The bar is completely empty, except for one man, obviously cleaning up and moving. Owner: “Sorry, my friend, didn’t you read the sign? This place is closed.” Stranger: “I know, I just rented it.” Owner: “Huh, they still managed to rent this place? Well, best of luck to you.” Stranger: “Why’s that? Jimmy’s the name, by the way. Still have a beer tucked away somewhere by any chance?” Jimmy lights up a cigarette. Owner: “Yeah I think I do. Hey, smoke ‘em now you can. I swear they’ll outlaw that one day in public rooms.” Jimmy: “Na, never gonna happen.” Owner: “Well, good luck with this place. Cost my last saving cent. Crowd’s useless. No need in not telling you since you already took over.” Jimmy: “Nope.” Owner: “So, gonna make any changes?” Jimmy: “Yep.” Owner: “Good luck to that anyway.” The owner gives Jimmy a beer (on the house) and starts attending to his usual business. After some time…. Jimmy: “Hey, don’t want to ask what I’m going to change?” Owner: “Right, okay, since you’re taking over this dump…what are you going to change?” Jimmy: “Thought you’d never ask. I’m turning this into a wrestling pub.” Owner: “What? Like in the Olympic Games?” Jimmy: “No, like in the United States.” Owner: “Huh? Never heard of it. Never seen it on TV.” Jimmy: “Believe me, it’s the next big thing.” Jimmy takes another drink…knowing he needs to kick that drinking habit before it gets the better of him.
BlueStar Posted April 4, 2015 Author Posted April 4, 2015 http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/BBB_zpsshtbxjwe.jpg [December 1996, Antwerp – Belgium] Jimmy James is walking outside his newly owned pub, bottle of scotch –nearly empty- in his hand. Jimmy: “Come on, Jimmy. Think. This has to work.” He takes out a badly written note. Jimmy: “Let’s go over this: opening of the pub: 31 december. Check. Getting the ring installed: 4th of January. Check. First event: Last Friday of January. Check.” Jimmy takes another drink. Jimmy: “Yeah, this is going to do it.” Jimmy clears his bottle and nonchalantly throws it down. He enters his newly titled pub, now called the Belgian Blood & Beer Bar. He goes behind the counter and grabs another bottle of scotch when reality hits him like a brick – his jaw drops down. Jimmy: “….I …. Need to hire …. People.” He hurries up and starts looking through the phonebook.

BlueStar Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/BBB_zpsshtbxjwe.jpg Friday 28th Jan 1997 – BBB Blood Saucage Festival - afternoon Jimmy is pacing around nervously. A few wrestlers have arrived on time, others are still on their way. He lights another cigarette, clearing his first pack of the day. “You don’t know what you’re doing, man!”, is the main thought running through his head. Okay, he did install that ring in time. Okay, he did buy some cheap seats. And he made a quick ad in the local papers: “Tonights menu at the Blood & Beer Bar: Blood sausage, applesauce & bread. And wrestling. Price: 300 Belgian francs.” A tall man walks up to him and introduces himself as Matthew Morris. MM: “Hey, you’re mr. James right? Matthew Morris. I’ll be announcing this thing with you. Ready for the show?” JJ: “To be honest, I don’t know.” MM: “First time shows are always tough. Don’t worry, people don’t expect much. And if you got someone good backstage to arrange everything, that should take care of things for the wrestlers. Who have you got to book the matches tonight?” JJ: “How have I got to what now?” MM: “It’s called a booker, a road agent. Someone who tells guys what to do.” JJ: “Euhm….I still don’t know what you mean.” MM: “D*rn man, you don’t have a booker? You’re into some deep trouble, boy.” JJ: “Let’s just cancel this.” MM: “Hey, you’re not cancelling my pay check here. Alright, I’ll give you a tip, for free. Ask guys who have some experience, let them arrange it, UNTIL you find someone to do it.” JJ: “Sounds like a plan.” Matthew Morris draws a big sigh and walks away. JJ: “I still don’t know what he means….”
