Ric Flair comes out slowly, in his brand new black and white robe. A little posing by "The Nature Boy", people chant 'boooo!'. Right after him, the reuntied 'Outsiders' stumble! Big boys are cool as always, they get in the ring and pose too. Bret Hart, the WCW World Heavyweight Champion gets his entrance last, but starts talking first! 'The Hitman' talks about Chris Benoit, Eddie Guerrero, Diamond Dallas Page... and The Revolution. That disrespectful bunch of low-lifes! Ric nods in approval, Kev and Scott demonstarte the average height of their competition with the help of two palms. Bret then switches his thoughts on the other gang that fell flat on the a**, and that's 'The Filthy Animals'! Montana crowd cheers for them, that's weird. "One man finally understood that there's no faction as powerful as NWO, and decided to switch sides. Ladies and gentleman, the newest member of NWO 2000 - 'The Latin Fury' Konnan! That thug comes out already in the NWO t-shirt, and gets in the face of the commentators who are confused with the amount people the black and white stable already has.

"Like good old times!" - Heenan drops.

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0111/de/781e0101ca4047651e0b7c711e7be8de.jpg

Konnan finally gets in the ring and fist bumps with The Outsiders, shakes hands with Bret and Ric too. Scott Hall asks the rest of NWO to come down to the ring, but only one guy is following the instructions, and that's 'Big Poppa Pump' Scott Steiner. Nobody even mentions that Jarrett isn't here, so the gang poses for the photo and leaves the ring. 77/100

I guess Piper is fatigued. Didn't interrupt the boys this time...

Diamond Dallas Page had an interview hyping his upcoming singles match with Ric Flair. 'The Master of The Diamond Cutter' wished NWO luck, because they gonna need it later on! 77/100

In an extremely short match, Berlyn defeated Crowbar in 5:23 by a cradle pinfall after Madusa interfered. Berlyn makes defence number 2 of his WCW Cruiserweight title. 51/100

Crowbar attacks Gerald and Patrick after the match with his signature weapon! Lays them both down and out, much to Berlyn's surprise! Cruiserweight did the unthinkable and knocked down two heavyweights! Crowbar points at Berlyn with his metal stick, the feud has just continued! 28/100

Ugh... well, that will make our division more unpredictable. With no bodyguards Berlyn is just another midcarder... or not?

Bam Bam Bigelow's taped promo on Sid Vicious was interrupted by Brian Adams, who jumped off his Harley to snap the hardcore title from it's massive holder! 54/100

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0111/d4/b5cbd9a737e5dde7b07afa3c3c7df5d4.png

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Brian Adams in 5:48 by pinfall after a powerslam on the hood of the car. Bam Bam Bigelow makes defence number 1 of his WCW Hardcore title. 59/100

Wow, that's a good rating for Adams. I guess a nice gimmick finally helps someone?

A music video is shown to promote Lex Luger. 'The Total Package' meets 'The Chosen One' for the US title - tonight! 71/100

Jeff Jarrett has an interview, in which he goes off on a rant about how much he hates everything about WCW. Nobody respects the champion, and the commissioner makes all even worse by putting him in a "slapnut title matches". Vampiro once again steps out of the shadow and whispers: "What a crybaby..."

http://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0111/3b/4cf5c924d238fbfe0c9815fbeddd053b.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0111/08/a6596f54a88c9cd177346f5727914808.jpg

Booker T, however, sits still on the bench. The mystery photo still captures Booka's attention. It becomes interesting, don't you think so? He leaves the room, and passes by Jeff Jarrett, not dropping a single sound.

"See? That's disrespectful! He didn't shake my hand! That's disgusting!"

Booker ignores everything and everybody... Vampiro then starts stalking T. 70/100

http://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0111/e4/cc1e6dfd44bd4ff99e16318437be8be4.png

http://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0111/26/1d6751516aab6344e255a4e971220926.jpg

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Jeff Jarrett defeated Lex Luger in 6:33 by pinfall with The Stroke after a distraction from Buff Bagwell. Jeff Jarrett makes defence number 3 of his WCW United States title. 62/100

Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero have a conversation at the back. "Look, Eddie, I'm sorry that you got involved in this. I never imagined that things will get THIS ugly". Eddie looked like he was insulted by that apology, but his face turned into a big smile a few seconds later. "Ese, your enemies are my enemies. In fact, Konnan joined the NWO, so now I can officially go at war agianst that chicano, holmes! And yeah, we need to defend these bad boys from time to time, so get ready for next week, amigo!"

Eddie and Chris make the entrance for our semi-main event of the night! 60/100

http://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0111/e0/fe219160131191b57c49695747b721e0.png

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Chris Benoit defeated Kevin Nash in 8:08 by pinfall with a Diving Headbutt. 78/100

The match is over, Scott Hall jumps in the ring and lays some boots on 'The Rabid Wolverine'! Eddie quickly gets inside the ropes too, and tries to fight 'The Bad Guy'. It all ends up when Kevin Nash powerbombs Benoit on the apron, and helps Scott Hall to hit "The Razor's Edge" on Guerrero. Outsiders leave the ringside with the tag titles, they stole the belts! 63/100

Diamond Dallas Page runs in for the late save! He punches Scott right in the kisser! He's lucky his toothpick was somewhere else... A huge blow to the back of the head sends DDP face first on the steal ramp. Nash picks up the straps and goes away...

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0111/db/5f39c5496e1748f08873ba5522c3c1db.png

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Diamond Dallas Page defeated Scott Hall in 10:30 by pinfall with The Diamond Cutter. 74/100

Diamond Dallas Page celebrates his victory. He then calls Ric Flair out for the fight at the Superbrawl! Flair doesn't respond, so we go off air with the DDP sitting on the turnbackle, waiting.

Shane Douglas comes out instead, calling Flair a chickensh*t. 'The Franchise' asks DDP to leave the ring if he wants to do his yoga tonight. DDP smiles and jumps off. Douglas starts his rant...

"Even today, only the oldies were in the ring. no Jarrett and Steiner, the so-called 'maineventers of tommorow'. Jeff, Scott, open your eyes! They use you for their own good. Who gets all the punishment? Jeff and Scott! Join The Revolution, and things will get better!" 68/100

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0111/f5/d4cebae6a6dd5ad70ecf9c0b944566f5.png

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Ric Flair and Bret Hart defeated The Revolution in 8:29 when Bret Hart defeated Perry Saturn by submission with a Sharpshooter. 80/100

Holy smokes! Perry and Dean did amazingly here! Saturn learned a lot from those four men today, and he's a superior wrestler himself!

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0111/d2/7bac65b824ee572a492cc8ff4b661bd2.jpghttp://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0111/a3/6d21245895442513e83a7074139c21a3.jpg

Shane Douglas garbs the chair and it looks like Ric Flair will get his teeth knocked out! But wait, it's Scott Steiner! 'Big Poppa Pump' slams 'The Franchise' hard! Flair and Hart pat Scotty on the back, he showed his loyalty tonight!

Right after that Roddy Piper appeared on the 'Turnertron' and informed Steiner that he will meet Douglas in a one-on-one match on Thunder! Scotty gets back in the ring to inflict more damage on Shane, but gets the belly-to-belly suplex himself! Douglas runs away through the crowd. 85/100

What can I say? I looooveee belly-to-belly suplexes! Mostly the overhead ones :)

Final Rating: 80/100 (4.07 on TNT)

This show increased our popularity in 28 regions.

4.07, yeah! This is up from the last episode, which did a 3.91. Great matches, a few title bouts, nice angles and youth coming up as a relevant element did this for the rating. I'm happy that I chose the tag match to close the show, it worked great. Benoit continues his rise to the top, now defeating Nash in a singles match. Was very surprised that 'Big Sexy' wasn't bickering about the outcome of his match. One of my best shows so far, can't wait the B+ or A rating for some matches.

