000, we have three weeks to build towards Souled Out PPV.

Bret Hart is a current WCW World Heavyweight champion, he has no challengers yet, but he has a terrible headache... his new allies are Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett (who also has a minor injury). NWO 2000 looks not as strong as a couple of years ago, but still, those four can rule the fed. 10 men Battle Royal (our answer to WWF's Royal Rumble) will give us a guy who will step in the ring with "The Hitman" 3 weeks from now.

WCW Tag Team titles are vacant, so our commissioner Roddy Piper made a "Joker Wild" tag tournament to coronate the champions. The trick is, only new tags can enter the competition. No Blue Bloods, no Filthy Animals, no Revolution - all new and wild!

Madusa is our current cruiserweight champion, so Piper booked Berlyn and Juventud Guerrera to decide who is the number one contender should be. Norman Smiley, however, faces Brian Adams and his hardcore title will be on the line!

So, the announced card for first Nitro of 2000 is:

  1. Berlyn vs. Juventud Guerrera
  2. Kanyon and Mike Sanders vs. The Cat and Disco Inferno
  3. Brian Adams vs. Norman Smiley ©
  4. Booker T and Konnan vs. Stevie Ray and Big T
  5. Mike Rotunda vs. Meng vs. Vampiro vs. Bugwell vs. Diamond Dallas Page vs. Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. Lex Luger vs. Terry Funk vs. Sid Vicious

Kevin Nash dropped his wallet and ended up in a Battle Royal for the number one contendership! A coincidence or an evil plan? We will know at Thunder, all we can sure about is that Bret Hart's headache stays where it stands.

Roddy Piper books Scott Steiner in a match against Vampiro, to calm the roid guy a little bit. Jeff Jarrett still is not medically clear to compete...

Berlyn will meet Madusa for the WCW Cruiserweight championship 3 weeks from now. Will there be any comments from the title holder?

Jim Duggan and Filthy Animals take on Malenko, Saturn and Douglas! The main target for heels will be the old guy, because he's old, and he's a patriot!

The Team of The Cat and Disco Inferno and the team of Booker T and Konnan qualified for second round of Joker Wild Tag Tournament. Two more matches to see at Thunder.

Bam Bam Bigelow gave Norman Smiley a few days to decide his fate. Screaming guy could align with "The Beast from The East" or pick up a bodyguard to defend himself against the big guy.

Finally, we know that Diamond Dallas Page faces Bret Hart for the title in Souled Out 2000 main event. Ric Flair helped DDP, so "The Nature Boy" is expected at the Thursday Show too!

So, the announced card for first Thunder of 2000 is:

  1. Jim Duggan, Rey Mysterio and Billy Kidman vs. The Revolution (Dean Malenko, Perry Saturn, Shane Douglas)
  2. Lash Le Roux and Jungle Jim vs. Ice Train and Tank Abbott
  3. Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero vs. Lex Luger and Buff Bugwell
  4. Scott Steiner vs. Vampiro
  5. Diamond Dallas Page vs. Kevin Nash

January 2000, Week 1

South East, Jacksonville Memorial Center (10,952)

Pre-Show

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Dustin Rhodes defeated Steve Armstrong in 7:54 by pinfall with a Bulldog. 46/100

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Parka & Kaz defeated Lane & Lodi in 7:56 when La Parka defeated Lodi by pinfall with a Sky Twister Press. 37/100

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Evan Karagias defeated Tony Marinara in 8:25 by submission. 34/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Brian Knobbs defeated Crowbar in 8:21 by pinfall. 38/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Hugh Morrus defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr. in 7:59 by submission. 50/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, The Blue Bloods defeated The Mamalukes in 7:47 when Steven Regal defeated Johnny The Bull by pinfall with an Exploder Suplex. 45/100

One hour of pre-show, that is a lot. I did that to please the locker room, which morale is somewhere near 40-50 %. Everybody was booked this week, so no complains expected. What else I can say? Brian Knobbs is absolutely horrific! I wanted to fire him, but Hogan popped out and said smth like "Think again, brother". Lenni and Lodi are awful too, plus they were drunk. I was surprised by the last dark match though, it went OK. Also i felt bad after booking two good teams (Blue Bloods and La Parka and Hayashi) with two of the worst. Next time I will have only 3 dark matches, I promise.

