redhilleagle
I notice there isn't a "General discussion" board, so I thought I'd post here as TEW 13 is the only Grey Dog game I play. Are there any other british fans of TEW out there? Anyone ever play as a British company? I'd be interested in exhchanging stories. I have been trying (and failing) to run games as a British company, attempting to take over all of the others and become the "sole" British Wrestling company, unifying all of the belts and having the Undisputed British Heavyweight Championship. I've not yet acheived this, but it's fun trying.
Big Roguey
I had a pretty fun game going in the Cornellverse with a PROGRESS-esque promotion. Lasted up until 21CW raided me and I lost interest.

dstephe4
Yeah I'm British. I never played with a British fed though, partly because I've always viewed pro wrestling as an American institution. It's a tempting idea though, and I like the idea of making a British fed that Brits actually care about.
Nobby_McDonald
I'm British but have never played with a British company, nor the Cornell Verse for that matter.

redhilleagle
It's difficult, but an interesting challenge. I like the idea of playing a long game and building up youngsters into international stars. I've tried a game with a little cheating (boosting my money to silly amounts), I've tried a 0/0/0/0 game, but I'm now set on a game starting my own company and starting at HARD, which gave me £10,000 and 30 pop in Southern UK. All these games have had the same goal....to become the sole UK promotion, I don't even mind what size, although I'd prefer something at least cult so I can have TV, written contracts, Development, etc.
Anghrist
I'm a Brit and I play almost exclusively as small start-ups in Britain (although sometimes as ACPW when I want to try and recapture some of the fun I had in my TEW10 ROF game). I'm currently playing two RtG games in Britain, one as a Cult-based SE fed in Scotland where I'm currently at high regional, and another playing an RtG-Heidenreich game as an ROF/MoSC hybrid in Central Britain (when I realised embarrassingly late that popularity in Scotland doesn't spillover anywhere else in the UK and I had a bloody hard slog to get to D pop elsewhere so I could get a TV deal in my original game =/)
Self
I've never found the UK scene in the C-Verse all that interesting. Not sure why. Perhaps because it's so disconnected from the rest of the world. Perhaps because it's more difficult. Perhaps because it's too real a location for me, whereas Canada (where most of my games a based) still has a fairly mythical quality to me. Like it's Gotham or something. Bad Collin
I'm a Brit who plays the UK feds all the time. I tried to complete the RtG challenge solely in the UK last time but I got sacked and there was nowhere left to go. There is a thread here about the British scene: http://www.greydogsoftware.com/forum/showthread.php?t=523231&highlight=British, there are some exciting talents coming through as the game starts. redhilleagle
Cool, I'll check that thread out. Excuse my ignorance, but what is the RtG challenge? I might give it a go myself.
Bad Collin
Road to Glory. You start with a 0/0/0/1000 promotion and try and get an A* rated match with a national promotion. The thread is usually on the first page.