Thanks for the warm feedback, I really appreciate it!

Thunder Preview:

  • Roddy Piper was accused in "throwing slapnut title defences at poor peasants", so from now on there will be qualification matches for each title bout. Starting tonight, 'The American Nightmare' Dustin Rhodes meets Chris 'Shampagne' Kanyon in a match for the US title shot.
  • One part of the WCW tag team champions - Eddie Guerrero invited his cousin in a huge four on four match. Filthy Animals will jump around Booker T, Buff Bagwell, The Cat and Disco Inferno. American side of the match can get title shots if they grab a win here.
  • Another qualification match, now for the cruiserweight title will be held between Juventud Guerrera, Kaz Hayashi and La Parka. Even tag relationship doesn't stop Kaz and Parka from competing on Thunder!
  • Scott Steiner meets Shane Douglas in a singles fight. Piper thought that the best way to eliminate the thugs is to find another bunch of criminals to kill them. Let's not overdo it, but Steiner and Douglas could produce a decent match, which will show us which stable is ready for any kind of hostility.
  • Finally, Piper feels that he can take on one of the NWO members himself! Roddy booked himself against Ric Flair to prevent some kind of run ins in the Steiner - Douglas match. We all know how Flair and Douglas will behave if you lock them in a room. An all-time classic match awaiting us on TBS, tune in to to see legends go one on one in the main event!

Official Thunder Match Card:

Juventud Guerrera vs. La Parka vs. Kaz Hayashi

It's a longshot, but I'm going with Kaz as he would be a different contender.

Kanyon vs. Dustin Rhodes

Sid Vicious vs. Meng

Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Billy Kidman and Chavo Guerrero vs. The Cat, Disco Inferno, Buff Bagwell and Booker T

*nephew. As much as I could see Buffer T getting a Tag title shot, I can't see you handing title matches to Miller or Disco.

Shane Douglas vs. Scott Steiner

If Douglas drops this one, then his whole Revolution is dead. Outright dead.

Ric Flair vs. Roddy Piper

Roddy doesn't win matches anymore.

*nephew

my bad, nephew of course.

If Douglas drops this one, then his whole Revolution is dead. Outright dead.

Quite frankly, Revolution was dead before I started the dynasty. They had an Asya in their corner, that's how bad the buisness was for them at the beginning. They kept losing to Filthy Animlas, who are with all my respect to them are cruiserweights that never had a chance in WCW.

So far they sent Jim Duggan, Mike Rotunda, Larry Zbyzsko and Terry Funk home. It's only the beginning.

February 2000, Week 2

Hawaii, Neal S. Blaisdell Center (5,856)

Pre-Show

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, John Cena defeated Lenny Lane in 6:02 by pinfall with a Proto Bomb. 24/100

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Nigel McGuinness defeated Lodi in 7:01 by submission with a London Dungeon. 18/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, The Blue Bloods defeated The Mamalukes in 7:10 when Steven Regal defeated Johnny The Bull by pinfall with an Exploder Suplex. 48/100

Try out match for the most hated man in sports entertainment went well. Cena's "Cool Dude" gimmick got 88 rating. Never understood that one in particular... that's somebody like RVD? Fans can not appreciate Nigel's work yet, he is really not that good in the game. Rookie year or not, negative crowd reaction is bad.

Ric Flair is interviewed in the ring by Bobby Heenan, he hypes an upcoming singles match against Roddy Piper. We run down through all the fights they had in the past, Heenan hypes up the MSG bout in particular. Masterful improvisation from two legends, and a legendary moment for WCW aswell. Original way to kick things off too. 95/100

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/67/70bcb727b2ee70c1a06bab4167d5a967.jpg

Shane Douglas interrupts Ric Flair yet again, and then complains about the two pensioners main eventing the show. "The Franchise" said that Steiner is a superior athlete, and he should join The Revolution, even after he made a bad decision last Monday.

Flair says Steiner is the future not only of WCW but NWO, so Douglas can go **** himself! Not so classy, Ric! Two enemies start swearing, a lot of beeps and saliva fly in the air... Piper comes out to have a stare down with "Big Poppa Pump", only to lay a fist in Flair's face! Right after that Steiner crashes Piper's body with a Saito Suplex, and it all ends with a Fisherman Suplex from Shane Douglas. "The Franchise" poses in the ring, commercial break. 88/100

The announce team highlights the most insulting phrases dropped at the opening segment, and hypes up the cruiserweights that will meet in a triple threat match next. Juventud Guerrera, La Parka and Kaz Hayashi.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, La Parka defeated Juventud Guerrera and Kaz Hayashi in 5:47 when La Parka defeated Kaz Hayashi by pinfall with a Sky Twister Press. 50/100

La Parka caught Kaz by surprise, after they throwed Juvi out of the ring. Fast pace, nice spots, let's move on!

Meng and Sid Vicious are already brawling backstage, nothing new. Sid attacked Meng first, of course, but it all went 50-50 until both men got themselves in the ring...

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/8d/f9b012965b015e9cafb2165d674fcc8d.jpghttp://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/e5/0002a4dc1376bd8c071bdb1d6a4fb0e5.jpghttp://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/34/be16e45ab32a61b639b91a4c45f53c34.jpg

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Sid Vicious defeated Meng in 7:50 by pinfall with a Chokeslam. 65/100

A crystal clear message sent to Bam Bam Bigelow! All hell will break loose at the SuperBrawl between those two mastadonts! Hardcore title on the line, blood and guts promised to be there too.

Kanyon and Dustin Rhodes met face to face right before the next match, which was for the US titleshot. Kanyon said that he waited for an opportunity like this for too long, and Rhodes said he's just better than anyone else in the line for the title, because he's "An American Nightmare" 47/100

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/41/2f785c35e4dde7f41b9c8df62833dd41.jpghttp://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/6e/3ccebdc931c6f8ab8e07f1a39a95876e.jpghttp://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/7c/9cb522e1f70ffb7500a4b44143f51b7c.jpg

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Dustin Rhodes defeated Kanyon in 7:21 by pinfall with a DDT. 51/100

Poor chemistry spoiled the match. Guess Kanyon will do better next time, because he has no other choise. His organism can not pull something fascinating at the moment, so we need to make a comprehensive drug test in the near future. Right after the pay-per-view, what do you think?

Disco Inferno and The Cat approached Buff Bagwell, just to ask some questions about Booker T. Buff said Booker fell in love, and now he can not take his sight from the picture "Buff Daddy" gave him a couple of days ago. Disco Cats started to laugh, they will get the title shots easily! 50/100

Eddie presented his nephew to his fellow wrestlers. Rey and Billy welcomed Chavito in the familia, and all four guys made their entrance together, unlike all other factions in WCW. Chavo swithced from the "salesman" gimmick to a "family tradition" one, which got 100! 52/100

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Eddie Guerrero, Chavo Guerrero Jr. and Filthy Animals (Rey & Kidman) defeated Booker T, Buff Bagwell, The Cat and Disco Inferno in 8:03 when Eddie Guerrero defeated The Cat by pinfall with a Frog Splash. During the match we also had Lex Luger distract Bagwell. 64/100

Disco Cats found themselves in the situation where you can't rely on one guy because he's so out of reality he can't do a tag, and another because he has a rivalry with one of the biggest guys in the locker room. Four on two situation was destined to be a death sentence for the bad guys.