Main Show

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1123/43/ec50cf18839314155b26fb6729e42043.jpg

Roddy Piper comes out to officially announce that Diamond Dalas Page will face Bret Hart at Souled Out for the title, that Steiner gets a punishment for beating an innocent man on the parking lot last Monday, and that we have two tournament matches left. No signs of NWO, the segment went quietly. 59/100

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, The Revolution (Dean Malenko, Shane Douglas and Perry Saturn) defeated Jim Duggan and Filthy Animals (Rey & Kidman) in 10:26 when Shane Douglas defeated Jim Duggan by pinfall with a Franchiser. 66/100

After the match Shane Douglas approached the limp body of Jim Duggan, and asked him how long it would take Jim to pack his bags and leave WCW? No answer... Malenko then grabbed Jim's log and started to choke the veteran with it. American soul won't quit, it would suffer instead. 53/100

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1123/9a/78dfa1f890e5f6d2c572fbe84c91699a.jpg

Norman Smiley has an interview with Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. He says that he avoided contacts with criminals all his life, and he won't let Bam Bam to manipulate him! Norman says that a couple of guys in the locker room could defend him from a potential beating, because they're superior fighters with lots of experience! Norman says he is not afraid. 64/100

In an extremely short match, Ice Train and Tank Abbott defeated Lash LeRoux and Jungle Jim in 1:08 when Tank Abbott defeated Jungle Jim by KO. 31/100

After a block of commercails, Madusa gets in the ring to deliver a message to Berlyn. "I won't give up that quick!". After another couple of courageous words, The Creative Control in the face of Gerald and Patrick surround the ring, and soon eliminate the cruiserweight champion with a double chokeslam! It looks like a neck injury, folks, medical staff puts a neckbrace on unconscious Madusa. Why did they attack her? 50/100

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1123/7a/d9b58d99eed88760003b3525209b1e7a.jpghttp://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1123/96/bd73439f63df2b1ff88e470299628396.jpg

Buff jumps around Lex Luger, tries to be funny. He even jokes around with Elizabeth, but Lex is not in the mood. He could be a number one contender now, but instead he has to compete in some stupid tournament for tag titles he doesn't want to hold! Bugwell agrees, but only to please "The Total Package"... all three head to the ring, that match is next! 57/100

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Eddie & Benoit defeated Buff Bugwell and Lex Luger in 10:15 when Chris Benoit defeated Buff Bagwell by Crippler Crossface. 70/100

Norman Smiley enters the locker room, and screams immediately after opening the door. Bam Bam Bigelow sips juice on the bench, with bodies of Rick Steiner and Kevin Sullivan beign knocked out cold.

"Your protection needs a little more protection."

Norman runs away, screaming in fear. 53/100

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1123/a3/ee119fdf0dfe037577fb7504bc6dc1a3.jpg

Ric Flair cut a promo about the upcoming singles match between his good buddy Diamond Dallas Page and Kevin Nash. DDP thanks "The Naitch" in the process, they compliment each other and bump into Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner.

No words dropped, but you can cut the air with knife in that area. 82/100

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Scott Steiner defeated Vampiro in 11:06 by pinfall after a distraction from Jeff Jarrett. 70/100

Vampiro got screwed by Double J, what an unpleasant feeling that must be! The gagging US champion and "The Biggest Arms in the World" leave the arena victorious. 48/100

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1123/ef/7c7197387d14f79a306eae76ff63a8ef.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1123/5f/13178d7f95a5d1938438bb951589165f.jpg

Meng and Sid Vicious are standing near the catering, chewing some food. Meng eats from his hands, Sid looks at him in disgust and gives him a fork…

AAAARGHHH!

As soon as Meng grabbed the fork, he stabbed Sid with it! Bon Appetit! 72/100

Bret Hart and Kevin Nash are in the back, talking. "Hitman" is unhappy with Kev's recent actions. Kev says it was a coincidence, and it looks like Hart doesn't believe his patner in crime. "If you came here to blame me, do it!"