BlueStar Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/BBB_zpsshtbxjwe.jpg Dark Match: Tony Mahr and Walter Morgan defeated Leon Harrison and Jerome Baker in 8:26 when Walter Morgan defeated Leon Harrison by submission with a Wigan Wrench. (E) http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/Eva%20Berlin_zpsig95hun3.jpg vs. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/Speedy%20Marie_zpshsnsoz2r.jpg Eva Berlin vs. Speedy Marie Booker: Udo Maslowski • Speedy Marie does her entrance as the happy and positive French girl which goes way over with the sausage-eating crowd. Eva Berlin, looking a bit more stern, gets a small boo. • Eva Berlin jumps her opponent before the bell rings, throwing her around. • More kicks and punches from Berlin. A bit of verbal abuse to the crowd (“Fress deine Wurst, Arschlog!”) to an eating fan got their attention. • Berlin misses a backdrop as Marie counters with a lariat, followed up with a bodyslam and an elbowdrop. And some sloppy takedowns. • Speedy Marie goes for an Irish Whip and tries her Discus Lariat finisher, Berlin ducks and nails a kick to the gut followed by the Berlin Bomb for the three count! Eva Berlin defeated Speedy Marie in 8:21 by pinfall with a Berlin Bomb. (E-) MM: “Well, we just saw our first winner here in BBB and it’s Eva Berlin in a fairly even match.” JJ: “Euhm…yeah, I suppose.” MM: “Speedy Marie missed some moves but I think she’ll get some Belgian love for this match.” JJ: “By me?” MM: “I don’t think so….” -- http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/Phil%20Templeton_zpss1qbcuwb.jpg vs. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/British%20Samurai_zpsftkup3h9.jpg A ginger-haired wrestler, Phil Templeton, stomps towards the ring and demands the microphone. PT: “Hello Belgium! Let me tell you, the Irish Fire is here now.” The crowd, still stuffing their faces with food, sort of non-responds. PT: “Let me make this short and sweet. I love a brawl, I love Blood, I love Beer and Sausage and applesauce! But what I would love the most, is to beat an English snob. Someone like … BRITISH SAMURAI!! The crowd doesn’t react but another wrestlers steps out and slowly enters the ring. British Samurai: “You’re on.” And just like that, British Samurai throws down the Mic and walks backstage. Templeton seems pumped up about this! Angle Rating: Templeton comes to the ring and challenges British Samurai who accepts (E-) -- http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/Trandafir%20Andrei%20Ionut_zpsbt0zrayz.jpg vs. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/White%20Knight_zpsbkcxuxzr.jpg Trandafir Andrei Ionut vs. White Knight Booker: Melvin The Fantastic • Trandafir Andrei Ionut comes out and is recognized by at least one fan who shouts “red card” to him. Ionut spits on the ground for that. • The White Knight comes out, foam club in hand, and shakes everybody’s hand, warning them that eating blood sausage and applesauce is dangerous for their health. • The bell rings, Ionut tries throwing Knight into the ropes but he holds on. A low kick sends Knight into the ropes but he counters and tosses Ionut to the ground. • Ionut retreats to the canvas. The two go through various opening moves and counters, mostly ending with White Knight using his muscle to block Ionut’s offence. • After a good five minutes into this back and forth, Ionut enters the ring and BLATANTLY kicks White Knight into his White Knights. The ref goes over for a stern warning and gets the same kick. That’s the bell. White Knight gets a DQ win as Ionut lost it. White Knight defeated Trandafir Andrei Ionut in 7:57 by disqualification. (E) MM: “What happened here? This guy is crazy! What do you thing, Jimmy?” JJ: “Hey, wait!” -- http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/Trandafir%20Andrei%20Ionut_zpsbt0zrayz.jpg vs. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/White%20Knight_zpsbkcxuxzr.jpg Well, this isn’t done for Trandafir Andrei Ionut. After the bell, ref Humphrey Woolsey gets tossed out of the ring and Ionut spits on the fallen White Knight. He keeps kicking him and punching him. White Knight tries to get up but can’t. Ionut goes outside the ring to get a chair but then the backstage wrestlers come out to stop the madness! MM: “Oh my! I think he just did a number on White Knight! What do you think, Jimmy?” JJ: “I think he did! Angle: The White Knight is brutally beaten down by the crazy Romanian! Templeton’s entrance is much more energetic, shouting to the crowd. • Templeton tries to overpower Samurai but he always counters. • As Templeton finally gets Samurai into the corner and can deliver some blows, the throw in the corner is reversed and Samurai slides under the ropes to cool down. • Templeton misses a big haymaker and gets a knee in the back. Samurai then starts working Templeton’s arm and back with submission holds. • Templeton powers out of a bow-and-arrow Submission and hits a big lariat and a powerslam. • Templeton sets up Samurai for his Northern Lights Bomb finisher but Samurai escapes and hits his Fisherman Suplex for a clean pin! British Samurai defeated Phil Templeton in 12:22 by pinfall with a Fisherman's Suplex. (E) MM: “For a moment, I thought the Irish aggression had him, Jimmy, but British Samurai is tough as nails. JJ: “Yeah, he must have eaten more blood sausage today than anyone.” MM: “I doubt that, Jimmy.” --- http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/Ioan%20Glyndwr_zpscmu4vash.jpg vs. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/Melvin%20The%20Fantastic_zpsyjhg8fzg.jpg vs. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/Udo%20Maslowski_zpsymfr1ll8.jpg BBB Supreme Title Triangle Match: Ioan Glyndwr vs. Melvin The Fantastic vs. Udo Maslowski Booker: British Samurai • A title match. First out is Udo Maslowski, who makes a pretty energetic entrance for a man of his size and age. Melvin The Fantastic is out next, drawing the first real boos of the night by shouting very bad stuff about Belgium. The lovable Ioan Glyndwr has brought his lute to his entrance (not his sheep) and much in contract of Melvin seems to be more interested in shaking hands than wrestling. • Maslowski gets the first upperhand, brutally slinging Glyndwr out of the ring and kicking Melvin into the corner. He dominates for a good 2 minutes until Melvin hits a big low blow on him. • Glyndwr takes over. Maslowski gets a kick to the head and Melvin gets a big armwringer and some elbows to it. • Maslowski decides to change the pace: he reverses an Irish whip and clotheslines Glyndwr out of the ring. He also hits a table and seems out. • Maslowski puts a beating on Melvin. Punches, kicks, a big bodyslam and a legdrop seem to have things going for Maslowski. • Maslowski seems to have Melvin set up for the Ground and Pound finisher, he rushes him but Melvin moves and drops his throat on the top rope. He immediately recovers and sets him up for the Melvin Piledriver AND CONNECTS! But as he goes for the cover, Glyndwr, from the outside, has entered the ring, spins him around, gives him a kick to the gut and gives him the Robin The Hood finisher! He hooks the leg, 1-2-3 and the first BBB Supreme champ is crowned! Triangle Match for BBB Supreme Title: Ioan Glyndwr defeated Melvin The Fantastic and Udo Maslowski in 13:40 when Ioan Glyndwr defeated Udo Maslowski by pinfall with a Robin The Hood. Ioan Glyndwr wins the BBB Supreme Title title. (E+) MM: “We GOT a champ, Jimmy. The Welsh guy did it!” MM: “Wait a minute!” -- http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/Bigger%20Dan%20Ewe_zpsx55icipb.jpg vs. http://i752.photobucket.com/albums/xx165/rikgeerts/BBB/Ioan%20Glyndwr_zpscmu4vash.jpg As Ioan Glyndwr’s hand is raised and he celebrates with the belt, a BIG wrestler runs out of the back and attacks him from behind. He stomps and stomps him brutally. The new champ seems to be out of it as he is tossed over the top rope. His assailant throws him back into the ring and beats on him some more until he’s left prone. MM: “What happened here? I think this guy should have been in the fight for the belt.” JJ: “That’s Bigger Dan Ewe. And he made his mark here! Tonight! MM: “Thank you all for coming, please finish your meal and see you next month!” JJ: “Don’t forget to pay! For the beer.” Angle Rating : Bigger Dan Ewe runs in to beat down the new champ! (D+) General Show Rating: E+ (JJ: That could have been way worse!)
BlueStar Posted April 6, 2015 Author Posted April 6, 2015 Fan Scorecard MisterRomanini: 0/4 main. 2/3 Bonus ((I loved that Shockmaster remark, but Bigger Dan Ewe did way better!) Mignightnick: 1/4 main. 1/3 Bonus I'll see how I plan these predictions in with rewards.

Disposable Heroes (Doctor Insane & Poppa Punisher) win the vacant tag titles after beating Monkey Business (Shane Hannigans & Tom Foolery). On the home front we try to sign Brian Holmes but he’s hot property and doesn’t want to sign. Trandafir Andrei Ionut, who we signed on a 3 month contract as he is rumoured to be trouble, extends for one year PPA and is scheduled to work a feud with White Knight. British Samurai reports that he’ll make a tour in Japan with Pride Glory Honor Wrestling. Our first show worked out really well. Surprisingly getting about 1800$ profit. Owner “Double J” Jimmy James will probably blow this on one evening. (The next show will be online on Sunday)

BlueStar Posted April 19, 2015 Author Posted April 19, 2015 Just a personal note here... 1) As BBB is a bit of a nonsense but looking to go mainstream act, I'll be posting pics for angles as well. After all, Bigger Dan Ewe looks better throwing people around backstage than in the ring. But don't tell him that. 2) Suggestions, input, etc is welcome. 3) This is, for the few people who read it, a prequel to the Owl Mountain Wrestling diary. The second ended before it started, the first was decent, I think.