After the match Eddie challenged Konnan to a Mexican Street Fight at the Superbrawl. No answer needed, this type of match is something you can not accept or reject. You just try to beat the man in front of you, with all means necessary. 57/100

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/ad/0ed629cef635a835355285aa3896d0ad.jpg

A video plays hyping Chris Benoit vs. Bret Hart. "Crippler" reads a promo about breaking the neck of Sabu in 1994, gaining respect and titles in Japan and poring sweat, blood and tears in WCW for good five years. Benoit fought "The Hitman" before, in a Owen Hart memorial match. They fought then to pay their tribute to a great friend and a family member, but now it's a completely different situation! Come Superbrawl, Bret will experience the Crossface in the middle of the ring, and maybe even a Sharpshooter, because Benoit knows how to apply it. 79/100

Douglas makes his way to the ring, but Steiner assaults him with a steel pipe from behind! That's his revenge for the Fisherman Suplex, folks! 56/100

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/d4/3827f41e2ba1d070eefb0c6edfeb0cd4.jpghttp://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/b3/746bf9d37721dd9276b3fcc6b47a71b3.jpghttp://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/47/c7c446ac60285ad2228080b72abe1047.jpg

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Scott Steiner defeated Shane Douglas in 7:47 by count out. 72/100

Douglas decided to "go home". He had enough, for today at least. Douglas pointed his finger at Scotty and yelled "IT'S NOT OVER!". Revolution takes a break.

A video plays hyping Roddy Piper vs. Ric Flair. 76/100

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/98/a242df1b3595cecb8b592df7fb579d98.jpghttp://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/f0/a8464bf94c98e0905ddd4b47d3a662f0.jpghttp://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0114/64/f4b43678b0b26537fb25b72bc9b5b964.jpg

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Ric Flair defeated Roddy Piper in 9:02 by a roll up following the interference from Scott Steiner. 72/100

NWO attacks, laying Piper out two-on-one. Diamond Dallas Page comes out from the back, hits the ring, and cleans house, saving Piper. "The People's Champion" poses with the guy who signs checks, it's over for today. DDP looks like the number one guy in WCW right now, people go crazy for him. 90/100

Final Rating: 82/100 (2.82 on TBS)

This show increased our popularity in 10 regions.

Best show so far, believe it or not. Great promos and a nostalgia act made the show memorable, and that's the main objective. I should have booked a dark post-show match between Flair and DDP to check the chemistry, but all went wrong for a moment.

Superbrawl Sunday is happening this week! Pre-pay-per-view TV-shows are always interesting, so don't miss any minute of TNN and TBS content to keep up with the news. WCW will be a gold mine for the dirt sheets in these 7 days, and that's how it must be before the big events.

  • Kevin Nash stole the WCW tag titles not only from Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit, but also from Roddy Piper. "Big Sexy" made the tag titles defense impossible, and could get a big fine for that. "Rowdy" commissioner already started to sort the buisness out, making a singles match between Chris Benoit and Scott Hall! We don't have a clue if Nash wanted it that way, but we're absolutely confident about the quality of our Nitro main event! "Rabid Wolverine" against "The Bad Guy", right after the Road Dogg's catchphrase on Raw!
  • Unlike the golden straps for tag teams, the US and Cruiserweight titles are ready to be fought for. Jeff Jarrett meets Dustin Rhodes once again to proove he's "The Chosen One", and Berlyn faces the skeleton mask La Parka, who is ready to win his first title in WCW!
  • A huge six man tag team match is created to fill the niche of partnership wrestling on Monday! Lex Luger collects forces with Harlem Heat 2000 members Big T and Stevie Ray to fight Booker T, Buff Bagwell and... Vampiro. It is rumoured that canadian talked his way into this match at the back, once again showing the incredible skill of negotiations.
  • Konnan and Eddie Guerrero are also scheduled to fight on Monday. We're upset to inform you that those hot-blooded men wouldn't go against each other. Instead, they will get the power in their own hands. Piper knows how creative his talent may be, so now we have two "pick your poison" matches. Konnan could probably choose somebody from the NWO, and Eddie is likely to give someone from "Filthy Animals" a chance to shine.

  4. Konnan vs. ??? (Pick Your Poison Match #1)
  5. Eddie Guerrero vs. ??? (Pick Your Poison Match #2)

Prediction Contest Table:

Uncrewed - 30

Beejus - 25

Mootinie - 16

Warhawk8492 - 12

Phenomenal1 - 3

Uncrewed's "creative control" runs out this ppv, but it looks like he will continue to hold the power in his hands. Don't worry man, your wish will come true, even if it looks like not! :)

To those who joined recently, I'll remind:

"The winner of our prediction contest will be able to pick one man from the active roster and suggest his future storylines/matches/feuds." Be careful, as you can pick only one guy to take the creative control over. Good luck, we'll meet again at Nitro!

February 2000, Week 3

Mid West, Show Me Center (7,000)

Pre-Show

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, John Cena defeated Johnny The Bull in 6:31 by pinfall. 28/100

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Kaz Hayashi defeated Nigel McGuinness and Tony Marinara in 6:46 when Kaz Hayashi defeated Tony Marinara by pinfall with a WA4. 32/100

In an extremely short match, Madusa defeated Daffney in 4:56 by pinfall with a German Suplex. 36/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Creative Control defeated The Blue Bloods in 8:24 when Gerald defeated David Taylor by pinfall with an H-Bomb. 53/100

Cena and Bull have a pretty good chemistry, which is nice in the long run. Could imagine this two men fighting for the United States title in 2-3 years, but now – only dark matches. Kaz and Tony taught Nigel a thing or two, so I’ll give them 100$ after the show. Daffney and Madusa wrestled in the first women’s bout of this save, and did better than the guys! Should we have a division, people? Also liked that Madusa defeated Daf with a german suplex. Creative Control also was involved, after a brief pause. Let’s start the main show!

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0116/a4/ea2178370e0781978a6cc2b7f4bb60a4.jpghttp://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0116/3a/2146bed077a2f7bba6a59e6033311a3a.jpg

The following announcement has been paid for by the New World Order.

It’s Kevin Nash and Scott Hall! “Big Sexy” and “The Bad Guy” cut a classic black and white, "shaky-hands" camera promo, making fun of Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Roddy Piper, Diamond Dallas Page, Shane Douglas and many more. Nash informs us that he is tired of arriving to the arena just to be sent home, so tonight he gives himself the night off! And WCW tag team titles will be with him, right ladies? Obviously, Nash is not alone. Big Kev is in the house full of half-naked women, so he should be productive. Nash says bye to “The Bad Guy”, and he’s done.

The preceding announcement has been paid for by the New World Order. 89/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Berlyn defeated La Parka in 7:03 by disqualification after Crowbar run in and attacked the champion. Berlyn makes defence number 3 of his WCW Cruiserweight title.

Crowbar swings his trademark object again, in La Parka's direction! He feels like he is the rightful title contender! Kaz throws the chair to his friend, so he could defend himself, but La Parka uses his weapon as a shield! Two cruiserweights trade stiff shots, until Evan Karagias and Juventud Guerrera leap off the third turnbackles to take them both with a stereo crossbodies! Hayashi jumps in and starts kicking the jumpers with roundhouse kicks! Berlyn grabs the title belt, smashes it across the japanese face of Kaz and stands tall while the cruiserweight division relaxes on the canvas. Chaos in the land of the high-fliers continues. 43/100

http://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0116/71/7b05209afafe91efdc0ff832fe259871.jpg

We then switch to the video about Rick Steiner. The footage of a miserable “Sad-Dog-Faced Gremlin” got cut off by “The Franchise”, who is delighted with his video montage work. Shane then addresses the WCW tag team champions, who didn’t defend the titles for one month and deserve to be stripped! The best guys to wear that shiny belts are, of course, Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn – “The Revolution”! 46/100

Right before the next match Buff found out that Vampiro will be sharing the same corner with him and Booker. He asks T how he feels about it, and Booker mumbles: “Vamp is mah boy, we’re cool”. 51/100

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0116/23/855f07f4b8d7e55d1a36227b94c58423.png