Hart is silent, Nash says "Fine" and leaves the locker room. 73/100

In a match that had some good action and a good crowd, Diamond Dallas Page defeated Kevin Nash in 13:22 by pinfall. 75/100

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1123/df/ffcf7e9cc266803120937ec41dccf0df.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1123/a5/70154f5821a5a4350d26f152628060a5.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1123/27/b07d13619e48fc446f6e20bc6b4c1127.jpg

Diamond Dallas Page made "Big Sexy" lose again... He quickly gets out of the ring to walk up the ramp, clapping hands with fans. Bret Hart comes out, Diamond points at the big gold belt and nods in approval... but Bret is out not for mind games, he wants to help his friend! He gets in the ring and offers Nash a hand, but Kev slams it away, leaving the ring pissed off. Hart is confused, NWO 2000 has group conflicts on the first week of it's existence! 74/100

Final rating: 75/100 (2.71 on TBS)

Lost popularity in 1 region.

That was a pretty good show comparing to Nitro, but still bad if comparing to WWF's Raw or SmackDown! First of all, Piper drops the ratings down, he has every damn minus in the dirt sheet. Fork skit and Flair's promo lifted the show quality up, also we had a good main event and 2 decent matches in the undercard. It's also funny that I booked Thunder better than Nitro, my mistake. DDP now sits on the first place in the "Who's Hot" rank, so we do well. Our champ, however, is not even in the top 5, and that is understandable.

Madusa suffered a brutal neck injury past week, so Roddy Piper has to pick another challenger for the Berlyn. It is likely that Madusa will vacate the title...

Bam Bam Bigelow continues to intimidate the WCW hardcore champion Norman Smiley. After bold statements made by the screaming guy, Bigelow showed us why he is one of the baddest dudes in the locker room.

Meng and Sid brawled in the catering area last Thursday, and we feel like the thing is only starting to pick up. After mocking Meng's "culture", Sid got a fork in the knee. Will Sid take his revenge on the barbarian?

The Revolution just can't get rid off Jim Duggan. They beat him for how many times now? Nevertheless, "The Patriot" continues to withstand the pressure of the younger generation. Maybe it's time to say goodbye?

We have our first semi final on Nitro. It's gonna be Booker T and Konnan vs. Tank Abbott and Ice Train. Winner advances to the final, which is scheduled to take place on Souled Out PPV.

Finally, the sweetest part of the show. NWO...

Jeff Jarrett is informed that he will defend his US championship at Souled Out. No challengers were named yet, but it's obvious that Double J meets a powerful opposition. Scott Steiner stepped on Piper's toes for a couple of times now, and "Big Poppa Pump" doesn't feel like he had enough. Kevin Nash, who lost clear 2 times now, follows the true leader of the faction to his first main event after a brain damage. In a PPV-quality main event, Bret Hart takes on a man that sticked his nose in the World Title picture more than anyone in the world - "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair! Two legends collide in a non-title match up. Diamond Dallas Page surely be in the building too, and is likely to watch his new best friend's back in the last bout of the night.

January 2000, Week 2

Tri State, Manley Field House (9,207)

Pre-Show

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Crowbar defeated Mike Sanders in 5:50 by pinfall with a Northern Lights Suplex. 32/100

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, The Mamalukes defeated Jungle Jim and Lash LeRoux in 8:13 when Big Vito defeated Jungle Jim by pinfall with an Impaler DDT. 27/100

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Dustin Rhodes defeated Reno in 6:16 by pinfall with a Bulldog. 50/100

Reno and Jungle Jim (aka Chuck Palumbo) are getting a lot of heat from the fans for beign plain bad. All of the matches were penalised for poor gimmicks, low momentum and surprise-surprise, low locker room morale. First two are the reason why this guys are in dark matches, but third is something I will deal very soon.

So, what I expect from the main show? At least 75 as a final rating, momentum boost for Bret Hart and some overall increase in storyline's heat. Here we go!

Main Show

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/c1/5cf65df93673c625d929c2ce36717dc1.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/d2/4433a5d7a10bf71ed05133bacfccfed2.jpghttp://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/dc/3e682a586efa615fab8de07f001c82dc.jpg

NWO heads to the ring, Jarrett laughs after every joke by Nash and Steiner told on the way. But the main man of the faction, the world heavyweight champion Bret Hart, is serious as a wall.

"Ric Flair, you poor old bastard, stop picking your nose in the NWO buisness, that doesn't concern you at all! Same goes to Page, you might be lucky to beat Kevin Nash two times, but you'll never beat the NWO!"

Nash doesn't like that Hart mentioned his losing streak at the Prime Time TV show, but he becomes even more upset when Ric Flair cuts him off! "The Nature Boy" talks about all those NWO versions that were destroyed, and says that this time it's no different.

