Cornette once again let the crowd and the TV viewers know that SMW was indeed back. Cornette then went on to go over the card for The Great American Bash taking place on Sunday before leaving. {59} Sabu defeated La Parka {61} In a fast paced match Sabu once more gave it his all, hurting himself almost as much as he hurt La Parka. Lee Marshall caught up with Sabu post match and tried to get a few words from the homicidal, suicidal, genocidal madman but Sabu blew Marshall off with no response. {36} Fobia defeated Squire David Taylor {52} In a squash match, Fobia dominated the veteran Squire Taylor and finished him off with a Face Your Fears. Mean Gean Okerlund caught up with Fobia and tried to get a few words out of him regarding his upcoming tag match at The Great American Bash. Fobia let everyone know that he was a huge fan of Hulk Hogan growing up and is thrilled to help his idol defeat those dastardly henchmen of Kevin Sullivan. Fobia ended the inpromptu interview with a classic “Whatcha gonna do when Hulkamania runs wild on you” statement and pose. {51} Chris Benoit and Dean Malenko defeated Fire & Ice {72} In a classic back and forth match Benoit and Malenko managed to use their skill and experience to overcome the power and toughness of Norton and Ice Train. The finish came when Norton tapped out to a Crippler Crossface. After a brief commercial break WCW Saturday Night came back with Col. Robert parker standing backstage with The Texas Hangmen. Col. Parker says that he is looking to manage some young up and comers like the Texas Hangmen and expand the Stud's Stable. The duo seem open to this offer and the three of them walk off together. {32} Nuke defeated The Barbarian w/Jimmy Hart {57} This was a hard hitting match that saw a lot of brawling that saw the announcers compare Nuke to Bruiser Brody and Stan Hansen. The match ended after Nuke landed a huge Meltdown on Barbarian before making the pin. Frost w/Dusty Rhodes defeated The Gambler {34} In a squash match, Frost dominated The Gambler with a series of karate moves and a devastating Crionic Kick before making the pin. Bam Bam Bigelow defeated Steve Doll {66} This was another squash match that saw Bam Bam dominate Steve Doll. Bam Bam used his power and deceptive speed to smash Doll within a couple of minutes, getting the announcers to consider him a potential World Championship contender. The Steiner brothers defeated Bunkhouse Buck and Dirty Dick Slater w/Col. Parker, The Road Warriors, and The Nasty Boys This fourway tag team match saw a lot of quick tags and unlikely double team moves as The Nasty Boys and The Road Warriors worked together several times in the match. Col. Parker did send The Texas Hangmen out to the ring and they attacked the Road Warriors and The Nasty Boys which lead to Scott Steiner pinning Slater to the chagrin of Col. Parker. After another commercial break Lex Luger came out to the ring and called out Glenn Gilberti. Lex says that he has a match already set for The Great American Bash so he wants his rematch right now![/b] {90} Lex Luger defeated Glenn Gilberti {73} Glenn Gilberti came out and answered Lex's challenge, but it was quickly apparent he was out of his league. Lex dominated the match but as suspected Arn Anderson came out to the ring and got involved in the match causing the referee to call for the DQ. As Arn continued his assault on Lex, Glenn left the ring with his TV title in his arms.