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Stevie Ray, Big T and Lex Luger defeated Vampiro, Buff Bagwell and Booker T in 7:02 when Lex Luger defeated Buff Bagwell by submission with a Torture Rack. 62/100

The graphic shows up on the screen to tell you that Disco inferno and The Cat will have a wrestling “dance off” against Rey Mysterio and Billy Kidman on Thunder. “Filthy Animals” are a lot better in “jumping”, so The Dancing Cats should try their best this Thursday. 45/100

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0116/38/7fdaf37429811672abc4f002ffac2b38.jpg

Kanyon prepares to watch the US title match on something that looks like a tablet in the locker room. The devise is pretty rare, so Hugh Morrus, William Regal, David Taylor, Mike Rotunda join the interaction and sit near the guy just to enjoy the technologies. Kanyon thinks it´s because he´s such a nice guy, so he starts whining about the promoter kids like Jarrett and Rhodes, how WCW treats real talent like him and yada-yada-yada. Of course those who joined agree with the provider of the comfort, and make him feel like a king with fake laughter and compliments. Booker slams the door of the locker room and trashes the place – his beloved picture is nowhere to be seen! Guys try to calm Booker down, vainly. Booker promises to kill the man who stole it from him, and he’s dead serious. 56/100

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0116/b4/3ba0618574e2bcfffbd243a41c2f2fb4.png

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Jeff Jarrett defeated Dustin Rhodes in 5:48 by pinfall with The Stroke. During the match we also had Shane Douglas run in and attack The American Nightmare. Jeff Jarrett makes defence number 4 of his WCW United States title. 66/100

Shane Douglas steps in the ring, and slowly approaches Jeff Jarrett. He carefully starts to talk with “The Chosen One”… all ends up pretty, no guitars to the face. It looked like Shane Douglas offered JJ a spot in “The Revolution”, and the United States champion asked for time to think about it. 62/100

http://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0116/de/8d7ba7fd61573151e62396d4664570de.jpghttp://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0116/9f/dcf652c5bf0528953a294cc0c60be69f.jpg

Bam Bam Bigelow peaceably sips the orange juice from the can. No violence today, the hardcore champion feels safe and good. Suddenly, an energetic guy in his early sixties starts jumping around the big guy. “The Mouth of The South” congratulates “The Beast from The East” with his title win, it’s a huge undertaking that deserves to be celebrated. Bam Bam thinks it’s a great idea, and slaps Jimmy so hard, that he can enjoy a private pyro show.

"Don't you ever enter my comfort zone, punk!" 48/100

Roddy Piper hopes you enjoyed the show so far, as he wants you to know that Sid Vicious will go one on one against Kanyon this Thursday. Then our GM asks Eddie Guerrero and Konnan to join him in the ring, for them to announce the opponents for each other. Konnan comes out first, accompanied by the NWO. Ric Flair, Scott Steiner, Bret Hart, Scott Hall and even Jeff Jarrett are here, and it looks like JJ got some attention from his partners in crime at the back, as he has a huge black eye now. NWO cheers for Konnan, Steiner asks to pick him for the match! Konnan says that it would be too predictable for Guerrero, if he chose “The Big Poppa Pump”. Instead, Eddie will meet Meng, right now! Eddie makes his entrance, alongside “The Filthy Animals”. Is it a lumberjack match, anyone? 73/100

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0116/2b/83895a70bae07ffee5eb4786d551922b.png

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Eddie Guerrero defeated Meng in 6:57 by pinfall with a Frog Splash. 62/100

Eddie wins, and now he can get Konnan’s opponent out! “Latino Heat” smirks, as DDP runs down to the ring!! Mysterio and Kidman look slightly offended by that choise... 65/100

Really disappointed by the rating here. I know Meng is a tough guy to work with, but Eddie looked like a perfect candidate for me.

http://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0116/1f/a243f5d8643e99f22473f48ee4be701f.png

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Diamond Dallas Page defeated Konnan in 7:48 by pinfall with a Diamond Cutter. 73/100

Diamond Dallas Page celebrates his victory, until NWO crashes the party, attacking both DDP and Filthy Animals. Scott Steiner applies a “Steiner Recliner” on “The People’s Champion”, so Flair could spit in DDP’s face safely. Right after that Hart delivers a ground shaking Piledriver, and leaves the guy sore. Steiner decided to grab Kimberly Page with him, but Piper distracted the man. 83/100

Piper pointed a finger at “Big Poppa Pump”…

“Steiner, you stupid SOB, it’s only the beginning! At Superbrawl you will go one on one against “The Total Package”!" 66/100

It’s time for our main event, boys and girls.

http://i66.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0116/8d/414b8cd19f7d8c358145b155d7ef518d.png

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Chris Benoit defeated Scott Hall in 8:42 by submission with a Sharpshooter. 82/100

A loud and clear message sent to Bret Hart! Benoit makes Scott Hall scream like a little baby, keeps the submission active until ref asks him to stop. “The Hitman” runs in and attacks Benoit...

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0116/d3/a9f082830ce5b40ff3a84a1afc6e49d3.jpg

OH MY!

Hulk Hogan runs in and makes the save by scaring Bret off. The camera fades away with the image of Hulk Hogan helping Chris to stand up. Crowd cheers for those two together, as Hulkster celebrates with “The Rabid Wolverine”, the number one contender on "The Hitman's" title! 79/100

Final Rating: 82/100 (4.02 on TNT) This show increased our popularity in 29 regions.

Not only we produced another great edition of Nitro, we also pulled off a better rating then WWF! Raw did 80, with Jericho beating Big Show in the semi-main event and New Age Outlaws - Rock and Sock connection closing the show. I’m pretty happy about that, we can compete with Vince! Looked like my story got lost in all those updates, so no changes in the prediction table at the moment.

Also let me know what you think about the Superbrawl card so far!

Bret Hart vs. Chris Benoit - for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship

Diamond Dallas Page vs. Ric Flair

Eddie Guerrero vs. Konnan (Mexican Street Fight)

Lex Luger vs. Scott Steiner

Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Sid Vicious - for the WCW Hardcore Championship

Bret Hart vs. Benoit | I'm guessing this will be a technical style match -- if not, the rematch will be. A regular match is probably B/B+ between these two but it wouldn't surprise me if you drew an A or even an A* in a Submission match as both are renowned mat technicians. I think Bret wins this won, and Beniot gets the rematch.

Diamond Dallas Page vs. Ric Flair| There are a lot of "mirror matches" on this card, where the opponents resemble each other. DDP and Flair have somewhat similar gimmicks. This should be a B/B+ depending on time decline -- Flair has to put Page over, especially given how strong he has been booked.

Eddie Guerrero vs Konnan | Like the "Mexican Street Fight" ideal, but I have to think Lucha Libre or 2/3 Falls would make more kayfabe sense -- I'm guessing this plays to their abilities. It'll be a B-/B Match either way. I think Eddie pulls this one out, he appears to have more to do right now.

Luger vs. Steiner| You can probably get away with a 10/12 minute midcard match here, which is good because neither of these guys can go in-ring. Both can cut a mean promo. Steiner will pick up the win in a match that will fall slightly short -- but could surprise given the right heat. I expect this to be a C+/B- match.

Bigelow vs. Sid Vicious| This should be hot due to the participants. Not sure if the match has stipulations. You can't really do a "real life" Hardcore Title Match, but Bigelow has the kayfabe advantage due to his many stints with ECW, so I'm guessing he has a higher hardcore rating. This is a toss up, and should deliver a solid C+/B- grade.

Rating: 10/10. So far, this is an excellent effort, and you've put together a classic WCW card despite the state of WCW's 2000 Roster -- each character is facing a sort of "mirror match" which compensates that some of the feuds are unique to this diary. The card will get a high B+ and outperform WWF's monthly/next effort.