"Hitman, you want to shut me up? You will have a chance to do it, tonight, in this very ring, while all these fans watch you, WOO!". Hart looks at Flair's eyes, forgetting to blink. A nice stare down closes the opening segment. 70/100

Hart and Nash suffered because of the gimmicks they play. Everything else is about the locker room morale, not so great.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Chavo Guerrero Jr. drew with Juventud Guerrera, La Parka and Kaz Hayashi in 12:00 when the referee was forced to rule a no contest when all hell broke loose after The Creative Control (Gerald and Patrick) hit the ring and demolished the cruiserweights one after another. During the match Bobby Heenan confirmed that the WCW Cruiserweight title is vacated... 41/100

Not a very good way to handle a first match, but the story needed it. Chavo needs a new gimmick ASAP! Piper has no idea why Gerald and Patrick keep interfering in the cruiesrweight matches.

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/3e/104611f3cb431a858db5142d0c55433e.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/cd/d6a47d221efe2f98eef5ef1cd379d9cd.jpg

Piper swears at the Gorilla Position, outraged by the outcome of the opener. Norman Smiley approaches the table and asks Roddy Piper to let him skip tonight's show and be booked at Thunder. Piper saks why is that, and Smiley tells "It's about Bam Bam...".

Piper starts to laugh. "I thought you are not afraid of him! Fine, go home then." 54/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Rick Steiner in 7:39 by pinfall. 55/100

Building up Bam Bam. Currently he's taking out guys on his way, just to make Norman Smiley a madman.

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/0a/b51b5838b2806ddd79c805b7e4a5120a.jpg

Time for a little vignette. It's Sid Vicious, he walks slowly after Meng stabbed him with a fork last Thursday. Vicious approaches Meng's private locker room, knocks on the door and apologizes for his recent disrespectful actions. Meng is confused, he invites Sid in his private belongings and they have a conversation... 74/100

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/0b/7946d12ad931accd4fe287074a35dd0b.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/9d/9921d38588a9a36d0157c5c72e3e5d9d.jpghttp://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/53/252f35f2d4c80d693d557d02b933ff53.jpghttp://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/12/d567867c1103b4ab8670f0404511f312.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/e8/95caed6d552ec4c624ac1d6f2342c4e8.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/5d/fea58e7c73bef02e385e8dc6a0c8b35d.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/02/7edc049e5820ea4f2d9470eca6b54902.jpg

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Jim Duggan and Eddie & Benoit defeated The Revolution (Perry Saturn, Dean Malenko and Shane Douglas) in 8:49 when Eddie Guerrero defeated Dean Malenko by pinfall with a Frog Splash. 69/100

This match gave some hope in tonight's main event rating. And yeah, Duggan finally did it, he came off the ring unharmed and in a good mood. Eddie and Chris love working together, that boosted a match for sure.

We hear some noises from the Meng's place, sounds like struggle! Again, nobody wants to be the part of the wild brawl, so Sid does his thing and leaves the room with arms covered in blood... sick smile of Sid Vicious takes us to the next segment.

http://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/dd/87f1a9a674cd20576129ec064ec90edd.jpg

It's a pre-taped video from Vampiro. Vampiro wants to talk about fake people like Jeff Jarrett. Everything about him makes Vampiro sick - his smile, his voice, his gestures, his wife, his stable, his music theme. All about him... but last week Vampiro saw something that was the fakest thing he ever saw in his life. Scott Steiner bullied some poor guy at the parking lot, and Jarrett joined him. No-no-no... Vampiro knows that Jarrett was bullied all his life prior to this moment, and never had the guts to stand up for himself. Jarrett is a coward, with a fake championship reign and fake friends. Vampiro challanges Jarrett to a match at Souled Out, and believe him - Jarrett will simulate his fake injury for another couple of days just to avoid the fight with Vampiro... 62/100

Not so bad, but I hoped for 67-69. Do you like this kind of commentary, people? Let me know.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Konnan and Booker T defeated Ice Train and Tank Abbott in 8:34 when Booker T defeated Tank Abbott by Book End. During the match we also had Stevie Ray accidentally hit Ice Train with a baseball bat. 51/100

This match would be OK to be third, but as semi-main event it bombed. I predicted it, but still, I'm disappointed. Tank got 7 minuses in the dirt sheet, and that's too much.

Ric Flair had an interview hyping his upcoming singles match with Bret Hart. 77/100

Random, but it did good for us. Fingers crossed, hope for a better grade than this in the main event...

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1124/a2/0046d0af70fa5ff70e8486dd7466d3a2.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1124/6d/3939fb1ab54f4538b28c41631f9e0c6d.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1124/7f/5d8cd726b4c9460a72f2f6e1bd446b7f.jpg

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Bret Hart defeated Ric Flair in 15:50 by pinfall with a Victory Roll after a distraction from Kevin Nash. 84/100

WOOHOO! That's a lot for the TV show, but I'm happy. What a match!

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1125/6b/8b6bc62d17ef4df0a158c1a1f91cad6b.jpg

Ric Flair is being attacked by Nash and Hitman in the ring. Seeing the assault, Diamond Dallas Page comes running in and fights them both off, saving Flair from a serious beating. Diamond Dallas Page applauds to his fellow, that was indeed a great effort. Both men hug and we end the show with another happy ending. 77/100

Final Rating: 75/100 (3.87 on TNN)

Increased popularity in 18 regions, lost in one.

Awesome last match, even with low momentum and declining physical abilities those two stole the show. I completed my target, but I should really concentrate on ratings, not on funny stories. Ratings rise slowly + 0.09, that's good. Bret's momentum is where it was - at 68. Backstage rating is 52% How can I increase it dramatically? I already provided all the comfort possible, I guess firing some assholes could help.

Before I even started a game I decided to do some "cuts". People like David Flair were sent home, but after looking at the whole roster again, I decided that the new wave of realeses could be a major interaction for you, dear readers. Starting from now, our prediction contest will have a special gimmick.

So, to show my appreciation to the guys that made their predictions, I give them a chance to fire someone they don't like. The current rank looks like this:

Mootinie - 9

Uncrewed - 7

Warhawk8492 - 3

So, Mootinie gets the first pick, Uncrewed is second, and Warhawk - third. Have fun, boys!

  • Brian Adams
  • Brian Knobbs
  • Buddy Lee Parker
  • David Taylor
  • Hugh Morrus
  • Kevin Sullivan
  • Lash LeRoux
  • Leia Meow
  • Lenny Lane
  • Lodi
  • Reno
  • Steve Armstrong

The majority of those are unknown, but the names are good to start the "cuts". Post your pick right here, let everyone know who is fired. ;)

I'm echoing what The Nickman said. I like it, the way you write definitely feels more personal to the reader and it's concise and to the point, unlike my ramblings. :p

Okay, I'm gonna enjoy this. :D

Looking through the list, there seems to be some crappy workers on there but a few are at least useful. Brian Knobbs can put people over, as can Brian Adams. On the other hand, there's one that sticks out like a sore thumb to me and that's Buddy Lee Parker. He can't work, he can't manage, he can't cut a promo, he can't train people, he's just... a liability. I've heard stories about how he treated people in the WCW Power Plant, he would run it like a bootcamp so I want you to fire his ass. :D

It's funny, but if you put away the name of the person you picked, Hugh Morrus is the number one candidate to suit the role :p

First of all, I would like to thank KnowYourEnemy for nominating this dynasty for DOTM, that means a lot for me, as English is not my native language. Awesome to know somebody can enjoy this, thanks again! Let's continue!

  • It looks like Madusa leaves WCW. After beign attacked by "The Creative Control", ex-cruiserweight champion was neck-injured. This strong woman decided to vacate the title and to ride away in the sunset. She wants to say "goodbye" to all her fans, and to give Roddy Piper the title.

  • Norman Smiley continues to avoid Bam Bam Bigelow all means necessary. He faces Hugh Morrus instead on Thunder, and the hardcore title will be on the line.

  • Cruiserweight division wants their revenge on Creative Control, as La Parka and Kaz Hayashi take on the big guys in a regular tag team match.

  • Buff Bagwell is still aligning himself with Lex Luger, even after they lost the qualifying match in the tag team tournament. Lex, on the other hand, is not so fond of "Buff Daddy", but is too unmotivated to take him out.

  • The second semi-final match of mentioned above "Joker Wild" tag team tournament takes place in the semi-main event. Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit take on Disco Inferno and The Cat. Looks like an easy bout for Eddie and Chris, but The Revolution could be involved in this one.