Our final stop before the SuperBrawl! Last chance to change things dramatically - pay-per-view is all about fighting and no talking! More matches to look for, here we go!

  • WCW Tag Team champions Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit have an announcement to make. It surely will involve their status as the title holders, because they couldn't find a free minute to defend the straps for one month long. New contenders should be decided in our two qualification matches.
  • Buff never trusted Vampiro, and now he blames the canadian for losing a match on Monday! "Buff Daddy" wanted his opportunity to meet the freaky guy, and Piper made it possible.
  • A huge confronatation in the cruiserweight division lead to a three on three match, with the ultimate loser leaving the title hunt. Pinfall or submission eaten - you miss The SuperBrawl.
  • Meng is a hard-working guy, so at Thunder he goes one on one again! "Barbarian" looks forward to scoring a confident victory over somebody who shall accept his open challenge.
  • Sid Vicious can't wait for his rematch on Sunday, so Piper made an easy bout against Kanyon for him. Jersey Triad reunites or exploses once again?
  • Finally, for our main event we have a special fight. The undefeated United States champion Jeff Jarrett versus the "NWO Head Hunter" Diamond Dallas Page. DDP lost to Bret once, and that was the only singles match defeat for the "People's Champion". Will DDP break the streak, or Jarrett will push himself over the rest of the NWO, thus proving he's "the man"?

Official Thunder Match Card:

  1. Juventud Guerrera, Evan Karagias and Chavo Guerrero vs. Crowbar, La Parka and Kaz Hayashi
  2. The Filthy Animals vs. Dancing Cats
  3. The Blue Bloods vs. The Revolution
  4. Vampiro vs. Buff Bagwell
  5. Sid Vicious vs. Kanyon
  6. MAIN EVENT: DIAMOND DALLAS PAGE VS. JEFF JARRETT

February 2000, Week 3

Mid Atlantic, Moretz Stadium (7,542)

Dark Matches

In an awful match that was completely devoid of heat, Brian Adams defeated John Cena in 6:02 by pinfall with a Chokeslam. 45/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Hugh Morrus defeated Nigel McGuinness and Norman Smiley in 8:27 with a No Laughing Matter 41/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Creative Control defeated Ice Train and Tank Abbott in 6:44 with an H-Bomb 42/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Fuji Yamada defeated Tony Marinara in 5:51 by pinfall with a Brainbuster. 46/100

Solid grades for a pre-show, liked Yamada's work in particular.

Main Show

Roddy Piper opens this night for us, already standing in the ring. He doesn't want to waste anymore time, so he calls out our current tag team champions - Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit. They quickly come down and join the commissioner, clearly understanding why he wanted to see them. It's all about the championship! "Rowdy" wants to hear the final decision of the champs.

Eddie and Chris explain why they decided to vacate the championship. Two reasons for that: Konnan and Bret Hart. The duo also promises to fight for the belts again in the future, so it's not the end of their tag partnership. Piper is curious, who Eddie and Chris see as the next champions? Eddie obviously puts over Rey Mysterio and Billy Kidman. Benoit, on the other hand, surprises everybody and calls The Revolution as next title holders.

http://i58.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/f6/20f17546b1a861fff4f3ba0f3e99adf6.jpghttp://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/3a/18e8c4a0f62317a3412fe9617f4f283a.jpg

Right after that, the physical title owners kick in from outside, and start laughing about all that crap that came from the vanilla mouthes of those two midgets. Hall and Nash - the best tag team in WCW, in their opinion.

All of a sudden, both Filthy Animals and The Revolution block the exit option for for NWO members, so we have a six on two situation! Needless to say, Piper snatched the straps from Kev and Scott, while they were busy battling the cruiserweights. 60/100

Whew, that was a long segment. Wrote that one in the kitchen, when I was waiting for water to start boiling.

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0122/ca/52d3062fbcbb068627e415c4f89308ca.png

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Filthy Animals (Rey & Kidman) defeated The Cat and Disco Inferno in 5:38 when Rey Misterio Jr. defeated Disco Inferno by pinfall with a Springboard Huracarrana. 66/100

Konnan jumped out of nowhere with a baseball bat wrapped in barbwire!

http://i60.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/42/0d8a236faecf759cba88d40e06b6f942.jpg

"Aguas, chamacos!"

Rey and Billy are out, Chavo was pretty late to make the save. It seems like Konnan is prepared for his fight with Eddie, he did his homework. More than that, he maybe inflicted enough damage on Animals to cost them a match on Sunday! Tag team championship bout is looking more favourable for The Revolution now. 66/100

Revolution and Animals continue to fight for the right to be called the future of the company. Faces have a number advantage, but it could turn either way at SuperBrawl! Jarrett is still considering Shane's offer...

Vampiro sits on the top of the locker, examining the mysterious piece of paper Booker T looks for, a photo. Vamp smirks at the image of Booker's most wanted thing in life, but he quickly hides the thing when Booker enters the room. T asks Vampiro about the photo, but the guy has "no idea" where the photo can be found... but wait, he actually saw something that looked like a photo. Booker wants to know where, and gets the answer in a very quiet voice...

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0122/4d/3d4083465f650d688ee377b552a31e4d.png

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Crowbar and Parka & Kaz defeated Juventud Guerrera, Evan Karagias and Chavo Guerrero Jr. in 7:06 when Hayashi defeated Evan by pinfall with a W4. 49/100

Evan can't stop losing, he is back to his old gimmick. Karagias leaves the title hunt, leaving all the fun to Kaz, Parka, Juvi, Chavito and the unluckiest guy in the cruiserweight division - Crowbar. I guess we have a rocking opener for the pay-per-view, guys. Berlyn's luck ran out?

It looks like Vampiro pointed Booker in the wrong direction, and actually has an evil plan, which he is executing right now. All we can see is Vampiro sneaking in the NWO locker room. He might be crazy, but he has a sack of balls to compliment himself!

It's also time for Meng's open challenge match! Who could try his luck against the "Barbarian", who is already standing in the ring? Of course, Jungle Jim, aka Chuck Palumbo, the guy who looks like Tarzan. Meng should grab an easy victory here.

http://i59.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0122/ba/d8b210e63b59f72882018fea79b772ba.png

In an extremely short match, Meng defeated Jungle Jim in 4:33 by pinfall with a Super Kick. 40/100

That match went better than I expected. Meng is still a popular dude, and can deliver a nice brawl inside the four ring posts. Jim appeared on TV for the first time since losing to somebody in Joker's Wild tag team tournament.

Buff Bagwell meets Booker T in the hall, and has a lot of things he wants to discuss with his friend. But it looks like Booker is not interested in conversations no more, he had one with Vampiro today, and he's in the middle of something. Buff goes crazy for that name, because that guy made his best efforts to throw Buffy in the Torture Rack on Monday. Also, their match will happen right after the commercial break.

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/30/bd3d68f63e57e84323c5c8942f7ad730.png

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Buff Bagwell defeated Vampiro in 6:31 by pinfall with a fast roll up. 44/100

After the match Buff wanted to explore Vampiro's jacket to see if the photo was there, but got a Nail in the Coffin for himself in return. So Vampiro has a photo on himself? Or he just acts that way because he hates the humans touching his flesh?

http://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/56/34380ff3ded3470af0d9e09563453f56.jpghttp://i58.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/06/4176d8fb65daa9bbf1266a33ebc52806.jpg

Next up, Scott Steiner and Lex Luger have a posedown contest to actually find out who has the most impressive physique in WCW. Both men are confident they're the best, and deserve to win. Biceps, abs, chest, legs, back and even neck are compared. It looks like both competitors are equally good and ripped, but people give Lex more cheers, because he turned face recently. Steiner goes nuts, when Okerlund announces Lex as the victor, and trashes the set in a pure rage. Luger smiles, he's happy with the outcome of the posedown. Steiner picks up "Mean Gene" and presses him 10 times before dropping the man down, thus showing why he's better, stronger and meaner. 69/100

Scotty could dislike the angle, but he sure as hell should like the segment rating.

http://i59.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0122/cf/86919d1a55bb99486e1f5dbc5e28f3cf.png

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, The Revolution defeated The Blue Bloods in 8:27 when Dean Malenko defeated David Taylor by submission with a Texas Cloverleaf. 62/100

Couldn't believe myself that I never paired all those guys at once till this moment. Grappling at it's finest, we could throw that one on SuperBrawl easily, but Animals are so much popular than the brits.