  • Finally, "The Big Poppa Pump" requested a match with Diamond Dallas Page in the main event. Scott Steiner feels he was oppressed last weeks, and now he wants to take his anger off on the number one contender. Bret Hart, Kevin Nash and Ric Flair can't be involved in the fight, so Piper banned them all from Thunder. DDP is undefeated, can Steiner put "The People's Champion" in the Recliner, or will he fall afte the "Diamond Cutter"?

Official Thunder Match Card:

  1. Norman Smiley vs. Hugh Morrus (WCW Hardcore Championship Match)
  2. Creative Control vs. La Parka and Kaz Hayashi
  3. Lex Luger vs. Kanyon
  4. Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit vs. Disco Inferno and The Cat
  5. Diamond Dallas Page vs. Scott Steiner

Still waiting for Uncrewed and Warhawk8492's decisions ;)

January 2000, Week 2

Great Lakes, Kellogg Arena (7,522)

Pre-Show

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Stevie Ray and Big T defeated The Blue Bloods in 8:23 when Stevie Ray defeated David Taylor by submission. 53/100

In an extremely short match, Tank Abbott and Ice Train defeated Lane & Lodi in 4:41 when Tank Abbott beat up Lodi so badly that the referee had to stop the match. 35/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Vampiro defeated Brian Knobbs in 5:38 by pinfall with a Nail in The Coffin. 47/100

Three matches for pre-show, nice grades considering who was involved. Gave Stevie Ray a victory to boost his momentum a little more, squashed Lane and Lodi to keep Tank strong, and finally gave Brian Knobbs his last match in WCW.

So what can I expect from tonight's show? We have a solid main event for a TV-show, good undercard and some storylines to follow. I guess 73 will be good for this, let's go!

Main Show

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1127/53/63cd5654e9d435355b7820bb7cc43853.jpghttp://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1127/80/fb2cf382001f8dad8310745dfb2f2880.jpghttp://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1127/e2/b6fe61d2428a74e531c962a1a8b84be2.jpg

Piper welcomes everyone on Thunder, and tonight is a special night. A night to say "Thank You!" to Madusa, who put her body on the line to help WCW become what it is now. Madusa walks out, in tears already. She thanks the crowd for such treatment, she really did not expect that kind of reaction. A long, dramatic promo milks the chant from the crowd, and as Madusa hands the title to Piper, Berlyn appears on the ramp. Completely silent, the german enters the ring and snatches the title belt from Madusa, goes on the turnbackle and poses with gold. He is the number one contender, but that was a dick move! Piper pushes Berlyn to the corner, and starts yelling at him. Berlyn smiles, and lays Piper out with a belt!!! Madusa stands in the ring shocked, but in a few moments she picks up the belt, and hands it over to Berlyn, on her knee! Berlyn removes the neck brace, and a newborn couple smugs at the cameraman. Gerald and Patrick make their entrance, while Madusa and Berlyn applaud to them. 45/100

Meh, Piper could do a better job. Madusa turns heel and hands over the title to her new BF(?). I guess Piper has no choise but to recognize Berlyn as a new cruiserweight champion.Crazy BS, right?

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Creative Control defeated Parka & Kaz in 7:01 when Gerald defeated Kaz Hayashi by pinfall. 41/100

A video plays hyping Meng vs. Sid Vicious. We remember the fork assault and Sid's visit that took place last Monday. Who will take the next step in this bloody feud? 66/100

http://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1127/e5/00abae993c75ff2ba588545d92ebb9e5.jpghttp://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1127/07/53c813b8a6c0c3deb0cd1643b8926007.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1127/2c/de8335981bf2dfeb392c00fce71ff62c.jpg

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Norman Smiley defeated Hugh Morrus in 7:39 by pinfall after interference from Bam Bam Bigelow. Norman Smiley makes defence number 2 of his WCW Hardcore title. 47/100

Bam Bam completely destroys Hugh Morrus, then moonsaults him hard. Norman's legs fell asleep, he can't move, that's how afraid he is. Bam Bam then approaches the shaking hardcore champion and puts a finger on the belt. Norman immediately hands the title over to Bam Bam, but Bigelow just laughs.