Booker T enters the NWO locker room, all by himself. He's lucky, nobody is there yet. Hall and Nash are hiding somewhere else, Hart and Flair are not in the building yet, Scotty just had a muscles measure contest, while Jeff Jarrett just fears to go there, after NWO squad gave him a black eye. Booker looks for the picture, and finally finds it... in the guitar cords. 64/100

Kanyon prepares for his match in the common locker room, the majority pumps him up, because it could result in a massive celebration, and you definitely want to be a part of it when Kanyon pays for it. He somehow went from the mediocrity to the most popular dude among the wrestlers. Everybody knows why, except the man with the fat purse.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Sid Vicious defeated Kanyon in 6:09 by pinfall with a Chokeslam. 58/100

Sid easily dismantled Kanyon here. Impressive showdown by the "Psycho", he is as bad as you heard, people! Sid grabs the ring announcer by the neck, roughly takes the microphone from the shaking hands of a poor fellow, then starts his vicious promo on Bam Bam: "I WILL CUT YOUR GUTS OUT! I WILL BUST YOUR SKULL OPEN! YOUR BLOOD WILL BE ON MY HANDS! YOU'RE A DEA..." A stranger in a creepy mask nails Sid with a brutal chairshot to the back of the head!!

The attacker lifts Sid Vicious in the air, landing him back first on the canvas! Nobody ever did that to Sid! This guy must be crazy, if he thinks he will get away with that! Whatever his motives could be, he just destroyed the most dangerous man in the WCW locker room! What a way to introduce yourself!

Wait a minute! The man has shown his face! It's... Mike Awesome, the former ECW World Champion! What's that all about? 72/100

Don't worry, the guy doesn't have an ECW belt with him. Paulie had enough time to change the title holder, so we're as clean as the babies butt. I don't remember who holds the main title in Extreme Championship Wrestling, but it has to be somebody legit, because this guy is a monster!

"Nature Boy" is in the house, baby, woo! Ric encourages Jarrett to prove that he's the man, by beating Diamond Dallas Page tonight! If Jeff wins, he'll be on the same level as Bret Hart and Ric Flair himself!

"Tonight is your chance to show us how wrong we were about you, so give that SOB your 100%, and I will be the first man in line to shake your hand!" 93/100

http://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0122/10/b3e56d14aab722b50991a32511874d10.png

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Jeff Jarrett defeated Diamond Dallas Page in 11:43 when Diamond Dallas Page was disqualified after Booker T ran in and attacked Jeff Jarrett with his own guitar. 80/100

Booker broke the instrument, after it connected with Jarrett's skull. It wasn't enough for the man, and he continued to stomp the champ with his leather boots. Flair wanted to stop T, but DDP stopped him from doing that. Page pointed at Jeff and promised Flair the same treatment at the SuperBrawl! 74/100

For our final segment on the show we have Bret "The Hitman" Hart! He came out, and stated that he's not afraid of Hogan by any means. Benoit also is not intimidating him, so he will retain his world heavyweight title in the calm fashion, and knock Hulkster out with it after the match!

Hulkster comes down, to have a major stare down with the number one man on the roster. Hulk wants to fight Bret, but not today - at the next ppv, Uncensored. "Hitman" doesn't respond to that challenge, much to fans disappointment, who were waiting for a fight between these two for too long now.

Benoit interrupts the legends argument, just to say he is still the number one contender, and the future world heavyweight champion! Hart and Hogan never bat an eye, they don't take Chris seriously enough. Benoit leaves the squared circle slightly pissed off, despite all his hard work Hogan could just steal his spotlight!

Hart and Hogan continue the "no blinking" game, until NWO surrounds the ring. Bret finally changes his facial expression from the dead wall to a mocking smirk. Nash and Hall jump on Hogan from behind, almost breaking the oldman in half! Benoit was insulted by Hogan, so he won't help him this time. DDP pursuits Flair's limo, Eddie could do the same to Konnan's low-rider, while Jarrett is out and doesn't feel like helping NWo anymore...

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/3b/376453815782eafa0e6de85a16ed5e3b.jpg

OHHH YEAAHHH!!

"Macho Man" Randy Savage runs out like a madman, trying to save Hulk from a beat down! Kev and Scott are pretty blown up after that opening segment brawl, but they still fight on a pretty good level, busting "The Macho Man" open. Ironically, they decided that they inflicted enough damage on Hogan, and Bret could handle Randy Savage himself.

Uh-uh.

Hulk Up, body slam, leg drop! Hogan stares at Savage, who feels the electricity in the ari! Crowd goes mental as Savage goes on top of the third turnbackle, poses and lays a picture perfect elbow drop on the world heavyweight champion! We are ready to go off air, both Hulk and Randy look at the title now. They want it back on their wastes, but tonight they'll just shake hands and pose for the old school fans, leaving it all for the future. 80/100

Final rating: 78/100 (2.67 on TBS)

No changes in popularity.

Сalm before the storm? We'll see. I don't feel like previewing SuperBrawl, as I already gave away a lot of predictions, so the ppv will be posted soon too. Not only for that one reason, I also will be far away from home for a couple of days, maybe even a week. For now, second part of the SuperBrawl card...

WCW Cruiserweight Championship: Kaz Hayashi vs. La Parka vs. Juventud Guerrera vs. Crowbar vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr. vs. Berlyn ©

Berlyn and his group have been fun, I look for him to continue running the CW division for at least another month or two.

WCW Hardcore Championship: Sid Vicious vs. Bam Bam Bigelow ©

The nature of the Hardcore title almost lends itself to be swapped around. Sid grabs the belt again here.

WCW Tag Team Championship: Filthy Animals (Rey Mysterio and Billy Kidman) vs. The Revolution (Dean Malenko and Perry Saturn)

Rey is always a good idea to put a title on, as it almost ensues you'll have a solid title match no matter who he's against.

20 Men Battle Royal - Kanyon?

WCW United States Championship: ??? vs. Jeff Jarrett ©

Scott Steiner vs. Lex Luger

Feels like I'm wrong here, but with Lex's recent face turn I could see him making a short run at the top.

Mexican Street Fight: Eddie Guerrero vs. Konnan

Mega Powers (Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage) vs. The Outsiders (Kevin Nash and Scott Hall)

Ric Flair vs. Diamond Dallas Page

WCW World Heavyweight Championship: Chris Benoit vs. Bret Hart ©

Benoit gets ignored, as next month we see Hart vs Hogan for the title. WCW being WCW.

February 2000, Week 3

Tri State, Madison Square Garden (20,789) SOLD OUT!

So we're screwing the reality by invading in the territory of the WWF. No chance in hell for that in real life, but in TEW everything is possible. Why not try? Tri Sate is an important region, so we could gain A LOT of popularity here. "Real" fans out there could easily turn on WWF if we produce a great show, and they'll fail to do that again.

Dark Matches

In an extremely short match, Big Vito, Johnny The Bull, Evan Karagias, Reno and Tony Marinara defeated Mike Sanders, Gerald, Patrick, Lash LeRoux and Jungle Jim in 4:41 when Johnny The Bull defeated Jungle Jim by pinfall. 34/100

In an extremely short match, Ice Train and Tank Abbott defeated John Cena in a Handicap match in 4:53 when Tank Abbott defeated John Cena by pinfall. 37/100

In an extremely short match, Madusa defeated Daffney in 5:23 by pinfall with a German Suplex. 42/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Keichi Yamada defeated Steve Armstrong in 5:31 by pinfall. 48/100

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Mike Awesome defeated Nigel McGuinness in 5:57 by pinfall with an Awesome Splash. 56/100

A lot of matches, I know, but I don't want to see upset faces in the locker room. Everybody was booked tonight, so no complains expected. Hell, I gave them the greatest stage in the world of pro wrestling, why would they be angry?

SUPERBRAWL 2000

http://i58.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/f6/c99f90cc9849f8aa25799ed39ccc28f6.jpg

WOOO!

Ric Flair is welcomed by the rabid wrestling fanatics, right here, in Madison Square Garden! "The Nature Boy" imposingly walks down the aisle, swinging his feather robe in the face of those in front row. Ring announcer deliveres a microphone to the legend... Flair hypes himself up, remembering his battles with Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan in 1991. Ric fought in that matches under the WWF flag, but tonight is different. It is his first WCW-MSG performance in his illustrious career, and everybody better be sure that Ric Flair won't lie down for a scumbag like DDP on the night like this! Fans cheer "The Nature Boy", as he drops: "TO BE THE MAN, YOU HAVE TO BEAT THE MAN! WOO!" 85/100

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0129/55/2192e9097e7386ebd68e2b48074aa855.jpg

BANG!

Diamond Dallas Page runs through the crowd in the ring direction! Fans boo him heavily, somebody even pours a bottle of water in the face of the "People's Champion"! DDP isn't over here, by any means. Ric Flair uses the crowd to his advantage, slowly leaving the squared circle. DDP finally fights his way through the people, but it's too late. 76/100

Backstage Eddie cuts a motivational speech, regarding this night. He has all the confidence in the world, but still asks "Filthy Animals" to get the job done. Chavo's match is first...

http://i58.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/87/5a92b41a9f841365f37601a2b7994287.png

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Chavo Guerrero Jr. defeated Crowbar, Berlyn, La Parka, Kaz Hayashi and Juventud Guerrera in 9:58 when Chavo Guerrero Jr. pinned Juventud to win the WCW Cruiserweight title. 54/100

A quick back and forth match with a lot of high-flying spots. Chavo wins his first title in WCW, what a moment it is for the member of the Guerrero family! Good rating for the match too, I gave them enough time to tell the story. Eliminations were the following: Crowbar first, La Parka second, Kaz third, Berlyn 4th. Crowbar hid behind the WCW logo to surprise the champion, and later Juvi finally covered the german for three after a Gory Special into a Sitout Facebuster.

Hart vs. Benoit, DDP vs. Flair, Mega Powers vs. The Outsiders are awaiting for us in the last hour of the broadcasting, but right now we have a hardcore title match! Bam Bam aligned with Meng to snatch the belt, and now meets Sid in a remacth.

http://i58.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/26/17da6b8f3c48b1b9a667cfb3d3930026.png

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Sid Vicious defeated Bam Bam Bigelow in 8:12 by pinfall with a Chokeslam. Sid Vicious wins the WCW Hardcore title, after Jimmy Hart threw white powder in Bigelow's face. Mike Awesome also interfered in this one. 65/100

We all expected for Mike to attack Sid once again, but instead he turned on his good friend from ECW - Bam Bam Bigelow, and costed him the title, accidentally. A vocal ECW fanbase gave Mike a ton of heat, that's good. Guess it could be even better if Awesome showed up with the ECW title on his waist. Swerve completed, Sid regains the title in a hellacious beatdown.

You know who had more historical matches in the MSG than Ric Flair? Randy Savage and Hulk Hogan. The Mega Powers return tonight, to take on the NWO creators - Kevin Nash and Scott Hall. A little recap hypes the veterans reunion at Nitro, with both men looking at the World Heavyweight title in the end... Screen turned black and white, and NWO members reacted on that thing on camera. 81/100

http://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0129/2c/005560f346bf640ab56b83b28b1e912c.jpg

Kanyon has arrived, and his car is packed with alcohol. Champagne, if precisely. Guy feels the smell of fame in the air, as the locker room greets the bourgeois.

"Ready for the Battle Royal, boys?"

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/fe/8baa7b881f92165c58d2155ba4ee2bfe.png

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Filthy Animals (Rey & Kidman) defeated The Revolution (Malenko & Saturn) in 14:36 when Rey Misterio Jr. defeated Perry Saturn by pinfall with a Droppin' Da Dime. Filthy Animals win the WCW tag team championship. 69/100

Further we go, higher the rating is! Our top prospects really lived up to the expectations, so we rewarded them with this historical accomplishment. Three matches so far, and three title changes. United States and World heavyweight titles will be on the line too, and title changes become even more favourable! Also Filthy Animals are unbeaten tonight, Eddie really should win his match to cement his position as a leader of the stable. As for the match, it was exactly what we all expected it to be - tag team showdown with a lot of late saves and drama. Saturn and Malenko couldn't match "Animals" agility, though they dominated the majority of the match. Congratulations to Rey and Billy! The inspiration for this match came to me after I checked out one of the best 2/3 falls matches in Smack Down history between Edge, Rey, Kurt and Benoit. You can watch it on youtube, by the way.

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0129/34/b20158b5744b809815ce18d2916cd834.jpghttp://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0129/5c/6adf411308c95e2ebe1608a1479ac85c.jpg

Jarrett sadly sits in the back, with a guitar on his lap. Jeff plays a miserable tune, much to Vampiro's joy. That creepy guy wiped the stupid smile from Jarrett's face for good, but is this the end of their rivalry?

Up next - the Battle Royal! A collage of people promising to win it rolls in, with Booker T being the most convincing one. He has a reason to beat Jeff Jarrett and take away the thing that he loves so much. After all, Booker T is still the self-proclaimed MVP of the WCW, so grabbing a title from "The Chosen One" could be carrer-defiying for the young lion. Booker kisses the photo, and promises to beat JJ's butt for her tonight!

http://i59.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0129/ba/b3721b4b19ebe3fdbb2e8671ef2b95ba.jpg

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Booker T won a 20 men battle royal in 10:23. 66/100

Big T, Brian Adams, Buff Bagwell, Disco Inferno, The Cat, Dustin Rhodes, Hugh Morrus and Shane Douglas were expected, but some of the contestants took everybody by surprise! For example Terry Funk and Jim Duggan made their return to take out Shane Douglas, but failed. The other members of the 'final round' were Kanyon and Meng, with Kanyon being the final elimination, due to his locker room status. Meng got the most eliminations over the course of the match, proving once again he's the real deal. But the winner - Booker T really was the guy to watch in this one, as he focused on surviving, ignoring the opposition. Jarrett makes his way to the ring, our title match is ready!

The US champion took his time to get to the ring, as he was in bad conditions all week long. He even cut a little promo on the winner, explaining why he couldn't steal the stupid picture and why he's the next big thing. He defeated DDP on Thursday, so even Ric Flair respects him now! Crowd boo's the "Chosen One", but gets insulted in response. JJ couldn't steal the picture - he was busy and isolated. 70/100

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/a5/56cddfbd03b27cd2da50a8b6dc0eefa5.png

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Jeff Jarrett defeated Booker T in 7:46 by pinfall, illegally using the ropes for leverage. Jeff Jarrett makes defence number 5 of his WCW United States title. 71/100

Match was limited due to both men conditions and lenght, so that is a good rating. Jeff retained his title again, thus breaking the tradition of title changes on this show. Bret Hart can relax now... Booker did OK, but after all he failed to get his revenge. More to come?