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1127/97/80d9a53015d4e7e9e32c516dbb483097.jpg

"I just wanted to be your friend, Norman. But you are too good to hang out with the likes of me, huh? I will teach your ass a lesson at Souled Out, punk. You WILL respect me!" 55/100

Bigelow attacked Hugh Morrus to keep the belt on Norman, so the title match could take place at Souled Out. Strange, but not bad in terms of ratings.

Jarrett walks backstage, with a guitar on his shoulder... Jeff hears some strange noises, his face turns from confident cocky to "muuuum", as he walks down the corridor. Double J stops breathing, he gets his arms on guitar, swings it and... lays out Dustin Rhodes with it. Sure, nobody have seen it, Jeff, keep walking. An innocent man is on the ground, yet JJ whistles a happy tune. 60/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Lex Luger defeated Kanyon in 10:04 by submission with a Torture Rack after a distraction from Buff Bagwell. 58/100

http://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1127/ed/b692ef2055ce5e577e5f9000585c87ed.jpg

After the match, Buff Bagwell celebrates way more than Lex Luger. Buff is throwing his hat in the air, shows his muscle and laughs, while Luger just signals Liz to come over him, as they leave the ring area. Buff runs after them soon, he had his minute of fame. 58/100

Dublicated grades, Buff continues to struggle getting a reaction from Lex. A little bit of momentum for Bagwell wouldn't hurt anybody, right?

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1127/e7/3912310b43c2d2fdd8fdbc487dbf99e7.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2014/1127/e9/3ac34bd3fed8638f1383bb2445c1b2e9.jpg

Eddie and Konnan are backstage, talking.

"So vato, we will fight each other at Souled Out, ese!" - Konnan says.

"Don't count mamacitas before you lay 'em down holmes!" - Eddie responds.

Latino warriors hug, Eddie has a tag match up next!

Too many skits for one episode, I'm really off my game today.

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Eddie & Benoit defeated Disco Inferno and The Cat in 11:25 when Chris Benoit defeated The Cat by submission. 65/100

Good action, Eddie taunted a lot more than the match needed it. Benoit qualifies his team to the final, nice for him. I plan to do something with Disco and Cat after the tournament ends, maybe a farewell dance off?

Scott Steiner grabs the mic before his match. "Big Poppa Pump" starts a rant about how big his arms are, and how weak is Roddy Piper - he was knocked out by the cruiserweight tonight! Scott also promises to teach that trailer park trash DDP a lesson, and after he finishes his buisness in the ring, he will have some buisness with Kimberly! 67/100

Typical promo from Steiner. So bad, so good! Kimberly obviously dragged the rating down, she's not over. Time for the big match, let's hope this dudes can pull off a B-

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Diamond Dallas Page defeated Scott Steiner in 14:32 after the Diamond Cutter. 80/100

Yeah, that's awesome! Better than expected, even with Scotty beign unconsistent. 4 points lower than Flair-Hart, that's very good!

Diamond Dallas Page celebrates in the ring, he defeated yet another NWO guy! Who else stays in the list? Jeff Jarrett, Scott Hall... Bret Hart? DDP takes the mic and thanks everyone for support, he really needs it. He will need it more at Souled Out, though, so he expects a sold out house at Souled Out! He wants everyone to see how "The Diamond Cutter" puts "The Hitman" on the shelf! BADA-BING, BADA-BOOM, BADA-BANG! 73/100

Final Rating: 73/100 (2.76 on TBS, up 0.05)

Lost us popularity in 11 regions.

That's harsh. I thought that main event would save it all, but no. Too much attention for madusa, Creative Control and Berlyn, I guess.

Guys, I thinks we can give someone from that black list a chance. Let's keep 3 guys on the contract, so somebody has a chance to survive.

Mootinie, Beejus - 5

Uncrewed, Warhawk8492 - 4

KnowYourEnemy - 3

Beejus has the first pick, Mootinie has the second just because he released one man already. Mootinie, however, wanted to keep Brain Adams, so I take the guy off the black list. Warhawk8492 is third because he has two picks now, Uncrewed is 4th, KnowYourEnemy is 5th. That gives us 6 fired people, choose from those:

  1. David Taylor
  2. Hugh Morrus
  3. Kevin Sullivan
  4. Lash LeRoux
  5. Leia Meow
  6. Lenny Lane
  7. Lodi
  8. Steve Armstrong
  9. Reno