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0129/10/b07a2e586900f7ccb23cb5c03b013e10.jpg

Scott Steiner storms in the interview set, and commands to give him the mic.

"TONIGHT THE GREATEST BODY IN THE WORLD IS GONNA ROCK LEX LUGER'S SORRY ASS UNTIL HE CALLS ME THE BIG BAD BOOTY DADDY! ELIZABETH, I LIKE YOU! WE CAN HANG OUT AFTER THIS SHOW IS OVER! OR AFTER I SQUASH THAT OLD WASHED UP REDNECK WITH NO CLASS. HOLLER IF YOU HEAR ME!" 76/100

Lex made an elaborate entrance before the match, showcasing his impressive muscle mass. Steiner went nuts once again and attacked "The Total Package" from behind with a steel pipe! That's the man who really wants to fight! Steiner tried to harass Ms. Elizabeth, but was attacked by Luger. The majority of the match happened outside, two oafs brawled in the crowd. It's rumoured that Scotty hit one or two fans in his rage, so we should really handle that incident.

http://i65.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/8b/29e5e45c8895560a8aca8bdedb2ac98b.png

In a bout that featured great action and average heat, Scott Steiner defeated Lex Luger in 7:24 by submission with a Steiner Recliner. 78/100

Holy Poppa Pump, they did a "B" match together! Great chemistry? Nope. Both men were motivated to the max, even without the inspirational speech before the show. Things will only go up from now on, I'm stoked! We really worked the crowd with this one, as those two alpha males fough it out right in front of them!

Jarrett's smug face returned, as he entered the NWO locker room with his US title on the shoulder. Flair mentioned the guy, but never did what he promised - shook JJ's hand. Jeff behaved calmly, cause Nash and Hall were warming up right behind his back. He doesn't want another black eye... but he wants to remind Bret of how brutal Benoit can be.

"I defeated him on many occasions, and I know he's not joking. Can you handle him, Hitman? We'll see"

Konnan jumps his way to the arena, on the low rider. As he rides in, he mentions that the entire Filthy Animals squad surrounds his car on their own. Now it looks like a good ol' parking lot brawl. Eddie sits on the hood of his Range Rover, waiting patiently. People who were breaking faces in the Battle Royal came here to watch the show, and to cheer for Guerrero. Brian Adams tried to park his motorcycle in the circle, but got a lot of heat from the veterans.

http://i60.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/9b/7f2626de51a2d1d0c2240f0404b7299b.png

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Eddie Guerrero defeated Konnan in 10:56 by pinfall with a Frog Splash. 67/100

After the match Kanyon invited all of them in his crib. Eddie felt like a king of the world after Konnan was done. Herd left the parking lot, leaving Konnan alone, laying on the parking lot in a pool of blood. NWO really looks out for each other, huh?

I guess I rushed with the feeling of "everything will be better". It's still a good rating, but damn, are those matches so popularity-oriented? I should of get it through my skull to this point, but this match opened my eyes. As for the match again, I really liked Smack Down's parking lot brawl between Eddie and Cena, so it looked almost the same here.

http://i68.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0129/29/7e0e362aecb67be83533a14b2f9d4d29.jpghttp://i67.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0129/fc/78f6c6a7d46a39aee931f81a231e2afc.jpg

Hogan and Savage are interviewed backstage by Bobby Heenan, they use this time to hype their upcoming match with The Outsiders. Randy remembers those times when Hulk Hogan run down the aisle to help him out. Aginast Bret Hart too, after Elizabeth begged for help. "Macho Man" reads a deja vu promo about their relationships, while Hulkster keenly listens him out. It all ends up with Hogan standing still while Savage made his way to the ring...

"So Watcha gonna do, when Mega Powers runs wild on you?" 86/100

http://i64.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/19/237a36188d30bb2e6cc159054d1cb619.png

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage defeated Kevin Nash and Scott Hall in 9:53 when Hulk Hogan defeated Kevin Nash by pinfall with a Leg Drop. 10 minutes for a match like this is not long, but I felt like this bout didn't need a "slow build" approach. I let all four call it in the ring, and it went fine. Hogan came in after a hot tag and dropped his leg on "Big Sexy", who is the ultimate loser in this one. 80/100

Not enough selling shown, huh? Add some time decline and poor habits to the mix, and you'll be happy for a "B". Hogan and Savage are really up to entering a world title picture soon, maybe even right after this ppv, so we can expect those two squaring off against "The Nature Boy" too, as I booked NWO 2000 that way.

Bret Hart tapes his wrists, stretches and meditates to prepare for his title defense. He's really not in the mood to entertain us, at least on the microphone. Silent but deadly, Hart is warming up for the main event.

Our semi-main event is ready to kick off. DDP enters the ring in the proper way, avoiding the contacts with the rabid people behind the barricades. Ric Flair strutted his way to the ring second, completely unafraid of "The People's Champion", because DDP is not that man tonight. Referee touches Flair's kneepads to find something illegal, but Ric is clear. The referee of the bout is Charles Robinson, by the way.

http://i63.fastpic.ru/big/2015/0124/db/93efa63feb4d2fb1774498d9bcbd4edb.png

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Ric Flair defeated Diamond Dallas Page in 11:22 by pinfall with a fast roll up. Page really thought that one Diamond Cutter could take out that oldman. Flair kicked out once and never felt a finisher again in the course of the match. A classic figure four around the ring post spot entertained the crowd. Flair is victorious tonight, and New Yorkers love that. Quick count from "The Little Naitch" underlined his loyalty to Mr. Flair. 75/100

This is depressing. All those good promos, brawls, hype and stuff resulted in a mediocre grade for both men. Funny enough, they have a pretty good chemistry. Match was penalised only for DDP's inconsistency, which is B+ and Flair's age, which is something you don't care about. If the "perfect show theory" was on, I would understand, but now I can not. After all, it's not their last match, it is their first match in the new millenium. We have the time and the sources to better things up, but for now - 75.

Benoit abruptly shakes his head, and rubs his plams in anticipation. No fear, no jim-jams. This man is ready to make himself famous.

A video plays hyping Bret Hart vs. Chris Benoit. 75/100

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Chris Benoit defeated Bret Hart in 18:38 by DQ, after Hart attacked Chris with a chair. Bret Hart makes defence number 2 of his WCW World Heavyweight title. 91/100

Now we're talking! MOTN and Match of the Save. I decided to give Chris a ppv victory, and to let Bret keep the belt. Hitman was down with the match, so now Benoit is somewhere around stratosphere in terms of momentum and popularity! I think... Of course they had a great chemistry, thanks to Stu Hart. That kind of finish was not the best if you look at one match in particular, but this is a long life rivalry. Benoit made his job perfectly, and yeah, he's officialy a draw now.

After the match Hogan came out to help Benoit leave the ring, or get up at least. "Crippler" made Bret squeel tonight, as both Crossface and Sharpshooter were attached on the champion. Hogan couldn't just leave the poor man alone, and thought that he needed a shoulder to cry on. No. Benoit is for real. Beat and bruised Chris locked Hogan in the Crippler Crossface, making the legend tap out in front of a twenty thousand people! Shock, joy, appreciation. 20 thousand fans raised on their feet and started chanting "Benoit". Chris thanked the crowd and left the arena on his own... 80/100

New record is set, that was unbelievable. Gave Chavo a hug, told Steiner that he's awesome and gave some enouragement to Benoit. All three seemed pleased. Hulkster got a Stinger after the Crippler Crossface, legit. He will be out of action for six days, whew. On the other hand Dean Malenko gave a controversial interview, in which he stated that he loves to debut in new promotions. Are you going to WWF, Dean? I hope not.
